Tales of Phantasia: A classic Dragoon Sword88
The only version of Tales of Phantasia in America would be the GBA version which some say is sad and I agree. The game franchise was a cut above most franchises during the time. The game has many features that sets it apart from most RPG. From it's battle system to the character design and voices I say it is a great game to play.
The story is nice for an RPG but I wont get into it much to avoid spoilers. The main character Cless and his best friend Charles go hunting in the woods to return to their village being destroyed and loved ones murdered by a group of evil knights. On the way Cless meets Mint and the three find a tomb were Dhaos an evil entity lies the knight release Dhaos from his prison and are killed by the one they freed. Tornix sends Cless and Mint back in time. I'll stop there to avoid any other spoilers.
The battle system is that of a fighting game which was new in the RPG franchise were it was fast-paced battling( which is sure to be a favorite of the fast-paced lovers) still with its RPG elements. This was the beginning of the Tales battle system. Still it was flawed by only being in a 2-D format it is still a great battle system.
The game offers a unique battle system, challenging puzzles, and mini-games so this game offer a lot for its time. All in all it offer the standards of an RPG and is still fun to play.
The graphics would've been better but considering it being a SNES game the graphics are good for its time. The addictiveness is high for RPG players and possibly fighting game players. The game can be a bit difficult at the start with learning how to use the skills correctly and as it progresses, but can be easy for those who are accustom to the skills system.
So to sum it up Tales of Phantasia is a great SNES game classic which will get a lot of fans( and nostalgia lovers).

Tales of Phantasia Totts
While the first title in the Tales series of RPGs, Tales of Phantasia wouldn’t see a release outside of Japan until 2006 (on the Gameboy Advance), which is a shame considering the quality of the game. This title would be the first 46 Megabit game to be released on the Super Famicom, as well as the first game to feature streamed audio voices, thanks to the power of the “Flexible Voice Driver.†This includes full vocals for the song “Yume Wa Owaranai.â€
The plot follows two young men, Cless Alvein and Chester Burklight, who are out hunting when their village is destroyed. When they return, they find their families killed, and Cress vows revenge. Along the way, they make new friends and allies, adding to the party in skill, power, and capability. It sounds stereotypical, yes, but the battle system goes above and beyond. It’s an early build of the Tales combat system, known as the Linear Motion Battle System. Combat is on a 2D plane, similar to a fighting game, where characters can run around attacking one another. The player generally controls one character, while the computer handles the rest.
In Tales of Phantasia, the system is not as refined as it would be in later games, so the player never has total control over their character. But they can make general selections about the AI of other characters, improving the party’s survivability.

Tales of phantasia snes translation deggle
Tales of Phantasia was a great game for Snes and now it's also for ps1 and Game boy but the original version on Snes was by far the best from voicing and graphics and the dialogue is a little dirty in some parts the game is basically for the teen+ gamers out there the addictiveness of the game was hard to resist you just had to play it again and again to make sure you got everything there is. And the storyline was beautiful as the graphics the story just pulled you in so quick the depth of it was deep and I mean deep the difficulty was not so hard once you got the hang of the controls and moves and abilities well that's it about this great game hope you read and play the game or you will regret it.

Great game Rasin
As far as I can tell difficulty wise not really an issue unless you've never played a game of the series before or any title similar to this like star ocean they both have similar game play elements, depth I have not played this one all the way through yet so I can't accurately judge this but I'm willing to bet it offers some good content even if if lacks something. Story well as far as it goes it seems a little cliche but not really I'm a sucker for games like this so I find it appealing, addictiveness definitely would and will want to play it again often especially if I'm in the middle of a session where I haven't played through it all the way yet as for sound well I suppose it's not half bad considering how the snes was back then when it was one of the top consoles it's pretty good The graphics are a touch less in my oppinion than star ocean in some parts although I like the grass in the plains when your in combat, has some decent detail to it. Overall I wish I could give it a perfect 10 but it just isn't there yet for me
