Frustration sets in, and the challenge intensifies legacyme3
Another Leggy Review, and this time we focus on the subject of this month's RGR Screenshot Challenge, Super Mario Forever (Frustration).
The game is notorious for how impossible it looks, and how difficult it is, especially compared to the original game on the NES
Graphics- 7
I can't really give it a higher rating, I see 7 as average, and the NES graphics are starting to blend together for me. Not much can be said here.
Sound - 10
I am a fan of the Mario Theme, which I am glad you get to have in it's entirety, the sounds stay true to the original game which it should anyway. I give it the same rating I would give Super Mario Bros. in terms of it's soundboard.
Addictiveness - 10
I usually don't go back to an NES game, so when I do, you know it's worth playing again and again. It's not easy, so it has that challenge factor, and boosts ones adrenaline. This game is worth playing over and over until you can get to the end.
Story- blank
Not too much of a story, it's just a hard game.
Depth - 9
If you don't think this takes a while to beat, you have obviously beaten it numerous times, and can do it in your sleep, or are a liar. It will be the latter in most cases. Even once you beat the game, you have the option to go back into it to beat your time.
Difficulty - 10
This is truly one of the hardest games in terms of challenge. The controls are simple, but the game and execution are hard. I myself have yet to advance past world 1-2, so I personally need to play more.
Overall- 8.7
It's a fun game, it's a hard game, it's a game that many get frustrated over. But more than anything else, it's Mario. I'm a fan of the original, and this is truly a challenge worthy of the best Mario players. Keep in mind I have only gotten past world 1-1 and have yet to bother screenshotting (trying to get the hang of it if i ever try a speed run).
All in all, it's a tough game that everyone should witness.

Super Mario Frustration BeaglePuppy1234
The game Super Mario Frustration is a hacked version of the game Super Mario Bros for nes. This game was hacked for more difficulty. It features 4 levels. The first is a rather difficult level to beat you must first glitch at the beginning and then get a rather long distance jump. You must also manage to get to a certain part while still in big mode so you can break some bricks and win. There is some move blocks which are very difficult to stay on because there are many obstacles. The second level is honestly in my opinion just there to take up space. The third level is rather difficult. It is hard not to fall down and lose. Level four is rather hard especially at the end. There is a jumping bowser which throws axes and shoots fire at the speed of a gun shot. Oh, and there's a laser near him just to make it a little more of a challenge. Good luck beating this game. It is quite difficult and it is very fun, though upsetting to lose. Have fun! The story is not very deep. The basic story is just that the evil King Of Koopas , Boswer has stolen Princess Peach and Mario must save her. The quality is pretty good considering the time the game was designed. The music is good and addicitive. The game itself is addictive you will probably play it many times trying to beat it. it is frustrating as shown in the title. This is one of the best Mario hacks youll ever play. If you like to test your skill i would definitely reccomend this game, Sincerely BeaglePuppy1234

The Pain, o god the pain. so much pain RedHotReviewer
No, just because you think the review title of this thread means the review or the game I am going to review is bad, doesn't always mean that. If you are wondering what I mean by that, just read on.
A little fact about this game you didn't know: This was the hardest game until hard relay mario came out (2007 or something like that) and Hard Relay Mario is still one of the hardest hacks because of the fact YOU must use save states and glitches to win the ever increasing difficulty of the levels, glitches and all that you had to perform.
Graphics: 8/10
This game has the same graphics as Super Mario Bros except the guy who made this has made the graphics slightly better. I mean, the dude who came up with this game is like some sort of genius or something. He has removed most of the annoying blocks in the game. The only annoying one he has left in the game is that very long fire bar block which is very hard to dodge in this game. I believe it does appear in Super Mario Bros 2 the lost levels (or one of the games in the series) but that isn't as hard as the one in this game to dodge. And mind you in this game, there is more than 1 in some levels.
Gameplay 8/10
The controls for this game is basically like any NES Mario game we have on here. To go faster you press z and to jump you press x. I am telling you the controls for this game because of the fact that some people on the game comments didn't know how to jump. The rest of the controls are the same.
Sounds 10/10
This game contains the normal NES sounds, which all NES hacks should have due to how good the music the music by NES is to listen to. (I hope that made sense to you guys, if you reply to this thread and you find that it didn't make sense for the sound. I would like you to tell me how to fix that.)
Addictiveness: 10/10
If you are not a Mario expert I really wouldn't rate this a 10. Since the frustration of the game will mount on you. If you are very good at Mario (like I am, I mean I have beat a so called impossible level, that has to make me like an expert or something) you will keep going until you have beat the game. The ending screen is like the usual how princess thanks Mario for rescuing her and you know the rest. I only say if you are a Mario expert to complete the game because it gets much harder, and you will be much better for many situations if you can complete this game.
Story 5/10
The story to this game is the same old same old. How Bowser has trapped Princess Peach and you need to save her. But mind you, Bowser has sent you to like a hell place. I mean you need to glitch, wall jump and long jump just to complete the first level in this game. But you don't have to glitch. Glitching just saves you a small amount of time.
Depth 10/10
You will need a few hours to beat this game, I have beaten this game at least 5 times now and it still takes me a few hours to beat the game. It is no different any time you play it. Its just the time you take to get to one position is what kills me a lot of the times. Also the fact once I was at the last part of the game with one life left and I used a a save state when I died
Difficulty 10/10
You must be crazy to rate this anything lower then a 10. As I stated above it does not get much easier as you play the game more often. It gets easier when you get better at choosing the right times to use save states, wall jumping as well as long jumping. I know you don't have to wall jump but it does make it easier if you know how to wall jump. I could tell you how, if I knew how to explain it to you.
Overall 8.8/10
You will enjoy this game even if you play it for 5 minutes or so if you can manage to get past the spawn death of the first level. I do believe at that time it was allowed but now a days spawn killing in ROM hacks is not allowed unless it is a Kaizo Hack.

codepoint9's review on super mario frustration codepoint9
Super Mario Frustration is probably the hardest game I have ever done but it doesn't look like it but every part of it is possible to beat. I gave up after level 1-3 because is was so hard. It's still has a lot of glitches and it is REAL frustrating but with time you get passed the levels. All and all its a great hacked game and every level you go through makes you feel like you just punched the devil in the face and got away with it. You get real angry when your in the level but when you beat it you'll act like a little kid in a candy store. If you are looking for a hard game with a lot of challenge Super Mario Frustration is the game for you.

Super Mario Frustration Marcmoney
Super Mario Frustration is a game made by Vizzed. :) It happens to be a very hard game as you can see by my ratings. :P Super Mario Frustration was very hard for me because I could never jump over the other block. :S I would not recommend getting this game, but if you want to try it out and see if you can actually jump over to the other block. Let me know if you did. :P It also has infinite lives and it is a 2-player game included. Super Mario Frustration can make some people frustrated, including me.

Super Mario fustration Pikakai
Hi all I'm going to do a short review on super Mario bros frustration.
Its very hard; I can't make it past the first level however that doesn't stop me reviewing the game.
To make a long story short, the game has lots of challenging obstacles that can only be bypassed by certain things. Like in the beginning, you have to jump as soon as you enter the first level. To land on the tiles.
There are videos on you tube with players only barely completing the first level and then giving up on the second.
So to conclude Super Mario bros frustration is very hard and does exactly what it says on tin; it frustrates people.
