It is Mario All Stars (Mario Al Stars and Super Mario World Review)   tornadocam
Mario is back in this all start collection. Five games great games in one. So here we go its me Mario, Okay not really. But it is me tornadocam and I am reviewing this game or games.
Plot: 10
Wow, were should I begin with 5 games. So to be fair I'm going to go over the plot of all 5 games. It is hard to say there is a plot when there is 5 games in this cartridge and each one has their own  plot. The plot is going to vary depending on what game the player plays. So  lets begin. Super Mario Brothers (also known as Super Mario Bothers one) If the player picks the very first game here is what they would be dealing with. Bowser King of the Koopa kidnaps Princes Peach and takes her to his castle. Mario and his brother Luigi must race through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue the Princess and foil Bowser's plans of taking over the kingdom.  Super Mario Brothers the Lost Levels is just basically the same plot from the first game so need to repeat it. Super Mario Brothers 2 If the player chooses this game it is a little bit different. Here is the plot for Mario Brothers 2. Mario dreams that he hears cries for help and sees a door in his dream. He opens the door and hears cries "save us from the evil Wart. Defeat Wart remember he hates vegetables". Mario wakes up goes for a picnic with his friends. He tells them about his dream. Suddenly he hears the same cry for help and sees the same door. What Mario Dreamed is actually happening. Mario and his friends go to the mysterious new world to liberate its people. If the player picks Super Mario Brothers 3 the plot is like this. Boswer returns to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. However this time Bowser has brought his children the Koopalings to take over the kingdom. Each Kingdom of the Mushroom Kingdom has been taken over by Koopalings. Princess Peach writes a letter to Mario and Luigi telling them what has happened. The Mario Brothers set out again to crush Bowser and his Children. Finally we have Super Mario World.  The Plot of Super Mario world goes along like this. Mario, Luigi and Peach after their crushing victory in Super Mario Brothers 3, which vanished the Koopas from the Mushroom Kingdom, decide to take a vacation to Dinosaur Land.  However, Peach disappears the brothers automatically suspect Bowser is involved. The Brothers then find Yoshii and he tells them that Bowser and his children have stormed Dinosaur Land. The brothers and Yoshii head out to liberate the Island and rescue Peach. Okay, yeah so this plot was hard to rate with 5 games. So I remembered how fun I had playing all the Mario games especially 2, 3 and Super Mario World. I give Super Mario All Stars plus Super Mario World a perfect 10. All the games have a good plot and offer something new.

Graphics: 10
Okay what can I say 4 of these games were originally on 8 bits. Now the graphics are in 16 bits and it really shows. Super Mario Brothers now has very awesome graphics compared to its days on the NES. Mario and Luigi's shape is more defined, the enemies now have awesome sprints and the controls are nicely done. The backgrounds are so much better. In the other games its the same thing. Super Mario 2 has better backgrounds then it did when it first came out. The waterfalls look like waterfalls. The night time stages look like night. Not to mention the way the stars glow in the background in the desert stages is a nice touch. Super Mario 3 had awesome graphics when it came out in 1990. Well, the graphics of that game just got more awesome. The backgrounds in the 3rd game are so nice that the way the hills move to 16 bit, and how the stages now look is so awesome. Super Mario World already had 16 bit graphics and it rocked. The way the Lava glows, the forests stages it is so awesome. All of these games had their sprints and controls fixed. Anybody that has played the first game knows what I mean. In the first game controls seemed sluggish and stiff a few times. Also the sprints in the first Mario game were kind of out of whack in a few times. So it was nice to see them fixed. The lags in the 8 bit games have all been fixed. No were in this game does there seem to be a lag or the controls seem stiff. For Nintendo to convert 8 bit games into 16 bit games, and fix the sprints that is remarkable. Super Mario All stars & Super Mario World really shines on its graphics. The graphics were so smooth I feel like this game deserves a perfect rating of 10.

Sound: 9
What Can I say about the sound. The games in this super game all have sound. Super Mario  no longer has the tingle that it did when it first came out. The way the enemies sound in that game is so much better. Also the fire weapon sounds so much improved. Now the only thing is the first game has less than 5 sound tracks so I was hoping they might have added some new ones but I guess Nintendo wanted to keep it original. The Sound in the second game is so much better. The way the players pick up veggies and throw them is a nice sound. The sound that enemies make when they are thrown into other enemies is still pretty funny. But, just like the first game Super Mario Brothers 2 has a short sound track which is minor but if it can get tiring. The third game had a longer soundtrack but the sound is now much better. Mario fire weapon is still good. However the way the coon tail sounds when Mario is flying is so much improved. The player can now hear the sounds to let them know they are flying. Also how enemies sound in the 3rd game is very good. They sound more intimidating than they were in the 8 bit version. Super Mario World had a lot of sound tracks in it. The way the fireball sounds, and how the cape sounds is really nice how it makes a nice hum to it. Plus the sound the enemies make again can be intimidating. The levels each have their own sound track in Super Mario World which is really nice. I really like the Forrest level it is my favorite in that game. Still there are plenty of sounds in Super Mario World a lot of them are memorable and some are funny. Now, you may be wondering why I gave this a solid rating of 9 but not a 10. The reason being is because of the very short soundtracks of Super Mario Brothers 1 and 2. I know they were trying to be original but since this was 16 bit I was hopping they might have added a few more tracks in those two games. However, that is very minor and most players it does not bother. So to sum it up Super Mario All Stars had a very good sound to it. Nintendo really did good converting the 8 bit sounds into 16 bit tunes they do not sound different at all just better quality.

Addictiveness: 10
I suspected a game that has five games in its cartridge would be very fun to play over again. I was not disappointed. I think just because the games are now in 16 bit really adds to their replay value. Super Mario Brothers 1 and 2 are even more fun to play than they were on their NES games. Super Mario 3 and Super Mario world are very high on replay value. What I also thinks adds replay value is you can now save your game. Used to if you had to leave, you had to turn the game off and too bad it meant starting over. Now you can save your process which is nice. The player can save their game and when they are able to play again , start were they left off. There are 5 games to chose from each with their own story. So it is nice to play through each game. Due to the games being better in graphics and sound as well as being in 16 bit. I find because of those reasons that this collection of games is fun to play.

Depth: 10
The Depth of this game is really huge. Like, I mentioned above the player has 5 games to chose from. Each game  has its own depth. Super Mario Brothers 3, and Super Mario World have high depths. It is fun in those games to collect different power ups and try to win with them. Plus they are secrets in those two games that need to be unlocked. In Super Mario World they are secret stages that can be unlocked. Both 3 and Super Mario World have different items that can be used to win. Not to mention 3 and Super Mario World have long stages. Both of those games have 8 worlds with several stages in them. Now The other games may not have the depth level but there is still a lot going on. Super Mario Brothers 2 it is fun to play with a different character after beating the game. Super Mario Brothers one has the least depth which is okay considering it is the first game. So since you can choose from 5 games and each game offers its own depth. I feel like it deserves a 10 out of 10. I personally liked how Nintendo was able to get 5 games into one cartridge. I also like how each game has its own depth. I enjoy playing games that have a lot to offer. If you are looking for a game that has a lot to offer you have picked a good game here.

Difficulty: 9
The difficulty really varies on the game you chose to play. The first game Super Mario Brothers was pretty tricky but it did not get hard till after the 4th world. In the first game though what was so difficulty was the enemy placement in that game. It is so easy to get boxed in with baddies in that game. I have played that game several times and there are so many enemies its hard not to get hit by them. Then there is the maze levels. So the First game had its tricky spots. If you decided to play the Lost Levels good luck there. That game was the hardest Mario game ever. They are traps galore and the enemy placement is twice as bad as it was in the first game. Plus you have poisonous mushrooms in that game. If you chose Super Mario Brothers 2 it is the least difficulty of the games. Now, it does have its tricky spots and the enemy placement can be high after level 3 but it is not to hard. If you ware wanting a game to get used to how Mario games play than I would recommend starting with that one. Super Mario Brothers 3 is a hard game, longer stages, enemy placement and just more of the stages feel like obstacle courses. Super Mario World plays a lot like three. However what makes Super Mario world difficult is the enemies now have new attack patterns. So, the difficulty is going to vary depending on the game you pick.  I give the overall difficulty a 9 out of 10. The reason it does not get a 10 is for two reasons. The first being you can save your game. While playing you do not have to start all over just save your game and when you get more free time you can continue. I remember playing on the NES and it was aggravating when you got deep in the game but had to go do something because you had to start all over. The second reason it gets a 9 out of 10 overall. Is because two of the games have moderate difficulty. Super Mario Brothers 1 and 2 have their tough spots but are not too bad once you get used to the controls. The other three games the Lost Levels, Three and Super Mario World can just bury you in difficulty and make you want to scream.. So that is why I give the all star collection a solid difficulty rating of 9 out of 10 .

Overall 9.8
What can I say the All Stars is a great game. I can remember playing Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3 when I was little on the original Nintendo. It was fun to play those games. Now they have been remastered into a 16 bit game. They are more colorful, better springs, better graphics and better sounding. I remember buying the All Stars I want to think it was 1996 maybe 1997 when I got this. I played every game because it was that fun. I also liked how they added Super Mario World to the game collection. I had friends who had Super Mario World because it came with their Super Nintendo. My SNES came with Donkey Kong (nothing wrong with that by the way as that is a very fun game too). I had heard how great Super Mario World was. So this was my way of getting it. I really loved playing this game when it came out. Guess what here I am and I enjoy playing these games. Every game has better graphics, springs, sounds and everything else. If you played the regular NES games you will find  how great they are remastered in this collection. If this is your first time be prepared to be blown away. Everything a great game has this game collection has. I really liked this collection. I highly recommend playing this game you will not regret it.

PacmanandMariofan's Review of Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World for the SNES!   Pacman+Mariofan
Wazzup, vizzed members? Here is my review of a rare compilation game for the SNES called Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World. This game features five classic Mario games that are still famous today.
Graphics: 8
The graphics are amazing, especially for an old game. Four of the games featured in this compilation are classic NES Mario games. The original NES versions of the games have slightly dull graphics (compared to modern consoles) but the re-made versions of those games that you can play in this compilation look a lot brighter and more detailed. For example, in Super Mario Bros. 3, the text and "item boxes" at the bottom of the screen in each level used to be black and white text and items but in the re-made SNES version you can play in this compilation, everything is in color. Super Mario World, a classic SNES game featured in this compilation, didn't change at all because Super Mario World is an SNES game and this compilation is an SNES game, too. Because of that, there's no reason to change the graphics in that game.
Sound: 9
The sound is my favorite part of this game. Most of the music is re-made from the NES but there are a couple new songs too. You'll hear a new song the second you start playing this game. The title screen has a brand-new song. Once you get past the title screen, you'll hear another new song playing on the game select screen. You'll hear new songs in many other places, too.
Some sound effects are brand-new like the music. Most of them are re-used from Super Mario World, such as the sound effect you hear when you make Mario jump. Like the music, you'll hear new sound effects right when you start the game. Before the title screen music, you'll hear noise coming from all of the characters in the title screen. Then when you press the start button, you will see a transition effect and you will hear a cool fitting sound effect.
Addictiveness: 9
This game is five classic Mario games in one compilation. Of course it's going to be addicting, especially if you're a huge Mario fan. This game will likely keep you hooked for a long time since all five games take quite a while to beat if you haven't played them before or you're not very good at them.
Story: 8
The stories in all of these games are excellent.
In Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels, Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser and Mario must go through many levels to save her.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach must team up and take turns going through many levels and fighting many bosses to finally encounter Wart, beat him in a huge battle, and save the kingdom.
In Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario must go through many levels, beat many bosses, collect items from Princess Peach on his way, and after beating world seven, Mario finds out that Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach. In world eight, Mario must go through challenging levels to get to Bowser's castle, fight Bowser, and save Peach.
In Super Mario World, Mario must go through many levels, beat many bosses, get to Bowser's castle, and beat Bowser to save Peach.
Depth: 9
This game has a lot to offer. There are five games in this compilation and in each game are many worlds to get past and many enemies to kill. It will definitely take a long time to beat all five games if you haven't played them before or you're not very good at them.
Difficulty: 8
All five games featured in this compilation start out easy but they get more difficult as you progress through them, especially Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels is a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. Depending on how good you are at the original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels may be the hardest for you to beat. The rest of the games aren't too bad, though.
Overall: 9
This is a really great game, especially for people that love the classic games included in this compilation. You should try this out whether you're a Mario fan or not because you never know if you'll like it until you try it.
I hope you enjoyed this review! I would greatly appreciate some feedback! Be sure to rate this review too!

Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World Review by TornadoMudkip   TornadoMudkip
NOTE: Because this game is a 5 in 1 Game, I'll tell something about all the games. (Only some parts.)
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are just amazing!
(Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World) The map design is smashing- in cold places it's icy, and in places like the beach it's hot.
(All Games) The level design is also brilliant, and all the obstacles are great.
The enemies fit perfectly.
(All Games except Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels and Super Mario World) You play in this game as Mario, who has a splendid design. If you play with 2 players, then the 2nd player, Luigi, has an amazing design as well.
(Super Mario Bros 2) In this game you can play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad.
You can choose which one that you would love to play with; all of them have a nice design.
(Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels and Super Mario World) In this game you can play as Mario and Luigi. Mario almost has the same looking design as in the other games, and Luigi is just Mario, but only taller and with the color green. If you lose your life, then Mario or Luigi has a funny looking face. Super Mario World also introduced Yoshi, a dinosaur who helps you in your adventure. I really love Yoshi because he's so cute.
And of course all the items, like the Fire Flower, look smashing!
Sound: 10/10
The sound is just classic for all games- I like classic music in a game, because it gives you a nice feeling. The sound quality is nearly perfect for me, and almost every new world/level has a completely different sound; I enjoy the fact that there's a different tune everywhere in the game. If you die in all the games, you'll hear a special sound for that; I like that sound because it fits dying in a game. In places like towers/castles, the music is a little creepy. The sounds really get me fired up, giving me that 'never give up' spirit. That makes me want to beat the game even more, which is important.
Addictiveness: 10/10
This game is extremely addictive, and I really enjoy playing it. Because this game is actually 5 games in 1, you can do a lot, and you won't get bored quickly. I haven't beaten all of the games yet, but I will, as the game is so addictive to play. All of the games available are classics, and classic games are always special.
If you lose a level, you can still play and try again to succeed- if you don't give up, then you'll always be the winner! Because you can have up to 4 save files in every game, you can always start a new one if you want to complete all the games again.
Story: 8/10
(All games except Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario World) Like almost every Mario game, this one has the same story: Bowser kidnapped Princess Peach, and you (Mario) must save her. As always the story is funny, but if the story was different this game would be more fun.
(Super Mario Bros 2) The object of this game is to beat a big frog called Wart. It adds to the enjoyment of the game, because the storyline is unique.
(Super Mario World) Mario and Luigi are in Dinosaur Land, and there are many types of dinosaurs, like a green Yoshi. While resting on the beach, Princess Peach disappears (and she's probably kidnapped by Bowser). This story is a little different from the other stories of Super Mario Bros 1 and 3 + Lost Levels.
Depth: 10/10
Every game in this series has a lot to offer, like defeating the enemies and trying out different items to see how they work. It would take you quite awhile to complete the entire game, but it is totally worth it. The Lost Levels is a quite a challenge to beat, because the levels are harder than in Super Mario Bros.
Difficulty: 7/10
The games start out easy, but progressively become more difficult. I like when they aren't too hard or easy, but instead a mediocore difficulty. Personally, I think that this game and other Mario games are the same in difficulty; however, this is only my opinion. Everyone loses sometimes, and if it were too easy, it wouldn't be fun anymore.
Overall: 9.4/10
This Game was really fun to play, challenging sometimes, and definitely worth playing. I think that this game is the best of all classic Mario games, because this is 5 games in 1. It is really amazing that there is so much to do! I highly recommend that you try this game out.

4-in-1 + 1, that's 5 games in 1   IgorBird122
I like the All-Stars games of Super Mario, who would of thought, 4 of the best Mario games in one, and for this game, you got Super Mario World added in as well, that's just like icing on an extremely tasty cake.
----
The Graphics:
For the graphics of this game, it's pretty much an extremely great update from the NES versions on Super Mario Bros. 1, Lost Levels, 2, & 3. With the updated graphics, the game really gives a lot to the player, by adding a background in the level, it givesit really fits in the level that the player is playing. That's pretty much the thing you have when you go from an 8-bit game to a 16-bit game.
In Super Mario Bros. 1/Lost Levels, I have to say, the graphics on that game really changed form the classic NES version, The ? blocks are more smoother than the NES version, and you can easily tell the difference between the super mushroom, poison mushroom and the 1-up mushroom.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, Just like SMB1/Lost Levels, this one changed a lot, you can really see the background now unlike you can with the NES version,
In Super Mario Bros. 3, a lot has changed between the NES version and the SNES version, like I said with SMB1/Lost Levels and SMB 2, with the creators adding a background to the levels, it really stands out with the world you're playing in, and they really put a lot more shading onto the set and obstacles for the game than the NES version.
In Super Mario World, well, not a whole lot changed from the individual game, just only Luigi looks more like Luigi, instead of a "Green Mario".
----
The Addictiveness:
Yeah, I can surely say, I would like to play this game over and over again even if I complete all the games at 100%, I'll start a new File and just start playing each of the games again.
----
The Story:
The story of the 5 games is pretty much the same as the NES version (individual game for SMW on SNES), in SMB 1, Lost levels, 3, and World, it's the typical story of Mario rescuing the princess from Bowser, and in SMB 2, you go and defeat Wart to restore Subcon.
----
The Depth:
The Depth of this game is extremely high (why I gave it a 10) mostly because with the amount of games you can choose from and even each of the individual games all have a lot of depth into them, which I can certainly say that Super Mario All-starts plus Super Mario World has so much depth to it, I wish I could of given this game an 11 since this game has a lot to offer.
----
The Difficulty:
I have to say, for all 5 games, they haven't really changed from the NES version (individual game for SMW on SNES), all the games are challenging and that is what I like in a game, I like a game with challenge, but not too much and SM All-Star + SMW give that amount of challenge for the player to experience with.
----
Overall:
With everything in total for this game, I would give this game a 9.5 mostly because it is a very great game to play, not gust the gameplay like on the NES version of 1, Lost Levels, 2, & 3, but also the things I mentioned above with the Graphics, Sound/Music, Addictiveness, Story, Depth, and Difficulty, which made this game to be ranked very high, well, to my point of view.

Mario all stars +world compliation review.   SuperCrash64
Alright so first off If you had bought a super nintendo you would probably pick up mario world to go with it but then you start to remember all those great Nes Mario titles . And you wanna play Both you would just scream what should i do. Well number 1 is not pick up a crippled clone system what you should do is buy this compliation cartridge this is Mario all stars +world. What is mario all stars + plus world . Mario all stars at 1st was its own compilcated 16 bit updates to the original nes Mario 1 2  Mario 2 japan. and Mario bros 3 in all in 1 cart  The only difference is this game includes Super mario world.
All 5 games you can play on 1 system through a cartridge .
Graphics As fair if im gonna go Graphics im gonna need to look at all these games Seperatly  So i will put a little Title of the games graphics . Mario 1  This is a huge improvement over the Nes original . Mario  And luigi does not look so Green and pale. they actually look Italain lol. Every stage is a better remake of Mario 1 . meaning they will have resemblance. to the original nes title
Mario 2 us. Again A great rehash of the Nes title. The Shy guys and everything seems just right now. as were the nes original they looked pretty awkard. aka peach and toad. But yeah everything is much more vibrant for this game. and Some of the sprites dont look nearly as pixelated as they originally were
Mario 3. This 1 defeintly remade everything that was good about it. The Sprites Have a good cartoonist style as they orignally did. but their more colorful and vibrant. And stages look great for the game. graphics gets a 10 they took and fixed up a lot of stuff making the characters and backgrounds much nicer to look at
Super mario World i will talk about those graphics in a seperate review.
Soundtrack every sound track has been remade. With the snes Soundchip they still have the same compostion its just a little better with the snes soundchip. That goes with every sound. i ll rate this a 8
Addictiveness. All these mario games are addicting for their fun wacky jumping and great gameplay And the good quality soundtrack . Addictiveness gets a 10
Story Na  everything and game is just a rehash of their original nes forms so the storylines are most likey the same thing.
Depth. Alot to do. Mario games had alot of levels adventures and items to keep you busy. plus having all 5 of them would defeintly call for a longplay video. Depth gets a 10
Difficulty As fair as difficulty. they did not change the difficulty much it pretty much feels and works the same. Only real difference is the Button config. were on the nes it was A to jump and B to run. of course the Snes having more buttons . they change it were you now press y and b for the main actions. Difficulty gets a 5
Thats it for this review. i know it may seem pretty lasy . but i cant really say that much These are all seperate titles . i cant do a review of all these games in 1 shot. final ratings a 9.9

4-in-1 + 1   PD Man
Containing the first 4 Mario games,Super Mario All Stars is a hit. 4 classic Mario games in one cartridge with updated and revised graphics and designs. This game is known to be very rare.
There's Super Mario Brothers:
The classic that started it all, comes back to the SNES for its rightful place, with revised graphics and sounds. SMB is a fun, addicting game that started it all. Its simple, really. Mario saving Princess Toadstool from the evil Bowser. Like always. Mario's gotta save the day. Super Mario Brothers is smart, complex, and its an instant classic.
Super Mario Brothers 2: The Lost Levels
The Japan-Only "real" sequel to Super Mario brothers contains new features, levels, obstacles, and more. Experience Mario like never before with the new Poison Mushroom. Touch this and BAM! You get hurt. These things are bad but also watch for regular Mushrooms and 1-Ups,as you will be needing it on your new journey and epic quest.
Super Mario Brothers 2:
The next installment in the Mario series is fun, interesting and colorful. With new features like Bob-Bombs,etc,this game is the Black sheep of the bunch. Super Mario Brothers 2,known in Japan as Doki Doki Panic is a fun and adventurous game for all Mario fans to enjoy worldwide and is now back to the SNES.
Super Mario Brothers 3:
This game has amazed people everywhere around its release, stunning game play, graphics and features,SMB3 is fun, entertaining and will keep u on the game for hours. Going through a new Journey and epic quest,Mario has to use the Tanooki Suit, the Frog Suit,The Hammer Suit and more to survive this ongoing epic trial of obstacles in this awesome game.
Super Mario World:
This new game has Mario saving helpless friends called "Yoshi" from being invaded by the evil King Koopa we all know as Bowser. This game is fun,and classic with new features such as Cape Mario, and riding Yoshis. Mario has to overcome thousands of obstacles and hazards along his way in this epic classic we all know as Super Mario World.
The game's rare these days and would be special to any collector's out there. This game is complete with 4 instant classics in one cartridge. How cool is that?

a must play   RedHotReviewer
Never in my time of reviewing games have I ever given a score like this to any game. Luigis New Adventure and The Legend Of The Yos***al may be the only exceptions to this. This game is Super Mario World All-Stars + Super Mario World. Thats right, you got it right, this is the 5 games in 1 compilation and this even includes the lost levels. Sadly, this does not have the Super Mario Bros 3 lost levels. But anyways lets this ripper review underway. This may also be one of the longest reviews I have ever made on my time on here. I did have this at around 1300 words earlier when I first tried to review this but I forgot to put it into word and I lost it all and I can't really remember what I put in all the categories that made it to 1300 words.
The Graphics 10/10
If this didn't have the graphics after the all stars update (which was mainly designed to make the graphics better) I would of given the graphics 9/10. But this had the all stars graphic update or an overhaul of the graphics if you will. I mean, this is from 1991 the graphics overhaul or the graphics update. So imagine if they did another today, imagine what the graphics would look like now. If they did an update today I would probably rate it above 10 if I actually could do it.
Gameplay 10/10
The controls for this game actually depends on what game you play. I am not sure what the controls are for doku doku panic. Which is the one that was put out in the US. All the controls for the reviews I make are the controls that are chosen by default. I have not changed them in anyway because the controls for all the games the controls aren't so complex. (Like having to press certain keys at once with one hand which some may find hard to do.
Ok for all the games except doku doku panic and super mario world and super mario bros 3 the controls are: Z to speed up. X is to jump. The arrow keys to move and z is also the key to throw out fire balls.
For Super Mario Bros 3: The controls are: Z and x are the keys to jump. Z is the key to throw fireballs and is the key to fly. The arrow keys to move and to go faster you need to use the a key.
The controls for super mario world are sort of the same to super mario world except with a few differences.
Z is the normal jump (from all the super mario games) and X is the spin jump. (I use this the most often because it lets me jump off of things.) To use a cape you need to hold down a (is also the key to speed up if you don't have the cape.) and depending on whether to you want to fly using a spin jump or a normal jump depends on what you want to do.
Story 7/10
I am not sure about the story line for doku doku panic but for the rest of the games the story line is based around the fact that Bowser has kidnapped Princes Peach (or Princess Toadstool if you do your research about Princess Peach) and how you have to rescue her.
Sound 10/10
Now I could probably bore all you people if I went through the music of every level on every game if only my speakers could work. So I guess I have to do this by my memory. But the sound of each game and of each level is from their original game. If I did every single level from every single  game I'm sure I would get to at least 2000+ words and you would probably tl;dr it and post about it making a rant how the sound category was too long and the rest was way too short.
Addictiveness 10/10
5 games to choose from, super mario world has 120 total exits, some other games have secrets of their own and most importantly is the fact that this compilation of games are very fun so you won't be getting bored of this game any time soon at all. I can reassure you that you won't be getting bored of this so quickly. This is one of those games where you won't want to stop playing until you have beat every game and unlocked everything in it.
Depth 10/10
With 5 games and some can span from minutes to hours to complete you'll be sure to be playing this for ages. Also in super mario bros the lost levels there are 4 hidden worlds they respectively are called a, b, c and d. To unlock this you have to beat the game 8 times. These have 4 levels each and they are much harder than 8-4 which is the final level. I don't think I am good enough to be able to do D-4. But I can't beat 4-4 because the maze level sucks and its so confusing for me.
Difficulty 8/10
For some games like super mario bros and super mario bros 3 it doesn't really get all that hard until you are getting close to the end. For Super Mario Bros it gets hard at 8-1 for me. I usually just warp the game so I can't really say for sure where the game does get hard for me. For Super Mario Bros 3 it gets hard for me near the final level. I mean I could just speedrun the first few worlds and I have done this. Like world 1 100% in 5 mins world 2 100% in 6 mins. Man I seriously achieve some crazy times.
For the lost levels it gets hard for me from 4-4 onwards. But some levels earlier on I beat with not much time to spare because you start those with like 300 timer and it doesn't even give you 300 seconds. (It gives you about 2 and a half minutes or so.
For Super Mario World the part where it gets difficult for me is all over the place. Like it gets hard after the second level of the special world for me. It gets hard for me at like the last world if you don't do star road and that. The hardest part about Super Mario World for me is the fact of finding the secrets. But you can look them all up.
Overall 9.7/10
I strongly suggest that you play this game. Even if you have do what I suggested earlier, beat it 100% including all the secret levels (including -1 in Super Mario Bros 1) and including the 4 new worlds in super mario bros lost level which is obtained by beating the game 8 times. (Crazy requirement i know but I didn't make the game.) Even if you have other things to do or not I suggest that you find time to play this game.

Alot of the fat plumber for your buck.   RedHotToddy
When I hear the phrase "Compilation Game" I automatically think of a bunch of different games of the same series all put into one action packed package, I have played quite alot of them in the past few days, And you could say I knew what to expect when I heard of this one of Mario right here, Because today I am reviewing without a doubt one of THE best video games deal in a while! This is Super Mario Brothers All-Stars for the SNES! Will this be a worthy compilation, or will it be completely worthless useless and not worth any of your time at all? Let's find out shall we?
Story-N/A
Well this is a compilation game, so of course there is not going to be any kind of story to it, But oh well, you guys all know the drill! When there is no story to a game, It is all up to me to make up my very own one! And here it is! My custom story, It is Mario's birthday today, And He has opened up this huge museum filled with everything Mario to celebrate! Oh well, let's have tons of fun and just hang out and look at everything this place has to offer guys!
Gameplay-8/10
As the game title suggests, Super Mario bros all-stars is a collection filled with a bunch of the plumber's first few adventures since he was born. This game contains the following titles, Super Mario bros, Super Mario bros 2, Super Mario bros 3, Super Mario world, and the very rare Super Mario the lost levels which was only released in Japan! All of these games are back, remastered in all their HD glory. They all control run and play very smoothly as well, Now If I am correct, each game also uses a save feature, meaning that you can save your current game wherever you last left off. The controls in each game are pretty simple, I am not going to really explain them since they are all different from eachother, but oh well! Another thing about this collection is that since this is a 16-bit system, the games also sound pretty great as well!  One of my personal favorite parts about the game is that It even has the famous "Minus world" from the first super Mario bros! For those of you who do not know, the minus world is this underwater level in the first game where you just keep swimming to the end, then at the end, there is a huge pipe in the way and you are forever trapped, this freaked me out the very first time I saw it, and I am still scared today! Anyways, I guess that is pretty much it for the gameplay.
Graphics-9/10
As I have addressed before, the games in this collection are back, and they are looking as sharp as ever in glorious HD, You know, when you come to think of it, The whole concept of this game makes me think of all those HD remastered collections that they have released of all Sony PS2 games for PS3! (I:E Ratchet and clank HD, Jak and daxter HD,etc) But anyways, each game in this compilation is looking as sharp as a tack, everything is alive and bursting with color, which makes you feel like you are actually in Mario's big world. The best part is that in the remastered Super Mario bros one in this game, the ground actually looks pretty darn realistic! Which is a huge plus, Now while some games have lost SOME of their old classic look, It is no prob with me, Change is sometimes a good thing if you come to think of it! The HUD in each game is pretty self explanatory, But I will not really have to go over that.
Sound-8/10
As with every other Mario game of this era, the soundtrack is extremely catchy and upbeat that you instantly get sucked into the Mario world as you listen to it! Yes, as I have said, this is on the SNES, so the soundtrack in each game is remastered in beautiful 16-bit glory, and that is just downright amazing if you ask me! Each level in each game here has music that really suits the mood of each level here, the underwater stages have this slowish tight music that sounds like you are swimming in a pool, the overworld theme however is really the kicker here! This song right here is what really represents Mario! "Do do do,  dun dun dun dun!" Yeah, you know the lyrics! The Sound effects in each adventure are your typical fare, you get boings, squashes, booms, chings, and so on!
Addictiveness-8/10
These games were pretty darn addicting back then, and today, well they still are! The thing that makes mario so fun is not that it is a platformer game (Something those darn thirsty game developers can't even make one of these days!) But it is that the games have really aged well since their original appearance! Each game has more to offer here then they did when they first came out,  and they are cool today! Another thing is that save feature, that is right, each game in this collection has a save feature in which you can save your progress anytime you want which eventually leads you to being able to beat the whole game not in one sitting, but in a few days!
Depth-10/10
This is a game that really deserves 10 on depth, and here are tons of reasons why, Well to start off, this collection has over 5 games all packed into one! And that is pretty obvious, and each game is about 8 or so levels long, so each one will most likely take you at least 1-3 hours to beat. This is a collection game, so what to expect guys?
Difficulty-6/10
A majority of the games here were pretty hard to beat and win back in the day, and in this collection, it still holds up alot! I remember having tons of trouble on that one level in Mario bros one where you are on this tree and you must jump across these heavy platforms, boy did that make me scream! And some of those bosses in the later titles were pretty hard, but if you are a true expert gamer at Mario and such, then this game shouldn't give you much trouble!
Overall-9.5/10
If you need a big huge and healthy Mario fix right now, then this collection right here is totally the way to go! It has over 5 action packed games all bundled into one! So you can't go wrong! I gave this game a 9.5 because how much it offers for you to do! Anyways, this has been RedHotToddy and his 112th review, and well, see you guys later!

Mario all stars + World   themojogamer75
NOTE: This counts as 2-5 reviews so, don't expect me to write a review for All-Stars regular, World alone, or the 8-bit games.              We cannot deny that Mario games are awesome, and these games are NO exception! This game not only features Mario 1, Mario 2, Mario 2, and Mario 3 with updated graphics and what-not, but it also includes Mario World, THE best 2D Mario in my opinion! Mario 1 is classic, Mario 2 a.K.a Lost Levels is there for expert players of the original, Mario 2 a.k.a Doki Doki Mario is a nice change of game play, and Mario 3 is superb! Mario World is probably the main reason that people own this version, and not All-stars alone. Mario World is, as I said above, THE best 2D Mario because of it's awesome levels, music, and game play. Personally, I don't really like the Mario theme in 16-bit. I don't know why but hey that's just a nit-pick!     Mario 1- Mario 1 is simplistic, fun, and quote challenging at times. The game isn't too addicting as it is just straight forward, but eh.    Lost Levels- HARD!!! I'll leave it at that. Doki Doki Mario- A nice new game play mechanic. 4 characters to play as with different attributes. Mario is an average character, Luigi is the fastest and has a higher jump, Toad is the strongest, but slowest, guy on the team, and Peach has the ability to hover for a short time.     Mario 3-  Awesome game, but I can't help but say it's a tad overrated. Now I love Mario 3, but I just feel that it's a bit overrated.     Mario World- Awesome game play, music and levels! Yoshi's first appearance is a great one as you can take him to other levels after you completed 1 while on him. He can't, however, go into Castles and Ghost houses. And I believe that's it. It's probably not a good review but hey, it's my third one so, neyeh. Anyway, take car and God bless!

The Classic Mario..now on the SNES   dumlink23
The Super Mario Brother's are back and are now Packed into your Super Nintendo
this was pretty much what every nintendo fan bought when they got a SNES It's all your favorite NES games on
a Super Nintendo Remade and remastered.
The Graphic's are of course updated and redone, but for a Super Nintendo game it doesn't pop out as much
as other title's for the system. It's still Mario though it's nice and colorful, but they do reuse a lot of the Super Mario World sprite's.
The Sound in this game again recycle's a lot of the sound's from Mario World,as
well as remastered version's of the original theme's.
The game is not that addictive(not to me atleast),but it's Mario we all love Mario...right?....right....RIGHT?!
The story is the same as any typical Mario game, not that well done.Unless you go
by the original Super Mario Bros. manual witch had a story line i don't remember the details so here is the
abridged version,"One day everything was grand and dandy in the Mushroom Kingdom, but one day King Koopa(A.K.A Bowser)
and his Koopa army attack the Mushroom Kingdom turning all the toad's(the civilian's) into stone block's and kidnapping
Princess Toadstool(Princess Peach). So pretty much Mario and Luigi are here to save the day!.
The game is quite big..it has Super Mario Bros. Mario Bros. 2,Super Mario Bros. 3 and Lost Levels,
and if you have the re-release you also get Super Mario World,so yea pretty big game.
It's Mario. Not very hard but later on get's challenging(EXCEPT LOST LEVEL'S. THAT GAME IS HARD)
so yea normal challenge.
So yea, Super Mario All-Star's is probably any dream of a Mario fan,and they re-re-released it on the Wii.
So if you like Mario then get this game if you haven't already!(or of course play it on here)

All-Star + Mario World = Perfect   Treyevers
In this game, there are more Games! Including this is a bonus pack with super Mario world. It includes all of the old Mario games and super Mario world. HECK! It even includes Mario: the lost levels, which they Thought "Americans weren't good enough for this game, so it'll only be released in Japan" no offense to Japanese people, I love your writing, programming, and gaming skills! Super Mario Brothers, the original game, the game at which the last castle, bowser throws millions of hammers and fire in a single second, not fair but extremely repetitive. Super Mario 2, the concept was changed completely, I liked the Beet idea by the way, I like throwing them at enemies. Super Mario 3, This was and still is a favorite game of mine. Before I knew of this site I went to game stop to find it, I found the game boy advance version for $25....yep, I still bought it, I didn't delete the save files on it either  because the game boy advance version could use the E-Reader to add the Super Mario World Cape and The Beets from Super Mario 2, Best game. Super Mario world is fun, but I didn't like it so much, though my family members love it.

My Mario all stars + World   The Video GameG..
Hello, the video game guy 54321 here, this is my review for super Mario-all stars plus world. Lets start. Overall rating-I'd give this a 9 because in smb 1,2,&3 are only 8-bit, but in this SNES version, its 16-bit style greatness. Graphics- It's pretty much same animation in the NES SMB 1,2(Japan),2(USA),3. Story- It's just the same old story in the games for example: SMB 1: One Day King Bowser Koopa invades the mushroom kingdom By turning the toads into bricks, yeah, those bricks you break are toads, so if you break those bricks you would be considered a murderer. Now Back to what I was saying, princess peach (Toadstool) Knows the spell, Unfortunately, Bowser kidnaps her, fortunately for her, Mario and Luigi Go and rescue her. Depth- I rate it a 10 because you have 5 games to choose from and they take a while to beat. Difficulty- the games themselves are pretty difficult but if those games were combined, it would be rated an eight.

The World of All Stars   blackninja778
Sorry for the delay.I really wasn't going to do this review, but one of my family members gave a SNES and NES and it came with this game and some other games.Super Mario All Stars was a collection of Super Mario bros 1,2,3 and the lost levels. The lost levels was super Mario bros 2 in Japan and if want to know why,it's all over the Internet waiting to be checked out. This version came with Super Mario World which is the version of All Stars you got if you bought the system in December of 1994.The collection featured updated graphics, updated music using the SNES superior sound chip and some changes which I will get into later.
Graphics:They look great for the time and they still look good today. [10]
Sound:The music is very well done and make good use of the sound chip, but some of the music in the game kind of sound a bit off in my opinion. [9]
Addictiveness:C'mon it's Mario the level design keeps you coming and I play this game every day when I get chance. [10]
Story:Um the princess gets captured and Mario has to save her.Yeah great story guys.Well I have to give them credit for changing the story a bit in Super Mario bros 3,2, and world. [6]
Depth:You're getting 5 fully replayable games with updated graphics and sound on one awesome cartidge.Tell me if that's not enough. [10]
Difficulty:Mario has a medium diffculty. The controls are easy to learn and players will get better as they go on.The only reason I rated this higher is because the lost levels. [7]
Overall:This is a great game and I recommend to all you Mario fans or any gamer in general. The game is available on the SNES.The original is available for the Wii and some of games in this collection have been ported to the GBA. Final Score: 9.5

A great collection nes and snes classics   brandon146
This edition of super Mario all stars as the name implies includes Mario world on the snes. Super Mario bros 1,2 and 3 are included with remasterd 16-bit graphics. Plus the Japanese version of super Mario bros 2 is included. For the first in the states we can play the version of smb 2 that was "to hard" for us American gamers. So anways most of the games are really the same as there gba counterparts with slighty more depth in the sound quality and not as much feateres such as level select in super Mario bros 2. But one of the best features in this version is that you can SAVE unlike when there originally on the snes you can save your progess so intead of getin game over on the hell that is world 8 on smb 3 you can simply start back from where you started. Overall I really like this collection and it is well worth the 20 viz.

Super Mario All-Stars Review   geeogree
This is by far one of the best value games ever in the console era in my opinion. 4 games in 1!
I'm not really going to review each game in great detail. Just a general overview as to why I love this pack of games and why I like each game individually.
Super Mario 1 - I remember playing this game when my family first got a Nintendo. So much fun! My parents tried to play and failed miserably and I remember finding the secret pipes to later levels and dying SO MANY times trying to beat the game. Classic game worth playing again. Still really difficult in the later levels if you don't skip past too much of it. I barely remember worlds 5-7.
Super Mario 2 - weirdest of the bunch but still a great game. This one had more of the unique game play in it I think. Lots more level variety and 4 different playable characters helped this game a lot. It's not my favorite game by any means but I do remember putting in plenty of time beating this one too.
Super Mario 3 - possibly the best game on the NES. Getting to play this game again with the update to the graphics was awesome. Love the variety in power-ups and the level design was challenging. I've beaten this one the most often I think. Even played it through 100% one time just to see if I could beat every level.
Super Mario: Lost Levels - holy crap is this game a challenge!!!! I honestly don't know if I ever managed to beat it. I know I've played, and died, on a LOT of the levels. Only take this one on if you are a true fan of Mario and want to suffer for a long time :P Akin to the extra star levels in Super Mario World but almost tougher because it's based on the original Mario with basically no power ups available.
Like I said already, great package of games to play. Loved playing them all as a kid on the SNES. It would have been fun to see more games ported from NES to SNES in package form but I understand why only this game got that treatment. My ratings are meaningless since there are 4 games here to rate but I do highly recommend it. The graphics update does make a difference compared to the NES versions. Try it out and don't skip over the Lost Levels if you also like a big challenge.

BEST GAME EVER   Snorp02
Ok where to start...
I will just go down the check list.
Graphics:
The graphics in this game are all new expect in Mario world but  I will get to that in a second.
Mario 1/lost levels:
They 100% redid the graphics! Mario is now clear deep red and Luigi is no longer a plate swap of Mario and he's nice green!
Mario 2/Mario usa in Japan
They reworked the graphics but somehow to me they look kinda the same. Sure Mario friends have been recolored but at the same time it still looks kinda the same. I like that but I know not everyone would agree.
Mario 3:
Mario 3 has been recolored like all of them. Mario's graphics has not really been changed other than the recoloration (Is that a word??)
Luigi sprite has been change to make him no longer a plate swap of Mario and now deep green!!
Mario world:
Mario world has the smallest amount of changes. The big change to Mario world is the fact that Luigi is now Luigi not a plate swap of Mario.
Sound: All of the games except Mario world have new versions of their songs.
All the songs have been revamped with 16bit instruments. The original mario bros theme now has steel drums in it,
Mario bros 2 over-world song now is no longer one instruments I want to say it has piano in it but I just can't put my finger on it for sure.
Mario bros 2 over-world also now has some background instruments like chimes.
The super mario bros 3 over-world them now has steel drum like instruments. They have changed to make it sound like a lazy day song that just fits in really well.

Addictiveness: This games has TONS of replay value because it has so many Mario games!! The replay value of the other games are in this game.
Story: Each Mario game has a story. Although only one has a different story... Mario 2 is the only one that has a different story.
Depth: This game HAS TONS TO OFFER! Because there are so many Mario games in it you can play this for weeks!
Mario bros 3 has 8 world full of levels.
The original Mario bros has 32 full levels.
Mario bros 2 has 26 levels.
The lost levels has the 8 worlds and 2 special worlds.
Mario has many levels and tons of secret exits
Difficulty: Most of these games are easy but the lost level oh man the lost level... YOU CAN SINK HOURS INTO THIS GAME AND GET NOWHERE!!! Sorry just a little but of personal rage. The lost levels are by far the hardest thing in this game. The lost levels as most of you know was not released in the us, But not everyone would know is it wasn't released due to how hard it was. (Yes they where that condescending) But in all fairness it is really hard. This game adds a new mechanic that has never been used again: Wind. All wind does is push you around but combined with tricky level design wind sucks. Also more maze castle. (Is more needed??)
This game is great the only way to really experience how great this game is you need to play it!!!! Speed that vizzed to play it or buy it in really life!! If you love super Mario bros you need this game!
