Run faster! Faster!Even though I got this game only three days ago, I can already tell this game will bring me countless hours of entertainment and be well worth the dollar I paid for it. And I've enjoyed so much already, I'm already writing a review (Don't worry, there is not much to this game and can all be seen in ten minutes of play, so there won't be anything I miss).
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are all quite simple, consisting of all cubes, rectangular prisms, pyrimands, a grid, and a cool background. Nothing fancy, bit they all look very nice and feel right for the game, and still look awesome in 2D and 3D (but, if yhour in hyper mode. which I'll explain later, and using 3D, I do not reccomend turning the depth up fully as it a strain to look at (and for all I know, it may be bad for your eyes!)). A nice touch too is all the visual effects during hyper mode and in hazard zones. For example, the tunnel just seems to stretch will in hyper mode, and in the gravity well hazard zone it decreases fog distance and keeps distorting your vision (for a good image, image your vision while drunk). It looks all very well, the only thing I have to complain about, the HUD. It could have been layed out a little better, as the item you currently have (if any) is important, and when your going at 200-300 meters a second (or so the game claims), you don't have time to look away the game screen and look at the touch screen and see what item you have (oh, and shields!). those could of been placed on the top screen. All in all, 8/10.
Audio: 8/10
The audio is basic, 5 infinitly looping songs that you can switch between at any point (yes, they get very repetitive, but you can turn music down in options), and a few sound effects (shield/power-up collected, hyper mode, taken damage, death). The 5 are very enjoyable, and fit very well, but unfortunatly are a bit repetitive. And the sound effects can be easily heard over the music, and are useful in the cause of when you collect a shield/power-up. Not all so much to say here, 8/10.
Additiveness: 9/10
This game can be pretty additive, especially if your the kind who will play all day trying to beat their personal best. With progressing diffuculty, starting at 10 m/s and getting faster, few obstacals to lots, and hazard zones just making things harder, the difficulty can make it that much fun to beat your highscore, so I'd say this is very additive, 9/10.
Gameplay: 9/10
This is probably the most important one. The gameplay is simple, you are running, and you can't stop, increasingly getting faster, you have to avoid blocks and pyrimands to stay alive. There are shields, so hitting one block won't be the end of the world, but you only get 4 max, and they slowly fade away. You get items, but I've found them mostly useless. There are hazard zones, where special effects or new obstacles may be places to make this harder for that length. The gameplay is very solid, 9/10.
Story: N/A
The only story I can tell is that you can't stop (or running from something), and you keep getting faster. 'Bout it.
Overall: 8.5/10
It's only 2 dollars on the eshop, and I highly recommend it (1 dollar 'til 9/25/14 as part of the Super Smash Sale). I'll sayc for me it was highly worth a buck, so what you waitin' for? Christmas (actually that makes some sense :P)? Go get it!
