Pokémon Ultra Violet is Pokémon Fire Red hack it changes some things in the story added the ability to get all three dogs catch your own starter catch mew before your second gym battle and get all Gen 1 2 and 3 Pokémon.
Overall:8/10 Ultra Violet is very similar to Fire Red but with addition's I stated above it has the same graphics but new things same songs nothin really new there but with the ability to choose between 10 starter Pokémon it makes me want to play it over and over again the story is pretty much the same but with some minor tweaks it is more deep than regular Fire Red thou and its about as difficult as any Pokémon game.
Graphics:6/10 the graphics are the same in every town but there is a new hidden room and all the Gen 3 Pokémon sprites without that stuff I would have gvin the graphics a 4
Sound: 4/10 the sound didn't change at all and I am not rely a fan of the Pokémon music so yea that explains that
Addictiveness: 10/10 the addictiveness inst exactly because of the game its because of the 10 starter Pokémon its fun starting out with a dragonair or a gastly instead of charmander or squirtle and that makes me want to play it again and again.
Depth: 8/10 this game is way more in depth than FR because in this game you can catch all 3 legendary dogs all Gen 3 Pokémon Lugia, HoHo, Deoxsys, and Mew.
Difficulty: this game is just as hard as any Pokémon game so too me that's not hard but I know some people who think they're hard so I guess the difficulty depends on how good you are at Pokémon

Pokémon Ultra Violet is a hack of FireRed that actually is worthwhile  to play. It is fun, not that hard, and you can catch all Pokémon from Gen1 to Gen3. Now let us go through the ratings
Graphics:The Graphics didn't really change much. But as far as I can see, there are no bugs or glitches in the game either good or bad. I rate graphics a 10.
Sound:All the new music in the game fits with the normal music. All the Pokémon in the game make the appropriate cry. I give the sound a 10
Addictiveness: Very fun, I would play this over and over again. I rate it a 9. The reason I didn't rate it a 10 is because it gets boring after a while.
Story:Well, they didn't change the story much. I gave it a 4
Depth:It has a LOAD of depth. After you beat the Elite 4, you need to do something else to unlock most of the legendary Pokémon.(Not telling in case of spoilers) Then you have to complete the Pokédex. I rate depth a 11. Just joking it is a 10.
Difficulty:It depends on your skill at Pokémon. I don't think the normal trainers or wild Pokémon are hard. I think important people such as gym leaders, Blue, Elite Four, Or legendary Pokémon might need a little grinding. Difficulty is a 5
Overall: 9.5 Thanks for reading this review and START PLAYING NOW

Pokemon Ultra Violet!! An awesome adventure with all 386 Pokemon awaits!!   T-ram-plays-stu..
This game is just amazing. You are able to catch all 386 Pokémon, able to CATCH YOUR STARTER, see Mew in the game without an event, and so much more that I just want to play it on my VBA emulator OVER AND OVER AGAIN! Here's why, as I take you into my next game review, aptly named(in the style the Japanese name the episodes of their TV shows):
Pokémon Ultra Violet!!
An awesome adventure with all 386 Pokémon awaits!!
Section 1: GRAPHICS
Just like any hack that edit sprites, the new artwork is...um...I haven't seen them, but, I will give a rating to the graphics of what you patch that godly file on: Fire Red! Fire red's graphics are rip-worthy. They are in such an amazingly high resolution that, if you rip sprites for a hobby, they are so worth it! The Pokémon's sprites for the battles are also neatly made. For example, Pidgey. Pidgey is so similar to it's original sprite that it almost looks identical. Same with Rattata.
RATING: 10 out of 10. FLAWLESS!
Section 2: SOUND
If there is anything WORSE-SOUNDING in both the original game and this hack, it's some(if not all) of the sounds. The music is pretty good, but the some of the sound effects could figuratively make my ears bleed. Some sounds are kind of cool and soft, but I swear, others(like Uproar's sound effect) are ear-achingly bad! I won't(and wouldn't because I changed) put up one of the sounds. If I think they're a horror, then I wouldn't share the pain with you.
RATING: 7 out of 10. Good!
Section 3: ADDICTIVENESS
Before I start, there are two paths you can take:
If you've played a Pokémon game in your life, skip this section, because you will already know my rating. If you haven't, don't skip so that you know why everyone is in love with the Pokémon series.
If you don't know, Pokémon is an extremely addictive gaming series, because you are compelled to find out what happens next, and you feel...attached to your Pokémon. It is such a popular series because everyone is addicted to doing activities with their Pokémon, or defending themselves from wild Pokémon by battling with their own. This hack is like the other hack and their original games: the pure essence of addictiveness.
RATING: 10 out of 10. NO BIG SURPRISE.
Section 4: STORY
Pokémon isn't known for their story(until Gen 5 happened), but let's focus on it. Pokémon Ultra Violet has pretty much the same story, but I won't spoil it for anyone getting into Pokémon. It's just the good old story we knew from the original!
RATING: 9 out of 10. Classic!
Section 5: DEPTH
Pokémon Ultra Violet expanded the depth of Fire Red a little. I can't go into it fully, but there are a lot more to explore, so yeah...check it out.
RATING: 10 out of 10. ...yay?
Section 6: DIFFICULTY
Pokémon Ultra Violet didn't change the difficulty in any way. It's still as difficult as when it wasn't patched on. This section isn't really all that long, but I have no idea what to say.
RATING: 5 out of 10. Medium.
OVERALL:
Overall, this is by far the greatest Fire Red hack ever. With the ability to catch your starter, as well as 001 through 386, this is a definite hack to try out!

Was it worth playing? Yes!   iiGrinchii
First off, I would like to mention that I don't do reviews unless I really enjoy the game. So let's get down to basics.
Pokemon Ultra Violet, is a Pokemon game based on Pokemon Fire Red. However, the creator added much more than what the original game offered. Which includes; The opportunity to "Own" All Pokemon (Including trading types). A new feature which will allow you to catch your very own starter than using the three given to you from Oak, New maps, New text, etc. You can find the rest in the games description. In case you are wondering why I put quotes around "Own", the reason is that you will be able to catch all Pokemon, however you will also have to evolve some Pokemon to completely own, and fill the Pokedex. That being said, the creator put a LOT of work into this game, it's worth playing. Now let's stay the review.
Graphics: The game's graphics are the same as the original Pokemon fire red, however the reason why I gave this particular game a rating of 9, is simply because in most, or few, Pokemon hacks there is usually or occasionally a graphical error that is mistakenly added or not removed. I'm no hating on creators for missing these errors, but sometimes it happens, and it's just a mistake. But in this game, the creator didn't make a mistake, maybe at first he/she did, but the creator correctly, and fixed the errors, which shows to me that the creator really put a lot of effort into this hack. So overall the graphics are a 9.
Sound: This will be short, sound is the same as most hacks/ original Pokemon games, if not all. Why? Well first off, when playing these games on an emulator, most cases you fast forward it and the sound completely sounds like an Alien is trying to communicate with you through your own speakers. Anyways I enjoy the Pokemon music when I'm not playing through an emulator and I can actually understand it, lol. So I'm going to just give it an 8.
Addictiveness: Pokemon Ultra Violet was beyond addicting. I honestly cut myself off from going outside for two full days until I felt as I completed the game, and even still right at this moment, I want to play. The game has so many new features to it, that the original didn't offer, or even other hacks didn't offer. And the fact that I could catch my own Pokemon? That made it so much better, I love the original starters, but man, do I love trying new things! Oh, and trying to catch a lot of the shiny Pokemon? That was fun! Overall, I must admit this game is an addiction, and the withdraw may be awful, I'm going to give it a sexy 10. Yes a sexy 10, is better than a regular 10.
Story: The story of this game was pretty much the same as the original game. There was a few new added things, new text, new maps, and new events, but other than the few little added things, it was the same. You're a 10 year old boy who never ages, has a rival who constantly wants to smell you, and your mission is to explore the world catching Pokemon, talking to strangers, and wanting to defeat the E4 to become a Pokemon Master. Other than the few new things added it's the same. So I'm going to give it a 8 overall.
Depth: The creator really went into depth with this hack. The hack gives you so many new features, maps, and countless things of which I already mentioned like 20 times, and I don't want to make you bored, but the creator really went into depth with this one. I absolutely loved it. Giving trade type Pokemon realistic leveling system was also one of my favorites. I've put in over 30+ hours and still haven't 100% completed it. Added new events as well, like with mew, celebi, jirachi, a fancy puzzle for deoxy, and even the dogs. I don't want to spoil the fun for you all, so I highly recommend you find these events on your own. The depth for where Pokemon can be found from the other gens was amazing, even where the other starters are located. The creator really put work into this to allow this hack to make sense than other hacks allowed. It gave a new meaning to hacks, and allowed me to want to play others now because I'm addicted!. Overall 10!!
Difficulty: The difficulty of any Pokemon game is easy, when you play a Pokemon hack, you expect it to be slightly more difficult. In any Pokemon game, I would usually rate the difficulty as a 4. But in this hack, how the creator allowed you to catch every Pokemon, it would seem easy, just go out and catch and boom you win, but not so fast... In this hack, you have to evolve certain Pokemon, if not a lot of Pokemon to completely own em' all. Making the difficulty slightly higher than other Pokemon games, which would leave it to be a 6. However, I'm not done typing! The creator also implemented new events for legendary Pokemon, including the dogs from gen 2. Making the difficulty a bit more tougher. Why? Remember chasing around those dogs from gen 2? Getting highly annoyed. Well it's back. The first two dogs are easily found, you just walk up and there is your battle like the birds. But the last dog, is running around Kanto, and like the creator says, "Happy Hunting!". So overall with difficulty, I would rate Pokemon Ultra Violet a 7.
That is my review everyone, I hope you all enjoy playing this game, and good luck. Have fun! And remember to thank the creator for all the hard work he put into this hack, because this game was defiantly worth playing. Oh and I also hope you enjoyed my humor. LOL. Take care, thank you for reading.

Pokemon Ultra Violet   marcus047
Game background- Well Pokémon Ultra Violet is a Hack of Pokémon Firered, it truly does stand out from all other Pokémon hacks on Vizzed. Not only did the creator of the hack , hack the Pokémon locations and where they appear, he/she also made all Pokémon from the Kanto, Jhoto, and Hoenn region's catch able. The creator added on to the map(add new area's and special events), he/she did it in a way that has never been more appealing nor seen before. With the Pokémon, you will find there is multiple shiny Pokémon on every route you visit/go through and don't worry they are for the most part common to come across so if you kill a shiny you can always go back and there will be one another one either of that same Pokémon or of a different one.
Graphics- The graphics are based off of Pokémon Firered which were the best graphics for any Pokémon game that came out for the Gameboy Advanced system. There are no game freezes or colorization issues such as discoloration in building's, Pokémon animation's, or battle scene's, and the game doesn't lag either. And the shiny Pokémon you find in this are the actually official shiny Pokémon colors that you would see in an official Pokémon game. So for graphics I game Pokémon Ultra Violet   a 10 out of 10.
Sound-The game's sound track is the same as Pokémon Firered's with no changes in tempo, or beat so I guess if you enjoy the sound for Pokémon Firered, you will enjoy the sound for this. The sound acoustics and pitch quality are what's to be expected of Pokémon Firered, it has no lags, no random stops(freezes)midway in the songs. Also none of the Pokémon battle cries have been altered and they all seem to make the correct cry appropriate for the Pokémon they are. So for Pokémon Ultra Violet's sound I gave the game a 10 out of 10.
Addictiveness-I actually enjoyed for the most part every minute I spend playing this game. I enjoyed mostly every minute of it because unlike other hacks we're all the starters are basically handed to you at the beginning(can be found immediately right  from the start) this game isn't like that, the starters have all been spread out across the region in my opinion well thought out places considering their types.Another factor that made this game addicting was the fact that it had special events like the catching Mew event as well as the catching Jurichi  event, and also allowed players to go to basically to the Johto and Hoenn region's to catch the legendary Pokémon that appear in those regions as well as well as the one's that appear in Kanto like Mew and Mewtwo for instance. You can catch all legendary Pokémon from generations 1-3 and basically play through there story/plot lines as well so as far as addictiveness goes me personally I was hooked and I give this games replay value a 10 even tho it is a longer hack then most. So for Pokémon Ultra Violet's   addictiveness I gave the hack a 9 out of 10.The reason this category wasn't a 10 out of 10 is because like most Pokémon game it does get a little boring after a certain amount of time playing it daily.
Story-The story is basically the same as Pokémon Firered with just a few extra features like extra landscape(extra area's such as cave's and islands)added into the game where legend's can be found and also some with Pokémon from generations 2 and 3. Nothing really new dialog wise the characters(expect for nurse Joy at the PC) say the same things they would normally say. The market item's have been altered tho, you can buy certain item's you normally couldn't. Overall the story goes the same as any other Pokémon game, your a young boy/girl who has just stared your journey and obtained your first Pokémon today and has been asked to set off on a grad adventure to fully fill your pokedex for the kind professor who gave you your first Pokémon, but  an evil crime syndicate has been scheming in the shadow's preying on the weak to steal and abuse their Pokémon for complete and total world conquering purposes and it's up to you a rising young and strong trainer to take them down. So for Pokémon Ultra Violet's I gave it's story a 9 out of 10. The story didn't get a 10 out of 10 because to me there was really wasn't many unique changes that hasn't been done or seen before in other hacks.
Depth- The hack is rather large and takes a considerable amount of time to fully beat, by that I mean filling the national pokedex, beating all gyms and the elite 4 and also hunting down and catching all the legend's in this hack . I estimate a play time to beat it a total of 2-3 weeks if you play on a average of 1-2 hours every other day but about 4-7 days if you play consecutively every day for 2-3 hours. With all it's bonus event's and extra area's  to explore with diverse Pokémon in them you will be entertained and amused. So for Pokémon Ultra Violet's depth I gave it a 10 out of 10.
Difficulty-(Sigh) the more disappointing part of the review, it still has a pretty much brainless battle A.I. That makes constant battle mistakes and is still easy to defeat without much effort. The difficulty wasn't changed much as far as gym leader levels go as well as your rival's and the elite 4's and also wild Pokémon levels. So for Pokémon Ultra Violet 's difficulty I gave it a 6 out of 10. This category didn't get a 10 out of 10 because the game's difficulty is about the average of what you could expect of a Pokémon game.

Overall- Overall I gave Pokémon Ultra Violet a 9.8 out of 10 for it's creativity in the newly added event's, and overall freshness the game it makes you feel while actually playing, at no point throughout the hack, was I thinking "I've played this before some where" or " this is just like every other hack" so over all this hack is unique and has a promising spot as one of the best Pokémon hacks on Vizzed.

Fire Red and more content!   daman269
This game is awesome, I'll convince you to play through this review(maybe).
Graphics: 9
It has normal Fire Red graphics which I love, always have, always will. They stand up against other games on the system well.
Sound: 9
It's regular Pokemon music, other games can't compare most of the time. It almost made it to 10 but not quite.
Addictiveness: 10
This is more addicting than Fire Red by far. I played all day on it and still wanted to play more. It was hard to move on once I completed it.
Story: 4
I like the Fire Red story slightly more than the older titles, even Red and Blue because it has extra team rocket.
Depth: 10
This has a lot of content, by a lot I mean a lot. It has up to all of the 1st 2nd and 3rd Generation Pokemon. Buried Alive, the Creepypasta(don't read it if you're a child). It also has an extra island. Plus 5 Master Balls. 5!!!!!
Difficulty: 7
It is quite hard, Fire Red is hard, the added content is also hard but it's mostly the Fire Red pushing it up to a 7.
So there you have it, my amazing(is it) review on Ultra Violet, great game for Fire Red with added content. I give it a 9.7/10.

Pokemon Ultra Violet Review   TheSpelunkyGuy
Overall: 9.9
Overall, the Pokémon Ultra Violet Hack is a lot like Pokémon Fire Red.  The only difference is that all Pokémon are obtainable in the game, and you can catch your first Pokémon.
Graphics: 9
The graphics are similar to Pokémon fire red and other GBA games so I rated this a 9.  I would've liked to see some new graphics but I'm happy with how it is.
Sound: 10
This is just my personal opinion but I LOVE the old beeping music and sound.  Although not much was changed in sound, I'm glad as I don't like the newer sound effects.
Addictiveness: 9
With all Pokémon being catch able, the addictiveness scales as you just want to catch 'em all.
Story: 5
Again, the story is almost EXACTLY the same as fire red, so I rated 5 as the story wasn't original.
Depth: 9
Depth. I rated this one 9 because now you can actually take time and catch all the Pokémon!  That alone adds a lot of depth to this.  There are some new areas to explore, but not too many, but still, this adds more to the game's environment.
Difficulty: 7
The Difficulty on this one was what you expect out of a Pokémon game.  Almost everything is determined by luck, enemies make stupid mistakes, and you get stronger way faster then the opponents do.

Not what I expected.   SQman
When I started playing this game, I thought it was one of many terrible hacks on this site. I was genuinely surprised with what I saw. This isn't really a hack but a fix that makes this game even more enjoyable for a solo player: national dex from the start (I think), no trade evolution, no US and Japan exclusive events (actually no events at all; It's emulated after all).
I don't really know how to rate it 'cause I'm not rating FireRed here and there aren't that many changes: graphics, sound and plot are the same and only few new maps are added... wait a second! New maps? It calls for:
Graphics: 7
The new maps look great but sorta empty (especially Mew's island in Bill's machine). Can't say much more about them.
Addictiveness: 8
I rated addictiveness from nuzlocker's point of view. FireRed is easily nuzlockable but suffers from version exclusivity and trade evolutionness (Yeah, these are real diseases, I'm a specialist). Ultra Violet doesn't have this problem. It certainly is more pleasant to nuzlocke than the original.
Story: 4The only thing the creator of this hack messed up. Sevii islands got replaced with some meaningless island that is there only so you can catch non-Kanto pokemon. There was part of the plot on Sevii islands for crying out loud! The areas on the island aren't even properly labeled! There is no pokemon center! It has no purpose at that point of the game! And to get there you have to talk to some random girl! Why not use the Sevii islands boat script if there are no Sevii islands in this game! It makes no sense!
So yeah, if you ignore that nameless island, this game deserves a solid 8,5. Nuzlocking it was fun unlike some other hacks I played (inb4 you can stop if you don't like a game. My honor wouldn't let me do it, OK?).
It's well done, it's fun, it's nuzlockable, it's 8,5/10.

Pokemon Ultra Violet Box Description

Pokemon - Ultra Violet Version is a hack of Pokemon - FireRed Version. In this hack the player is able to catch all 386 Pokemon from the first 3 generations without trading. To do this, you are able to get both fossils from the pokenerd in Mt. Moon and both Fighting Pokemon from the Karate Master in Saffron. You are also able to evolve all the Pokemon that required you to trade them (Haunter, Kadabra and many more) without trading, some require you to level up while others require stones.
Every Legendary Pokemon is standing somewhere in the game. simply talk to it to instigate a battle and catch it. Every starting Pokemon (from all 3 generations) is in the tall grass (or water) somewhere in the game.
All generation 3 Pokemon (252-385) are living on a new island that is accessible by talking to the girl in the southernmost house in Vermilion City.
