Turtles Count it Off!   MoblinGardens
It's been while since I have written my last review.  I haven't played many games in the RGR lately.  I hadn't really found a good game to just sit down and play.  Recently I had remembered a game that I remember playing and loved in my late child hood that I knew I could find in the RGR.  I searched the game up, and played it all the way through.  It was much more addicting than I remembered.  The game was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Nintendo Gameboy Advanced.  This game was released on October 21st, 2003.  This game clearly goes along the story line similar to the story line that takes place in the 2001 release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.
The first category that I will be talking about in this review is the graphics. The first thing that you will notice when you turn on the game is that the 2001 cartoon show intro is featured as the intro of the game.  I find it impressive that they put this into the game and it's not even one of those GBA video carts.  The video is not as defined as you would see on the cartoon show, but it's still a nice touch to the game's graphics as it looks pretty good for being on the GBA.  Another thing to talk about is graphics during the story plot phases.  The reason I call it a story plot phase is because it is not something I would consider to be a cut scene.  It is essentially images of the characters with text boxes underneath them.  The images don't just stay still though.  They change to determine the mood of the character.  For an example, there was a part in the game when Michaelangelo was cracking a joke and he had a silly face on.  Just after that, something had scared him and he had a expression of fear written on his face.  I found this to be a nice touch to the game.  The most crucial part about the graphics on this game, well, is the game play itself.  It's your typical GBA graphics but it's the little things that seem to amaze me.  These things consist of the little box in the top corner with your turtle's face in it.  As you get hit or gradually loose health, the face will change.  For an example, if you have full health, the turtle will be smiling but as you loose health and are close to dying, it will look worried and hurt.  Another little thing is pretty neat is the fact that sometimes you will come across enemies like The Purple Dragons and they will be sitting up on a wall and jump down when you get close rather than them just standing in the middle of the screen waiting for you.
Next to talk about is the sound.  I found the sound in this game to be a nice touch.  The music during the story plot phases remind me a lot of Mega Man because of just the style of how the music sounds.  There are actually quite a few music tracks throughout this game that all differ in sound.  If in a story plot phase the turtle's are trying to figure out a mystery, the music will sound dark and mysterious.  Another example of the fitting music is that when you are in a level and you are fighting many enemies, they music will sound cool and very techno driven.  There is also very good detail in the little things in this game as well.  You can hear the enemies make grunting noises when they take hits as well as hearing your weapon hit them.  It is especially satisfying when you are playing as Michaelangelo and you hit an enemy with you nun-chucks and it makes a loud clunk noise. The music and sound choice for this game was a good choice.
I found this game to be very addicting.  If you enjoy beat em up games, then you will enjoy this one a lot.  I found myself playing through the levels more than once for the sheer fact that it was fun to beat up gang members or other ninjas.  There are also a couple vehicle stages that are very fun to play over again as they are fast pace and exciting.  They are also completely different so it is always fun to play them all.
Now let's talk about the story in this game.  There are four different story lines in this game, each with their own turtle.  If you choose to play as Leonardo, you will find yourself fighting against many small robot things called Mousers.  You must find the source of this and put a stop to the Mousers that had destroyed your old home.  If you choose to play as Raphael, you will end up fighting against many members of a New York gang called "The Purple Dragons".  You will eventually run into another character names Casey Jones and you'll have to fight The Purple Dragons alongside him.  The third Turtle that you can choose to play as is Donatello.  His story line consists of Raphael being kidnapped by the invisible foot ninjas and it is your job to save him.  The last turtle that you can play as is Michaelangelo.  In his story line, you find many strange monsters roaming around the sewers in which you live in so you decide to follow it to see where it came from.  If you are any familiar with the 2001 cartoon series, you will realize that this is heavily oriented on the story plot of that TV show.  If you have watched the TV show, there will not be any surprises in the plot.
The next thing we will talk about is the depth of this game.  This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's weak point as it does not actually have very much to offer.  Each character has four levels for each of there story lines which is not very much.  These levels consist of two regular stages were you must get to point A to point B with fighting many enemies as well as avoiding obstacles.  Each story also has a vehicle stage which is either on the second or third level and the last level all end with some sort of boss level were you either have to fight a bunch of enemies, or just one big enemy.  Like I said, this game does not have much to offer and I was able to complete all of this in about a short time of 1.5 to 2 hours.
The last thing to talk about is the difficulty.  There are three difficulty setting for this game which have the titles of Easy, Normal, and Hard.  On the Easy setting, I was able to complete the game with only about four deaths through out the entire game.  On Normal setting, there was more deaths and of course on the Hard setting, there were even more deaths than on normal.  The difficulty setting determines how aggressive and how hard the enemies are to defeat.
In conclusion,  this is a great game for you to play.  The controls are very easy and the music is nice.  It is a quick play if you are looking for a game that does not require not much attention to beat.  I you have not already at least tried to play this game, I suggest giving it a quick try in the RGR because it truly is a great game for the GBA.

TMNT: The 4 Stories   justinfeena1
The 4 stories of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Stories:
You can choose between the 4 Turtles and each one got his own story.
Leonardo has to fight against some mechanic Mousers.
Raphael meets Casey for the first time and fights Purple Dragon.
Donatello is searching for the kidnapped Raphael.
 Michelangelo investigates the old subways.
The 4 different stories are all nice and with some cool phrases (posted screenshot).
Gameplay:
The gameplay is typical for TMNT. You walk from one stage to the other and beat up some bad guys. Each one of the Turtles has his own moves and combos and in each story there's a special act: for example Shell Bike act with Raphael or Shellboard act with Michelangelo.
Graphic:
The graphic is GBA-like good and the different areas are ok, nothing special but ok.
Sound:
The sound is good and matches very well to the Turtles.
Conclusion:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for GBA is a good game with dynamic fights and 4 separate stories and cool phrases.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Review   linkmaster99
Well here I am finding myself doing a review for this game. Well I used to have this game for the original Game boy advance, and I have played through most games, but this one right here really takes the cake. This game was fun, and still yet interesting, and it kept me amazed through most of the stories. I really enjoyed beating this game, and it was really fun. I remember times when I was at homed always had my eyes glued to this game. Well I have been playing this game for about 1 hour, and 5 minutes. It kept me amused, and I never stopped till I completed this. Yes that is right this game isn't very long, but it is fun, and detailed. Well let me get started with my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles review.
Graphics: 9
These graphics on this game are some what I would say pretty good. I liked it, and it made the game a whole lo better, and see able as well. I would say that they actually helped me through the game. If I can see good then I can play good as well right. Well considering it to be like a 2003 game, it had some pretty decent looks. I also. In extension history as a teenage mutant ninja turtles game. It seemed a little occward as well. Like well at some points you seem to look cool then you seem to look not. That is what I mean.
Sound: 10
The sound was really decent compared to other things I heard. I liked the sound. It was really detailed, and the music went with the levels I achieved to. I been through them all, and enjoyed every last bit of it too. This games sound was incredible. Seems so like it was made for it, which it obviously was. Anyways You all get the point by now. Time to move on.
Addictiveness: 8
I won't lie to you this game had me hooked. I was like wow from playing this game again. The thing that really gave me a shocker is for what used to take me days to beat. I was focused, and beat this writing a hour. I really didn't see that coming. I feel like I need to get back up on my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Franchise just from this. It was so amazingly awesome, I couldn't evan take it in right. I seemed so relaxed, at the same time consotrated.
Story: 5
There really isn't much to say for this. I know it was a good game, but the story seemed a little short. You play as each character Leo, Ralph, Donny, and Mikey. They all have there own story, and they all have a certain difficulty. Like for instant on my basic opinion. Leo had the easiest story, and Mikey had the hardest. Then after again. Ralph Had the next easiest story, and then Donny had the next hardest. So from starters I mean like this Super easy = Leo, Kind a Easy = Ralph, Kind a hard = Donny, and Super hard = Mikey. Those are what I mean.
Depth: 5
It was simply a very short game. I would consider it being longer if other characters had a story as well, such as Casey, or master splinter, or maybe evan some of the bad guys. That probably would have made the game a little more interesting, and fun. Instead it is just the 4 ninja turtles. That would also spice up the difficulty a bit to . Well that is about pretty much that needs to be said about this category. Lets move on to another.
Difficulty: 6
This game was a extremely easy one, and it was only hard at 1 point. It was hard when I had to do the final act on Mikey's story. Other than that I found this game extremely easy, and still quite fun. Most range difficulty it would get from me is a 5, but since that act I told you about I decided to keep it a 6. That is almost about what is needed to be said. Still though. I believe if you played this game, which you should, you would be amazed with what you just witnessed. The real funny thing is it could be a lot harder I only did it on easy.
Overall: 9.5
This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game franchise, was quite the clever, and interesting way to look at the game. It was well thought out, and the action was incredible. This game was really suitable for me to enjoy. I evan got the password for beating this game. Anyways I enjoyed playing through this game once more from having my eyes permanently glued to my game boy advance. I also had droughts that I would not beat it, but I managed :). Anyways You would really have quite the fun playing it. I believe you should all give this a shot at being good. Then will you witness the awesomeness for yourself. Well either way it goes I got my fun out of it so I am satisfied with that. I still will be playing it some though, but only for beating it on a different difficulty this game is far more valuable to just beat, and toss aside. I will stride forward, until I completely beat this game. I absolutely have to do that is I want the job done.
Well that is the end of my review. Sorry if I am a little rusty on it. I haven't reviewed in a while. I still think I did a pretty darn good job on it though. I will tell you guys some important information. When you make it to that motorcycle race with Ralph. Do not I repeat DO NOT. Bump into tires. The won't be like other items you bump. They will make you stop, and then you have to regain speed again. Well good luck. I hope you are spending 30 viz to play this macho, and beast game ;).
