Space Harrier review for the Sega 32X G@mehe@d
This game is a faithful port to the arcade game Space Harrier. Not only do you get fast action, but the graphics and frame rate are smooth and do not change. I loved this game the moment I played it. It makes Space Harrier 2 for the Genesis and the Master System version look weak and bad. Its a shame that the 32X was such a miserable failure, because not to many fans got to experience the awesomeness of this game. Even though this game is great it does have over the top difficulty even on easy mode with 5 lives the game is still hard. I recommend you play this, especially if you enjoy fast action and shooters. STORY B: Harrier is a guy that can fly and he has a gigantic gun, he is a hero and he got sent a distress call from a place called Fantasy Land, to save it from the evil monsters that are attacking. There is no main enemy but there is several big enemy's that might control the smaller ones :P. I don't know but anyway your goal is of course to save Fantasy Land and destroy the evil creatures. GAMEPLAY A: The gameplay is exciting and fast. In fact so fast that at points you won't know what your doing. That's okay because it is satisfying to destroy the enemies with the enormous explosions that happen when you defeat an enemy. GRAPHICS A+: I will admit that the game does not fully harness the 32Xes 3D polygon capabilities. Why would it need to, it completely resembles the arcade version. I guess good things come to those who wait because gamers waited nearly a decade to play this arcade classic on their game systems. There was a Master System version but it looked awful, and even worse it did not resemble the arcade version. I will praise the super smooth frame rate of this game, most of the time the game runs at a very fast rate and still the frame rate is still smooth. SOUND A-: The music sounds pretty good and the voice samples are pretty clear. I don't much to say for this section.ADDICTIVENESS A: This game is pretty addicting and you will be on it for a while. With the extra difficulty settings, you will like to try them all out and since this was an arcade game. Its going to have high scores. So it's also great for high score contests.DEPTH B: The game has 18 levels. Which is not bad but there could have been like a few extra modes or something. The levels and boss stages are unique and look really cool.DIFFICULTY HARD: Looking for a really hard game? Well try out this game because it is a huge challenge that any pro gamer would enjoy. It might scare off the people who are just starting to be a gamer, but even so. This game will attract any body looking for a challenge.OVERALL RATING: A- or 9.0PLUSES+ great graphics + timeless gameplay+ clear voice samplesMINUSES- Extremely hard

Space Harrier becerra95
Ok.... This is my next review of my list. Space Harrier, for the Sega 32x. This game I was a fan of since a child and still own a copy of it (Too bad I dont own the Sega 32x) Well, time for the review
About and Story: This game was originally for the arcade and was one of the earliest ones during the time (1985). It's about a place called Fantasy Zone and you are a in a quest to defeat enemies and bosses. The enemies consist from pre-historic creatures to rock faces, robots and aliens. There are 18 levels that force you to go forward throughout the game non-stop (lucky there is a pause option). In the 18 levels, there are 2 bonus levels in the game (level 5 and level 12)
Graphics:The graphics seemed ok but I thought it needed a better improvement.
Sound: The music is great. The sound effects were also great but sometimes gives off a static tone from time.
Difficulty: The game seems hard at first but once you learn how the controls work, it's a fairly easy game. There is also an option for the difficulty if you want to either make it easier or harder for yourself. As you go farther in the game, the level gets faster and enemies become quicker and their shots become quicker and larger by amount (not size)
Game Modes: Just the arcade itself, nothing else
My opinions: Well, the game is good if you want to play a fast pace shooter game. The graphics seemed a bit weak compared to other 32x games. Other than that, it's a great game to play and quite addictive. I recommend the game to anyone who either loves to play classic gaming or 3rd person shooter games.

In Space? Or on a planet in Space? killercroc0309
killercroc0309 review-
U know, I never really got to know the sega systems very well while I was a child playing my favorite current-gen consoles. They never really appealed to me not because of the interface, the controller, or the features the sega consoles had, but becasue of the lack of blockbuster games they had. Sure, hate on me how much u want but let's be honest, Sega has sadly died away now into the deep botomless pit of crappy games. But then again also Sega did have that one character, you know who I am talking about, Sonic the Hedgehog! That was the peak point of their industry. It made sega's life so much more easier because now they had a mascot that everybody loves like mario for example, and could sell as much games as they want until some other popular character came along and stole all their sales. Sadly, that's what happened. In the later years of the new nintendo console the n64, and the birth of the sony consoles playstation, sega couldn't keep up with the tempo, and started slowly falling on the console industry until they finally hit rock bottom with the dreamcast, and vanished to making shaby sonic remake games that we both now don't sell enough. So why am I telling u this, I really don't know, so lets get to the review.
Space Game or whatever the title is:
Graphics: Sure they are good for a sega game
Sound: Nothing special, kind of raw and unoriginal? Still it's 16-bit so what can u expect!
Addictiveness: First playthough, ur gonna go through it again after u die, second time you die, not so sure you'll want to pick up your contoller again
Story: I honestly dont even know what the f*** is the story of the game, fighting alien things on a planet? Even if its to save the planet from aliens seriously, that's a s*** plot line, but i have to admit its more the game ur playing than the story.
Depth: Straightforward arcade game, no side quests or hidden treasures but still straight forward
Difficulty: Ya, all I can say is u won't be beating this game any time soon...
Overall: It's a fun game, but like most sega games, there are a lot of downsides, and we all know that sega has really bad downsides with their games... Still I'm not going to be a hatter cause it's a fun arcade game and considering it's sega, i'm surprised how well they can actually make a game.
