Super Mario 74 Review by SuperViperT302   SuperViperT302
We all probably know what Super Mario 64 is. Did you know there were lots of hacks of this game? My personal favorite (though I haven't played much) is this game, Super Mario 74.
A hack created by Lugimord, this game is VERY awesome. The original had a total of 120 stars, and this game has one more than the DS version! There are now 46 secret stars, and still 15 main courses. Here are their names:
Course 1: Dice Fortress
Course 2: Skyward Slopes
Course 3: Azure Abyss
Course 4: System of a Town
Course 5: Haunted Factory
Course 6: Stagalmite(sic) Cave
Course 7: Ice Crystal Tower
Course 8: Overheating Oasis
Course 9: Flowery Gardens
Course 10: Swampy Spring
Course 11: Sunny Beach
Course 12: Cliff of Wrath
Course 13: Magma.... Forgot the name
Course 14: Luminum Sphere
Course 15: Ombru Sphere
Whew!
Anyway, difficulty-wise, all I have to say is this: Get your savestates ready!
There are A LOT of tricky stars, especially in the last two courses. There are some switches with very hard blocks, like Kaizo Mario 64. About every course has some precise wall jumping required, which often leads to death if you fail. And the worst part is that the camera... well, sucks. Someone REALLY needs to re-hire Lakitu!
Main courses are like the original game: Six main stars, and a 100 Coins star. However, some courses have hard 100 Coin Stars, as well as red coin stars. And Sunny Beach has EXACTLY 100 Coins. Good luck. :p
So do I recommend this? Yes, of course! =D It's just a little hard, and it may require LOTS and LOTS of save stating. There's even a secret way to reach outside the castle in Super Mario 64!
Enjoy this game!

Super Mario 64+10   Pacman+Mariofan
Hello, everybody! I am going to do a review of an awesome hack of Super Mario 64. This hack has a lot to do. It has 151 stars to get! That's a lot and it will certainly take a long time (unless you already beat this game or if you are a pro at games like this one).
Graphics: 7
The creator of this game did a super good job with graphics, even though it could have been a little better. For example, the paintings you see in the 1st overworld are re-made, even though they're just different colors and there isn't really any real art in the background. Also, lots of the graphics from Super Mario 64 are re-used in this game. Almost EVERY graphic in Course 2 is from the original game.
Sound: 8
A lot of brand-new music was created for this game. For example, the second you hit the start button, there's brand-new music playing for the file select screen. When someone playing this game hears brand-new music the second they push the start button, he/she is probably thinking, "Hey, this game is probably going to be better than I expected!" Another good example is that one of the original songs from Super Mario 64 was remixed and used for the first course in the game, Dice Fortress. Even if you don't recognize the music, you'll still like it. The creator did a fantastic job with sound.
Addictiveness: 8
Like I mentioned earlier, this game has 151 stars to get. That'll definitely take a long time to beat and it's really fun to play this game again and again.
Story: 6
The story is the same as almost every other Mario game: Princess Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser and Mario has to rescue her to save the kingdom.
Depth: 9
Again, this game has 151 stars to get. This hack has more to offer than any other hack of Super Mario 64 that I have ever seen.
Difficulty: 9
I have to rate this one pretty high because of the same reason as depth: there are 151 stars in this game. There are also a lot of intense challenges. For example, in Course 3, there is one star that requires pixel-perfect jumping skills to get to it. I had quite a lot of trouble with that one. Another example is that courses 14 and 15 require SERIOUS wall-jumping skills. I've seen videos of people playing those courses and let me tell you, it takes a long time to beat them.
Overall: 8.5
I really like this game because it is really challenging and has a lot to do. There are 31 more stars in this game than there are in Super Mario 64! It doesn't really matter if you're a Mario fan or not. If you like a challenge or you're just bored and want to try this game out, please do so. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a good challenge.

Just Like 64 but better   arcm2203
I love this game it's just like Super Mario 64 but better just that there's really not much of a story behind it what pretty much happens is that princess peach got kidnapped and you have to save her (like always) I think this one is better though because there are more stars and what the toads (with an "s") sometimes can be really funny worth wasting your time waiting for the loading bar to go up to 100. Just that the mayor problem for me is that when I double-click the screen the menu doesn't pop up so I can't change my controls I don't know about you guys but my controls are pretty messed up that's the only con in this game. (Warning: this game can get frustrating if you don't know how to wall-jump.)

sm 74 rewiew   dragon2
according to you, i think mario loves peach and she loves him. some day, they married? an answer, please. and say what you think.
end of rewiew.have fun! LOL

Super Mario 74 Game Description

Mario 74 is the 2nd full hack of Super Mario 64. This very technical hack (understand very hard) will launch you in the dangerous collection of 150 stars.

It is strongly recommended to stay in camera mode “Mario” (Button R then C down) to play optimally.

Hey, in Dice Fortress, head over to the block stuck in the wall, then jump in between the block and the green wall. Then punch the wall and go behind the green slope. Then jump. See what happens!
