 I wish people would read the previous comments. The reason he moves like that is because this game was originally built to use a trackball. Most games that were built to use these types of controls do not emulate well generally with regards to the controls

 That's actually just part of the game. Arcade games used to be ridiculously challenging, because they tempt people to spend more money so they can make more money. So they can't fix it unless they made a hack

 The controls were originally designed for a trackball. That's why the controls are so weird here. Very hard to emulate since they are "isometric" if you are good at games like marblemadness or Qbert you will do well in this game. Otherwise.....lol

 When I open the game it brings me to the "WARNING : This game is only to be used in Japan" screen than it just freezes and crashes.

 How can I reset the controls for this game (except for jump/attack) back to the way they were originally when this game used to work for me? Before, I have beat the game with all 3 characters at #1 high score.

 and jumps, but I don't understand crap about these controls. They seem weird and distorted. My character just weirdly shuffles and falls into pits till he finds the correct tunnel.

 or Mighty. If you press 2, you add a second player. And ctrl selects. And then beyond that, I don't understand bananas about the controls. Your character just weirdly shuffles through the screen, and the 2nd player does nothing. It looks like ctrl attacks

 @Awesome5000 Wow, thanks. Now I can see that you insert a coin by pressing 5, you can insert up till nine coins, and then start by pressing 1. And then you're at the character selecting screen. Sometimes the characters rotate, allowing you to play as Ray

 Help, this game keeps closing when I start it on MAME. The problem seems to be an incomplete download / required files are missing. Could somebody fix this? I am using Vizzed RGR plugin version 2.25 (In the past, this game has worked for me before.)

 I had the most problems with this game. Controls...sensitivity...controllers...I bunch. Now that I got past all of that I actually enjoyed the fun, addictive, challenging game. I really like this game and I will come back to it! Stay on your toes!

 The reason a lot of you have trouble with the controls is because the original arcade cabinet used the trackball controller. A gamepad is the closest thing you could get to using it on this game. Good luck getting past Eggman's tower!

 That use in japan only this is probably a scare tactic. It's probably a poorly worded warning against exported, bootlegged arcade board, besides, since when has importing ever been illegal?
