Pokemon liquid crystal review   SacredShadow
There are many great elements to this game, the graphics, the story line is different and the plot as well. I like this remake of the original crystal, it has many more challenges to overcome, the islands are amazingly designed and there are a lot of awesome features to this game that were added from the original Pokémon crystal game.  The scenery, the Pokémon and everything about this game are amazing and I recommend this game for those who liked Pokémon crystal and like challenges and exciting gameplay. I think this is an awesome remake of the original and I recommend it to Pokémon fans!
Graphics: 10
The graphics of this game are easily some of the best that I have seen. They resemble Pokémon fire red's graphics which I really like and I think are a big step up from the graphics in the original crystal game. I think they are very sharp and I am a fan of 3rd generation graphics, they are really nice and the scenery of the game is simply breathtaking. And I like everything about the graphics of this game. What more could one ask for in a game with lots of stuff to do, awesome gameplay experience and the addition of great quality graphics as well? These are amazing in my opinion and I score them a perfect 10 because I like the style of graphics used, and the design of Valencia island and all of the cities are simply amazing.
Sound: 10
Okay, I really do like the sound of the music in this game, there are a lot of soundtracks in this game that aren't in the original, and they are good to hear when you play throughout the game. The tunes all flow in to the scenery of the cities and there is a unique tune for each one, so it all fits together and it works perfectly, and when this happens, you get an amazing game experience. I really appreciate the effort put into the sound of this game, combined with great scenery and you get amazing results that pay off. This is one of those Pokémon games that you never get tired of playing because of the great sound, gameplay and all of its other stunning attributes. The sound deserves an easy 10, it is just simply amazing when you play a game with great sound because it can make all of the difference and keep you interested in playing.
Addictiveness: 10
It is simple, this is a Pokémon game, they are always highly addictive and I think this one in particular because it is off of the original Pokémon crystal game and I think that for those who liked it will want to play this game. Plus all of the training, leveling up and  battling make it addicting and all Pokémon games are meant to be like this and that is what makes them fun and re-playable. This game has more challenges and additions to it than the original which will make the gaming more entertaining because you don't know what to expect. I recommend that you take your time with these games to actually absorb all of its great features, because it isn't worth rushing through a game and not being able to take in all of the little things about it that make it so good. It is like eating food quickly, you don't take the time to savor the great taste of what you are eating. I scored the game's addictiveness a 10 and I don't think anything else would seem fitting, it is a Pokémon game, they are the most addicting games you will ever play because there is a lot to cover in them.
Story: 9
The story of this game and the plot are a little different and unexpected which is in some cases may not turn out that well, but in others, like this one, it adds an unexpected twist to the game making it different and more interesting. The different or unique thing about this game's plot is that silver leads team rocket and that sets up for a different unexpected plot which I think changes up from the basic Pokémon story. I scored it a 10 because a small change in the story of the game can make it a lot different and create a totally different experience.
Depth: 8
This game is a lot more challenging and has a lot more to do than in the original Pokémon crystal. You have a lot more Pokémon, there are more places to explore and there is just so much more added to this game than the original, I think that most hacks of early games are meant to be more of a challenge because of all the extra stuff added. I gave the depth an 8 because there is a lot to do and it takes more time to beat. I like games that offer a lot because I know that it won't be extremely easy and I think that is good when games are just the right level of difficulty to keep it interesting to play.
Difficulty: 7
The game may be a little challenging in some areas, some Pokémon games or even hacks are like this though and you shouldn't give up. If you are experienced with Pokémon then this shouldn't be too hard, it might take a while but it won't be impossible. If you have a balanced team and you take time to properly train your Pokémon and teach them good moves, then you will do well. You should never rush through these games, you need to take your time and in the end, if you take your time, it is totally worth it and it pays of later because your Pokémon are strong and you know what to expect, if you rush, than you might find it harder because your Pokémon may be underleveled and not as well trained, so take your time to train because training is valuable. The trainers in this game are more challenging than in crystal, they aren't pushovers where it is super easy to defeat them with a week time, so you will need to spend time making a strong, balanced team. I scored the game difficulty a 7 because all Pokémon games have challenges you have to face, but with time and if you have experience you will get through it. It took me just over a week to finish this game, so pace yourself and prepare well for the elite 4 and gyms as well.
Overall: 10
This game is definitely an A+ hack and I think that it is an excellent remake of the original. It is definitely worth your time to play this hack, it is challenging, fun, the graphics and sound are top notch and altogether it is just a great game. I had a great time playing this hack and I recommend this hack to those who played the original because you will be impressed at the extra content added to the game, it is longer, more challenging and will guarantee your satisfaction. I scored this game a 10 overall because there are so many contributing features that make it an amazing game, the plot twist, the extra islands at the end, there is just so much to do and this is the game for those who like hacks of original Pokémon games and are also in search of a challenge. I had an awesome time playing this game and this is just one of the best hacks, let alone of an original, that I have ever seen. It was an absolute pleasure to play this game and I am certain that you will enjoy it just as much.

Liquid Crystal Review   bluebluebandit
Pokémon Liquid Crystal is a fun, addictive, and somewhat challenging version of the original Pokémon Crystal on the Gameboy. Liquid Crystal isn't just a remake as it brings many new things to the table such as new rivals, a new team, gen 3 Pokémon never seen in Crystal, post game missions, gym leader rematches, many new places to explore using the underwater cave such as the type master dojo, and going to a orange island post game. This "remake" is very fun and expansive and I recommend it to newer and older Pokémon fans alike.
Graphics: 9
If I could I would give the graphics for Pokémon Liquid Crystal a 9.5 as the Graphics are very much improved on from the original. The only reason the graphics aren't a 10 is because there are occasional graphical errors (nothing game breaking or annoying) that are in the game but not counting the errors the graphics are fantastic for a remake the graphics look perfect for a remake and the graphics for Valencia Island looks great and there is nothing in the game that you will think is badly designed.
Sound: 10
The sound in this game is really good as some of the music isn't even in the original game and still sound good. All the music is good for wherever you are in the game and never makes you feel like it's annoying and each city has it's own music which makes it never get old. Even the music already in the game sounds great and that is what nets Liquid Crystal an easy 10 for sound which adds to the game experience.
Addictiveness: 9
It had me playing day after day since it was a while since I played Heart Gold and I enjoyed every minute of it, the game never got old and it was made very well as it never got boring even after getting all 16 badges and doing the post game content I was still wanting more game to play afterwards and it is even more addictive to long-time fans of Pokémon Crystal and Gen 2 in general.
Story: 10
The story is an easy 10 as its brings the remade game that was already very big on its own and adds even more content to the table with a few plot twists like someone turning evil, someone being more than meets the eye, someone becoming hungry for power, and someone's true father being revealed and many more plot twists that I can't reveal as it would ruin the story. Adding the post game content puts the icing on the cake as it makes the game even better and more expansive.
Depth: 9
Adding to the existing story there are new areas to explore such as the lost woods, outskirt island, the dive spots which you can take to go to any place in Kanto and Johto, Valencia island, and even new places to find legendaries. There is quite a bit of post game content where you can do things like fight Brendan, Face powerful trainers as strong as the champion, face the gym leaders again but stronger, defeat team rocket in multiple places, go to the first orange island, face the type master dojo and much more.
Difficulty: 7
While the difficulty is harder than crystal it isn't something where you have to grind all day to finish the game (like dark rising) even though without mild grinding you will have others with higher levels giving you a challenge. The game isn't very difficult and the only legitimately hard thing is the type master dojo where you have to fight 102 level 100 Pokémon in a row with no items which is downright ridiculous but beside that you shouldn't have too many problems with the game.
Overall: 9.7
Pokémon Liquid Crystal is a really great hack that I recommend to everyone as it is a fun, addictive, and long journey that you will enjoy the whole time with post game content to keep you excited for a long time.

Pokemon LC Review-Pure Awesomeness   RocketLeader
Pokémon Liquid Crystal 3.3 Live Beta is the current version of the very popular Pokémon LC. Compared to Version 3.2, this add a lot of Bug Fixes and also new Orange Islands.
The graphics are really good. Valencia Island or Goldenrod City are just beautiful designed, great for a fan of the 2nd generation like me. The reason why I rated graphics only a 9 are the Pokémon. The Pokémon during a battle feel "Emeraldish", since I´m not a fan of Ruby/Saphire/Emerald I don´t like some Pokémon sprites(e.g. Caterpie).
The sound is just great. Some new tracks which you won´t find in the original Crystal game are really nice, they fit with the environment.
This game is more a challenge than the original 2nd generation although it´s not that difficult if you´re a pro like me ;) Most trainers use strong Pokémon and also got Potions which makes the battles more entertaining, at least to me.
The story has been changed, and I think this one is really good. Silver will eventually lead Team Rocket and you will encounter guys like Giovanni and Lance but also new characters who aren´t in the original games like Zane.
In fact, there´s so much to do, I´ve played LC for more than 30 hours and I´m still enjoying it.
If you´re looking for an overall awesome Pokémon game with great graphics, pleasant sound, an expanded and better story and so much depth then you should play Liquid Crystal.

NotSoSuperHero47's Liquid Crystal Review   NotSoSuperHero47
Wow. For a long time I've enjoyed the GBA Pokemon games. But the Gameboy Color Gold, Silver, and Crystal were my favorites. And this games brings Crystal to the GBA era flawlessly. It's everything I remember and more with some added content, new rivals, stronger trainers, and more. I admit, back in the GB Color era, the trainers were pushovers. But this game adds difficulty and challenge, which I admire greatly. Exploring the Johto region in the GBA graphics is a great thing. Now, on to the ratings. Other than difficulty, all 10's. The FireRed graphics in Crystal are beautiful. The music is remixed, Crystal music sounding more modern is awesome. The addictiveness of Crystal and FireRed combined make this game a must. The story is in-depth, with a few added events thrown in, making it fantastic. Like I said, Depth is a 10, coinciding with the story rating. This is another game where a smaller team can be a little overpowered, and bigger teams under leveled, but in this case, get to as high level as you can, and bank on type advantages, and you will do fine. Difficulty is a nine. Overall, a 9.9. I recommend this game if you want the nostalgia, or just want a good game to play. One last criticism. In the beginning, Professor Elm drops the h-e-double hockey sticks, but it's quick and what I believe to be the only "curse word". I'm not offended, but it depends on your view on things, I don't judge. But don't let that keep you from this great game.

If they didn't decide to change that, a Lapras is caught in Union Cave every Friday. It's also the best non-legendary Ice Pokemon

Pokerus is a virus that affects your Pokemon. But don't be alarmed! It's a good thing! First thing: EV's (Effort Values) are points awarded to Pokemon through battle, Super Training, and vitamins (like protein and calcium).

beltranian15 10-15-14 - 06:37 PM
is there a thread anywhere showing the level pokemon evolve at that would normally need to be traded/use a stone?
Lucas M. Manion 10-12-14 - 05:35 PM
Apparently there is a SHORTCUT between Goldenrod and Olivine that requires Surf.
Lucas M. Manion 10-06-14 - 03:13 PM
lebron6239, Magmar didn't evolve into Magmortar until Generation IV. This is a hack of a Gen III game.
Gabe Puratekuta 09-20-14 - 03:23 PM
Okay, I thought this would be the perfect remake of Crystal, but it looks to not be. First off, there are more than two days and it's nowhere near 4pm. Second, the Pokemon Center and PokeMart look so wrong...
Gabe Puratekuta 09-20-14 - 01:42 PM
This is the final version, right? If, not, then I'll search for it to download
sakujun 09-04-14 - 07:25 AM

Hey dose anyone else get a ringing sound over the music in this version of the game? Any help or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

cant find a water stone can anyone help?
Sonneillon6661 08-09-14 - 11:07 PM
Onix evolves at like 40 or something or the other, but I do not think Magmar evolves in this one. The other ones you mentioned do though.
