Chuggamario Reviews: Pokemon: LoG   Chuggamario
*NOTICE* PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: I will review this game based on how it differs from the original Pokémon games. I will NOT compare it to other hacks and/or video games of the same genre. It will be completely based off of Pokémon Ruby. Which the hack is made from. No spoilers :3 I'd get in trouble if I put spoilers in here wouldn't I? If you want spoilers Google is your friend. So is Youtube.
Graphics:
I've said this before and I'll stick with it. I've always had the retro gamer love for these graphics. The sprites used in this game we're better then the sprites used for Pokémon Ruby and I will have to say I fell in love with some of the rare Fakemons in the game. DJG and his/her team did an excellent job with the Sprites in this game (except for that one bunny Pokémon.) The Legendary Pokémon we're extremely well done, though I've only seen a few since I'm in the after story. The mapping is also well done and I loved the new region you get thrown into.
Graphics get a 7 from me.
Sound:
The sound and music in this game? Way better then the original. I loved the sound and music in this game a lot. I recognized some of the music from Super Smash Brothers which is one of my favored fighting games. I suck at a lot of others. Trust me, this music is one of the best part's of this game, eerie when it needed to be, happy when it needed to be. The sound was amazing though I haven't explored everywhere to experience all of the sound track (There is a lot to this game, I'll cover that in depth though ;p.) I hope the sound track stays as good as it has been though, and I do hope I encounter the Lavender Town music. It gave me the chills, nearly gave me nightmares thinking of why it was so eerie when I was younger. But maybe that's just me. Sad thing is the annoying beep when your Pokémon's health is low is still there. It's not bad but I don't really need the constant beep when I know my Pokémon are about to faint.
Sound gets a 8 from me.
Addictiveness:
How addictive is this game? Pretty addictive. I played non stop for a really long time until I got tired and went to sleep. The game has a story-line which keeps you connected to it until the very end, and then some. I only really got bored with it because my Pokémon we're extremely low leveled for the after game and it is extremely hard to grind levels in this game. More addictive then Pokémon Ruby.
Addictiveness gets an 8 from me.
Story:
Boy. This is the sandwich of the game. What? The Sandwich? Yep. The Sandwich. Everything else is like the chips on the side of the plate compared to this. The Story of this game blew me away. Like ashes on a windy afternoon. I loved this story line. Kept me wanting more. Made me sad a little. Cried knowing this was the last one of the series DJG will ever make. Maybe someone will pick up where DJG left off? Wouldn't seem the same though. This game's Story is WAAAAAYYY better then the original by light years. You can even choose how you play, and it will affect the ending of the story. The Good/Bad/Neutral ending's. They are in there. So far, I've only gotten the good ending. I wish I could tell you I cried at each of the endings, but I've only gotten the good ending. This took me a while, though I did play nearly non stop for two day's to beat it. I wanted to get this review out the door like, right now. Speaking of Depth lets move on to the next topic....
The story gets a perfect 10/10 from me.
Depth:
Oh boy. If anything, this is most of the chips on the plate. This game is long. Really long. It could take you quite a long time if you don't grind levels for a while, or get lucky with some toxic like I did. All I'm going to say to keep this spoiler free is, It's going take you a while to beat the entire game. Especially if your going to 1. Complete The ENTIRE Pokedex (which I am completely sure is possible.) 2. Take on EVERY after story challenge. 3. I don't really know what else. But It will take you a while, I've stopped playing for now to get a break and write this. Because I needed to write this. I didn't want to, I needed to. Actually. I wanted and needed to. In any case, way longer then Pokémon Ruby by plenty of Kilometer's.
Depth gets an 8 from old Chuggamario here.
Difficulty:
Yep. It's like when you punch a wall and realize the wall is made out of iron. It is hard. Extremely difficult. And it was made difficult on purpose. Thanks DJG. The difficulty was spiked from the original. The original was easier then this so if your that one guy/girl who's afraid of a challenge. I'd like to ask you to get on your Donkey and ride on out of here please. This game is a challenge, be prepared to grind and train every chance you get or you will get destroyed. Not even destroyed, demolished, in the final part of the game. The final boss is just that hard. Way more tougher then the original. I only won due to a lucky toxic. And maybe some revives. Those are good to. I'm just going say this, It's hard like a Rhydon's horn. And a Rhydon's horn can break diamond's. So that's pretty hard.
Difficulty gets an 8 from me.
Well that's all from this extremely long review. Now just for my Recommendation's to people. I recommend this game to people who like the old retro styled graphics and love a change in music from the original Pokémon Sound Track. I don't recommend this game to people who are not willing to accept change from the original Pokémon story, which is pretty generic by now.
A little Trivia:
1. This Review is over 1000 word's long.
2. There are over 5500 character's used in this Review.
3. Character's means letter number's, etc.
4. My name's Chuggamario, nice meeting you and thank you for reading.
My final word's before finishing this review are all Reviews are based on opinions. This is my opinion of the game. Please show some respect to my opinion. I will respect yours.
THE END.

Greatest of the Ruby Destiny Series   catfight09
Alright, this will be my review for Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians. In my opinion, this is the BEST of the Ruby Destiny Series as the storyline gets the most intense.
In terms of Graphics, I give this game a 9. The reason why I put it so high is because the creator (destinedjagold) hacked the game a LOT and it still looks extremely well put together. Aside from the few bugs and glitches, this game might, in my opinion, be on the borderlines of an actual game (that is to say if it was finished).
The music from this game is very different from that of a pokemon game. In fact, usually in hacks, the creators tend to not mess around with the music at all. Well not this dude, he has added music from other games and tied them into this hack. I believe he had to go through a few test runs before he could get the music sound to balance out evenly with the sounds of attacks, options, etc.
Addictiveness is a 10. The storyline is just so intense and unexpected. Once you get going, it can be hard to stop.
Story is another 10. The plot is basically about the protagonist's mother wanting to send their child to school known as Hevah Academy. Along the way, you pick up pokemon and meet new rivals around every corner. Before you're able to take a quick nap in your dorm, the Academy is under attack. You are forced, along with the other students, to evacuate the building via secret tunnel/ cave. You go home where your worried mother sits their trying to tell you that you aren't allowed to go on a pokemon journey. Your aunt convinces her otherwise, and you start the journey similar that of a normal pokemon game. You find a lot of clues as you investigate the disappearances of the teachers and what these new organizations want in the region. You get to meet a few new fakemon, but not too many (I usually hate fakemon because they're slapped together and look like crap). Good thing with this hack is that there aren't too many of those, and the few that are look REALLY good and well done.
Difficulty is a 6.  You have to know what you're doing in this hack. There are a lot of potentials for a good team, but don't make the mistake of creating one too early or it can take a very long time for you to get through the hack. Be sure to keep up with your training; you can't afford to slack off or you will suffer for it. It's different in this game than it is an ordinary one because in and ordinary game, you can just buy revives and outlast the opponent. You can do the same, only problem is that the items are a LOT more expensive, and the game doesn't give you all that much money upon defeating gym leaders and trainers (For example, a great ball is nearly the same amount for an ultra ball in a regular game 0.0).

Woodenfan's Review.   Woodenfan
I've played this game through to the end, and I will say, I did have a good time. Despite this, there are many, MANY things about this game that really struck me funny. However, before we get to the bad, let's get to the good. The new sprites are cool, but some of the Pokémon are underwhelming. (I personally caught the Bunny Pokémon and was distinctly underwhelmed, even though it's a great defensive tank). Trainer rosters have been changed, but not every single one of them, although seeing some of the new Pokémon was cool. It brought me back to the days of Emerald when I didn't have a strategy guide and knew nothing about anything. However, let's get to the flaws. For one instance, the story's quite...weird, with much focus on Angelleon (or whatever it is). I can tell the game hacker really likes this thing, since it's been mentioned in all 3 of his hacks. It's alright, but it doesn't do it for me (mainly because it's been ages since I've played the other two). Depth wise, the game has a lot going for it, but my main issue is TOO MUCH BACKTRACKING. Seriously, backtracking takes up a good THIRD of the game. It gets VERY ANNOYING and it gets annoying quickly. However, when you get the HM for fly, it becomes more tolerable. The map is also confusing and I found myself getting lost very easily. Difficulty wise, the Trainer levels are very inconsistent, but they do provide SOME challenge. The rematchable Gym Leaders are in their 80's and it's satisfying to see some powerful new Pokémon and new moves. Overall, the game is...decidedly OK. The overabundance of backtracking and meshing difficulty are what turns the game off for me. But don't let that deter you from playing this game; try it and play for yourself!

Pokemon Ruby Destiny - Life of Guardians Review   linkmaster99
Well as you all know that I don't review much, but after playing this game a while I thought I might give it a shot. Well today my review is on Pokémon Ruby Destiny - Life of Guardians. I have seen complicated games, but this game really takes the cake. First off you journey through a whole new made up region called the Hevah. I would say though it was pretty decent, and caught my eye for a while. I enjoyed the time I spent playing this, and hopefully I see to doing it again. This was a nice piece of work, and wouldn't mind seeing more hacks being made. I would say that this Pokémon Ruby Destiny - Life of guardians is a fine piece of work. With all that being said time for the real explaining to begin.
Graphics: 9
The graphics were ok, and I didn't see a problem with it. The only thing I really didn't like was that noob looking Pokémon called furruny. Other than that they seemed perfectly fine to me. Some Pokémon were actually quite looking nice though, and the sprites were nice as well. I would also say that, most of the characters didn't fail to amaze me either. Not only that is that the legendary Pokémon were the most best of all. I would say though this game had it's time when the pixels aka quality started getting really bad. I didn't mind though because it was only for a short period of time. So yeah the game really didn't have much of bad graphics.
Sound: 8
Well the sound it was ok comparing most places. I will tell you the sound it didn't really have me on my toes for an opinion. In fact I just played the game, and didn't worry much on that. I am not much of a worrywart so I really didn't care as long as that game kept me preoccupied. So basically, I really don't have much to be explaining in this section of my review :P.
Addictiveness: 7
Well if you ask me, I was quite addicted to this game for a little while so yea it was pretty amazingly addictive. I was literally glued to this game for I would say a week straight, but I did stop playing it after a while. It was a nice game though that always kept me up for a challenge. Who ever made this game knew what he/she was doing. Every time I got closer into this game there was a new challenge awaiting. It was nice though, and this game actually taught me something about Pokémon. I guess I proved my point. Still though, you would know what I mean when I say beware ;).
Story: 7
The story was well thought out, and it wasn't like most hacks I play. It actually had a purpose to it, most hacks I have played was really stupid, and did stupid things like I would say, no purpose in what they did. So that is why this game has a pretty good story to me. The only thing is that it is pretty complicated, but wait I have a solution to that problem. Through out the game you will be receiving help by the creator, inside the game. Just so you know it would be a great idea to talk to a golden small ice cream cone looking thing, or as he said in the game "pyramid". That is also a good way to help you out. Smart way at that, so just remember if you are stuck you can always talk to that thing. It is rather creepy that he is almost anywhere like it is stalking you or something :P.
Depth: 7
Well I would say that this game is really something, no matter how long I played I still never managed to complete this game, I only had 4 symbols, and I still thought that that should have been the end of that game. I knew it was hard, but I did not know it was so long to complete. Sadly I lost all hope for that game, because after getting a heck of far into it. My data was deleted, I don't know how, but I was told it was that time site went under maintenance and a lot of data has been deleted from peoples games. Well anyways, when my data deleted, I needed some time away from that game at the moment, and now I am here again, I decided this game was just to fun for me to give up on like that, and I would really like to see the ending of it, so I decided to start the game again. One up, because it was purely awesome. I don't want to have to restart again so I really hope the game pull through for me this time :P.
Difficulty: 7
As I have said before this is one hard cookie. The game is really well put together, in one hard shell to beat. I don't see how, you get less money from battling, and the items you buy are way more expensive. So that means throughout the whole game for me I never evan made it to the 1000 in money. So that is what I mean by very hard. I needed to buy potions and some more stuff but it was impossible for me to do that. It may seems a little stupid, but all that training without healing, and other things paid off. I was a great Pokémon trainer :P.
Overall: 9.5
All together this whole game was a bundle of joy. I was really upset when my profile deleted because, I was really interested. I just couldn't bare it, and for a moment of the day I hated it, but now I am refresh, and ready to take the challenge again. I like this game, and all you guys should to, I would really like to say that, instead of finishing up reading this review. You all should be going out, and spending do viz on Pokémon Ruby Destiny - Life of Guardians. Good luck to all of you guys who enjoyed this review ;).

Pokemon Ruby Destiny- Life of guardians   RetroGamer1993
Well at first I thought It was just going to be a terrible hack of Pokemon but well now I think differently because the game's story interested me from the start because it was totally different to what I expect from a Pokemon game but I think this game is no different from any other Pokemon game as it's still the same formula which is collect 8 badges and beat the Pokemon league.

I haven't gotten to far into the game so my review is only of what I've experienced so far but I've played so many pokemon games that I don't feel the need to complete the game to review it as I know what to expect from pokemon games.
There are a few things I've noticed when playing the game for example some Pokemon's move sets seem to have changed or appear different & I'm thinking it's because the developer of the hack kept everything at 3rd Gen meaning moves like force palm or dark pulse do not exist in this game which makes me sad because there are Gen IV & Gen V Pokemon on this game.
The other thing I have noticed which is rather is that you have to backtrack often in this game which can take awhile but I'm glad the hacker put in a talking guide stone as it's great to always know where I have to go next.
The difficulty in this game is quite high as the levels of your opponents seem to be random e.G. The difference between the 1st symbol & second symbol was about 7-8 levels which I think is quite big and it caused me some difficulties but I managed to win eventually.
The graphics aren't really worth mentioning as it's exactly the same as pokemon emeralds so you will know what to expect.
The sound in the game was refreshing at first but I didn't find the battle music all that great it just seemed to not match with the game at all.
I find this game as addictive as any other pokemon game as it's the same thing you just collect your team then build it to become Pokemon master.
To be honest this game has huge depth simply because this game world is huge also the areas  are quite varied as they range from the sea to the desert and you can tell the developer made some effort in making this world.
The story well I mentioned earlier how I find the story interesting well it was certainly different from a normal Pokemon game which made me happy since for the first time ever it seemed more realistic e.G. You the main character was just a young boy who always dreamed to get a Pokemon and start an adventure but you mum didn't want you to become a guardian trainer because she was worried about losing you and I suppose things like this sound more realistic as parents would be like that in real life.
Overall I give this game an 8 because the music was poor and the backtracking is tedious which is a let down but I think everything else was perfect for a Game boy advanced Pokemon game I even think in some ways this game is much better than emerald and so I end my review here and hope others can look at my review and share similar view.

Pokemon RD: LoG Review   angelbear1297
Hey guys welcome to my first ever review! Since this is my first review I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave as much commentary/advice as possible so I can make these better in the future! Anyways, enough small talk, let's get this review started shall we?
Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians, or Pokemon RD: LoG for short, is the third installment in the Ruby Destiny Series created by DestinedJagold. As such Life of Guardians is one of the best games Jagold has worked on to date.
Graphics 7:The graphics in the game are very well thought out and polished in some parts but in other parts this is not the case. In some parts of the game the graphics stick out or have a whole new style that's different from the usual. Of course this is just looking at the negatives. Most of the graphics gives a new game feeling where you're not playing a generic Pokemon game but a whole new game instead. All in all they're better than other games I've played but they could use a little work. 7/10
Sound 8:The music in the game in well made (for the most part) and well timed. There are a few tracks (One in particular usually when Team Darkness attacks if I remember correctly) that sounds very high pitch. Otherwise there are various other tracks that help boast the story as well as the atmosphere and the mood of the game. Believe it or not music does play in a huge role in a game, in this hack the soundtrack is brilliantly selected and even includes tracks from various other games including The Legend of Zelda and Kingdom Hearts. 8/10
Addictiveness 10:Life of Guardians will leave you wanting more. Whether its from its intense story to finding all the new fakemon added you will be wanting more after this game. If its not the amazing storyline with multiple cliff hangers at different parts its the difficulty that will leave you asking for more. (See storyline and difficulty for more information)
Story 10:The storyline in this game is very deep and well thought out. Instead of having just one set story you can choose how the story plays out! Yep, I said it, this game has multiple storylines! Of course this is not present in the beginning of the game but once you get through the majority of the game you can choose between three stories: Good Bad Neutral. This is something that is rare if not unique to any Pokemon game. The story itself is similar to that bestseller book that you cant put down. Once you start reading you cant put it down until you finish the book. 10/10
Depth 9:The depth is okay but once you finish the game it feels like you are very limited in what you can or cannot do. While the game itself is very intriguing the post game makes you feel like you're going on a linear path again similar to the beginning of the game. 9/10
Difficulty 9:At first the game starts out very easy however there are several times where you will have to grind just to beat the next trainer blocking your path. Not to mention there are some cases where the levels jump from level 80 to level 100 in just one event while your Pokemon are still at level 60. If your team does not have a high level I suggest trying to come up with a good strategy or at least buy a lot of revives and hyper potions because believe me you WILL need them! 9/10
Overall 8.8:Overall Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians is a well rounded game full of suspense, challenges, and emotion lots and lots of emotion. Life of Guardians is a unique game that gets away from the usual defeat all 8 gyms challenge the Pokemon league become champion scenario. If you're looking for a new hack that gives difficulty and a good story look no farther because Pokemon Ruby Destiny Life of Guardians is the perfect game for you!

Awesome Game!   Diana4281
The game is amazing! The first hack ever to be fully complete with very little amount of bugs. I LOVE it's difficulty and must admit that the only reason I beat this game was because of Scolipede's Toxic and Giratina's Destiny Bond. This game could be considered near impossible and you have to do a lot of training. The only thing I didn't like was how you barely get any money. I mean, it's enough that you have to battle lv. 90 pokemon with a lv. 60 team but the money amount you earn is low, too? Love, the music, especially the one you hear when you are battling Zah at lv. 15 and the Edge of Time one(and you can't forget the trainer music, that was pretty awesome, too). The story was a little confusing with the whole getting the dragon gods despite them "dying". The graphics were...ok. I mean, most was plain so there's not really much to say about that.

Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Life of guardians review   TammyTwoPaws
(I just had to edit this review)
An absolutely astounding hack with some minor gripes.
Graphics: This game looks very good, and even most of the fakemon looks fabulouuuuus~ '10'
Sound: Great as usual as expected from Pokemon. Do I hear some custom sounds? '10'
Addictiveness: Holy bunny-juice, is this an addictive hack! This hack will draw you in like a vacuum draws in those innocent dust-rabbits... *Sniff* There IS one problem though... The back-tracking you have to do in this game is INSANE! At LEAST half of the game is back-tracking in one form or another, but it all becomes worth it because; '9'
Story: The story is simply amazing. Whoever wrote the Ruby Destiny saga should be hired by Nintendo/GameFreak. I mean it, is it absolutely awe-inspiring. It DOES become pretty confusing in the end, and unless you want to play the whole game again, DO SAVE STATE after the plane lands. Even after the main story is over, there is still a LOT of story to go through, so be sure to explore everywhere, even if you already have been there before. '9'
Depth: The world is huge. The world is astounding. The things to do are surprisingly vast. What more is there to say? It's simply amazing. '10'
Difficulty: This one was the hardest to pin down. Before the final battle against Team Earth, I would rate this 5, maybe 6. But now, it is a strong 7, maybe 8. The last three battles against Team Earth is extremely difficult since the enemy levels sky-rockets. That is not all though. Even if you power-level before the final confrontation, if you go and get the last badges you need, I will pray for you when you fight against the Pokemon League... Yeah, let's just say, it's hard. '8'
Final Verdict: An extremely fun hack, great story, too much backtracking. Final Score: 9.3

This game was fun, but had some big problems with me. The graphics were alright, sounds and music... some was amazing but, I noticed some music was copied. Depth, I personally think he got lazy, to support that look at this, you lose your badges many times. Difficulty, Well, it was extremely hard to me, you can hardly get money and you lose your badges so many times. Story, It was very suspenseful and amazing, but I wish you dint have to get your badges back. Past all that its a great game and I got attached to it. I love the game though. If the badge problem was fixed I would rate much better. I bet someone has the same idea as I do. If you like challenging games and suspenseful story's, this is the game for you. Also I would like to add that the game was slow, the text was slow, the movement was slow. I also want to add that the story was also fast little hard to understand, maybe that's why the text is slow.
