Highly, highly overrated.   AuroraNebula
I am writing this review because I do not understand why everyone rates this ROM hack so highly. I see this hack being praised all over the Internet, hailed as one of the greatest Pokémon ROM hacks ever made. Even on here, Light Platinum has an overall rating average of 9.6. I was mislead by all the positive reviews into thinking this would be such an amazing hack, so I feel obligated to write a negative one myself after my bad experience with the game. There is so much blatantly wrong with this game that I don't even know where to begin. I suppose I'll just go in order. You're free to have whatever opinion you want about the game, but I feel like this game has a lot of obvious flaws that everyone is turning a blind eye to.
_
Graphics - 7
Graphics look very nice on the surface. Note that I said "on the surface." First off, the maps. Rather than stick with the original RSE tilesets (this is a Ruby hack), the tilesets are taken from DPP, and for the most part, the mapping is well done. I actually think the mapping is done better and is more interesting/detailed than the mapping of Pokémon in the first four generations. But when you look deeper, the maps have some pretty glaring flaws. For one, for a supposedly complete game, there sure are many graphical glitches. There are many spots that look like you should be able to walk on, but can't. An example of this is Inhore City (the honey town), a four tile spot to the right of a house located to the right of a Pokémart. There's nothing there, yet you can't walk there for some odd reason. Tile passability on objects such as benches isn't set correctly, as in you cannot walk behind them, which I found most annoying in the starting town, Yellow Town.
I played as the girl character, so I don't know if the boy character does this, but my character's reflection in water is shown to be blonde for some reason instead of dark blue as shown on the actual sprite.
The running sprites (at least for the girl) could have been done much better.
Characters sometimes completely vanish out of nowhere and show up again, an example being your mom briefly after setting the clock at the beginning.
There is a part where you have to take a ferry to cross a lake. The ferry is shown horizontally on the dock. When the ferry crosses the lake, it doesn't turn up, instead staying horizontal as it moves vertically, which looks really bizarre and lazy.
This last thing, I'm not sure if it qualifies as graphics, but in cutscenes, when the screen pans, it's done at such a painfully slow speed that I am obligated to speed the emulator up.
As for battles, the Pokémon sprites are taken from later games, and for the most part they look good except there are some sprites that needed to be cropped and look a little weird.
In short, effort was put into the graphics, but they could be done better. The hacker should have polished them up more.
_
Sound - 6
The soundtrack is just the good ol' RSE soundtrack. What's not to love? The RSE soundtrack is one of my personal favorites. The sound effects are also kept the same, and I have no complaints about the RSE sound effects.
...So why did I only rate this a 6 then?
I rated it a 6 not because of the soundtrack quality, but WHEN the soundtrack was used. See, the hacker didn't think about what songs would be appropriate for the various situations in the game. The best example I can think of is the fact that gym leaders use the regular plain trainer battle music (yeah, really), yet when Professor Oak was being attacked by a pathetic level 3 Feebas, one of the weakest Pokémon in the game, the Regi battle music played. That should be self-explanatory, I shouldn't have to explain why that's so wrong.
Trainer classes always have specific encounter music to suit who they are, but here, the default music for each class were changed, which is to a very unfitting effect for many of them. The best example I can think of is the Sailor trainer class. For some peculiar reason, the hacker thought it was a good idea to change the sailor encounter music to the twin girls encounter theme. I'm just so confused on why the hacker thought that was a good idea. Was it supposed to be funny?
There is also a part where Team Steam (the evil team of the game) has taken over a botanical research building and set the town on fire. You would expect something menacing to play as the flames engulf the town (I mean this lightly since the flames were tiny and didn't spread, and were not long after extinguished) but no, the DEWFORD TOWN music plays. Even inside the taken over building, Dewford still plays. I can go on and on and on with moments like this. The hacker just did not think about how important music choice is when crafting cutscenes or making a story.
_
Addictiveness - 2
I don't have very much to say about this. The only reason I played as long as I did is because I found the flaws to be entertaining. This is just simply not a good ROM hack.
_
Story - 1
The story might be the worst part. First off let me get this out of the way, I don't play Pokémon for the story. I don't go in expecting a story that'll tug at my heartstrings and bring me to tears. Second, yes, I know that English is not the hacker's first language but that doesn't excuse the mistakes made here. Anyway, I found the story hard to follow and boring. Ash Ketchum is in the game as the champion for some reason despite the anime proving time and time again that it won't ever happen, which immediately made me have no expectations for the plot and gave off the impression that this hack is meant to cater to fans of the anime. Speaking of that, the game's plot feels like a poorly-written fanfic.
What I mean by the plot being hard to follow is that the syntax in the game's dialogue is poor. The language used is very simple and repetitive, which makes the dialogue very boring to read, and frankly the scenes just don't flow very well. I hear that the story is much better in the original Portuguese version, so I think this hacker should have had someone help them translate it, smoothing out the dialogue so it sounds more natural in English.
There are also so many rivals (too many) and none of them have personality. Throughout the game, you fight many different rivals, far more than you have in any of the main games, even more than XY. Many people's complaints about XY includes having too many rivals. Well this game takes it up to eleven. ...Not literally. But still, you have about 7(?) rivals in this game. Because none of them have personality, I can't really tell them apart, so I lost count of them, but I think there are seven. Anyway, in your standard Pokémon game, you have only one or two rivals, which show up periodically to battle you. It's not that often, so it's unpredictable and ends up surprising you. In this game, any of your many rivals will show up so often to battle you that I was like like "oh... meh." when they showed up. I didn't get the feeling that I do when a rival normally shows up.
This last thing doesn't really have to do with story but it's about dialogue. It's so lazy. There are many NPCs that share dialogue, sometimes located right next to each other. Here are some notable examples:
- In Central City, there is a lady sitting on a bench with her Buneary that says, "My favorite POKéMON is ROSELIA. It's very fragrant and beautiful, but it's also strong in battle." A little south of her near the train station is another lady that says that same exact line. There are many instances of this. Most if not all areas have at least one NPC that shares dialogue with another in the same area.
- There is a boy with brown hair and glasses in a house also in Central City that says, "To learn a POKéMON's secrets, just be a good friend!" In subsequent towns, that same boy with brown hair and glasses appears in every single Pokémon center to say the same exact line. Speaking of Pokémon centers, I noticed that they actually always have the same 3 NPCs inside of them. The aforementioned boy, a ranger that says, "The POKéMON CENTER restores the energy of your POKéMON and heals them quickly." and a karate person that says, "I train my POKéMON every day so that they will be my best friends!" Most if not all of them have those same 3 NPCs, in the same spots no less.
- Every Pokémart has the same boy that says, "Here you can buy anything from POKéBALLS to ANTIDOTES!" even when the mart in fact does not carry Pokéballs or Antidotes. More on this subject under "Difficulty" below.
- There are even NPCs of a boyfriend and girlfriend next to each other where the girl says (using a couple in National Park for an example), "My boyfriend and I like to relax by this beautiful lake." and then the boy says "My girlfriend and I like to relax by this beautiful lake." Real people generally do not talk like this. They'd use different words.
I can keep going on. Besides the poor syntax, the dialogue is just plain lazy, as if the hacker didn't want to write enough lines of dialogue to accommodate the amount of NPCs they wanted to include in the game.
_
Depth - 8
What I won't deny on the positive side is there's a lot to do in the game. There are two regions to explore which puts it above most real Pokémon games in content. It's also of course, a Pokémon game, meaning you can spend hours just looking around for new Pokémon to catch which adds a lot of depth. However, all these flaws I described before and past this prevent me from being hooked in enough to want to see the full game. The depth is likely what makes this hack so beloved by everyone. What everyone should be keeping in mind though is that quality is more important than quantity.
_
Difficulty - 7
I had no idea what to rate the difficulty because it is all over the place. This game is plagued with fake difficulty and overall being unbalanced.
The very first area of the game alone had 3 unavoidable trainers, each with 4-5 Pokémon. All the other first routes in Pokémon I can think of have no trainers and just grass. This makes sense, because you are just starting out and cannot afford to be fighting, say... 3 trainers that each have 4-5 Pokémon. You only have your starter, and don't yet have Pokéballs to catch more to help. Normally, I wouldn't make a big deal of this, because in most games you can just return home to heal up. Most games have your mom heal your Pokémon, or in the case of Gen 2, there is a healing machine in the professor's lab.
Well, not Light Platinum! Light Platinum has absolutely no healing point in the starting town. Your mom does not heal you, nor is there a healing machine in the lab. I talked to every NPC there in Yellow Town, interacted with stuff, and no, there is no way to heal there. Indeed, my Bulbasaur ended up running out of PP and Struggled itself to death because there was no way to heal. That wasn't before me dying because he got paralyzed and there was no way to heal it besides fainting. You could say I would have had a much easier time there if I started with Charmander, but those Venipedes the Bug Catchers have know Rollout, so not necessarily. I don't mind a challenge, in fact, I believe main Pokémon games are too easy, but there's a difference between being too difficult and too unbalanced. This is just plain unbalanced. I should note you can find an Elekid in the starting town, but not everyone wants to be forced to use a specific Pokemon like that.
Remember when I said there are no Pokéballs? Well while I was talking to every NPC in Yellow Town desperate to heal my Bulbasaur's paralysis, the professor gave me Pokéballs. If I didn't do that, I would have never known that you could even get those free Pokéballs. That was a poor design choice, I wonder how many players completely missed that? The professor should have given you the Pokéballs when she was talking to me before I set off, not if you talk to her again.
Now let's talk about items. Another reviewer on here already addressed this but I'm going to mention it too. In a completely bizarre game design choice, the early marts sell the stronger (but expensive) items such as Ultra Balls and Full Heals, and the later marts sell the weaker items. Because the stronger items are sold at the beginning, and trainers don't drop much prize money, it's very difficult at the beginning to save up to buy enough supplies. Central City sells the weaker items too, (except Pokéballs) but all the marts past that sell the strong, expensive items. I don't want to have to go all the way back to Central City's mart just to stock up on the cheaper Potions and Antidotes.
This is especially bad because, another reviewer also talked about this, there are a ton of bug and grass type Pokémon during the beginning, meaning your Pokémon very commonly get plagued by status problems. You need to buy lots of Full Heals, but can't afford a lot of them because it's the beginning and you don't have much money. If you start with Charmander, I bet the beginning of the game is much easier, but my point still stands because just because you have a fire type doesn't mean you can't be affected by powders and the like. Also, even if you didn't start with Charmander, a guy in Central City gifts you a Growlithe, and you find the TM for Flamethrower early on. This isn't good game balance. You also get the TM for Focus Punch in the second town, which mind you is a 120 power move.  Very powerful TMs early in the game.
Growlithe isn't the only Pokémon handed to you either. You are gifted lots and lots of Pokémon throughout the game. More starters, Larvitar, Zorua, Miltank, an Eevee egg (you are told it's Eevee), Lapras... and this is just early in the game. It's almost not worth catching Pokémon at all because you get so many Pokémon gifted to you on a silver platter. I can see people liking this aspect but I don't, I think it's done way too much.
Central City also has a Safari Zone, which is cool, except it has two different areas that both cost 500 Pokédollars to get into. They have cool Pokémon at the first glance, until you realize that you can actually catch those Pokémon for free if you wait just a little. The most egregious instance of this is Croagunk. You can catch Croagunk in the marsh area in the Safari Zone. However, you can literally find Croagunk in the grass on the route to the right of Central City. What was the point of that?! I didn't catch a Croagunk myself there, but I can only imagine how annoyed someone who did would have been at that, considering how precious money is in the beginning.
Until around the second gym, all the trainers tend to each carry 5 Pokémon, it isn't just that first route. I enjoy battling, but even I found that a chore. Then suddenly trainers start having only two Pokémon, and the leveling curve ceases being as steep as it was at the beginning of the game.
I can keep going on and on, the difficulty is mostly fake difficulty, and it's all over the place. It tries to compensate by giving out powerful gift Pokémon but it just makes the unbalancedness of this hack more apparent.
_
Overall - 3
Some would say this is a harshly low score, but I see this as generous. Light Platinum just isn't the "amazing" hack everyone paints it to be. I have played worse hacks, don't get me wrong, but there's just so much weighing this down. I'm not saying don't play, I'm just saying to take the positive reviews with a grain of salt because this hack could be a lot better. Its strong points are graphics (in the strictly aesthetic sense since as I mentioned there are many bugs) and its length. Weak is everything else.
_
I have two more things I must mention, but don't know where to place, so I'll put them here.
1. There is a part where you need to infiltrate an area that the evil team of the game took over by putting on a disguise. The disguise is literally just the Acro Bike except instead of riding a bike, your character is wearing a different outfit. The bike music plays while wearing it, you walk super fast as if you're riding the bike, and you can even do the bunny hops while wearing it which looks ridiculous. Couldn't the hacker at least have removed the music? Or maybe change the music to be something menacing to fit the mood? Also, if you open the menu again to take off the disguise, the cancel for it says "WALK" which makes it more obvious that it's supposed to be a bike.
2. I am convinced that the hacker didn't playtest this much if at all. There is a way to get stuck by accident with no way to continue, I only could continue because of a Gameshark code to walk through walls. The second gym is skippable. After the botanical research building takeover, there is nothing stopping you from moving on to the area with the ferry I mentioned earlier, and taking the ferry. For some reason, the ferry is one way only, meaning that lake is a point of no return until you have access to Surf. The second gym badge grants you the ability to Lava Surf, so if you ride the ferry before beating the second gym, you are unable to pass Mt. Shuem which requires Lava Surf and are completely stuck because you can't go forward or back. A complete game, huh? If I needed to use a GAMESHARK CODE in order to prevent myself from being unable to progress, that is not a complete game and needs a fix.

Definitely a hack worth trying   SacredShadow
After beating Pokemon Light Platinum, I've finally made the time to write a review for it. This will be the first romhack I have played on vizzed, and I can definitely say that this game is very well put together and it without a doubt meets and even surpasses the standards of your average Pokemon game. I greatly enjoyed Light Platinum and all it has to offer, so I will be comparing it to the standards of any normal pokemon game. Without further ado, lets get into it.
Graphics: 10
When it comes to Pokemon games, graphics are an important factor to me, and this game definitely delivers in the graphics department. Everything in the game looks realistic, and the pokemon themselves are pretty impressive as well. I have to give credit to Wesley FG, the pokemon look exactly like they do in prior games, and the hack itself looks as if it could pass for an actual pokemon game. Everything from the buildings, the background and the towns themselves are all very well constructed while paying attention to small details like the bricks in the buildings, or the puddles on the ground. I also have to say that I was very impressed with how great the Zhery and Lauren regions looked, like I said, this game is really up to par with other pokemon games in the graphics category because the regions, the scenery, and the pokemon are all fantastically well put together and detailed which is why I scored them a ten.
Sound: 9
As far as sound goes, the music in this game is the same as Pokemon Ruby's, despite this, it actually fits into the game quite well. Like most pokemon games, the music can get quite repetitive if you stay in a particular area too long, and eventually the tune will repeat itself numerous times which tends to get annoying on several occasions, but this game progresses like most pokemon games, and it shouldn't take long to move on in the game, but if it becomes too repetitive for you to handle, you can always turn off the music. Sound wise, the game has pretty basic sound effects that are pretty standard in most games, the only thing I noticed is that quite a few of the pokemon cries in the pokedex are the same which is kind of odd, but it isn't that big of a deal on its own to take away from the game as a whole. For the most part, the sound in this game is pretty good, I personally would've liked to see the creator introduce some different music and change things up a bit, but the sound/music is still good for the most part, so I gave it an nine.
Addictiveness: 10
This is the one category where any and all pokemon games shine....I can safely say that as soon as I discovered this game, I was pretty much hooked from there, the main reason being that this game offers more, and it is just more demanding in general. The one thing that sticks out to me, is the amount of rivals and enemies you face compared to regular pokemon games, in this game, you will face your rivals more times than you wish to count, and this could be a good or bad thing depending on what you are looking for. Personally, I thought it was annoying at first because rival battles are usually supposed to be random, but after ever few gyms or so, you ended up facing them again. It can get pretty repetitive and dull at times, but I eventually got over it and didn't let it ruin the rest of my experience. In the end, it really comes down to how much of a challenge are you looking for, if you want a little more difficulty, then this is the game for you, otherwise there are plenty of other good hacks out there that aren't as difficult. Overall I scored the addictiveness a ten mainly because I like the fact that this game was harder because I've always felt that the majority of pokemon games were too easy to beat, so I really felt that this game stood out more in addictiveness and depth.
Story: 4
Generally speaking, Pokemon games have never really been known for having an incredibly detailed plot or storyline which I think is a good thing because it would take away from the gameplay experience. This is perhaps the only noticeable weak point in the game, for the most part, it is a lot like your average pokemon game, the only difference is that you have more rivals, and your character talks and acts on his/her own as opposed to not saying anything in other games. I guess you could say that this game takes away from the character's individuality because he or she, doesn't feel like they are truly your own character. Aside from that, you also have Team Rocket as the main "villains" of the game, they don't really live up to the title of villain if you ask me, but you will occasionally encounter them along with your rather frequent rival battles. Overall, the story is pretty simple and doesn't really introduce anything new to the game which is a little disappointing, but this is really the only gripe I have with the game, nonetheless I rated it a four.
Depth: 9
If anything, this game has a lot more depth to it than most other pokemon games, and even other hacks, the main reason being because it has two different regions with their own elite four. This is easily one of Light Platinum's best features because the game offers so much, the rivals are actually challenging, the gyms require you to take your training more seriously, and the elite four is also more demanding than what you've probably been used to. These are some of the reasons why this is my favorite pokemon hack, the game itself expects you to train more, and it also requires more time and dedication to complete which is good because most pokemon games can be beat in a week or less, so I'm glad this hack takes a completely different approach to things. Time wise, it took me about two weeks or so to beat this game, granted I spent a lot of it doing extra training, but if you are committed, it shouldn't take more than a month at most, then again, it all depends on the player. Altogether, this game provides you with a lot more challenges than any other pokemon game I've played which can be a good or bad thing depending on your experience, but I like a good challenge, thus I rated the depth a nine.
Difficulty: 6
For the most part, this game really isn't that difficult, sure there are a few puzzles here and there that might stump you, but you can always ask people in the game chat, check the game threads, or even look it up because this is a pretty popular game hack. All I can really say is, it is important to take the time to create a balanced team because you will be faced against a variety of trainers with different pokemon. It is always in your best interest to have as many different type pokemon on your team so you can get the most coverage possible. Other than that, you should also take the the time to properly train your team and level them up because this game has two regions, and it is significant;y more challenging than your average pokemon game. For the most part,?
Pokemon Light Platinum?is definitely more?challenging?compared to most other pokemon games, but is still?isn't incredibly difficult, hence why rated it a six because?you don't have to have prior pokemon experience to play it, although it might help.?

Addictiveness: 10* 35%

Overall: 9.2
Altogether, this game really does take the regular pokemon gaming experience to a whole new level, everything about this game is so well designed and put together, I have to give credit to Wesley, because this game came out great. I would definitely say this is one of the best hacks I have ever played, and perhaps one of the best pokemon games I have played on vizzed as well. This game truly met and surpassed my expectations and I don't think I can ask for anything more in a game. In the end, I highly recommend this game for those of you that like pokemon and pokemon romhacks, it is definitely worth your time to try this game out, and I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

Pokemon: Light Platinum - One of the best hacks out there   ajhockey19
Pokemon Light Platinum is by far the best Pokemon game I've ever played, and for references, that includes the following:
Pokemon Fire Red
Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire
Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Shiny Gold (Hack)
Graphics - 10
Well, it's a Pokemon game for the Gameboy Advance. What did you expect? This gets 10/10 because the graphics are as good as they need to be and given the system, they couldn't be much better. Pokemon games have never been about the graphics, especially older ones.
Sound - 10
Again, this game meets the par for all Pokemon games. It uses music from the third generation which, again, is as good as it needs to be. It won't blow you away, but it doesn't need to. Again, like graphics, Pokemon games are not about the sounds.
Addictiveness - 10
I feel like 10/10 doesn't do it justice. This game is ridiculously addicting. I've played through it 4 or 5 times already and it hasn't lost it's interest. I have a friend who's played it 7 or 8 times. Pokemon games are all addicting, but this one is even more than most.
Story - 9
As far as Pokemon games go, this game has by far the best story line I've ever seen. Most have a simple story line of you beating the Elite Four and a side story of you taking down some sort of criminal organization. This one starts off with multiple rivals, which is always fun, and a much more dynamic criminal organization.
Depth - 10
Like addictiveness, 10/10 doesn't do this justice. This game is miles more in-depth than most Pokemon games. The story is much more in-depth, as well as the game itself. There are two regions and 8 gyms for both regions, as well as an Elite Four for each region too. Multiple rivals for each region further the depth even more.
After you beat the second region's (Lauren) Elite Four, you can go to the World Championships to become the new world champion by defeating Ash Ketchum. But wait! Before doing that, you can now catch almost every legendary Pokemon from generations 1 - 5.
And it's not just the legendaries of gen 4 and 5 that are in this game, many other Pokemon of these generations are in Light Platinum as well! They work perfectly fine, just like any other gen 1 - 3 Pokemon, only they still operate under gen 3 mechanics and move sets.
Difficulty - 6
As far as Pokemon games go, it's a bit harder than some, but it's still relatively easy to beat. The beginning of the game is traditionally tough, but once you get to the first gym, you'll be fine. The levels of Pokemon get much higher in this game than in normal Pokemon games as well. The first Elite Four are in the 60s and 70s and Lauren's gym leaders are pretty much all in that range as well. Ash Ketchum, the current World Champion has level 100 Pokemon!
Overall - 9.7
Overall, I'd highly recommend this game, especially for any Pokemon fan. It's better that normal Pokemon games in almost every way. It even includes many in-game trades for all those Pokemon you'd usually like to get, but can't, like Alakazam and Gengar.

One of the best Rom Hacks on here.   Nyan_Wolf
Overall, this game is quite amazing. This is probably the best Rom hack I have ever played. They managed to put Platinum Graphics into a Ruby game! Starting off the Graphics are very good except for a few flaws when walking under or around something your character can end up in it but that's to be expected out of a Rom Hack. The sound was great in cities and routes but it gets brought down to a 7 because of the Pokémon past 3rd Gen have a new cry. They're cries from 3rd Gen and under but the ones that were added into the Pokémon sounded just strange and out of sync. The choices for the new cries were done poorly also. I found a crogunk with the cry of a poochyena, which just didn't seem to fit..... But I will say I played this game NON STOP! I just couldn't stop until I had beaten the first region and had moved on to the next! You can catch almost every Pokémon and every legendary with the exception of Celebi and Shayman as far as I know. I liked how you got different starters from different regions a lot. I loved getting my Mudkip in Inhore city. But I eventually found myself stuck in front of a computer screen for hours. The story was a bit wacky and it was hard to figure out what to do next with Team Steam and such but I found it fun. I did feel like this was not Pokémon for those moments where they talk about eliminating you and actually "killing" you which pushed it out of a fun Pokémon kid like game but still found it loads of fun. This game took me quite a while to beat! Much longer than when I would play games like Ruby and Red! The first region is a little bit bigger than the original Ruby game but there's another region! This game was a bit hard in the beginning of the game and getting money was a challenge since the first poke balls you could buy were Ultra Balls and Super Potions or Hyper Potions. Also with the first battle you have I had trouble even with a Charmander and Elekid so came out rough and my Pokémon had nearly fainted. I tried to talk to my Mom for healing but she would just talk about how she had faith in me.... So I forced my Pokémon to knock themselves out so I could have full health again, then tanked it through to the next city. But once you get through that rough part it's almost all down hill from there especially with a Fire type and the Elekid you get to pick up. Overall I give this game a nice 9.5 for it's uniqueness and I will say it again. It is probably the best Pokémon Rom Hack out there, at least on this website. If you play this game you will be glued in your seat in front of your computer screen until this game is completed!

Light Platnium... Quite the Great Game!   Rowigrath
Alright, Pokémon Light Platinum. A fantastic game all around (excluding the horrible beeping noise when your Pokémon have low HP), this game is not to be missed.
Story: It is a Pokémon game, so the story isn't going to be great, right? WRONG!!! A whole new story with the addition to Team Steam and plenty of rivals. Team Steam, much like the other villains like Team Rocket, want to get the best Pokémon in existence. So, they hunt after the legendary and previously unseen Pokémon Arceus. You arrive to your hometown just as your Professor finished helping a few Champions of other regions to remove evidence of Arceus. Then you are thrown into the "battle" of good and evil... and of course the battle between various trainers throughout the region of Zhery.
Graphics: Like the DS games, really great graphics here. The programmer did a great job. I have yet to experience any glitches as well.
Sound: The only bad thing I can say about the sound is that horrible beeping noise during Pokémon battles when your Pokémon's HP is low. That's really the only bad thing about the music. The rest is great, even when you are using the speed-up button to hurry the game along.
Addictiveness: If the story is bad, I don't stick around the game much, nor if the game is boring or repetitive. This game, however, despite it being a Pokémon game, has a bunch of cool additions: new leaders, new rivals, and other things in the game's description, as well as the ability to trade Pokémon in-game and get them evolved (like when you trade a Spinark for a Scyther, you instantly get a Scizor, although early in the game it probably won't obey you at all). In fact, all trades work this way, so you get a great Pokémon at its max evolution. You also receive rare Pokémon for free from people like Professor Oak, including starters from Johto and Hoenn, not to mention getting Pokémon from Pokeballs like Zorua and Elekid.
Depth: It may have Light in the name, but it is far from it! This game has amazing depth for a Pokémon game, including trades, hunting free Pokémon, and conquering gyms, after finding the gym leaders out in the field with their prize Pokémon. There are also a lot of rival battles, and some after you finish a gym or right before you can heal at a Pokémon Center, making the gym a challenge with all the surprises.
Difficulty: Speaking of challenges, this game is not the easiest Pokémon game I've played (the easiest is Pokémon Frosty, not that great, by the way), but it is not impossible with Potions and Berries. Items are like 2nd Pokémon in this game. If you don't have items, you could end up in a lot of trouble, especially during the Elite 4 and the Champion (whom I have to beat still).
So that is my review, and my very first one at that. Now if you will excuse me, I have to become the Champion!!

Great Game, but WATCH OUT FOR CELEBI!!!!!   neonhights
Overall, this was a fantastic game. I logged over 120 hours of game play, beat both elite fours and the world championship, and was working on catching all the legendaries. The writer should be proud of his work, it's one of the few games that offers a substantial amount of stuff to do after the Elite Four. Very impressed, just a few slight quirks
Graphics: The same as any modern Pokémon game, nothing really good or bad there.
Sound: Never played with the sound because I like speeding up the game haha. But from what I heard it was fine.
Addictiveness: Dude. This is by far the best game on here. Like I said, 120 hours of game play (sped up into about 10 hours, of course). This one will keep you coming back. There's so much to do, you can't just STOP.
Story: For a completely original storyline, I was impressed. Many times these hacks don't really have a decent background, but everything is well explained and logical. Team Steam (the new evil) has a few leaders, including one you piss off by destroying her over and over again lol.
You also have like 6-8 rivals over the course of the game. This can be both good and bad. If you have a well rounded team, extra experience. But they also have this habit of showing up at the most annoying times. It's a love-hate relationship. Also, you have to go find EVERY SINGLE GYM LEADER. Not a SINGLE one is EVER where they're supposed to be. This gets kind of annoying after about 6 or 7 times tracking them down and then walking back to the gym just to fight them. On the plus side though, the story goes on for a really long time without repeating itself or getting boring.
Depth: This is where this game REALLY shines. After beating the first elite four, another set of eight gyms opens along with a second elite four. And after you beat THAT, the world championships open, which is a tournament of 6 guys in a row (no healing time) culminating in a face off with Ash Ketchum (who has all level 100's) for the title of World Champion! CRAZY! After that, there's EVERY SINGLE legendary from EVERY SINGLE game EVER to catch, if you needed still more to do. I wish the original games had had this much depth, this is seriously like three games in one.
Difficulty: This feature ranges quite a bit. The first 8 gyms +  EF are pretty standard. You actually have to train your guys before the elite four (unless they were already somehow over 55) in order to win without just revive-heal crap over and over. After you move on to the next set, however, all of the trainers are at like level 40. The crap? Your weakest guys can manhandle them. Even the guys in gyms are weak (though the leaders are still mid 60-70's). Also, the world championships are not really that hard (I managed to beat it without a single guy over 68 using type advantages). And the saddest part is, while trying to collect all the legendary Pokémon, I found celebi in a part of the woods that had not previously been opened. So, naturally, I saved before trying to catch it. I caught it easily enough, but when I went to leave the woods had reclosed! I tried to fly, dig, focus punch... Nothing. So thus ended my game. A tiny glitch, but very unfortunate for me haha. So save OUTSIDE the area with Celebi before you catch it. Overall, though, the game is hard enough so you can't just blaze through, but non-experienced players should be fine. A good medium.
Again, this game is phenomenal. I know it sounds like I'm really hard on it, but all this stuff is tiny. It's very enjoyable and is the most in depth Pokémon game I've played by a long shot. To many hours of fun!

pokemon light platinum   nightagent181
who ever said the?Pok?mon platinum cant be on the gba? And this game even goes past the sinnoh region having Pok?mon black and white Pok?mon?. besides from a couple glitches like the Pok?mon contest this game is the best Pok?mon hack ive played.
.Graphics: 10
I rate these graphics a?10 because this game took the best the gba could do. It even includes parts where there are moving Pok?mon sprites in-game. Example: in some of the cities there are moving starly's on the rooftops.
difficulty: 7
I rate the difficulty a 7 because at the beginning of the game my first Pok?mon was already evolved before I even made it to the beach. Also the first Pok?mon trainer had so many Pok?mon that were really strong and my Pok?mon and I hardly made it through the first route. But after that it was it was a difficult as any other Pok?mon game.
Addictiveness: 9
This games addictiveness gets because after you beat the elite four and did the battle frontier? you don't really want to?play anymore.?if this game had a way to battle other people I?could give this a?10 thousand. But without battling other people like any other Pok?mon game your done.
Story:?7
The story gets a 7 in my opinion because it follows the basic Pok?mon story of an evil team and them trying to catch a legendary Pok?mon. But the way this team tries to deal with you doesn't fit Pok?mon.?What I mean is the evil tries to kill you trainer and that's why the story gets a 7.
Depth: 10
This game gives?you a lot to do. After you beat?all the gyms, the elite four and the champion you find out there is another region. Having 2 regions in the game makes it as long as 2 games. And even after you beat that region there is the battle frontier for you to conquer. And ever heard the saying "gotta catch'em all"? Well in this game that's possible. Except fro a few legnearies you could catch ever Pok?mon.
Sound: 10
The music comes from Pok?mon emerald. The BEST Pok?mon sounds of all the regions.
Overall: 9
after averaging out the scores it comes to a 9. I think this game deserves a good 9 because its got its glitches and its? the best Pok?mon hack ive played even with its flaws.
please reply and thanks for reading
and something extra
the story of the game: Like all other Pok?mon games you are a trainer who just started their journey(like all other Pok?mon games) at the beginning of the game you have a dream about arses dialga and palkia. So then the professor give you your first Pok?mon and you can choose from charmander squirtle and bulbasaur. So then you go challenging gyms and the regular till along your journey at certain points in the game the evil team angers some legendary Pok?mon? so that arceus would stop them and get weakened and after doing this for some e time the evil team tries to catch arceus. I will leave the rest for you to find out for yourselves people enjoy the game.

AMAZING   polo5885
Hey guys and welcome once again to another one of my gaming reviews! I would like to thank all of the people that commented on my previous review and encouraging me to make this one! Today I will be reviewing one of the best hacked Pokémon games to date. Its called Pokémon Light Platinum. It basically combines all of the previous Pokémon champions and puts in to one epic game! It has all of the Pokémon from all of the different regions and it is really fun to collect them! Now lets get down the ratings!
Graphics 10 - It has really good graphics for a Pokémon game all of the different sprites and such are all amazing! It reminds you of all of the different Pokémon games before with this pixely adventure! The graphics have fine detail with the Pokémon sitting on top of houses and different buildings it is really awesome!
Sound 10 - The sound is really good to because it has different sound tracks for every different route, town, or building . It is really good and sometimes they get stuck in my head because they are so catchy! The sound of the battles best as always and all of the different sounds the each Pokémon makes is still there!
Addictiveness 9 - This game is really addicting I must warn you once you start playing this game you will lose track of time very easily. Once you start playing this it is very likely that you will come back again and play it because it is so fascinating!
Story 10 - The story-line is amazing! It is the best to date incomparable to other hacked versions of this game even the real games cant compare to this one because there is always a new twist and turn at every corner! I also like your character sometimes talks in this game, unlike other Pokémon games you actually say something and that detail really makes the game a lot more interesting!
Depth 10 - Once again it gives you a lot of stuff to do such as catching all of the Pokémon's, battling all of the trainers, finding new and exciting legendaries, and much more! After you defeat all of the gym leaders and the elite four there is still a ton to do there no end to this and that's why it deserves a 10.
Difficulty 5 - Not that hard actually when you begin in route one and you the trainers, most of the have 4 or more Pokémon and your Pokémon usually can take them down quite easily and it levels them up really fast so I cant so its that difficult but it is challenging at some points like when you fight gym leaders and the have the greater type advantage. The controls are easy to learn up,down, right, left,a,b, very simple nothing that takes time to get used to.
Overall 9.7 - Its a great game that has a perfect combination of all of the other great Pokémon games in one. Really amazing I would recommend it to anyone that likes Pokémon. If you haven't tried it go do it right now!
Thanks again everyone for reading I hope you like it and can agree on my reviews!

Platinum on a Game Boy made possible.   mjabcd1234
Well this game came to me as a  shock. Platinum on a Game Boy. Amazing. It even has Pokémon Black and White Pokémon too! It surprised me some Pokémon where missing. And if you go into contests Pokémon's nick names will tell you what Pokémon they've replaced.
So it's an ok hack. Not the best. I thought they could of used empty slots. Like Missing No. Or ???. Well anyway, let's get into what i rated each category.
Difficultly:6
The beginning is a bit rough. I leveled up my Charmander so much he evolved before i helped Professor oak on the beach. The first trainer had so many Pokémon, and they were all really strong. I barely made it through the first route. The rest was steady as many Pokémon games are. So that's why this gets a six in difficulty.
Graphics:8
The graphics are the best possible for this site cause it only goes up to game boy. The creator even messed around with moving and talking Pokémon sprites, including starlys on buildings, etc. It still has a trace of editing too. There is a blue edge to every thing but grass and trainers. But other then that, everything looks amazing. It gets 2 points slashed off cause of the blue edges of most objects.
Addictiveness:10(I( wish 11 or 1 million was still a choice.)
All of your favorites are catchable in this game! With 600+ Pokémon, you want to collect your favorites from each region. At least that's what i want to do xD
Depth:10a
It is the biggest Pokémon game here. Six hundred+ Pokémon From Red, Blue, Yellow and Green to Black and White. You can easily get Pokémon by receiving them and such. Starters are granted throughout he game. Forums can help you find what you need since this is a highly played game. It is pretty big with stuff to do AFTER YOU BEAT THE ELITE FOUR AND THE POKEMON LEAGUE!!!!! There is never stuff like that.
It;s pretty amazing for someone to think of something like that. That is why it gets 10.I wish there was 1 million.
Story:6
It's an alright story, i mean it's weird for Pokémon. The evil "Team" doesn't want to kill you most times. They don't want you meddling in their beeswax. But Team steam goes all crazy for you saving the professor. The say your on their hit list O_O.  the very start of the game is also very strange. The rest of the story is alright. So it gets about a 6. Not higher or lower. Six Suits it perfectly
LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
Sound:10
Classic Pokémon music from Emerald. The best Pokémon music EVER! Nothing left to say.
OVERALL:7.Nine
Overall this is a nice hack and a amazing  game to play. I averaged them all up in my head and 7.nine ringed perfect to suit this game. If you like this game, talk about it in the forums below.Well that's really all i can say about this game. Thanks for  reading.

Pokemon Light Platinum   dragon111
Pokémon Light Platinum is a Pokémon ruby hack. This is by far one of the best hacks I have ever played. You travel through a all new region and at that make that 2. Zhery region, and the Lauren region this is a quite energetic Pokémon game that I have play 3 times but never beat it. So this is my review for this game.
My overall rating for this game is a 9.7
The reason for that is because it's a good game but I hate that when you get to a cut scene it moves really slow like the walking and the speed not like lag slow but slow period.
My rating for graphics with this game is a 10
The game doesn't have any bad graphics if you ask me it looks like a Nintendo  DS game, but with  a side of Game Boy Advance attached to it. So I don't think it has any bad graphics.
I gave the sound a 8
Sound is sound no matter what it is it sounds like Pokémon ruby so it doesn't make any difference what it sounds like but although I do like the music at a pinch.
Well addictiveness I gave it an 10
To me the game is really addictive and fun I played it so many times and enjoyed it very much. And there are a lot of games I enjoy but Evan after my file has been erased I still played it because of how fun it was.
Story I gave it a 10
Well as I have said before the game is really long because you go through 2 regions and battle 2 Pokémon leagues but if I am wrong correct me I have never beat it I only came close to beating the zhery so yeah I like the game so I gave it a high rate.
Depth I gave that a 9 because of how long it takes you to beat it well I wouldn't say long if you just hurry up and rush to the end of the game but of course it's long to me.
Lastly the difficulty I gave it an 8
The game is really to me in my opinion harder than other and usual Pokémon games that one is one tough cookie and if you don't believe me and has never played this game check it out . http://www.vizzed.com/play/pokemon-light-platinum-gba-online-game-boy-advance-37346-game

A Pokemon Light Platinum Review   liquidmk
This review is an "in-depth" review of the Pokemon Ruby romhack, Pokemon Light Platinum. I'm a little strict and maybe biased when reviewing games, so take this with a grain of salt.
Let's get this out of the way first, this is a romhack. It's not something made by a huge company. However, this romhack IS pretty well made. There's no doubting that. With all 600-something pokemon intact, plenty of rivals to battle, a new story to dive into, and many more things.. This romhack is probably amazing, right?
..Well, that's when my review comes into play. I don't play a LOT of romhacks (Just some), but I have played a lot of the Pokemon games from the 1st generation to the 4th generation. (I haven't experience the 5th generation quite yet.)
So I will be comparing this romhack to the regular Pokemon games.. It's probably not fair on paper, but this CAN be compared to them at a degree.
As for how far I've gotten through the game, all eight badges were collected. Just wanted to verify this before claims that I didn't reach the first gym or something like that. Anyway, the review begins.
--
Graphics:
When it comes to graphics, it really excels with flying colors. Wesley FG (The person who made it) did a really great job making his own region and makes it almost feel like it's a mysterious region never to be seen by Pokemon players. As for the "new" pokemon, both the Gen 4 and Gen 5 pokemon look exactly as they did in their own respective games. It's worthy of praise.
I have seen some minor glitches throughout my playthrough of Light Platinum, but you can't always be perfect.
The graphics gets a 9. To the untrained eye, you could mistake this for a REAL Pokemon game.. However.. There's a lot more to cover other than graphics.
--
Sound:
The music is the same as Pokemon Ruby's. There's no denying that. I'm not really a fan of the Gen 3 music, but it seems to fit right in for this romhack. There are some areas with silence, which is questionable.. But it's passable.
The sound effects are about the same as well, except for the new pokemon noises. Frankly, I saw this as a little lazy because of re-using different pokemon noises.. But what else can you do with a romhack?
Sound gets a 8. If there were less silent moments, it would definitely be a solid 9. You really can't mess up with the sound in a romhack, unless the sound is completely distorted and loud.. Thankfully, it wasn't.
--
Addictiveness:
This is kind of hard to rate, because I was playing this in short bursts. After around 15-20 hours and getting the last badge, it gets really repetitive at some points. Specifically anything to do with the Team Rocket-esque group that was included with this romhack was painful to go through. This is because some of the members were using the same exact pokemon lineup. (Makes sense if it's a standard rule code for them, but it feels a little lazy.)
Another thing to mention is that there are TOO many rival encounters. I can understand having at least two rivals, but.. There are more rivals than that amount. It just feels more of a chore to fight them and not as surprising when these rivals come out of nowhere. (This is probably a complaint from a bitter man, but it was frustrating.)
The reason why I'm adding these two nitpicks is because it really affects replayability for me. Too many rival encounters really stagnates the game experience.. And that's not good.
Addictiveness gets a 6. Light Platinum is more fun when you progress through the game, but it gets pretty rough early on. (If you pick any pokemon other than a Fire type, that is.)
--
Story:
This is the part of Light Platinum that can be considered as awful. I can understand making a romhack is hard and coming up with a half decent story can be hard as well.. But Light Platinum's story is really amateur-ish. I can understand this romhack's story appealing to certain people, but the lack of substance is awfully noticable to me.
One major problem I have with the story is that your character talks and acts on his/her own accord. Something that a real Pokemon game doesn't do. It feels like he isn't your "character", but just a major character to the story who acts on his own.. With a name you chose for him/her.
Scripted events like these ruin any immersion present and makes the romhack degrade in quality.. But that's not the end of it.
As for the "villains", the Team Rocket-esque group is REALLY pathetic by "evil" standards. Their motive in the game is clear, but generic. There's one specific moment that they take over a museum-type area and they're completely ignored by the general public. That's just funny.
As for some of the Team Rocket-esque group's leaders.. They're okay. Later, one of the first leaders are almost like denounced to grunt status. I say this because there's one area that has everyone saying the same thing after defeat, including that leader as well.
Let's talk about the rivals, there's around 4 or 5 rivals total in this game. (I wasn't keeping track. Apologies.) Some of them are important due to their own positions of power.. But when you get a rival encounter after every 30-60 minutes, it starts to get really old. Most of the time, they fight you just for the sake of fighting you. Thankfully, there are breaks from rivals ever so often.
There is a reason why the regular Pokemon games do not have a lot of rivals in their games: It's because it ruins the surprise with rivals. Rivals are meant to be surprising. This dates back to the original rival, Blue.
Here's one last problem with the story.. It's predictable. Very predictable. You start to notice something after the third or fourth gym, you always have to find the gym leader for whatever reason. I don't recall this happening as often in the regular Pokemon games. (Or any other romhack I've played for that matter.) So this can become really repetitive at times.
Story gets a 4. It's really hard to find anything of praise for the story.. It's easily the weakest part of Light Platinum and could use a LOT of improvement.
--
Depth:
Now the depth. It's at a decent length, but there's a lot of places to cover in Light Platinum. Lots of cities to go to and lots of routes to take. Many pokemon to catch.. You can literally play this game for a long time with no problem. It's faithful to the regular Pokemon games.
Depth gets a 8, the reason is because some areas take a bit longer than they need to. (I'm looking at you, routes!)
--
Difficulty:
Here's something that caught me by surprise. If you don't pick a fire type as a starter, Light Platinum is pretty difficult early on.. REALLY difficult. Normally I never say that, but it's apparent that Light Platinum is addicted to bug and grass types.. This is also a bad thing.
The reason why the influx of bug/grass types is bad is because of status effects. Poison, paralyze, sleep.. The way to fix that would be getting Antidotes and such as a counter.. That is until you realize the shops only carry Hyper Potions and Full Heals. You know, those things that cost a lot of money.
This.. Is the other fault to Light Platinum. There is VERY little to spend money on. Early shops only carry expensive items such as Ultra Balls, making catching pokemon not only expensive, but almost mandatory depending on your situation.
Thankfully, there are some NPCs that give you different pokemon. (Sometimes, they know your name as well!) Making Light Platinum a bit easier, but it's still difficult.
It's almost offensive later, as you get access to Great Balls and even the basic Antidotes and Paralyze Heals. I don't really know what's worse, the previous paragraph or this.
The gym leaders are generally easy, if you're prepared.. Up until the 8th gym leader, which requires high levelled pokemon to compete.
Difficulty is a 7. Light Platinum CAN become a difficult game early on, but the midgame is smooth sailing for the most part. Late game requires a bit of grind.
--
Verdict: 7.8
Light Platinum is a well made romhack and it shows. However, the faults present in the romhack drags it down a bit. I recommend Light Platinum for the depth and catching them all. However, I do NOT recommend Light Platinum for the story, as it's not well written at all.
--
In a nutshell / TL;DR : Light Platinum is good, but the story isn't.

Pokémon Light Platinum Review by TornadoMudkip   TornadoMudkip
My 3th Review! Enjoy Reading! This time about Pokémon Light Platinum!
First the Graphics: The games looks okay, the Houses are okay, and the Trainers as well.
The Female Character is ugly because she had ugly clothes and long hair, I don't like that, that's why I choose the Male!
The Male Character is okay because he has okay clothes and I like his cap!
The Male and Female Main Characters could be better Designed!
Pokémon Sprites are Small, they could be Bigger!
In the game I've found a lot of Glitches, I don't like all but it's okay!
The Graphics are okay, I'll give a 7
Second the Sound: I like and love the R/S/E Sound and this Game has the same Sound! Yay! :D
The Battle Scenes Music is good and the Music of the Towns, I like the Sound.
And some Pokémon Cry's are wrong! I don't like that! (Most of the Gen 4 and 5 Pokémon)
I'll give a 9, Overall the Sound is good!
Third the Addictiveness: I like this Game!
You can catch all Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 5, that's a lot!
This Game is fun, you can catch really a lot of Pokémon! And you can Create more Teams!
And you can catch almost every Legendary Pokémon, that's cool!
Also you can get a lot of Pokémon from People in Towns, almost in every town one! (Including Starter Pokémon!) Really amazing! :D
I'll give a 9, it's really good!
Fourth the Story: The Story very good!
It's very long, and there's a lot to do!
You can defeat 16 Gyms and the Elite Four + The Evil Team, Team Steam.
Also you can catch a lot of Pokémon of course! :)
You can travel a lot in 2 Regions Zherry and Lauren! < This Game is not boring trough that!
I'll give a 9.
Fifth the Depth: You can do a lot in this Game, it's very long!
The Creator of this Game made a lot of things to do, that's very good!
I like it, that a Game is very long, that's making the Game more fun!
I'll give a 10.
Sixth Difficulty: The game is sometimes Hard!
Almost all Trainers are using a lot of Pokémon like 5 Pokémon even in the Begin when you only have one Pokémon! < That's not easy to beat!
The Trainers are using Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 5. That's good, I like to fight with different Pokémon!
Also the Elite Four and the Champion are very tough! (I could beat them not easy!)
I'll give a 7.
Overall: This Game is fun because you can catch Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 5! (Almost all Legendary's too! :D)
With a lot of Glitches, this Game it still fun to play!
Also, it's very fun that the Safari Zone is at Central City, one of the Begin City's
That says enough that you can catch in the Begin also a lot of Pokémon!
Even the Pokémon that are hard to find like Feebas, you can find and catch the most of them easy!
Well the Game is fun! If I was you, I should play this Game, even with the things that aren't fun!
This Game deserves a 9!
So this was my 3th Review, I hope you like it! :D
Note: I edited my Review!

Pokemon Light Platinum   brawler456
First of all, lets discuss the Graphics. Graphics of this game were as good as any other Game Boy Advanced Game, for Pokémon that is. However, it incorporated many details of past games. Like the Head butt trees to make Pokémon fall. Not to mention the fact that he/she recreated the Pokémon Centers into a brand new style. As well as incorporated Pokémon from different regions. Overall, Graphics is a 9.
Next of is Sound. Sound: Horrible for the sprites and Gym Leader music. The Pokémon from other regions for example, have different cries than what they normally do. For instance, a Skorupi (From the Sinnoh region) have the sound of a Marill (Jhoto region). The Gym Leader music is just the regular trainer battle music. It makes no absolute sense. Players who are playing this as their FIRST Pokemon Game, will be confused when they play an actual non-hack game. Overall, I rate Sound a 5.
Next to Addictiveness. Addictiveness: This person recreated the whole pokemon game as we know it. He/she added new cities, new pokemon on each route, along with a new story-line. This gives players a chance to be surrounded with a new story. Surprises are left and right on this game giving the players more entertainment than most modern Pokemon games. This is most definitely a 10!

The story. Story: Excellent like Addictiveness! The Story is elongated compared to other games. The first gym doesn't even begin until you've battled the evil team (twice), battled two rivals, and rescue a Pichu from drowning. This was the best and longest story line I've ever seen in a Pokemon game. Story is, like Addictiveness, a 10!
Next we have Depth. Depth: Big game. Offers a lot. What it offers amazed me when I first played. This game gives you the opportunity to get a starter from each previous region giving you the opportunity to experiment a little. Also, it gives you the opportunity to get into Pokemon from every region since this does have pokemon from every single Region (Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova). This game is huge from the start. Depth, is a 10.
Last but certainly not least, difficulty. This is actually a bit more difficult than most pokemon games. It adds the fact that you have to train hard to beat each gym (Considering the first gym has level twenties and four pokemon to beat). It also adds new Routes, so you never know what to expect with each Route. It could be a long Route to where you have to play for hours before you find your way through the Route to get to the next city. Also, you never know what lies ahead in the Cities. It could be just a normal town with a pokemon center, mart and a couple of houses. Yet, it may be this blown out city that includes a Gym, Mall, and 5 story buildings like Celadon City in the Kanto Region. Overall, I rate Difficulty a 9.
Overall, this game is the perfect balance of fun and difficulty. Though the Sound could be better, and it definitely decreased my overall rating, I rate Pokemon Light Platinum Version an overall 8.6.

Another Great Hack by WesleyFG!   vicXdom
First of all, let me get this straight.... Pokémon Light Platinum is -hands down- one of the best Pokémon game hacks/remakes out there.
Pokémon Light Platinum is a great hack/remake (take your pick) of the Game Boy Advance game Pokémon Ruby. When you read that, you might have thought, "What???? But they're nothing like each other!"

                                                                             That, in fact, is true.
Pokémon Light Platinum has much to offer, including a whole new region named the Zhery Region filled with -that's right- Pokémon from all generations for you to catch while exploring this new region. This game also introduces a new storyline, not just differently named towns with the same things to do in them. There are also new Gym Leaders, new rivals,(some are the main characters from the main Pokémon games) and a new event that takes place at the end: the Pokémon World Championship. Now, I'm not exactly sure what this is, so ask Wesley if he can explain. Also, for the people who are just crazy about Legendary Pokémon, good news, in this game you can catch every Legendary except for Shaymin, Tornadus, Thunderus, Landorus, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect.
                  Now for the scores...
                  Difficulty: 6
I think that Wesley could have raised every wild and trainer Pokémon's level in this game just a little bit-maybe by 4-5 levels- because you can easily finish the first couple half-hours without losing a single battle.
                  Depth: 9
This game has a lot to offer (as I explained in the third paragraph), and it is extremely obvious that Wesley spent a lot of time and put a lot of heart into this game.
                   Story: 9
Again, as in the third paragraph, Wesley introduces a whole, complete storyline that is very big. I'm glad that he made a whole new story; not just introduced a new region and other new features with absolutely no story to follow. And yes, I have seen that in some so-called remakes.
                   Addictiveness: 10
If you played this game before, can you possibly argue with that? Unless you're a big Pokémon hater.
                   Sound: 8
While the sound is better then most Game Boy/Advance Pokémon game's sound , you can't possibly compare it with the sound from the Generation 4/5 Nintendo DS game's sound.
                   Graphics: 9
Again, (why so many repeats????) although the graphics are much more refined than Pre-Generation 4/5 games, but it still can't stand up to the DS' 3D.
                   Overall: 0.4
Now why would I say that, even though this game is a great hack for newbies to Pokémon hacks, has great graphics, introduces tons and tons of new features, and has great sound?
Because I wanted to get your attention.
Overall: 9.7
Well, that's it for my review. My user name is vicXdom, and please rate this! I hope you enjoyed this Pokémon Light Platinum Review!

Probably My Favorite Pokemon Hack on Vizzed   RDay13
Ah, Pokemon Light Platinum. A great game where you explore 2 regions that aren't found in the original games, Zhery and Lauren. To be honest, the first time I played Light Platinum, I hated it. I couldn't get past the 3rd or 4th gym, and being the hothead that I am, immediately rage quit. A little while later, I came back to this game as one of my RGR friends wanted me to play it. Reluctantly, I cooperated, and it was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made on Vizzed. This was one of the best hacks I've played on Vizzed, if not THE best. I've beaten the game 3 or 4 times now, and nevertheless, I love talking about this game. Anyways, on with the review! (This is my first review that I have ever made for Vizzed, so please keep that in mind when you're about to set your computer on fire ;) ).
Graphics:  9
This game has great graphics! On top of the pretty decent graphics already in place from Pokemon Ruby, the maker of this hack, Wesley FG, took it one step further. I don't really care about the graphics that much unless it's really bad, but this game's graphics stood out, but for the right reasons. The game characters all look nice and they look like they could be found in a real Pokemon game. The buildings, bodies of water, etc, all look great, and the Pokemon look good too. The reason why I gave it a 9 for graphics instead of a 10 is because of some glitches, albeit minor. In certain places, you are able to "climb houses" by simply stepping back on a house tile, but only a small number of houses allow you to do this, maybe 2 or 3. There were actually two bigger glitches that I found when I played this game. I hopped over a ledge and into water, and I kept walking on this small lake. I couldn't get out, so I lost my progress after my previous save. Another glitch in this game, albeit a helpful one, is the masterball glitch. I don't know if the maker of this hack intended on making this glitch happen, but you can basically get as many masterballs as you want, if you spend a few minutes repeating a simple process. Besides these glitches, I loved the graphics!
Sound: 7
The sound in this game is pretty much the same as the original game. I usually don't listen to video game music, especially Pokemon, but I love the music from Gen 3. It's pretty good, in my opinion, but since it's basically the same as the original game, I can't give it anything higher than a 7, as not much work was done in this category. No offense or anything :P. I'll give it a pass, as sound isn't one of the main things I look for in Pokemon games.
Addictiveness: 10
This is pretty self explanatory, considering the fact that I already said that I have beaten this game a few times. I love this game so much! No matter how many times I play this game, there's always different things I can do to make it exciting. In my opinion, the part that made this game so addicting was the challenge of the first elite four and the World Championships. The first elite four was pretty hard and usually takes me at least 2 tries to beat it. If I'm being honest, the entire Lauren region is garbage, but that's ok. It's sort of like a resting time in between the Zhery League and the World Championships, and I usually beat the whole Lauren region in 4 or 5 hours. I love the wide variety of Pokemon that can be obtained in this game, and love how, similar to GSC or HGSS, there are 2 regions, with 16 badges to obtain. Anyways, this game is very addicting and I want to play this game again very soon.
Story: 5
As with most Pokemon games, with Mystery Dungeon and Ranger games being the exception, this game's story isn't all that great. I mean, it's alright, but it's like any other mainstream Pokemon game. You start in your home town, get a starter, journey through the lands, battle gym leaders and elite four, and defeat the evil criminal organization. One of the few things that this game had that was better than real Pokemon games, in terms of story, was the abundance of rivals. You have a truckload of rivals to battle, in both regions. They're pretty weak for the most part, but it's free EXP, so who am I to complain :P ? To sum up the story, it's not much more than your average Pokemon game, and that might be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it.
Depth: 10
Pokemon Light Platinum is a very deep game. As stated before, there are 2 regions to journey, Zhery and Lauren, respectively. Zhery is very deep and takes a little while to finish. There is a whole lot of stuff to do, and the trainers here are actually good. Lauren has the same area size (relatively), but there aren't many things to do there. You can easily finish the whole Lauren region in a couple of hours, depending on how much you grind. Even though Lauren is pretty short, I feel that the Zhery region more than makes up for that. This, on top of the fact that you have a World Championships with the 128 best trainers in the world, which makes for 7 battles. Light Platinum has so much to offer in a lot of aspects like gym leaders, trainers to battle, Pokemon to capture, and legendaries to capture.
Difficulty: 9
Now, for this section, you have to take in to consideration the fact that I'm a total noob. I tend to finish most Pokemon games with little trouble, but I found this one to be quite challenging. If you don't grind a lot, then this game could be almost impossible for you. The Zhery gym leaders aren't that hard, but their elite four is pretty challenging. The Lauren league, as I have said before, is a complete joke. If you beat Zhery, you literally do not need to train any further to beat the Lauren elite four (however, I would suggest training so you don't get abused in the World Championships). Basically, I'd give it a 10 for difficulty, if not for the Lauren region. The Zhery region is a great challenge, and the World Championships are very hard as you have to beat 7 progressively harder trainers in a row, without being able to heal your Pokemon in between battles, even with your own items.
Overall: 9.5
You're probably wondering how I gave it a 9.5 when I rated some categories relatively low. I tend to want different things from games, and not necessarily all of the 6 areas are equal in my opinion. Some matter a lot to me, and some barely matter to me. Anyways, this is probably the best hack on Vizzed, and if you haven't beaten this game, I highly recommend playing it. You might not have liked it the first go-around, as I did, but you might really like this game if you try it again. This was a great game, and I can't wait to play it again, whenever I have the time.

Pokemon light platnium   marcus047
First off light platinum is a Pokémon hack in a genre of all its own, because  between the epic rival trainer battles, landscape, legendary Pokémon in it, and the fact it has two regions with two elite 4's, and an all new extended feature after you beat both elite four's the Pokémon world championships! So seriously if your a huge Pokémon fanatic this is just the type of challenging hack your looking for!
Graphics I gave a perfect score, 10 because for one this hack may say its a hack of Pokémon ruby, but its graphics tend more to be like something you would expect from a Nintendo DS Pokémon game.
Sound I gave a 9 because its no real difference to me in this game and in a regular Pokémon game.
Addictiveness I gave another perfect score of 10, because of this hacks all new features, hm moves, and trainers levels and also gym leaders levels and also gym leader remakes and elite four remakes, not to mention the story, it made the game fun and keeps gamers interested in seeing the hacks story all the way threw till the ending.
Story I gave another perfect 10, because the story, well quite frankly I've never played or seen  anything like it, its all new and will have you at the end of your seat dieing to know how it ends! It's long, meaningful and very well thought out, and you can obviously tell the creator worked tiredly, hours upon end  to come up with the excellent dialog and story portrayed in this game.
Depth I gave it a 10 because this game is extremely long, but keeps you interested in the story, and between training and progressing ,not to mention you can capture every legendary Pokémon all in this one hack, so between hunting down all legends and training and beating it (both elite 4's and the world champion ships) the games time length is estimated to be at about 3-4 weeks.
Difficulty, well now the not so good part of the review, the difficulty i rated was a 5 because the Pokemons experience points have been edited  a bit in this hack so leveling up your pokemon is gradually easier, but type advantage is everything in this so your pokemons level doesn't really matter so that made it easier to beat, but be farwarned the gym leaders Pokemon and elite 4s Pokemon as well as regular trainers pokemon levels have been boosted really high.

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   grim creaper
I have nothing better to do so I guess I'll write a review for this game.  I'll start of with describing the graphics.
I rated the Graphics as a 9 because compared to a majority of the other games, their pretty decent.  Most of the hacks I've played use very similar graphics, and it makes for a semi-boring game, but the graphics on here at least make the game play a bit more interesting.  I don't really pay attention to shades or what different tiles are so I can't really give this section a great review... The reason I didn't rate this section as a 10, is because the graphics are still a little bit buggy.  I remember in one town, there was a building where it would look as if you're standing on the roof instead of behind the building.
Sound... I rated this a 7, because as far as I could tell it just copied the music of the gba games.  Not that the sounds on the gba games are bad, but after playing the Pokémon series for countless years the sounds get old after awhile... I would have liked to see an upgrade to the sound in this hack, but extra content added makes up for everything.  Besides, I fast forwarded for most of the game.
Addictiveness... It's a fairly addictive game.  Anybody who has played and beaten Pokémon Emerald will enjoy this game.  It's kind of like the Gold/Silver/Crystal versions combined with Emerald.  There's not much to do after you beat the World Championship...  But there is an entire second region, complete with 8 gyms and a new, stronger elite four to beat.
I rated the story as an 8 because it's not much different from the typical Pokémon game.  Set out on a quest to beat Gym Leaders, get badges, fight your rivals numerous times, beat the Elite 4, become the champion... All the while attempting to stop a gang of villains from accomplishing their sinister plots.  However, Team Steam had a new goal compared to the other villains in the gba games, and there's an entire second region to explore, so that's why I rated this an 8.
The Depth category of this game is DEFINETLY rated a 10.  This game clearly took a long time to make.  The elite four of the second region seems like a more powerful version of the first regions elite four... But they have a few different Pokémon on their teams.  The world championship has 7 rounds and can't be healed in between them... There are a ton of rivals in this game, I think at least 3 or 4.  The gyms are all unique, with new layouts and customized teams.  Pokémon are available from all generations, including every possible legendary known to man (Although a majority of them can only be caught after defeating the second region's elite four)...  Can't really think of anything else to add to this category.  It took me 2 days of nearly non-stop play to actually beat this game.
As for a little side note I'd like to add... This game is without a doubt worth looking into.  The only downside is it has a tendency to glitch up if you use the in game save and reset your game...  I would recommend sticking with save states, I never had a single issue with this game.  The only glitches I encountered were beneficial ones (Nearly unlimited masterballs, a way to rematch one of the trainers, etc.).  Oh, and several towns in the second region can't be flown to, even after you visit their Pokémon Centers.

OVERALL 9.9 - has to be the best hack I've played so much time and detail went into this I really would like to shake the persons hand who created this its just amazing best hack of a Pokémon game ever! Not to many glitches(unlike most hack games)I loved how there where 2 regions all new so many different Pokémon battles and new gyms!
GRAPHICS: 9.0 -good graphics only thing I noticed was that a couple of the Pokémon moves weren't what they were supposed to look like kind of a bummer but its really not that big of deal I love the new look of the trainer you get to be and how the layout's of the town are couple minor bugs but nothing to really dwell upon!
SOUND: 7-just the normal Pokémon music nothing to complain or complement about its just music
addictiveness: 10! This game had me hooked since about 5 mins into it I loved it the story is fairly deep it kept me just wanting to know what happened next I loved it I love how they also have the world championship too that's awesome  and the fact that you can catch every legendary Pokémon! There's no way you can ever get bored with this game its mad fun I love it!
story: 9. Loved it was just perfect! I like how theirs so many "rivals" and so much to do from random people giving you free rare Pokémon to stopping team steam from waking up the legendary Pokémon to catch for them self so its just the basic story though catch Pokémon beat the e4 then the championships and then just become a boss Pokémon trainer :P
depth: 9. As I said earlier this game is really in depth there was a lot of work and time put into this and im glad I had the chance to play it (even though I'm not done playing it) and of course we have to thank vizzed for us being able to play this amazing game! :)
difficulty : 5 its really not a hard game at all which I like no one wants to be sitting here playing a fun game then just start to get mad because they get stuck or something like that but it's really not that hard at all just fun!
I would hope that every Pokémon fan would give this game a try it's definitely worth it! :D

pokemon light platinum review   Cody322
This is a really great game that I have played at least 5 times already. Overall I give this game a 10. The graphics are what I would normally expect on a Nintendo ds. They also are the best for this website in my opinion. I give the sound an 8 because it has the same music as Pokémon emerald, the first Pokémon game I played, giving it a nostalgia bonus but I played with the sound turned off because I abuse the speed button. Like I said earlier this game is extremely addicting.the story is great but a little weird so I gave it a nine. The depth of this game is amazing 2 regions, over 600 Pokémon to catch from red, blue, green, and yellow to black 2 and white 2, 16 gym leaders who all have rare and interesting Pokémon, 2 elite 4s and 2 champions all of which have wonderful Pokémon add up to millions of hours of game play and even more fun than a regular Pokémon game. The difficulty is a little high if you chose any starter other than charmander, but even with him the trainers and elite 4 are a little over leveled. The Lauren leaders and trainers are way higher leveled than kaori the champion of the zhery league.but the normal trainers and wild Pokémon are much too under leveled to give you much exp. Even with the lucky egg. So again overall this game gets a 10 from me. Please don't hate on me. This is my very first review. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. Please be a good person and remember vizzed is family friendly - please do not swear, spam, flame, advertise, post pornographic content, or insult anyone. Best Pokemon game I have ever played!   mrcluzadder48
Honestly, I love this hack, it has so many Pokémon and it lets me make my team out of whoever I want. Also I love all the people in game who give away Pokémon for no reason, it is possible to have 3 different starters and many other difficult to get Pokémon. The graphics are the same as any other Pokémon game and the music is too, but the sheer number of rivals, legendary Pokémon, and new content is just baffling and that is why I think that this is the best Pokémon game ever made/hacked. The story is almost the same as the other Pokémon games but for the first time that I have ever seen it continues past the elite four and gives the player something to do once they have beaten the four master trainers in the new region where there are many new gyms and towns and adventures just waiting to be had. At first I was confused when instead of receiving normal poke balls toward the beginning I actually got ultra balls, as well as being offered a whole diverse team of free Pokémon that I talked about earlier. The controls are pretty good and even though the speed up feature goes for most games, I find it especially useful in this and the other Pokémon games that are offered on this great website.

No way you can ignore this game!!! :3   HakumeixShay
Everyone has to say..... This is one of the best hacks out there.
Overall - 9.9 Reason: I must say, this is a very good game, it took a lot of time and effort to make this game, putting in amazing Pokémon, one of a kind graphics, custom characters, 1 in which are from the cartoon, and 3 in which are from the books, that is why this deserves 9.9/10 overall
Graphics - 9 Reason: Unlike other hacks, which either try to make their own graphics, this one doesn't fail nearly as horribly as others, you get to see a touch of different design in the water, the trees, but it still manages to have some problems, such as: THE HAT! Never forget about that boy's hat, when you walk outside of battle, it looks like it's smashed up to the back of the head, that is why, this deserves a 9/10 for graphics
Sound - 8 Reason: 1. Why the zebra are the gym leader, the elite four, and the champion music regular trainer battle you act like: it's time for stuff to go down, and when you actually fight the person, it's like, what the zebra happened to the music? This game made me laugh a bit, the second gym in the second region, what a coincidence, the trainers have the Team Magma and Team Aqua theme, it's like BIRD POLICE! RUN!!!! That is why this deserves a 8/10 for Sound
Addictiveness - 10 Reason: Can't you understand, this game is as fun as zebras! Enough said...
Story - 8 Reason: It had a original story, defeat the Pokémon league, but this time around they had a World Championship. It's just that, Team Steam had stolen it's design from Team Galactic design, but other than that it was okay, that's why it deserves a 8/10
Depth - 9/10 Reason: Just like any other Pokémon game, taking out the World Championship, this game has a lot to do, and adding the world championship, it has even more things to do, and then there is the part where you can help other people along their path as you finish yours, that's why this game deserves a 8/10, thanks to Vi zed
Break off - K, now before I end this, I really want to say that are you surprised I'm doing a review X? K, back to the Review - End of Break off
Difficulty - 4 Reason: Easy that's it. [Laugh face]

Graphics 10
I gave graphics a ten considering they are for the most part custom sprites, and it's a hack for the Game boy Advance;plus for the most part they're better than the usual ones from the normal games for example you can actually see the bottoms of lakes and what is inside of them. There are also a lot more Pokémon out of battle The Poke center, and Poke mart are slightly different with revolving lamps next to them instead of the normal signs the inside is also remodeled. Your character after acquiring the running shoes  when he/she runs bounces slightly like real people do.
Sound 5
I really don't care about the music as I usually put on my own or I get so in to the game I don't hear it,but it is the usual  music from the GBA for the most part.so that's why I gave it a five.
Addictiveness 8
I WILL be playing this again enough said here.
Depth 9
A lot of characters including Ash who you meet at the beginning of the game, and the only reason I'm telling you this is that you don't name your character Ash as I know a lot of fans including me like to do.
Difficulty 5
This is the only real problem I have with the game is that all the Pokémon including the level 2 are hard to catch. But a side effect of this is that Pokémon are extremely easy to level up I evolved my starter Pokémon on the very first route.
Story 9
I at least find this story pretty cool,I will not be doing any other spoilers so to find it out play it yourself.
Overall 10
Well nothing really left to say I think this is a great game for any Poke fan to play.

Light Platinum is overrated   LocksmithArmy
I really dont want to sit here and break down why I rated the way I did. I simply want to explain why this game is overrated. and the best way to do that is to follow the ratings one by one...
Graphics: 9... congradulations... it looks good.
Sound: 10... and yay it sounds fine, no glitches here good job.
Addictiveness: 4... its just too hard to want to play more than once
Story: 5... well its a pokemon game after all
Depth: 7... its got some interesting additions
Difficuly: 8... 8 on a scale of hard to easy, not what is good or bad... the game is hard(if you like hard than thats good)
wait, I just went through all the ratings and did not even get to the "amount of glitches" category...
lets start with some of the more obvious ones, like how every time a pokepic is shown, you get a large pokemon ontop of it(and your sprite) until you change maps. then there are the randomly appearing people that happen when you change maps. this is because sprites are not loaded until you actually enter the map. it is poor map planning, easy to fix if youd take the time to do it.
some of the more advanced things. Why can you only buy ultraballs and hyper potions. just to blow your money... wouldnt it make more since to just give less money(yes I am a poke hacker and that is why I notice bad planning). a free powerful pokemon in each town... whats the use in this. I did like the free items in each town, they made since. but if youget this free powerful pokemon then it severely underleveled... you have to waste you time grinding, due to the games difficulty. I have also noticed pokeball items returning after you pick them up(may be on purpose). then there is the poor map design, when a player enters a pokecenter they want to heal, they dont want to move left and right just to get to the nurse... bad design.
We havent even mentioned the poor sprite placement. how sometimes you cant get through a door or talk to the nurse or get to the pc because a npc has walked in your path. this should not happen, bad placement. (and why the boat sails sideways... whatever). then there is the ungodly amount of characters that keep introducing themsleves but dont really add anything to the story. just arbitrary fights with powerful reoccurring characters, for no reason.
anyway, Im just ranting now. the fact is this game could have been made much better if the creator focused on the small details. yeah there are some cool additions but the general gameplay should not be full of glitches... just sayin.

Pokemon Light Platinum review   malkin77
Summary:
Pokémon Light Platinum is a game any Pokémon lover would enjoy playing. This game has everything a fan would love and even more than we may have ever imagined possible. The only feature this game is really missing is a spectacular 3D feature but that's not until the upcoming Pokémon X and Y. You start as the rest of Pokémon games, set the clock. Although the journey to getting your first Pokémon is different, instead of walking in the lab or saving the professor its almost as if a test battle persay. Its a very enjoyable experience since Nintendo doesn't differ much in the beginning of the game or the set plot of the entire game at all. Now for details.
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in Light Platinum are well done and are a piece of work. Some Pokémon have new sprites and are very well done almost as if done by Nintendo/Gamefreak themselves. The dimension given to this game are also something to brag about. This game, even though being a hack of the 2D ruby, is in a 3D view of the world. Not everything is 3D but for the most part it makes you happy and reminds you of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.
Sound: 8/10
The sound in this game, to me, is a step up from the music in other Pokémon games. At least it doesn't annoy me as quickly. Then again I don't really listen to the music or sounds of the game because it is usually muted so my judgement on this is only, in all actuality, of the sound in the first minute of playing. Even though I do not listen to it for long I would expect it to be as the rest of the game and be fine. That is why this is only a 8 because I don't use it but it is not much lower, that way I don't give you a bad idea before playing. This way you just expect it to be the average Pokémon music you hear in the background.
Addictiveness: 9/10
This game will keep you up playing several hours on end. As long as you are a avid Pokémon fan that is. This game features many things the other Pokémon games do. Your storyline, the contests, may trainer battles, elite 4, and a new addition the Pokémon World Championship. I have not reached that part of the game just yet but I can guess it is not something to be disappointed by. This game all around is just spectacular. I find my self coming back and playing this every few hours because of the range of Pokémon you can have.
Story: 9/10
The story in this game is a bit different than your average Pokémon game. I mean there still is a Rival team known as team steam (just realized that rhymes) but there is more to the story than just them. Back in the old games there were snorlax in your way and the little quests people would send you on, and this game brought all of them back. It is one thing I have missed from the old games and I'm glad the hacker/developer of this game decided it was a feature worth bringing back in to the game. So all in all if you are a Pokémon fan who is looking for a little bit of a change because the real Pokémon games are just getting a bit repetitive, try this game out and it wont disappoint you.
Depth: 9/10
I will say that this game has very well created depth. The story has a more details than a normal game, the developer took the time to add most of the Pokémon and made sure all of the fans favorites were in this. It is a very well thought out game and must have took quite some time to create. This game will take you a little longer than your average Pokémon game to beat. There are a few more steps that this game puts you through and some of the tasks harder than others. of them just being tedious and taking some time to do with little reward but you do get through it and end up not regretting it.
Difficulty: 5/10
The difficulty in this game is split down the middle for me. The items you find along your journey make the game easy. In the average Pokémon game you may find a potion or maybe a ether or a simple TM a Pokémon can learn. Although in this one just in the first town or two you can find a few MAX potions and even the TM flamethrower. Like my gosh. To me it was a bit of a surprise, but the reason it is split is because the trainers you face also have increased difficulty. So although these moves you find may seem inappropriate to be so soon, with the increased difficulty it makes it all more appropriate.
Another thing under difficulty is that a few Pokémon are obtained through talking to people so make sure you do that. Some are in buildings some are right outside in lab coats it all depends. So far I have obtained a Growlithe and a Torchic. You have the option of the three starters from the hoenn region from a guy in the university. I found this nice but also adds a feel to the game as unrewarding and not really mine. If I had not really loved the Pokémon Arcanine and Blaziken I would have turned these down, but that's just me.
Last thing under difficulty goes the controls. The controls are just as you set for the rest of your Pokémon games. Your simple arrow keys and whatever you find to be comfortable. These controls to me seemed very easy to learn and did not take long at all to adjust to.
Overall: 9.2/10
This game when you put all of the above things together makes a very well created game worth playing. Any Pokémon fan would agree. One thing I have heard about but have not experienced myself was a few glitches that may have prevented you from finishing the game. I myself have experienced one glitch where I was not able to move and everything was still going on, it was as if my arrow keys broke. Luckily I talked to the person in front of me again and the game released me from its spell and set me free to roam around. This game as a new map layout and is fun to play. I would suggest it to any Pokémon fan and anyone looking for a good fun game to play for hours.

Lazy Review Here
I enjoyed this game a lot, it's definitely one of the best if not best Pokemon games I have played on Viz. Awesome Game
Difficulty - Its about as easy/hard as any other Pokemon game out there
Depth - The game is of a reasonable size and continues after the Elite Four which is always good.
Sound - Again on par with the other Pokemon games
Graphics - Really good
Things worth noting for anyone playing this for the first time
There is an absence of fire stones in this game the earliest been on Victory Road.
Trade evolution's. If you plan on using a Pokemon that has a trade evolution, you will need to use the in game trades.
You can get one of each gen starters including one of the Unova.

Amazing.   Daedra
This has to be the best game I have played on this site. Not only is it unique in it`s own ways which sets it apart from the other games/hacks, it`s addicting and has a good story with interesting characters. There is much to do even after defeating the elite four. You get to go for what seems to be ALL the legendary Pokemon. The graphics are great and that of any recent Pokemon game, in some hacks they change the Pokemon to ones that look just awful (Pokemon Quartz) and it ends up becoming an annoying part of the game but that has not happened here.  Just about every Pokemon game I have played on this site has been addicting, but this stands out compared to all of the rest. If you have not played this yet then you have really been missing out. This definitely is not the most difficult Pokemon game here, I think Pokemon Snakewood becomes much harder than this, but I`m not complaining. If it was too frustrating then not many people would stick with it to the end. I never really care about the sound, I never had any issues with it while playing this game other than the beeping that you hear when your Pokemon is close to fainting, but that`s tolerable and in each Pokemon game. There is PLENTY to do, but rivals do tend to show up at inopportune times. Like when approaching a Pokemon center. Also, after reaching a certain... point in the game... a few areas that you have passed seem to reset which is bothersome. There are some towns that you are unable to fly to. There are some minor annoyances which maybe should have been worked out but nothing that ruins the experience, but there is one glitch that works in your favor which you will find about if you play the game long enough.

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   linkmaster99
Pokémon Light Platinum, well this is weird. Well anyways. This game is a really fun, hack of Pokémon Ruby. If I had to say, the moment I started my Pokémon adventure, I knew there was something special about this game. Well it came to me in a shock, but it was really fascinating, and enjoyable. It also was quite the handful of a game. What I mean is seeing all these rivals. Anyways I commend this game for keeping me entertained day in, and day out. I love this game, and I am long before I finally fully complete it. I am at the Lauren region have the time of my life :). Anyways let me get started on my review for this wonderful, and cherishable hack :3.
Graphics: 10
Well I could not complain much on the graphics especially since it had all new, tiles to it. I would settle to say that it had, some Pokémon HearthGold tiles on here. The quality of he game is amazing, which looks nothing like the original Game Boy Advance graphics. That is what I love about this game. It is a nice generic looking, game, and it couldn't improve on it anymore. The only thing they can change is bugs. The game has quite a few of those in it.
Sound: 10
I don't see any problem with the sound on this game. I know this though it sounds like the original version of Pokémon Ruby. In fact I honestly like the songs on that game. I quite enjoy it very much, and I did notice, that the music did not bug me at all. I played this game with joy, and had my fill of fun doing it. I didn't see why the gym leaders, and elite 4  had regular Pokémon trainer battle music though. I didn't care though, the game was awesome :).
Addictiveness: 8
It was simple enough for you all to know that this game was truly addictive to me. I had tons of fun, and I still have much to do on it. That just makes this game evan more fun on my behalf because, I still have to beat the Lauren, and catch all the legends, and catch all the Pokémon. Still though, other than that, I found all the after events I have been through pretty interesting, and addictive. Fun times, and bad times. I had more fun times though. The creator WESLEY FG really developed, a hack which is hack of the year :3.
Story: 8
The story line of this game was truly remarkable, and I don't think any type of words could explain it. This was simply amazing going through 2 regions, and both are kind of difficult. If I could say it better than this it is a miracle. This game had me on my toes for the next part in the game. I was simply ready to continue on, and on until it was over. Sadly I got snagged at some parts, and needed some sort of guidance. Still though I exceeded, and to me that is all that matters.
Depth: 7
Well I would certainly say, if it wasn't to hard, and too long it would be, to bad of a game. It was not though. It was long, and the road to victory wasn't easy. We had to make certain sacrifices, and you had to always be on guard for the next thing. Most parts were not hard if you trained properly, and most parts were really easy if you trained properly. This was really great, and it was a great way to sharpen your skills for the next game you played. This game could give you a run for your money, and in any case, you would be n for a big surprise when you got started. Either way, words will not help you, you have to join the game, and discover for yourself. That is a no joke game. Interesting, yet have you coming back for more. WARNING YOU MAY DIE FROM COMPLETE AWESOMENESS.
Difficulty: 5
As you all know this game was some what hard, and it isn't to bad either. The thing that was really upsetting is that when you get out of a cave or a mountain which had your Pokémon demolished, a rival will come to challenge you. It was so unexpected, and it never fails to happen. It seems like that whenever you have good luck the bad luck always take over. They send you back , and you have to restart your revamp again. That is what I hated. Another thing is on the elite 4 of Zhery, you should really have some suitable Pokémon ready for it. To me all my Pokémon were either level 50-53. I demolished the elite 4, but struggled against the champion. So I warn you now be [prepared to face a true Pokémon challenge.
Overall: 9.8
I know I talked about how awesome this game is a lot, but here is where the fun finally begins. I couldn't really for the matter say it, but this was the best part on the game. I quite enjoyed it, and I was really at the tip of the ice berg on it. It was nice fun, and was really wonderful. I enjoyed, having the opportunity to adventure the whole Zhery Region.  That is a made up region, with Pokémon of all 4 generations in it. It was really nice, to be able to play with all those Pokémon, and I really loved the gesture of it. It was nice, and I also enjoy the Lauren region. I can't forget that one. However, to me that isn't quite the longer region. The Zhery region, was the root of it all. It had nice, and mostly compatible opponents. It was very nice to see who I lost to, and who I won to. When I loss a match I understand why, when I win I match I understand why. We all have our personal reasons for things, and always have a proper way of solving them ;).

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   mr.pace
This game was exceptionally well.  I enjoyed it greatly.  It's core story was amazing.  If there were more hacks like this one, I would be a happy good fellow.  This game has much to offer.  From great graphics to sound and from Pokémon to battles.  This game has it all.  I highly recommend this game to you Pokémon lovers and even to first class Pokémon players.
Graphics:  The graphics of this game surpasses that of the GBA style.  The game's graphics integrates DS style graphics with GBA style.  I was greatly impressed by how well and how smooth it went through the game.  The battle graphics were amazing and very accurate.  Overall welly developed.  10/10.
Sound:  I can guarantee you that if this game had horrible sound I would not have played it.  What is a Pokémon game without sound?  Or any game for that matter.  The sound in this game was superb.  It was never off sync and it fit into perfect situations.  The only thing the sound lacked was originality.  The game used music from other Pokémon games as opposed to it's own.  Overall wonderful.  9/10.
Addictiveness:  No matter how frustrating it may be, you will get addicted to this game.  Even after you beat it, you will want to go back and play it over and over again.  It is very fun.  I have but countless hours into this game.  Believe my you, you will love it.  Overall. Amazing 10/10.
Story:  The story of this game is as with all Pokémon games beat the gyms beat the Elite Four and catch Pokémon.  However this game offered a different twist.  Your primary objective was to capture legendary Pokémon.  This in itself was spectacular because while other hacks have legendary Pokémon in them, the games never mention in them that their reasoning is to document legendary Pokémon.  Overall.  Sweet.  8/10
Depth:  As I said before this game has a lot to offer.  Nearly all Pokémon are obtainable and all legends except the newly added Victini and the rare Genosect.  The amount of hours that can be put into this game are roughly 54.  I highly recommend this game.  Overall. Splendid  8/10.
Difficulty:  Hah.  One of the most difficult games if you don't know what you're doing.  YOU CANNOT win this game if you do not level up.  This game is extremely aggravating if you don't level up properly.  You cannot short hand any thing in this games.  You have to play it to the fullest extent.  Then and only then will you be able to make it easy :D.  Overall.  HARD(but can be easy :))  9/10.

Amazing Hack!   pinkusb
I am very impressed with how well this hacked ROM is made; there is almost no signs of it being a customization of a pre-existing game.
Usually, Pokémon hacks have little to no change in how the layout of a city/town/character/etc looks, but this game strays from that trend. I was surprised to see Pokémon from the DS generation (Gen. 4 and 5) games, and they fit in so well, considering this ROM is meant to be played on a Gameboy Advance emulator. I love how the sprites are perfect in this ROM, and do not glitch here and there.
As for a storyline, I haven't gotten much further into the game. I spent an hour running around the area between Yellow Town and Central City (is that the correct name?)... Gotta level those Pokémon up, right? Although, at the beginning, the story seemed very interesting and had somewhat of an original concept to it. I need to play more into this game (which I definitely will) to see how the story will continue from when I started the game, but I have high hopes for it!
I would recommend this game for anyone who loves a great Pokémon hack. Who knows? Even the people who aren't that much into the Pokémon franchise might find this game to be awesome!

"Well this is a Pokémon Hack, I repeat this is a Pokémon Hack", I put alot of emphasis on that quote simply because this hack could easily be mistaken for a real Pokémon game to gamers not so familiar with the Pokémon franchise. Now I know you see alot of perfect scores of ten's in my rates for the categories but I got to say, Pokémon Light Platinum truly deserves all of those ten's out of ten's. Ok with that said Pokémon Light Platinum is by far the most well thought out and diverse Pokémon hack on the board. There is two regions(Zhery and Lauren) in the game and there is a grand total of sixteen gyms, two elite four's and if that's not enough for you two champions for each of the elite four's(eight gyms, one elite four and champion for on each region)also on a side note there are some new Hm's and TM's introduced in this hack and any TM that you receive in Lauren region from a gym leader don't delete them because you will get stuck on parts in the game if you do . Pokémon Light Platinum features Pokémon from all generations(1-5) and you can get one of each starter from every generation with the exception of generation 5, you can get all of the generation 5 starters.Oh and you will face many challenges on your new journey that begins in the Zhery region oh and also there is a all new challenge when you successfully conqueror both regions elite fours and its called the world championships!
The graphics seen in Pokémon Light Platinum, well even though on the game page it Say's the game is a Pokémon Ruby hack well the graphics certainly can't be compared to Pokémon Ruby, instead I would compare the graphics quality to DS standard and frankly I haven't seen anything like it. The camera angle on the Pokémon battles lets you see your entire Pokémon as it battles from a side view instead of the regular right up on the Pokémon(completely behind the Pokémon)point of view. The hacks creator did a excellent suburb job with the detail in creating the sprites from other Pokémon games and making them appear in this, characters like Red, Gold, Silver, the male from diamond, Steven, Cynthia, Lance, Wallace and even the sprites from Pokémon ranger as well as some new sprites like Yellow and Pearl who you will meet later on in the game and not to mention the poster boy of Pokémon him self Ash Ketchem!.The environment in the game really pops out at you and makes you feel like you are actually in the world of Pokémon, and is in breath taking color quality and it gives you a short of feeling like everything is in HD. None of the Pokémon are disfigured  or deformed and they are all accurate to what they are suppose to be, even the generation 5 Pokémon.
The Sound heard in Pokémon Light Platinum is of basic standard, nothing really special in the quality of it. The sound track is changed a little from what is expected from regular official Pokémon games and the sound track alternates throughout the game as you navigate through areas. Pokémon cries remain undisturbed(unchanged) from what they normally would be and their cries can be heard clearly with pitch perfect sound acoustics.
I was addicted to hours of non stop playing of  Pokémon Light Platinum because the story line really gets the gamer hooked right from the very beginning. With the challenges in Pokémon Light Platinum like the many multiple rivals you have and face there really isn't a dull moment, you are either battling or training. Also what had me addicted to Pokémon Light Platinum was the fact that all the Gyms were very high leveled straight from the gecko, the first gym leaders highest Pokémon was level 21, and the pace of the game is pretty fast. Also. In Pokémon Light Platinum I was always looking foreword to the next  challenge and each one was more fun and challenging then the last.
The story in Pokémon Light Platinum is very lengthy and detailed in both dialog and the events that occur. Some how the hacks creator managed to craft a story that includes every Legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise as well as every rival, and elite four champion seen in other titles all into one game and did a great job. The story goes as followed, you are a young up and coming trainer so naturally  upon turning 14 you go off to get your first Pokémon from the Pokémon professor. Now you leave your house and a stranger comes and tells you Professor Jasmine  is not in the lab but she is out and about in central city, and he offers to take you there on his Salemence. Now upon reaching the city, you see and meet Jasmine and Ash Ketchem(the world Pokémon champion). Once Ash leaves a sinister evil member of the infamous Team Steam comes and attacks the Pokémon professor and only you can come to her aid using on of her Pokémon! The game does have two regions so naturally there is another Pokémon Lab and another Pokémon professor who gives you a starter(you can get all three). So with 16 gyms, 2 elite fours , and a Grand world championships the games story is rather long but well worth seeing it all the way through and the ending will surprise you!
The depth in Pokémon Light Platinum is something else, the game has more than enough tasks for you to do and at one point a whole town is on fire and you come to help put it out. There is not only alot of stuff to do before you beat the game, there is plenty to do after. Before you beat the game you encounter many legendary Pokémon but you can't actually capture any of them until you become the world champion(you capture one in the eighth gym town in Zhery), so once you beat the game you can locate and capture all of the legendary Pokémon from seen in generations 1-5. There are 16 gyms and 2 elite fours as well as the new world championship so that can keep you busy for quite some time.
The difficulty I'm sad to say, the game wasn't as difficulty as it seems. In this hack in my opinion the weakness of  each Pokémon type were  tampered with and the weakness were made alot stronger than what they normally would be. If you had a well balanced team with different Pokémon types the game was gradually easier for you especially if your Pokémon had the type advantage over your opponents. In addition to me it felt like your Pokémon gained experience points and leveled up faster than usually compared to official games so that made the difficult kind relaxed and low as well.
Overall Pokémon light Platinum is one of the best Pokémon hacks Vizzed has to offer and I would recommend it to any fan of the Pokémon franchise both a fan of classic Pokémon and the newer fans. Pokémon Light Platinum has a  blend of Pokémon from every generation. In addiction the story was phenomenal and incredibly well thought out and it clearly shows time and effort was put in to this hack and any Pokémon fan would surely love this hack.

Pokemon Light Platinum   Black_Tornado
Story - your basically a character (I haven't played as girl yet do can't review her) who goes on a Pokémon adventure and you think you get it another typical Pokémon game where you become champ & defeat team what ever well your wrong!! This is the biggest and best Pokémon game I ever played & you can capture all legends from generations 1-4 but the problem is that it's a typical Pokémon game with a team ----- as a rivalry but still very addictive, so addictive that I didn't stop until late and my parents got angry so I calmed down and started forcing myself to stop.
Graphics - I would say that the graphics weren't the best the reason for why this has gone down is because of how every one's character looks because all  the buildings and ground look incredibly effective and then there is your character looking weirdly not that colourful making it not stand out as much.
Addictive - I wrote about addictiveness in the story but I'll talk about it again I can't handle how addictive this is because it has 2 regions & I have calmed down a lot from when I first played it.
Depth - The game as pretty big, like I said 2 regions, that is huge for a Pokémon game making it fun to play and longer.
Difficulty - The reason why difficulty is still on a medium-high level is because the rate Pokémon's come out of tall grass if you reduce that the game would became more fun but easier to complete which makes it better.
Sound - I just can't stand Pokémon game sound affects & songs so that is what took the overall down.
Overall - The game is just too awesome for me to handle & that is why I suggest you play it

A review by Arslan   Arslan
Hi guys today I am doing a review on one of the best Pokémon Hacks on Vizzed and it is Pokémon Light Platinum well lets start.
Graphics 10: This game is one of the best games ever as it clearly shows the Pokemon and you can clearly see your character and it's movements and animations which is very good in comparison with some games on the Gba so I give it a 10.
Sound 9: In every Pokemon game the sound or the theme song should be catchy as it  is in this game and it is very good plus it changes sometimes but in the Pokedex some animals have the same cries for that I am giving it a 9.
Addictiveness 8: This game is very addictive because of it's easy nature as it is easy to p[lay and win plus it also introduces some new things which makes it even more interesting to play and keep on playing but once you have finished the 2 leagues there is not much to do except the tournament of world championship so you might get bored so I give it a 8.
Story 6: Pokémon Light Platinum has an amazing story in which you start as a trainer by meeting Ash Ketchum the world champion and the current champion of the league plus the professor  you continue like this and it becomes interesting but most of it is the same as in some games so I give it a 6 as it becomes very typical at the end.
Depth 8: This game is very big as it offers you many things to do when starting like competing in 2 leagues and a world championship and also let's you catch most of the current legendaries from gen 1 to 5 but it becomes boring after the 2nd league so it is not that exciting.
Difficulty 8: The game is not that hard as you can easily level up you pokemon in the beginning and during the end your pokemon are easily strong enough for the second league so it becomes a little easy for you
as this game doesn't have that many strong battles  but some are interesting and hard so I give it a 8 in difficulty.
Overall 9.5: Overall this game is amazing and you can play it for many hours without being bored it has an amazing line of events and an interesting adventure so I think you would enjoy a lot if you played this game.
Thanks for reading please rate the review thanks.
Arslan.

Light platinum review.(Ive played though multiple times so i know what im talking about)   delirious12
Graphics: the game takes Gen 3 Pokémon graphics and makes the even better. It looks a lot more scenic and not only that but the game definitely show what they've could have done with ruby sapphire and emerald as well. Definitely so of the best graphics you will see in a hack.
Sound: it uses the same sound track from Gen 3 games so it has a great sound track with the main use of trumpets and things of that nature. Its nothing new or old so don't get to excited over it.

addictiveness: I love this game definitely one the most addictive Pokémon hacks out today. I have played through this game multiple times and I'm still not bored of it. time you play you get a different experience from it.( the bugs in this game do get annoying) if you haven't played this game yet you are missing out on a great Pokémon game!
Story: this is where the game lacks, it does have a story to it but its not all that great as other hacks such as Pokémon ash gray. Its story really isn't whats important in such a big hack. I wish they did a better story for this game it would've made the game much better.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Depth: this is the great thing about this hack it has two completed regions, 2 elite fours, and a worldwide championship for an ending not only that but, you get 10 plus  free Pokémon!!! Not only that but you get Pokémon up to 5th Gen as well. Theirs tons of legendary Pokémon to catch. You also get all of the starters while playing through the game , not only that but you will get 2 of the 5th Gen starters as well. You will not catch your self bored while playing this game!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Glitches: this is a part I added in myself since this is a Pokémon hack and more than 80% of hacks have this issue, this is the biggest suspect. You may run into several glitches such as the 6th badge glitch or the steam headquarters glitches or the Mt. Winter glitch. These are some of the biggest glitches known to man in this game. Sometimes they can be fixed by resetting the game but sometimes you have to start all the way over because of this glitch.there was also a problem with some of the Pokémon's experience that a Pokémon give you such as( venipede 400 plus at level 8 or higher) some got worse such as Meta gross giving you only 45 experience at level 50. To some people its not an issue but to me it seemed like its not right. These glitches will most likely happen while speeding through the game, stepping on the wrong tile, clicking on certain poke balls and many many other ways be careful while playing.Wait there's more! When you train up certain Pokémon such as sandile and you raise it to  a krookidile (level 35 or 40 I forgot ) the game resets it back a few levels this happens with scolipede too I have experienced this glitch while doing a nuzlocke of this game so I know from personal experience.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Difficulty: Because of the experience glitch that I had mentioned earlier  this game gets real easy.I had no issue with to many things I this game. But the level spread between gym leaders is bunched together at one point and spread out at the end not only that but, the elite four is at a much higher level than the 8th gym leader and in between victory road and the elite four there probably about 10 trainers, there not to many places you can grind in between that point so good luck with that.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Overall: this game was truly great to play through I may come back one day to play but because of all of the glitches I get little scared to play through some parts of the game which kinda scares people away. If they were to  fix the glitches this game would be a MUST PLAY but since they aren't and this is the final version I'm gonna have to give it a 8 out 10.

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   bman0010
While I liked this game, there was something about it the first time I saw it that made me me want to play it. It caught my eye when i read the title, "Pokemon Light Platinum." At first I thought it was just a version of a Pokemon game without knowing it was a hack. I started to play it when people started to tell me it was a hacked version. i was shocked to hear that because it was just as good if even better than the actual Pokemon games. But i started to play it and it got addicting very quick.
Addictiveness    For addictiveness i would give it a 10. The reason why I would give it this high of a rating is because as soon as I started playing I knew I was going to have to play it 4 more times to get the full feeling of the game.
Sound    The next thing i knew was the sound of the game. i liked how the music was compared to other games but there was a problem. Some of the Pokemon's cries weren't what they should have been. Also in some of the mountains there was no music at all. So I would give it a 6.
Graphics   After the sound was the graphics of this game. Some of the graphic were really neat. but yet again there was a problem. As most people probably knew the sprite for Arceus was messed up. Instead it is a Mienshao. Also it is vise-versa for Mienshao. So I would give it a 9.
Story
Next is the story. This game has everything. It ranges from defeating bad guys to beauty contests and background on how the Pokemon  world was born. In Pokemon Light Platinum it tells how Arceus was born, how the great dragon trio was created and for what purpose and why the trio was trying to defeat Arceus. Another cool idea they put in this game was an undercover spy theme. You got a Team Steam uniform and acted as a spy. Then you could go in there base and defeat them once and for all. But too much for this category. Overall I would give the story line a big fat 10.
Depth
What can i say about this. this entire game took me 5 days to complete (but with speed-up). Overall this game has 2 leagues for a total of 16 gyms and 10 super strong elite fours and champions. Also this game has a World Champion Cup. It took me a little while to train up for the world cup but it was worth it. Not only did i get to face my rivals again but also some very famous people from other gens like Steven and Cynthia. So for depth i give it a 10.
Difficulty
I am going to be straight up honest and say this is a 5 for difficulty. My reason to why is although the original trainers are easy the gym leaders are tough to beat. Sometimes i have to train but not much. Also later when your Pokemon are higher its easy to train with a lucky egg and beating the first elite four and champ.
Overall
It was fun playing this hack. Too bad i don't know any other games that are this good. Although some errors and glitches this game was good.

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   DanielFantasyVI
Pokémon Platinum on GBA? No, but this simply is one of the best Pokémon game I have ever played. What is out standing is IT IS ON GAME BOY ADVANCE. Yeah! You heard me right. So, this review will cover almost everything in the game (Graphics, sound, etc.). I may put some negative comments about the game but I will also put on its advantages. I am also fairly strict when it comes to the grades. Personally, if I given a 6 or 7 to the game, it means that is good and I like it. Please do not comment anything harsh because ALL of these are purely opinionated. Let's start!
Graphics-9
Personally, I would have given a perfect 10 when it comes to the graphics. Who would expect these kinds of graphics displayed on a Game Boy Advance. No kidding. But, I have noticed a few graphical issues but no worries. They don't really affect the game play. I like almost everything in this game's graphics as it is like of Platinum, Pearl, and Diamond. The striking colors also caught my eye. Overall, the graphics of this game is very outstanding and is utterly well-done.
Sound-7
Even though the music and sounds mostly came from hoenn (excluding cries of many Pokémon), it still has great music. The music is soothing and its genre is one of my favorites. I still love the Classics :) . I would have rated a way higher grade (Possible 8 or 9) but I have noticed some errors regarding the cries of some Pokémon. I perfectly understand that creating a game like this is hard, especially for me who does not know anything about stuff like these so I gave a higher grade. It was supposed to be 6 but I changed my mind. Anyways, the sounds of this game is still pretty good.
Addictiveness-9
Now, compared to the other Pokémon games, this is addicting because it features a wide array of Pokémon, a lot of locations, a lot of quests and a long story. These are what I'm looking for if I want to play it again. Come on! Who would get addicted to a game with a short story and bad graphics? I guess a tiny minority of people will. Anyways, it actually took me 4 days to finish the first half of the game. It is perfectly challenging which got me addicted to the game. I may have a different insight to the game but all of the things I said is pretty much my opinion regards the game.
Story-8
Like what I said previously, it has a long story. I wont spoil any of the game's contents so it is up to you to find out. :)
Depth-9
The game has an awful lot of things to offer. An awful lot. As I said, it has a large array of Pokémon, a lot of locations, a lot of quests and a long story. What's more is that the Pokémon there have a wide gap between levels which really gives a large boost when it comes to the challenge that the game has. You have to put a lot of time and effort to this game and patience is the key. It also gives you a lot to do. Again, I won't spoil anything to you :P . Overall, this game is a marvel. I encourage everyone to try it out. :)
Difficulty-7
Like what I stated a while ago in this review, this game takes a lot of time to beat because it is challenging. I mean the controls are easy but the game itself is hard. It took me a lot of time to get the hang of this game because it has a lot of things to do and there is a wide gap of Pokémon levels. You could also get confused. But, even though the game is hard, this game surely is a marvel. That is all that I have to say.
Overall-9.4
This game truly is a piece of art. Even though there are some minor glitches here and there, this game is TOTALLY worth the time and effort. My only comment for the game is to fix some bugs and glitches but it doesn't really matter, :)
This is the end of my review. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reply to this post or send a private message to me (DanielFantasyVI). I will try to answer everything the best I could. Thank you for reading this review. :D : :D

Pokemon Light Platinum   wicked-pyper-le..
I have played many Pokémon game in my lifetime and most of them were old and someone boring considering the new advances we have had in these past years and so far I would say that this game is one of the few that I could continue to play for hours with no end in site. There are however some small glitches in this game that can be a bit of a Debbie downer. Example- Sometimes if you are in Groment City and you leave the gym to heal, it may not let you back in or it may not let you leave the gym once your in it. Small things like this can really ruin ones gaming experience but please don't let this inconvenience you into playing this outstanding game. Trust me when I tell you that you will not be disappointed when you play this game, no in fact you may just want to tell your friends afterwards just so you have someone to talk to about this game.
GraphicsI have to say that the graphics are one of the best points about this game. They are colorful and vibrant, which makes looking at the game a lot better. If you were to play the first Pokémon game ever made and then played this right after I can almost guarantee you that this game will be the one you pick to play every time. There will be some moments during the game that the color may change for a second or your Pokémon will do a command but may look like a different Pokémon, these are little things you must over look to fully enjoy this game.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Sound: At some point during the game my sound went a little haywire now I am not sure if this was due to my computer or the game so if your music sounds and works fine then please disregard this small notion. I found the sound to be good yet I never want to hear that music again(just kidding) but most of the music in video games tends to get some what on your nerves considering how long you may play it or if you even have to sound on. However for a Pokémon game I would say that the music fits and does have a nice little tune that I can live with.                                                                                                                                                                                                            Addictiveness: To say that all games are addicting is just a lie! The only games that are addicting are the best ones. This game is one of those games I could just not stop playing. I have only played it once don't get me wrong or anything but as soon as I started I couldn't stop, all the towns and new Pokémon plus other things you may wish to do. To have a game were you never want to stop playing is an awesome game and I feel everyone should try this game at least once and tell me that its not as addictive as candy!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Story: Most Pokémon games have the same basic outline when it comes to a story line. Get all 8 gym badges, defeat enemy, defeat rival, defeat elite four and finally become world champion. Basic and somewhat lame and boring if you ask me but considering when most of these games came out I don't blame them for lack of imagination. However in this game they add little twists and characters. Yes it of course has the basic story line of defeating enemies and friends but that has to be there or else it would be a cheap rip of Pokémon and not an awesome Pokémon hack like it is. So for those of you out there who want the same yet different Pokémon experience then I suggest this game to you.
Depth: Beating any game can take some time and effort into beating and this game is no exception.  Even though it only took me about 5 days to beat the story line there is still so much to be done that I don't think I will ever been done. So many Pokémon to catch generations 1-5 I do believe and that is just so much work in itself. Plus you have more then one rival so there is always someone to battle. I am going to have to say that this game does have a lot to offer but only if your willing to put in the effort.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Difficulty: When I first started I felt that this game was almost too difficult for me to handle but after about the 3rd or so gym you get use to seeing high level Pokémon and trainers. Most Pokémon games have it easy when it comes to random trainers but this game makes them look like mini-leaders! I almost quit when I went up against the Elite Four, they were so hard but you just have to remember to train really hard and to not slack off. After you beat this game a couple times I would say that it must get easier and you will at least know where everything is.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 P.S- If my review seems messed up in anyway or if you can't read something that I have posted please let me know so I can attempt if not fully fix the issue, Thank You!

Pokemon Light Platium Review   MegaCobraEye
OVERALL---10
Pokémon light platinum is a great game and is superior to other Pokémon hacks. The game had now major flaws and very few minor bugs, none to make the game bad. From characters to a new region, the flaws stayed minor and the excitement was everywhere along the journey. The overall quality of the game is great, the creator took a long time making it and adding new towns, story, characters, and even a new region. It is a well deserved 10 out of 10 and even superb to other Pokémon games

GRAPHICS---9
The game has superb graphics and animations for characters and new intractable things in the world. With some re textured objects  (though not obvious) it was a new look to Pokémon. To me it was a Gen 4 hack with Gen 3 graphics and a few Gen 5 features. I loved the amazing graphics to overall story.
SOUND---8
The sound is good with the music, cries, and interacting with objects, although sometimes when a generation 4+ Pokémon evolves sometimes the evolution cry  is off, the game is however, is a game created with Gen 3 leading overall with Gen 4 having a tad bit to do with it and does include Gen 5 mechanics too such as animations, sounds, Pokémon, and more.
ADDICTIVENESS---10
This game is very addicting in so many ways like with a rich new story and a new region ( many hacks create new regions but all are inferior to Light Platinum's region) I played for hours and loved every minute of it, getting so many free Pokémon including starters, This is a well deserved 10 out of 10 if I could I would rate addictiveness 100+ this is by far the most addictive Pokémon game ever ( might even be in top 100 in terms of every game ever).
STORY---9
I loved the story  and have seen  have seen many YouTube LP's doing speed runs to solo Pokémon runs. The story is great along with team steam and offering Pokémon to you such as so many great Pokémon so early to you and  meeting protagonists from other generations, the story is a solid 9 and a well deserved one too.

DEPTH---7
The game is great with catching many Pokémon and offers so much, until beating the champion, there could have been more after game features, aside from catching legendary Pokémon, and leveling, but did have great story leading up to the finish. Could have been better but then again he made the game from almost scratch making characters, story, gyms, cities and towns, and a whole new region so it was great and no hate to the creator.
DIFFICULTY---6
The game was somewhat difficult if you did not grind at points. Team steam leaders and gym leaders in my onion were easy, but wild Pokémon and trainers were difficult, so grinding was almost a must. It was definitely harder the normal Pokémon games and way more fun too. I would play this over and other Pokémon game any day.

Pokemon Light Platinum   UnholyMecca
Starting off just as many Pokemon games before it, I opened the screen to find a basic tutorial. While many hacks do not provide this option, Light Platinum does so and rather than detracting from the value, it makes it feel like a genuine Pokemon game. We are given the standard options for male or female and name selection and an introduction from the Professor. All of these add to the feeling of nostalgia that many older players seek.
Without revealing any spoilers, the plot starts out with our character being one of only two known people able to read a language dubbed "Alpha." The Professor sends for the player to help her decipher a series of ancient texts written in the language. After reading, we are accosted by the newest series of villains that are all essentially copies of Team Rocket. The Professor asks us to dig into her bag to select a Pokemon to defend her with. Lo and behold, our choices are the classic Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. This was a beautiful moment for me and brought back memories of when I had played the original games thirteen years ago.
After defeating our foes, the Professor asks us to go and find Professor Oak for some menial task. This is not the first time Oak has appeared in a Pokemon game, but regardless it felt wonderful to see the old man again. Upon reaching him, we see him explaining a breed of Pokemon to another young trainer shortly before being attacked by them. Our job as guardian is once again called upon and we are forced to defend Professor Oak. Here, we have our first event Pokemon - you can make the target Pokemon faint or capture the rare breed; the choice is yours.
After a few more minutes of fetch-quests, we find Professor Oak in the radio station, giving us and our soon-to-be rival our PokeDex. Now, here's the kicker. Light Platinum makes it clear that if you want to discover everything, you have to talk to the characters present in the game. If you speak to Professor Oak rather than leaving to continue the story, he offers you one of three rare Pokemon that you may recognize from the Second Generation: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile. Some of the more recent Pokemon games have encouraged exploration via semi-rare items, but Light Platinum actually rewards us with what we all really want.
From there, I took the time to explore Central City rather than choosing to continue the story. The Safari Zone and a competition area were both early surprises, as well as a random man near a random building offering us a free Growlithe. Dozens of Pokemon appear throughout the early areas, offering us our choice of a team. Rather than going with the strongest or the rarest I found, I chose to focus my efforts into a Poison-centered team. Both the male and female Nidorans, found in the Safari Zone, were on my team, as well as a Dustox, Croagunk, and an Oddish. Of course, I also had Charmander, who had been my starter.
I have played hacks of the Pokemon games before, but heretofore I had been largely unimpressed with them. Light Platinum offers a depth and immersion rarely seen in the games, especially in the hacks. One of my biggest complaints about each of the games so far has been that none of my friends play it, so I have never been able to capture every Pokemon.
From the beginning of the game, it is made clear that this is not the case. Having only played for an hour or so, I discovered more Pokemon than I could actually catch. There are even special events where you can capture rare Pokemon and I discovered at least one "free" Pokemon handed to me by an NPC. One of my favorite discoveries was that early in the game, you even have access to the Safari Zone at the cost of 500 PokeCash, wherein I discovered Pokemon from almost every Generation.
One of the biggest selling points of the game, at least in what little experience I had, was the inclusion of characters from past games and the television show. Ash Ketchum makes an appearance, as does my personal favorite character: Red, from Pokemon Red and Blue. Whether or not any of these characters will be present later in the game or included in the plot is up in the air, but at the very least it gave me a warm sensation to see them present at all.
I have but two complaints. In the beginning of the game, we are given the standard 5 PokeBalls. I assumed that upon completion of the beginning of the game, as with all the other Pokemon games, the PokeMarts would offer the option to buy more. I never traveled outside of Central City, but in spite of conquering the early game, the PokeMart never gave me the option to buy more. Whether that is an intentional feature or glitch, I was severely disappointed. Just in the first hour of the game, there are at least a few dozen possible Pokemon to catch. Once you have used up your measly five, you are forced to watch the rest pass you by and hope that you can return at a later date. Not to mention the special Pichu that appeared that I was unable to catch because of that flaw, which only served to add to my frustration. In spite of this, the exploratory options are phenomenal. I can not stress quite enough what a thrill it was to see Pokemon from every Generation in just the small portion of the game that I explored. I admit to be addicted; though I did not save my game, I will absolutely be returning to Light Platinum to explore it at full length when I have more time.
Another surprising feature was the difficulty. Even in the early stages, it quickly becomes clear that you will actually have to take the time to train your Pokemon rather than rushing through in a speed-play. Some of the early trainers knocked out half my party, putting me on the defensive without ever breaking a sweat. If you want to survive the game, you will most definitely have to put some effort into both the game and your Pokemon.
The music was nothing to write home about; standard Pokemon game themes prevailed and annoyed me, leaving me with a very specific headache that I attribute to these games.
Overall, Pokemon Light Platinum was a refreshing change of pace and I recommend it to anyone wanting a different experience.

Great Game   bullforce
Graphics
Pokemon Light Platinum has some awesome aspects to it. I'll start with the graphics. The graphics in this game are basically the same as any other generation three Pokemon game, with a few variances. I love some of the new art for the Pokemon however. The cities and buildings are still basically the same. The only real difference is how it has done some of the bikes and other items that show up outside of the menu. In fact they have even gone to the point of changing them to where they are actually part of the entire game plot. All in all the graphics are pretty good for a Pokemon game.
Sound
The sound is pretty much the exact same as any other Pokemon game, which I personally have never really been all that fond of. I generally just mute the game and put on my own music when I play.
Addictiveness
Just like any other Pokemon game, it's very addictive. However, I would say that this one kind of tops it off a little bit more. Between having Pokemon from all 5 different current generations, and the amazing story line, it gives you an experience that none of the others ever could. This game allows you to catch and train far more types of Pokemon, and gives you a much bigger variety of what you can use in your ultimate team. I know I personally like to do things different each time I play, and this game allows me to do just that. With hundreds of different Pokemon to choose from, and several just plain being given to you, it really never gets boring. And we can't forget about the story line. The new evil "Team" is much more fun to take down, not to mention you get to see various legendary Pokemon through out the game while foiling their plans.
Story
As I said in the addictiveness section, the story line is incredible. Before I go into it though, this section will have a lot of spoilers, so if you want to find out the story line for yourself, don't read this section. It doesn't even start off slow like most Pokemon games, you are immediately thrown into it with the knowledge that you alone can read an ancient text that your father taught you. Then from that ability you find out that one of the Legendary Pokemon is actually the creator of the Universe, and all it's inhabitants. From there it goes back to the somewhat slow start of training your Pokemon and going to the first city that has a gym, with a few interesting bits along the way. You save Professor Oak, save an entire forest of bugs, and even get to save a little Pichu on your way to the first gym. Not to mention the various rivals you make. Overall the first part of the game is very interesting, yet at the same times it's very similar to other Pokemon games. You are on a journey to beat the Pokemon League of a certain country, defeating an evil organization and saving the world along the way. However one of the great parts about this game, is all the side ordeals. In this game... it really is the little things that count. Not to mention there are so many different things to do. After you complete the first League, just like in normal Pokemon games, there is a second League that you can face. You still get to face off against some of the remaining team members that you demolished in the first half, but this half has a lot more side missions that aren't related to the evil team. After your done with that League... you're still not done. You have the World Championship where you get to face off against Ash Ketchum, the primary star of the anime, for the title of the best Pokemon trainer in the World. Overall this game has an incredible story line and never really gets dull.
Depth
This game, for the most part is very similar to other Pokemon games in terms of depth. However it still offers quite a bit more then the others. It has Pokemon from all 5 generations, which that alone, for the people that like to catch and train every Pokemon, offers a massive increase to the amount of time it will take to finish the game. Also, unlike other Pokemon games, this one allows you to catch over 30 different legendary Pokemon, beating the current record of only 5 or 6 without having to trade with another game. Besides that, there are really three different ultimate story lines in the game, allowing the person to get a full feel for the full story line.
Difficulty
The difficulty of this game is the same as any other Pokemon game, the more work you put into training your team, the easier it will be. However it is very beginner friendly as there are several instances where you are simply given a free Pokemon to help you out in your journey.

Pokemon: Light Platinum Review   Brackenstream
So I began playing this hack after reading a couple of reviews that held it in high esteem and described how great it was. I decided to check it out and started up a new game, ready to take on this new challenge. I was both disappointed and yet very pleased at what I saw.
GRAPHICS:
I gave the graphics a nine because, personally, this is one of the nicest-looking hacks I have ever come across. There are custom-made sprites for the protagonist Trainers, and even for some of the gym leaders and main antagonists. Even the baddies, Team Steam, have their own custom design, which I thought was pretty interesting. The towns are pleasing and nice to look at, the cities are large and fun to explore, and they're all original and don't seem to share any traits with other towns, let alone the occasional familiar house or building, such as the lighthouse in Seanport resembling that of Olivine City's. Other than the minor slip-up where the graphics don't look nearly as nice as I would want them to -- which is pretty much perfect, at this point -- I'm pretty much nitpicking for a reason to name the graphics bad. These graphics are beautiful and original and catch your eye, and they're probably the best thing about this hack, and I'm very impressed by what was accomplished.
SOUND:
To be perfectly honest, I played this game with the sound off. This isn't because the audio was bad or anything, no, it's simply a preference of mine, and I'd much rather listen to my own music. That aside, I listened to the audio for five minutes in the beginning, and the music was fine. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad either. I gave this section an eight because there's really not much you can do with the sound in general, and if someone managed to make their own remixes of the Pokemon soundtracks, I'd be really pleasantly surprised. Let's move on to the bad parts. A few of the newer generation Pokemon -- I noted Starly and Bidoof, but there may be others I didn't pick up -- didn't have their usual cries. Starly, I remember, didn't sound like itself, and had the cry of, perhaps, a Spearow instead of a Starly. It got a tad annoying after a bit of grinding against Starly and listening to the wrong sound over and over again, but if you don't grind or if it doesn't bother you much, it won't be that big of a problem.
ADDICTIVENESS:
Frankly, this wasn't my favorite hack ever. There are other games that I would prefer over this one, but that's my own preference, so don't take that into your consideration for playing this game. By all means, try it out -- perhaps you'll enjoy it more than I did, but, really, I wouldn't play over this game again. If I were bored and had nothing else to do I might derp around in the world and mess things up once I finished the game, but at the beginning the wild Pokemon are either too strong to grind against or too weak, so it's no fun to fight because you either get minimal experience or none at all as all of the Pokemon you're trying to level faint. Not to mention that there are scant amounts of healing items, so you have to make a quick dash to the Pokemon Center every time one of your Pokemon faint, and sometimes that's a pretty far dash. All in all, I gave the addictiveness a five because, really, I wouldn't play this game through the storyline again, but I wouldn't mind bumping around after I've finished.
STORY:
The story was another reason why I really enjoyed this game. The creator of this hack made a real effort into creating a nice rounded-out world where the main antagonists had a reasonable idea for a plot. The plot in this said hack is mostly about the main baddies, Team Steam, getting the Red Orb and the Blue Orb in order to rouse the legendary Pokemon. Which Pokemon, you don't learn about until later, but it's similar to the storyline of R/S/E, if you couldn't tell already. Nonetheless, the story isn't so similar that it disrupts the gameplay, and this being a hack of Ruby, it's probably only obvious you'd get a similar storyline, so I'm not going to beat down on that too much. The story did keep me interested, and the amount of Trainers I had to battle in order to get through the plot definitely helped to level up my Pokemon for the next gym, considering the wild Pokemon were of no use.
DEPTH:
The depth of this game was large and yet minimal at the same time. While the world was very large and very easy and fun to explore, and the towns and cities were interesting enough to keep me drawn in for a few minutes -- usually ten at a time -- it quickly became boring as I realized that a lot of the NPCs said the same things and had the same exact Pokemon by their sides. Sure, the latter happened often in the real Pokemon games as well, but I was expecting a bit more from this hack, which has impressed me pretty much by far. The NPCs saying the same things probably shouldn't have bothered me as much as it did, but I'm a completionist, and tend to talk to everyone to check for items and Pokemon I might have missed, and having everyone say the same thing to me every three people got a bit boring and slow after a few. Having random people give you Pokemon was a nice touch, and my team was pretty much full by the time I got to the third town. I liked having people give you Pokemon because I, personally, have always enjoyed having exotic 'Mon that keep the game interesting. Some of the interactions -- like the Safari Zone -- were broken and unusable, but nonetheless added an air of completion to the game, despite their being unable to work. Perhaps that will be fixed in the future.
DIFFICULTY:
This game is extremely difficult. I will tell you that right now, this game is very, very hard. You need to either be a Pokemon master or grind until your hands are sore in order to be the same level as the Pokemon Trainers that face you. At least that was my experience. Every Pokemon Trainer has a minimum of four Pokemon, save for a couple Team Steam members, and healing items are very hard to come across. The Trainers give you very minimal currency, so you can't buy too many healing objects -- or any other objects at a time, to be honest -- without running out of money. You might need to sell some important things, like TMs, in order to get the amount of currency needed to buy five Hyper Potions. Speaking of Potions, the Marts go from selling Potions to selling Hyper Potions in the blink of an eye. From one town to the other the expenses quickly go up. The Marts sell Poke Balls and Potions in the first town, and Hyper Potions and Ultra Balls in every town after that. There is a spot where you can buy MooMoo Milks for a decent price, and that place has pretty much been my savior. The Trainers that you battle also have a ton of Super Potions and use them just as often as the Gym Leaders do in the real Pokemon games, which can get awfully frustrating at times. Not to mention they use battle enhancers as well, and the Dire Hits really strike home. Not to mention, you have four different rivals -- Kenta, Red, and two others whose names I've forgotten -- who battle you on a whim at the end of almost every route, when your Pokemon are tired and cranky from having to battle the overpowered Trainers in your wake. Usually you're defeated and you're brought back to the Pokemon Center, in which you'll have to dart back to where your rival had challenged you. It's not as difficult as it is increasingly frustrating when you think you're so close to the Pokemon Center, only to be jumped by one of your four rivals. It's also very time consuming to have to white out and then run all the way through the route back to where you were originally challenged.
All in all, this is a very well-made hack that is only for the most die-hard Pokemon fans, and for those who think they can accept a little challenge. A lot of patience and a strict tolerance for unfair battles is needed, not to mention strong Pokemon and a desire for grinding. It's a fun game, but if you're anything like me, you'll have to take a break every fifteen minutes to avoid smashing your desktop screen in frustration. I recommend you give this game a try, as it is fun, and the challenging aspect makes it interesting to try and maneuver through, but don't continue playing it if you think you're going to kill someone. I gave this game an eight-point-five because, honestly, it was interesting and very fun to play until things started getting difficult. Give this game a whirl because, most likely, you won't regret it. Every experience is worth it, in my opinion, and this game is no exception. If GameFreak made a game much like this, I would buy it, even though the difficulty makes me want to strike my monitor.

Pokemon Light Platinum is a GREAT hack!   Luxray45
Pok?mon Light Platinum is such a great hack to play. It's not a challenging game if you know what you are doing. I'm giving this game a 10 overall because this Pokémon game seems to be more popular amongst the other Pokémon games on this website. I'm giving this game an 8 for the graphics because I personally think the graphics could be better in some parts, but the graphics are pretty great overall. I'm giving sound a 9 because the game audio itself is spot on and personally great. I haven't experienced a sound glitch while playing Light Platinum so the sound was a pretty good factor for the game. Addictiveness gets a big, fat 10 not only because it's popular amongst the other Pokémon games on this site but lots of people like to play this game every time they get on this website. Light Platinum is really popular and most people have gotten this specific game on an emulator called "Visual Boy Advance" which is a Game boy Advance emulator. The light platinum storyline gets a 10 because throughout the game, there is lots to offer. For example, After beating the Zhery league, you get to head to the Lauren Region, Take on 8 more gyms to fight the Lauren Elite 4. There's more to offer in this game like free Pokémon and more rivals to fight. Pokémon Light Platinum has a really good storyline. I love it. Depth of this game gets a 9. Pokémon Light Platinum does take a while to beat, but it's worth it because this is a pretty popular Rom hack of Pokémon. If you like to play a pretty long Pokémon hack, Light Platinum is just for you. Last but not least, Difficulty. Difficulty gets an 4 because trainers in this game may be easy, but when you face the first Pokémon League, you are SO in for a challenge. The champion is VERY tough. I mean it. I love me a good challenge at Pokémon Leagues. The controls for this game are not really confusing. Controls for this game gets a 3 just cause the controls are not hard at all to figure out.

Easily my favorite Pokemon Hack on this site   Gnoggles
For whatever reason I have put off giving this game a try for quite some time but I am SO HAPPY I finally gave it a shot. This game is probably easier than any other Pokémon game I've played but it also does not lose my interest. Being able to do things like have a Charizard and a Feraligator on the same team without going out of your way to import anything into your game is so great, and the way the game is set up it's easy for you to get Pokémon that need to be evolved through trade. This game is the perfect study break and I am very likely to replay it whenever it's Midterms/Finals.

My 2nd Review of the Year   DittoDude44
Here I am with a Pokemon Light Platinum. Hopefully this review is longer than the one I just made of Pokemon Crystal, However, I'm not going to run my mouth a lot, so here we go...
Pokemon Light Platinum-
I have to say, this is one of the hacks that really stands out from all of the other pokemon roms/ hacks here on vizzed. This amazing hack had 5th generation pokemon in it, and this hack is big, I will tell you now, this is my favorite game here on vizzed. This hack is brilliant, with an all new storyline, and pokemon from all generations, and he even put 4th generation graphics in this hack! Now you are impressed. Not impressed? Read on.
Well, I'll tell you the pros and cons of this game.
Pros
4th generation graphics
barely any glitches
all generation pokemon
everything else
Cons
nothing :D
Okay, now that is done, I will now move on with all the categories.
Graphics - 10 - Rating - Perfect
I really liked the graphics of this game, he used the same tiles from the Sinnoh region! I do not know how he could of done DS graphics to a GBA game, but that is awesome of him. He clearly put a lot of time and work into making the graphics so realistic. I give him a lot of credit on the graphics.
Now, the sound.
Sound - 3 - Rating - SEIRIOUSLY?!?!
The sound is the only bad thing about this game - it is the exact same of the pokemon Ruby. But it is a hack of ruby, so I can't really blame him for it.
Addictiveness- 10 - Rating - Megawesomeazing!
I play this game almost all day, every day on my VBA too. No matter what, I almost always have a VBA playing pokemon light platinum in it. I think this game is really addicting.
Now for the Difficulty!
The game is challenging. And I like challenging games. This game is hard, he made a lot of the trainers hard. The chanpion has pokemon level 70! But do not worry, there is a lot more stuff you can do in the beginning for training. Oh, did I mention route one? The first trainer, he has some venipedes that give a lot of exp, but if you picked Charmander and the little guy is only level 5, you are most likely going to lose. There is some trainers on route one with 5 pokemon! Again, do not worry, they are pretty much Spearows and Pidgeys and Caterpies. The Safari Zone is in Central City, which will be an advantage to get some tough pokemon early in the game, but he lowered the levels.
Wow that was a lot to say.
Storyline - 10 - Rating -Awesome!
The game features an all new storyline, which is a good thing because you do not see much hacks with an all new story line very much anymore. The game also features a new evil team, and tat evil team in this game is called Team Steam! They have a good plot, too, but I am not going to mention it here, takes too long, but I will tell you ahead of time, it is good all right!
Wrap things Up -
Well, I think this game is great, and I recommend this game if you are looking for a challenging game.
That concludes this review! Bye! :)

Top-notch hacking.   iN008
Light Platinum - Pokemon Ruby Hack.
A review by iN008.
Genius hacker WesleyFG.
When WesleyFG set out to create a marvel of a hack, he succeeded in so many ways, he became a phenomenon of a hacker. Be it his complete graphical overhaul to the whole gameplay changes his effort can be seen in ever town, route and cave. So why is this hack so widely popular? Amongst many communities it has been praised as one of the best hacks out there. So the question remains, why so popular? Well it could be the total revamp, or the feeling of a Pokemon world that Game Freak and Nintendo just never gave us.
The hack you know has many things changed, from graphical changes, story revamp, enhancements to Pokemon, Pokedex roaster changes and even difficulty in general. Almost every change is for the better and that is what I personally like about this hack, it takes what is good about Pokemon, revamps and perfects it without ruining the general feel you get from a Pokemon game, dare I say this hack goes as far as trumping some of the official titles. So shall I get into it then? Or shall I continue to ramble?
Graphics and Design : 10/10
Oh god what can I even say here? The whole game's graphics are completely revamped and for the better as the games set in Hoenn were known for looking quite shabby, heck I even mentioned this in my recent Pokemon Ruby review which you can go check out. Now as stated due to the fact that the original games graphics were quite shabby the hack really did impress as the graphics looked so much better in comparison, let me go into a bit more detail on what I mean.
Starting off the character sprites are quite impressive. The main characters look pretty cool and to be honest I actually prefer them over the Ruby choices, although they are not the best characters I've seen they are the best up until this system. Other characters such as the trainers scattered across the two regions are also very good, WesleyFG kept to a high standard when creating these sprites and I'm glad he did as it set quite the impressive impression. Attacks look top notch and keep to the standard of Game Freak. The Pokemon themselves look incredibly good, for example compressing the newer fourth Gen+ Pokemon into a smaller size and still make them fit in was done very well, heck they look like they were on the Game Boy Advance originally.
The town layouts are extremely well done in my opinion, they remind me heavily of that of Heart-Gold and Soul-Silver, games a whole generation ahead of this which is by no means an easy feet with the limitations of the Game Boy Advance. The tile-set itself looks the smoothest and most nice and clean of any hack I have played to date. The colors are so much more appealing, indoors and outdoors it just brings me joy, it's that good. Heck for once I don't mind being in caves for a long time, it just adds so much to a hack already brimming with excellency.
Other things of note are the "cut-scenes" these including the opening being changed and the introductory "dream" your character has are pretty fantastic, not only do I rarely see this done, I'm quite sad that it isn't done as often as it happens in this hack. Overall I would say my favorite aspect from graphics and design would have to be the revamped tile-set because that is just perfecto and it's just amazing in my opinion.
Sound : 7/10
The sounds within the game are rarely changed and pretty much stay true to the original game, to be honest I can't really say it was much of a change. The music within the game is pretty much the same as in Ruby, the music is very nice and enjoyable and to be perfectly honest the Game Boy Advance wasn't know for anything spectacular. The music is calming, soothing and keeps the original charm as it is practically unchanged, however the hack does use the music more effectively than the original. Starting off is the fact that the music suits the location almost ninety-five percent of the time. This was a big improvement as I felt that the original didn't do it to the same standard, again it was an appreciated change much like the tile-set change. As per other sounds, attacking sounds stay relatively the same and are just as satisfying to hear. The main change really is Pokemon cries, these were added for post third Gen Pokemon and I feel the downsize was done really well. Since the hack uses the same music as in Ruby and Sapphire if you want more details on what I think of it then go read my Ruby review, that is all I am going to say for sound.
Addictiveness and Replay-ability : 10/10
Dare I say this hack is better than the original? This hack keeps the amazing addictiveness of the originals and amplifies it by ten, not only does it offer more replay-ability than the franchise it's based off, but it offers one of the best experiences you will earn from a hack. The game is very lengthy, being two regions altogether, also with the addition of the tournament it allowed for a much longer play-span. Heck I honest feel as maxing your team and trying the game over with a different team is far more rewarding in comparison to Ruby. The experience offered is so satisfying as it allows for such a replay-ability that you can just go back to the hack whenever you want something to do. Starting with a whole new team allows you to have a brand new experience as the game is a lot harder than the original and can offer a better challenge. The hack just offers so much to do and has such a vast array of areas to explore and adventure throughout. The hack just kept me playing, and playing and playing... I couldn't stop after a while. It was just an enjoyable experience and really opened my mind up to the hacks. I could play this game for over an hour at a time, it just kept my attention going. So yes I do think it deserves just as high a rating as the source material as it was just as good, heck as I said, it is probably better than the original.
Depth : 10/10
This game.... has so much depth, if it were a pool, you could dive 100 feet under and then some. Be it the great length or the choices presented to you, this game always does something right. The hack itself is probably twice as long as the original game, and I said Ruby was of Decent length after all. Also as I said the game offers only what you take, be it maxing your team up or keep them just above average, you've definitely still got some road to go until you beat the game regardless of what team you pick and how hard you train them. The hack offers a superior experience when compared to the source material Ruby and it's length is basically up to you, after all the game is very long and you can decide when to stop. Completing that pokedex will surely keep you busy if you intend to go for a "completion" of the hack. Each little thing adds a lot to the length and your play-through time can easily rise fast if you don't know what your doing. The game is just packed-full of choice, the way you train your pokemon, EVs or not. Or if you breed or not, it's all in the time you invest into the game, sure you won't find a solid copy of this hack but you can always show off to your fellow community. Your experience is literally what you make of it. No less no more. I can say without a doubt that your experience playing this hack will be like nothing a official Game Freak developed game has ever offered you, heck I will even go as far as saying that the experience is just as good if not slightly better than what you got out of Heart-Gold and Soul-Silver.
Story : 10/10
I really don't want to spoil anything in this fantastic hack so I'm going to avoid pointing out plot details but I will say this, the story is way better than that of Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and even Emerald. Not only do you travel across two region you have a total of eight "rivals", there is two Poke-Profs, a whole new team and a much better plot. I really can't say how much I liked the story when I'm trying to avoid saying anything that might spoil it. So this is how I'll phrase it. Play the game and find out how good the story is in comparison to Ruby and etc. that is all I want to say on this.
Difficulty : 7/10
The hack makes the game much more challenging when compared to the source. It really does do something else. Although the fact still remains that the difficulty is ultimately up to you. You could try with a team of stragglers, which in this case would be much more difficulty than in ruby, or a standard and above team. Honestly the difficulty was a much needed addition, Pokemon games are generally known for being easy for all ages, however bigger fans like the challenge and many resort to hacks for this, and guess what this hack delivers. The gameplay stays pretty similar to the original game besides the slight difficulty boost, some Pokemon stats and moves were changed but it was still easy to handle. The location and gym design were pretty good and it really did keep to a great standard through-out the game, some bits confused me a times, however I quickly figured them out. Battles are significantly more interesting as trainers actually do more intelligent moves instead of the spam of growls that would commonly occur in the original. Besides that nothing else was really changed all that much, the gameplay was solid and the battles were far more enjoyable.
I will say this, I actually found myself EV training in this game, usually I would just level normally when playing casually but I really found it more beneficial as I used a tank like Pokemon to start with every match. Although EV training is not needed I did find it helpful for getting through with lower leveled Pokemon. And another thing I found myself doing was retracing myself to see if I missed anything, I'm going to be perfectly honest here this may just be me but this is the first Pokemon game/hack that I have ever done this in. Perhaps a whole new adventure is much more exciting to find something new in.
Overall : 9/10
This hack is definitely deserving it's title of one of the best hacks ever. Not only is the game enjoyable, it's exciting to play with-out knowing whats going to happen this definitely was the best thing for me. The 17th of August (UK) marks the completion of this game for me (story) and I found my time spent worth ever second. If you want to play one of the best hacks out there, this is definitely the hack for you. I feel as if I'll come back to this hack some day, and enjoy it just as much as I did recently, but until then Pokemon Light Platinum is obviously deserving of the 9/10 rating.

Amazing hack   Mutantrabies
I have played many Pokémon games on my Game boy, DS, and Vizzed, and I have to say, this is probably the best one I have played. After coming very close to completing this game, I already know that it is almost flawless. So, lets get to the ratings.
Graphics: 7
The graphics in this hack were quite similar to most Pokémon games, but the sprites for many of the newer edition Pokémon were amazing. I always completely forget that this is on GBA because of how great the graphics were. The numerous cities and towns looked great, each with its unique design with the houses, and the inside of the gyms and caves looked smooth and nice. So, I rated the graphics a 7 because it looked like most Pokémon games for the most part, but it had many unique features.
Sounds: 10
Unlike many people I know, I absolutely love the music in Pokémon games. I think its so catchy and fun and I love listening to it while I play. Its the only reason I will stop the speed up during my playing. Yes, I speed up my game almost all the time. It is the same as most Pokémon games, but I just absolutely love it. It deserves a 10
Addictiveness: 9
I played this game for so many hours over the time of so many days because I just love it. I know any Pokémon lover will come back to this game again and again, like I did. I guess there's not a whole lot else to say, other than you will come back to this game again and again. It deserves a 9.
Story: 9
I'm saying sorry in advance because this next part of my review may have a few spoilers, so if you don't want to know what happens because you haven't played the game yet, you might not want to read this part. The story in this hack was very well done. With Team Steam trying to capture Arceus and them appearing all over the place, it made the story very good. It made it even better when they were really easy to beat so you got lots of extra levels :P. There were some parts that angered me, like Zero beating me in the Distortion World so I couldn't catch Girantina, but there were also some parts that made me excited, like when I would beat the leaders, then got to watch Arceus stop the battles between many other legendaries. All in all, I gave the story a 9.
Depth: 9
I think that this game had more depth than most of the games I have played. It has 2 regions! How can a Pokémon game with 2 sets of gyms and Elite Four not be deep? Plus, you can get almost every Pokémon, from the Kanto region to the Unova region. There's always more Pokémon to catch, or somewhere new that you can travel. I thought that because of this, I should give it a 9.
Difficulty: 6
To wrap up this review, we will end on difficulty. I thought this game wasn't too hard, but it wasn't that easy either. Many of the gym leaders and Team Steam leaders had very high levels, and most of the time they were higher levels than I had. Even though this is the case, the game made sure there were many battles and long routes to train your Pokémon to get ready for it. I mean, the first gym had level 20s. That doesn't happen in many Pokémon games, but it was okay in this game because I got lots of battles and things to level up my Pokémon to get ready for the battle. I thought that it should get a 6, since it wasn't too hard but it wasn't super easy either.
So that's my review for this hack. I think it's very well done and I strongly recommend this game to anyone who loves a good Pokémon game. If this was bad, I apologize, it's my first review of a game. But stop judging my reviewing skills and go play this awesome game!

Nice Game   Skickers
This game was very enticing...it is very passable as a new Pokémon game. I liked the beginning, it was very unique. Right from the start, I really felt like I would already like this game, and play this non-stop until I finished.
However, two things annoyed me about this game: the abruptness and diversity.
What I mean by abruptness is that here and there are rare items that would be hard to find in your average Pokémon game, so getting them so easily presents no challenge and s has a very different feel to it...takes away the addictiveness from this because you aren't hunched over the computer trying to find say a water stone, but rather you might have all the elemental stones before the  third gym. Also, in every other Pokémon game, you don't face a trainer until after all the tutorial stuff in your starting town, but here, you are immediately fighting this trainer with not much to train with besides some very weak Pokémon. Also, getting the experience of a Pokémon contest and the safari so early in the game is just too fast. Like other Pokémon games, you would usually get to a Pokémon contest by the third or fourth gym, and the safari would be a bit late into the game. But the safari, being so early as it is, does help with the pokedex.
The diversity aspect of the game, having all different Pokémon to catch is great...but I feel it is a bit of an overload. You can get starters from different generations of Pokémon which is very unique, but the fact that there are people giving away free Pokémon doesn't feel right. I do not know about you, but I would rather like to earn those Pokémon, find it and capture it. But here are these people, offering you Pokémon here and there.
There were many things to like about this game though. The new towns are very detailed and unique...the story is a bit captivating. The new team of bad guys is a pretty creative idea, however they do look a bit like Team Galactic in a way. The fact that you get many rivals in this game is kind of good, seeing how you would fight your rival say about 4 times in an average Pokémon game, but here, you would be fighting more rivals, meaning more fights, and therefore more experience for your Pokémon. However, Light Platinum lacked the running shoes that would be found in every single other Pokémon game, but since this is an emulator with a speed button, that did not matter.
In the end, this game (in my opinion) gets an 8.5/10 for its creativity, style, and story. If some minor things are fixed, this may not seem like a hack at all, but rather a "real" Pokémon game that the Pokémon creators recently released, which would be great. The overall effort into creating this game is excellent, because most everything runs smoothly, the detail is amazing, and the creativity that went into this game was well worth it.

Yet Another Opinion from Linkshade   linkshade 121
Once again, another opinion from Linkshade 121. I will be reviewing Pokémon Light Platinum. As suggested by a few users, I will break down each topic. So let's just get started:
Graphics-8
Pretty much similar graphics to Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, it is pretty much normal for a GBA game. I've seen better yet they are still pretty good. The trainer's sprite design was original and other places on the map are good design, but other stuff was really the same. I've seen better hacks that have more original graphic designs like Pokémon Skyline (I am not trying to offend those who like this game but the graphics could use some work). That's all I have to say, moving on.
Sound-8
The music in this game is ripped right from the Hoenn region Pokémon games. I do like the music from that region, I do, but some hacks added their own music to their games. Take Pokémon Shiny Gold version. The guy who created that game put a Game Boy Advance remix of Cyrus's theme in his game for a character named Carlos. One other Example would be Pokémon Victory Fire and Resolute Versions. The person who made the hack used the Hoenn Themes too, but he/she added little beeps to the music. Well that would be my opinion on the sound, next is the:
Addictiveness-8
If your wondering how likely I will play this game again, I will. There is just one thing that keeps me from saying the true yes: the amount of battles in the game. If you asked me to describe this game in one word, the word will be battles. To test this, I only leveled up my starter, and my starter is level seventy-something and I went through 4 gyms. I will keep playing this game, but I seriously wished there was less battles.
Story-4
Because of all the battles, in my opinion the story isn't that good. This is yet another thing all these battles ruin. I like the story but these battles make it drone on and on and on without no end. You should want to appreciate the story in the game at hand but thanks to this hack being revolved around the word I shall not mention, It ruins the game. Isn't there anything that makes this game good.
Depth-10
What I look for in the game is a lot of content and yes, battles do a good thing in this category. It is because of this you can face Red from Kanto, Ethan and Silver from Johto, and Lucas from Sinnoh as rivals. This also introduces the world championship where you fight against random trainers for seven rounds. What I especially like is in the 6th round, you get to battle Lance, Cynthia, or Steven. The 7th round is pretty good too, you get to battle ash. It also allows you to capture all the legendary Pokémon from Generations 1-5 except for Phione, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect.
Difficulty-6
I agree with a lot of  users when the game starts off hard at the beginning but thanks to battles yet again, it gets easier. That is just all I need to say about this topic.
Overall-7
To give an overall score to this entire game, it would be 7/10. That would be because of mostly good graphics, familiar music, a high addiction, a not to good story, an extensive amount of content, and a high difficulty.
Do you agree with me or not? Leave your thoughts in the thread and tell me some ways I can improve my reviews. I will review more games later.

Review for pokemon light platinum.   Yngwie
So well basically my last review was for medabots metabee version..
I though it would be time to finally make my own review of this game instead of just rating the reviews of other. ( must say some people really put in effort in reviews.. some people don't..)
the game it self kind a was at the start like: oh well oke cool,.. but if you play through it the game really gets amazing!
I've having the time of my life playing it! By so far on of the better hacks I've played!
I really love how Wesley took Pokémon ruby and give it a WHOLE new look! I mean.. Do you see ANY Pokémon ruby element? I don't.. This game is ben made with ALOT of effort i can tell! And i must thank Wesley GREATLY for making such good hack. But even the most amazing hacks to have some glitches. Just like this one.. some of em are pretty cool. Like at the team steam's base you can get infinite master balls by talking to the tree (you have to move in and out of the room to refresh it)
Well.. Lets go to the review part..
GRAPHICS:
the graphics are amazing.. (i didn't give it a 10 because there are still glitches..)
but the graphics still are amazing.. The work on editing all these maps must have been horrible much work! I'm glad Wesley took the effort. It really paid of from it!. I really DO like the sprites used in this game! New Pokémon sprites and new trainer sprites! Must say decent work!
i hope Wesley decides to make a new version because this game was amazing! But if he could repair some glitches and bugs. He might be able to even sell he's paid off work!
SOUND:
I don't play with the sound to be honest.. But i don't want to give it a 10 either.. Because IF i play on sound and use speed.. The speeded game music get struck in my head.. ( I have problems with my ears so i hear high tunes and low tunes all the time and even if i listen to much of the same sound its get locked up inside my ears and will play in like forever.. Or the surrounding sounds outside sound like music but if i listen carefully i hear the things normally). Sorry for the little background information about myself.. Lets continue the review
I do think that's its pretty funny to but a legendary soundtrack on pitchu and feebas.. I kind a lol'd about that haha! Also.... I'm pretty disappointed of the fact that the fifth Gen Pokémon's voices are screwed up.. That's the one thing i wanted to be changed.. So a 7 would be at he's right place.
ADDICTIVNESS:
well  I might as well just give this one a ten because EVERY Pokémon game seems to be really addictive since the fact that people want to train Pokémon better and better. And want to know all the little secrets of a game.
This game DOES really have he's unique things what makes it apart from ALL other hacked games. Like the move glide, I think its a REALLY cool idea to need your flying license to use it! Amazing! Also some of the glitches in the game makes the game rather addictive. Since you can get master balls for free... this can be really useful to catch the legendary Pokémon's.
what makes me mostly addictive to this game is the way to train Pokémon's. I've training ALL my Pokémon with the EV's calculation system and i really put effort in it to get good Pokémon with good stats. So i try to get the right nature right gender maybe even try to breed for better IV's. Playing the game with use of DV's makes the game really addictive. But also slows it down. But okay enough about the addictiveness of this amazing game.
STORY:
I'm rather surprised that this game has such great story line compared to a lot of other hacked games!
I'm really enjoying the story line through out the game. Being able to figh like 5-6 Rival's is pretty much a overdose.. But still i do enjoy it.
I didn't finish the whole game yet so I'm looking forward to see even MORE of it!
DEPTH:
this is one of the longest hacks I've played. The length of this game and storyline is amazing.
first you start of being a regular trainer. Trying to beat 8 gyms. If you'd beaten all the gyms you can Fight ANOTHER 8 gyms ( how amazing just like the older gold crystal silver version but then on a hacked version of ruby) and after that you got FOUR new elites to beat! This game really tests out your skill of raising Pokémon since the depth and the higher lv cap of the trainers and wild Pokémon ( it also makes it slightly easier to train your Pokémon on wild Pokémon like doing EV's ) but as i told already i haven't finish playing it so if I've finished it i will post the rest of it!
DIFFICULTY:
I don't know why to give it a lower point then 7 or a higher point then 6..
because its to hard to rate it 6. But to easy to rate it 7.. So i personally give it a 6,5
the game's difficulty really depends on how fast you can solve puzzles. Like: the ghost gym was like hell for me.. But i did got it after a while.
while the ice gym was like stealing a kidney of a unconscious unicorn... (lol yeah my girlfriend likes Charlie the unicorn for some reason..)
the trainers ,gyms, elite four, and wild Pokémon in this game are a lot stronger then in the regular Pokémon versions. What makes it still pretty challenging.. Getting all the HM's and the some rare items is pretty rare if you don't know where to look. But overall its fairly playable for any age, the game doesn't need MASSIVE intelligent like some games need. So i think the 7 ( my personal 6.5) would be perfect fit in this section
overall this game worth a 9,8.
a love this game a lot. And i hope that Wesley some day changes the link cable option back and vizzed getting a link cable system so i can FINALY fight someone in game. Because that's the most i miss on whole vizz and this game. NOT being able to fight other training.. ( i know that getting such networks are hard but i think that a link cable system on vizz can only make profit)
I don't know if I'm allowed to post tips.. But.
to train EV's try Google the for sites that gives information about your Pokémon's stats which one is the best to train. And which Pokémon gives the most EV's for it. Also the nature is really important. So you might as well look up for the nature list a Pokémon can have 508 MAX EV's ( 252 is the max for one stat) so think wisely when training.
well that's kind a my review for this game.
Its really is amazing! And if you didn't play it. And you just see this on the new post section.click it. Read it. Rate it. And PLAY IT! Because this game really worth the time and effort you can put in to it!
thanks you all for reading and i will me back on other game reviews to!

This game is brilliant!   Sahtra Kirito
Hello, this is Sahtra Kirito and this is my first review here in vizzed.
First of all, I love the experience system in this game, it makes leveling more easier and faster. But I will admit that the sharing of experience is not balanced, but it is fine nonetheless.
Second, there are some minor glitches in this game that I have experienced. One of them was the disappearing bridge in the water gym in Seanport city. The other one, being an image of a pokémon Scraggy appearing when I am receiving a new pokémon from other people.
Graphics: 10
The graphics in this game is very stunning and owns a high quality. This is the first thing that I noticed when I started playing this game, I was really happy that the graphics that were used was clear and bright.
Sound: 8
Well, I guess that all of the sound of pokémon games are the same...
Addictiveness: 9
This game is very addictive, I can play it for a whole day trying to level all of the good pokémons in my arsenal.
Story: 7
Well, not much of a story, but the rivals and enemies in this game shows some promise. Though I think that it would be much better if there are more organizations to fight.
Depth: 8
Though the story is not that deep, this depth is very clear. From Zero madness to the creation of the world and from finding all of the pokemon needed for the pokéDex to have a pokéRadar.
Difficulty: 7
Well, this is not the most difficult of all pokémon games, I mean, I am basically demi-godlike when I fought the first Elite Four. The right sets of poke'mon can give you the advantage.
Overall: 9.7
This game is very worth the time!

Awesome   cousity
This is definitely the best Pokémon game I've ever played by far.
Huge downside however is that there are some minor bugs that can kill your game play,
The bug I had for example left me unable to capture mewtwo and other things like that, it also didn't record some of the Pokémon centres in the second region, so you have to walk in there all the time because fly wouldn't work.
All in all a pretty epic game in an already epic genre of games.
The story is great, you basically learn things about Pokémon that if you played it in your childhood, you either overlooked or never paid any attention to it. The difficulty is a 5 because at some point the enemy Pokémon start out leveling you by far, but if you play the game wisely, meaning always taking advantage of your Pokémon's type, you can still pretty much win the game with ease.
I won the world championships which had level 100 Pokémon, with my team, which ranged from level 55 to 69.

Wow   joshman08
First of all I'd like to start by saying well done to the creator of this game. This is an amazing hack and one that will have people playing for hours.
For graphics I've given this game a 9 as it's the same as Pokémon Platinum. I like that as personally I prefer the graphics shown in Platinum to graphics shown in Heart Gold, Red, Leaf Green etc.
The sound I've given an 8 because although I enjoy the catchy sort of music that has come to be expected from Pokémon games, the beeping whenever your Pokémon is low on health gets pretty annoying.
The addictiveness of this game I've rated 9 as it gives a player loads to do and I like how someone gives you a new Pokémon pretty much every town so it helps to increase your Pokedex really early on. I also like how every legendary Pokémon is obtainable in this game. I mean wow! Really? Just knowing that encourages players to play throughout the game. If you like Pokémon games then you honestly will not be able to stop playing this game.
As far as story goes I've given this a rating of 9. This is because it's an entirely new and interesting story that will leave players in anticipation of what is next to come. This game is far from the traditional story as it involves a much more complex story line. Players will be eager to play through the story line and discover what is next to come.
The depth I've given a 9 purely because it is amazing. Seriously no lie. This game is amazing. It's entertaining and there is loads to do. In short you will not complete this game in a day.
The difficulty of this game I've given a 7 as the Pokémon level up as they do normally. Saying that though it's annoying as you cannot heal your Pokémon in neither your house or the professors lab. So at the beginning it's either make it to the next town or have all your Pokémon faint. In all fairness thou that's the only thing I don't like about this game.
Overall if you like Pokémon then you'll love this game. It's something new and something really enjoyable so in closing once again well done to the creator of this game.

BEST POKEMON HACK!!!   jaws123
Pokemon Light Platinum Review...
GRAPHICS: 9/10
The graphics in this game are overall pretty good. The makers did a good job designing all the buildings, characters, and also gen 5 characters and pokemon. There are a few glitches such as being able to walk on some roofs, but nothing serious. The few glitches are nothing as serious that it would ruin the game play.
SOUND:  10/10
The sounds and music are great. This game has music from almost all the gens. The pokemon cries and icon sounds are all just like any other pokemon game.
ADDICTIVENESS:  10/10
Oh man! This is a SUCH an addictive game. I have beaten this game 7 times and i know just about all there is to know about it. I played this game for hours and hours, while chatting with awesome friends, until i found myself awake playing pokemon at 5:32 AM. That was over Christmas brake so i wasn't a complete zombie for school.
STORY: 9/10
The story is actually pretty good. The makers completely made a new evil team called "Team Steam". Just like all the other original games team steam had an evil plot to take control of the world. At first trying to capture powerful legendary pokemon, later catching the great creator of pokemon Arceus himself. You as a trainer haft to stop team steam before they complete their evil plan.
DEPTH:  10/10
The game has bigger then any before length. In this game there are TWO regions each with their own elite 4. After you get through all the you have to face the world champion. Ash Ketchum is the world champion who has a full team of level 100 pokemon. But the game doesn't stop there. After defeating the world champion you can begin you search for the legendary pokemon. In this game alone you can capture and use in your team all the legendary pokemon made up to generation 5.
DIFFICULTY:  7/10
The game starts out pretty hard. You most likely will lose a couple times until your pokemon are up some levels. But from there it's pretty easy. Most players find their starter evolving very early in the game. What also makes it a little more difficult is that there are about 8 different rivals that fallow you through out the game.
OVERALL: 10/10
Overall this is the best pokemon hack on vizzed (in my opinion). This hack gives you the most choices for a team. Most legendary pokemon available to catch, and the longest game play. THIS IS A TRULY AMAZING GAME. I highly recommend this game to ANY pokemon fans. This game is incredible!

You have to play this game!   pdaddy123
This game was an amazing experience, I can tell they put a lot of effort in making this hack, just from the beginning you can tell its going to be a great game.
I give it a 9.9 basically because unlike some other hacks that just copy everything and change a few things here and there this one is original, you can catch Pokémon from almost all generations as well as all the legends and the story is all new as well as the map and you have several rivals and theres not only one Pokémon league, but two! And if that aint enough you can battle in a new event, the world championship.
Graphics are good, nice backgrounds when battling, you can see reflections in water, plants are moving, really gives some life to the game.
Addictiveness is high you really get into this game and its hours of fun for any Pokémon fan
The story is great as you progress you see scenes of legendaries fighting, almost feels like your actually in the game..
Overall this game is awesome my personal favorite..I really enjoyed it and so would you, so see for yourself and play this game.

Light Platium is Great!   RegiBro
Light Platinum is a excellent game that even includes 5th Gen Pokémon. You can also catch every single legendary which I find very impressive. The graphics looks like ruby graphics but has obvisually been edited and made better. The sound is good out of battle but in battle the Pokémon's cries don't match them which is a little disappointing but sound overall is good. Its pretty additive I have to say but once in a while I got bored but not much. The story is like all the other Pokémon games but I like that how they didn't change it also I like how they made a new gang and 8 gym leaders. The game takes a long time to beat all the gyms elite 4 and all the extra stuff such as catching the legendaries and stuff. The difficulty is like every other Pokémon game so its still pretty hard to beat.

Pokemon Light Platinum reivew   zelda2
Pokemon Light Platinum review:
Graphic's: 10 I think this game's graphics are as good as the D.S.'s.
Addictiveness: 10 This game is obviously addicting, as It is a Pokemon game and a very good one at that.
Story: 10 The story is surprisingly detailed, with the "Team doing bad stuff" called team steam trying to find and catch Arceus by making the legendary Pokemon fight, so Arceus has to come to stop the fight and, in conclution, is left weakened so that team steam has a better chance of catching Arceus. The reason they want to catch Arceus is because they want to clone him and have a team of Arceus's and thus, gain control of the world.
Depth: 10 This game has a crazy amount of depth, having two extremely long region's that provide a lot of fun and stuff.
Difficulty: 7 Pokemon games in my opinion are pathetically easy, so I would have rated this a four if it wasn't for the Elite four. they have extremely over leveled Pokemon up to level 74.
Overall: 9.3 It's a great game with a lot of feature's. My only problem with this game is: you get a pathetic amount of experience against the Elite four.
This is my first review so please don't hate and make rude comments. :)

When I come on vizzed the first thing I do is play Pokémon light platinum. It is a very fun game and is very addicting when you play it for a while you cant stop. It is my favorite game on the site and I think if you are a Pokémon fan or just like the Pokémon games this is a very good game for you to play. Even if you are not into the Pokémon games you still might like this it is that addicting. I never do reviews but this game is so good I had to do one.

Light Platinum
Light Platinum is a must why? well, I'll explain why it is a must.
So I'll start with the story.
Story:
Your a boy getting his or her first Pokemon today. You are heading to Centeral/Centural City to receive it.When you get there you see the Professor attacked by Team Steam grunts so the Prof asks you to chose a Pokemon to fight them. The prof will tell you to watch out for Steam members and stay cautious because they will attack you.
Sounds:
Well, who really cares about sounds well,of course some of you will so I'll tell you that it has the sounds of Ruby,Sapphire and Emerald. They weren't bad but not original.
Graphics:
The graphics are Pokemon Platinum With Is Really Good Looking and such.
Depth:
This Game is massively big in depth packing with 16 gyms in the whole region and almost 50 episodes to complete and capture every legendary in this hack.
Difficulty:
This game isn;t really hard you catch up really fast if your under levelled.Roughly your party is at level 50 when at the Pokemon League(Zhery Championship).
Addictive:
Most Pokemon games I would ditch after finishing it but I played it again!
(After 2-3 Years)
So you guys should really play this awesome game and give it a chance to bright up your day!
-Peter

best hack, yet the hardest.   haitamchouiekh
graphics- very good, very buietiful. they have great animations. you can see the starly and people hanging out withbtheir pokemon. graphics were unbelievbly cool
sound- sound was original. they had gen 3 sound, and music. i prefer the gen 2 and 4 sound and music.
addictivness- almost everybody has restarted this game for different reason. but rarely anybody has ever beat it. not even me. but if i beat it. i am sure to play again.
story- a buetiful story. it is very creative and imaginative. i can congraulate the makers of this game for that reason. the story is magneficent and long.
depth- it is very nice, and long. with two reigons to explore. the second region is not that good as the first. you cant fly to certian citties in the lauren region. but dont rush too fast on this game and just enjoy it.
diffuculty- it is so hard. i repeat it is so hard. the elite four are insanly strong. when you first start the game. instead of wild pokemon you get trainer. and almost every trainer in this game has 3, 4, or even 5 pokemon.this is a game you never want to play nuzlocke on. if you dont know nuzlocke then ask someone or look it up. if you have trouble
if you have trouble you can make a thread for this game sking for help. or the chat box is also available if yo want to use it. or you can watch a walkthrough on youtube. a good one is called munching ornage pokemon light platinum walkthrough. i suggest that over the other

Pokemon Light Platinum   warrior7
Pokemon Light Platinum is the best Pokemon hack I have ever played! It was a very thrilling game, to say the least. So thrilling in fact, that I beat the games 6 more times.
Graphics: The graphics are a 10 mostly because this is a 3rd generation hack. The 3rd generation games were made in the early 2000's meaning we really didn't have good graphics back then so you can't judge because of that.
Sound: I didn't really even listen to the sound, but I've heard it was the same as the third generation's so I like them.
Addictiveness: I've already said I played and beat this game 6 times, so what else is there to say. I love the fact it has every starter from every region and I also love how the creator of this game added fourth and fifth generation pokemon.
Story: The storyline was great...........
Difficulty: This game was actually pretty difficult at times. Whether it be against all your pesky rivals or the two elite fours.

Definitely Worth Playing   eunablack
I found this game very enjoyable, some-what easy if you play it, I find, a specific way. For example, start of with Charmander is the best advice you can be given... that is all I'll say about that.
Graphics: I give it a 10, It's your great Game Boy Advance graphics
Sound: I'll give it a 9, I can't really say. I never tend to have the volume on!
Addictiveness: I give a 10 because it is unbelievably addictive, so keep an eye on the time.
Story: A 9 and I'll give a small example because I don't want to ruin it all but it's the bit with Ash... at the beginning, where he is the Pokémon League Champion. That never happened but what can I say, it's just one tiny flaw.
Depth: It's a 9, There are tons of items to get and tons of Pokémon to catch. It's a great place to be if you want to be a Pokémon Master, and don't forget to talk to everyone you never know what they have.
Difficulty: The middle score of 5: I did find it rather easy, but it just depends on the Pokémon and the player I'd say.
So play, it's worth it with this one. You're missing out if you don't!!

Must play! NOW!   Razzamatazal
Although, I am yet to complete this game, this Pokémon Hack has thrown me into a state of mind which I thought I had buried a few years ago! I can safely say I am truly addicted to Light Platinum and will not stop until I conquer the Zhery League with my Charlizard! Overall, I rated this game a 10 as its graphics basically match Pokémon. The sounds and story are also very similar, which is a good thing! The depth is an 8 as it is very predictable (but Pokémon is usually the same concept, through and through <3). Difficulty is a 5 as you can very easily start playing and learn the tricks of the trade very quickly! Addictiveness is obviously a 10 as I cannot put it down (although I can write this review!). Thanks for reading! And I hope you enjoy Light Platinum!

Pokémon Light Platinum Review   sharknight
This is the best Pokemon hack game I have ever played! Most other Pokemon hacks out there don't compare to this. Please enjoy my review. :) 8.8/10 overall.
Graphics: The graphics are amazing! The new sprites are pretty cool and it looked like the creator put a lot of effort into them. The new buildings looked pretty amazing as well. The game may have a few glitches, but it still has some great graphics. 10/10.
Sound: The sound is also pretty good. Pokemon Emerald Music! 9/10.
Addictiveness: The game, like many other Pokemon games, gets boring after you play it for a couple of hours. It's still a great game nonetheless. 8/10.
Story: This game has a very unique plot. The game isn't just about beating all the trainers and being the champion which is nice. It does go extreme at times like the time when you defeat a Team Steam member and you go on their hit list :O. Pretty Strange. 7/10.
Depth: The game has a lot to offer. With two regions, a World Championship, and every single legendary pokemon, this game is easily the best Pokemon hack out there. Amazing! 10/10.
Difficulty: The game starts out hard. The first trainer has four pokemon! The other things that were difficult were the Elite Four and the World Championship. The rest of the game was like a normal Pokemon game. 5/10.
Overall, the game does get boring after a while, but that doesn't mean it isn't one of the best, if not the best, Pokemon hack there is. I recommend this to whoever wants a good Pokemon game. I hope you enjoyed my review or found it helpful.? 9/10. :)

Best Pokemon hack I've ever played!   XxStarryKnightxX
Pokémon Light Platinum is by far the most well-made and original Pokémon hack I've ever played, and I've played tons of Pokémon hacks!        Graphics - Same as Emerald, but with new character sprites! Love it!                                                                                                                          Sound - Again, same as Emerald, meaning AWESOME.                                                                                                                                                            Addictiveness - This one's a no-brainer. It's frigging POKEMON. Definitely a 10!                                                                                                                    Story - Very original and well thought-out! If I didn't know it was a hack, I would think this game was real!                                                                      Depth - Lots to do after the Elite Four. Tons of legendaries to catch, and tons of battles to be won at the PWC.                                                           Difficulty - Same as any Pokémon game. Not incredibly easy, but definitely not so hard that you wish to rip your hair out. :)

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   Joey W
CAUTION: CONTAINS SPOILERS. VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK
Hello Vizzed, It's Joey W back at it with another review! This review, as the title suggests, is for Pokémon Light Platinum, which is one of the most famous Pokémon hacks out there. So without further adieu, let's begin!
Graphics: The graphics in this game were superb. It had generation 4 graphics in a generation 3 game. However, there was one major flaw in the graphics design. When imputing the sprites of certain generation 5 Pokémon, there was an error, which distorted or completely removed the sprite of some of the Pokémon. Other than that, you won't see better graphics for Pokémon here on Vizzed.
Sound: This game reused the sound for the Generation 3 Hoenn games, which were classic. As I love the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald music, I gave it a 9 due to it just being copied.
Addictiveness: It was hard to put this game down, mainly because it is digital so I never picked it up! Joking aside, this game is really addictive. I am very willing to play this game in the future, so I had no choice but to give this a 10.
Story: This game had an excellent story. You start off meeting a league champion and the world champion, who happens to be none other than Ash Ketchum. As you defeat the criminal organization, Team Steam, and conquer the new region of Zhery, you are introduced to the neighboring region of Lauren, which you defeat as well. Upon spending hours of fun defeating two regions, you are finally invited to the World Championship, where you defeat Ash, becoming the World Champion.I don't even think the regular Pokémon games have this much action! So I give this a 10/10 for story.
Depth: Like you can infer from the "story" section, there is so much to do in this game. You will not ever get bored (unless you spend a lot of time acquiring hundreds of free masterballs). This game has hours of fun. However, I gave this game a 9 here due to the fact you cannot fly to ever city or town. In fact, most of the cities in Lauren you cannot fly to. It was painful having to spend an hour just walking around many cities over and over.
Difficulty: This game was interesting. The game was definitely easy, although it got exponentially harder as the game went on. As for me, I finished defeating level 100s with a level 80 Charizard and a team of level 60s and a level 50, mostly because I didn't want to grind it out. It had annoying glitches throughout the game, especially the fact you couldn't fly in Lauren or when you had to help Ricyan City's gym leader capture the Pokémon. For me, after I found Shinx, the Snorlax and Steelix disappeared, only for me to have to take to the gym leader again and start over. Nonetheless, it was more difficult than a normal Pokémon game.
Overall, this game was fantastic and I recommended any Pokémon fan or non Pokémon fan to try this out! Also, please give me a suggestion for another Pokémon game to try out! Thanks again and until next time, stay classy Vizzed!

Probably....the very best.   nicco139
Pokémon Light  Platinum is by far, my favorite and (in my humble opinion) the very best Pokémon ROM hack out there. The game has Pokémon from ALL OF THE REGIONS EXCEPT KALOS, which is mind blowing for a GBA romhack. The game is pretty balanced, but can get to be very hard near the end of the second region. Which brings me to my ratings.
Graphics : 10.
For the GBA, this game has a very Diamond/Pearl feel to it, and it looks amazing. 'Nuff said.
Sound : 9.
Now some of the sounds are just built in to the base ROM, but the custom sounds are amazing! Also, all the new Pokémon have their same cries.
Addictiveness : 10
Its Pokémon!!!! With 2 ENTIRE regions to explore, plus all the Pokémon from every region (but Kalos), this game is AWESOME!!
Story : 7.
It's the same as ever. Evil team, beat the league, win life. That being said, there are a lot of battles only available after the (spoiler alert)
Pokémon World Championships are beaten.
Depth : 10
2. WHOLE. REGIONS. And is fun.
Difficulty : 8.
The game is pretty balanced, but can get to be very hard near the end of the second region
Overall : 9.8
I would give a perfect 10, but there were a few... mistakes. If you boat across a river at the second gym to go to the next area WITHOUT beating the easy to miss second gym, you will be trapped and forced to reset. Yeahhh...............

Pokemon Light Platinum Review   PokéMasterWes
OVERALL---10
By far one of the best Pokémon game I played in a ling time. The game overall was excellent and should be more games like this. I wish there were more games like this
GRAPHICS---9
The graphics are awesome for a Game Boy Advance game, but it could be better with the new graphics of the Unova region. There were at few times where it looked like you were standing on top of a building, when really you're on the ground
SOUND---8
The music themes are played right at times, but could create new music.
ADDICTIVENESS---10
This games is really addicting because it let's you have a lot of possibilities in this game that most games don't offer. You have 2 regions, 16 badges, 2 leagues, World Championship, and all the rivals from all games including Ash Ketchum! Most Pokémon are catch-able which gives you a chance to complete your Pokédex. It also offers all legendary Pokémon from Gen 1-5. It is also all obtainable.
STORY---10
The story is awesome! There are some few grammar mistakes, but it's not something major. You get to meet Ash Ketchum, all characters from all regions, and new characters too.
DEPTH--10
It is pretty big game for a Pokémon game. you don't see a lot of Pokémon games with 2 regions and so many legendaries.
DIFFICULTY---7
It was really fun playing, but it wasn't that hard. For some Pokémon, you gain exp. too easily, and some really hard. Like some takes very fast to train and some very slow. I trained my Elekid, into a Electabuzz, into a Electirve. All made it to level 100 without cheating or a problem. That's how easy it was :/

Ok so what happens when 600+ Pokémon go into one game? This is what happens,Pokémon Light Platinum! You start off the game as your having a nightmare and arceus is getting beat up when you wake up your mom has you set the clock. So then you get one of the kanto starters and you start your adventure. Now the cool thing about this game is that you get one starter from every region. All of the legendaries are in this game and rare pokemon are every were. People give you really rare Pokémon to.  your Pokémon level up fast and you constantly have rivals like ash, red, and diamond. If you like Pokémon then this is a game for you!

Light Platinum Review   NotSoSuperHero47
This game is pretty great. The Pokémon included, gyms, trainers. The items given are  slightly obscure at times, but that can be a plus on occasion. Most shops early on sell Hyper Potions and other expensive items, which are Difficult to afford. Other than that, the game play is good. Now, I gave the difficulty a six because of overpowering. Most of the game, regular trainers are 10 levels below you, yet Exp Gain is commendable. But if you have 5-6 Pokémon, you may come up slightly under leveled. You receive starters, cool wild Pokémon to encounter and not to mention the rare Pokémon give outs in almost all the towns. I recommend this game to anyone who even remotely likes Pokémon.

Best rom hack ever!   daman269
Pokemon Light Platinum, a rom hack so amazing that it got better ratings than a lot of other Pokemon games that aren't rom hacks. Does it live up to the ratings? Lets find out.
Graphics:9
It's slightly improved the usual Game Boy Advanced Pokemon graphics to make the visuals better.
Sound: 9
I like the cheerful Pokemon music of things that can't go wrong until it does, making a necessary change in music.
Addictiveness: 8
It is fun. You get into the zone easily until something breaks the spell. A glitch that prevents you from going on. It would've been a 10 if not for that.
Story: 6
It's the usual Pokemon story, bad guy trying to rule the world using his evil minions until you see the bad guy catch Arceus in a Poke-ball, which gives a moment of panic then... Oh, he breaks out of the Poke-ball.
Depth: 10
It has all the Pokemon up to Generation 5, literally you can catch them all. It also has all legendary Pokemon up to Generation 5, 2 regions, 3 rivals and 2 Pokemon leagues.
Difficulty: 6
It's difficult a times (by that I mean very difficult at times) but at others it's easy.
So there you have it, my rating is 10/10 but yours may be very different.

I like this game   Jomonsta
This game is one of the best I have every played and in my opinion it is better than the original Pokémon games and I have beaten this game more than enough to know where most things to get are and mostly how many glitches can mess up your game but now to talk about the game.
I gave this game an Overall of 10 because this is a really good game not many people can make a hack as good as this one and I really hope that the maker of this game will make another one very soon.
The Graphics are pretty much the same as all the other Pokémon games but some things don't make sense like when you stand on top of a tree etc.
I didn't rate the sound because I don't listen to the music as I'm playing I usually mute my volume because I speed through almost every game I play so  I wouldn't know how good or bad it really is.
This Game is really Addictive I mean I have beaten this game probably more than 10 times and it is the only game I really play besides Pokémon Ruby I have played a lot of Pokémon games on this site but I think this game I have played the most. Just being able to get all Pokémon up until Pokémon Black & White and I think it deserves a 10
The Story line to this game is very good there are 2 regions and 16 badges and it goes into a lot of details with the bad guys (Team Steam) and you get a lot of detail of what is going on
Such as depth this game goes into a lot of detail it gives you every starter and you have a lot of rivals this game here just goes over the top
Difficulty is really easy I'm almost positive most people that just start and don't even know what Pokémon is this game could probably teach them how to play and get addicted just as I did
And that is the end of my review I hope this is a good review.... I'm not the best at this so if its bad please tell me all I want to know is if it is a bad or good review please no hate like "dude this sucked get a life" etc all I want is to know if its an okay review

I just love the variety of Pokémon in this game which is one of its amazing features  I am still not done with this amazing game I fell like I yet to scratch the surface with this game overall good game recommend it if you have never played a Pokémon hack. Great example of a game that really doesn't have to be licensed  by a huge company like Nintendo sometimes even the fans can even out shine the original creators of a game by creating something equally addictive and fun or even more than the original that they have used as a guide to success.

This game is the first Pokémon hack vie played it is amazing now let me justify my ratings
Graphics -10
The game is very well spirited. It looks very good for a GBA game and the animations are good.
Sounds -6
It sounds just like any other Pokémon game I've played so I gave it a six
Addictiveness-9
This game is very very addicting not only do I have it on my computer but I also have it on my phone and play it on road trips and during school when I can.
Story-10
The story moves pretty well for a Pokémon game. Its really nice because instead of your character saying just "..."
he/her atucally responds. You cant control it but its still nice to have.
Depth-10
The game has so many Pokémon to catch and plenty of people to battle along with plenty of map to explore.
Difficulty-5
This game really isn't hard. Plenty of Pokémon are given to you and its really easy to Level them up which is nice. The elite four is medium difficulty and with the right Pokémon it can be done easily.

There was way to many glitches that prevented you from doing anything in this game.. I got stuck in a lake and couldn't get out until all of my Pokémon fainted, a second time I got stuck was in the Lauren region second gym between the moving tiles and a trainer and unfortunately the trainer doesn't move back to his original location so I am now permanently stuck in that spot so I had to quit the game. The elite four is way over powered and many of the trainers are way to under powered. If you play this game I recommend you pay way more attention to where your going so you don't get stuck as well!!!

Well there isn't to much to say, best hack out. The game incorporates a variety of Pokémon as well as a variety of all the games before it. I love how you get the choice of many generations of starters. I also love the 16 gyms, 8 elite four members, and countless battles with significant characters in the game, not just regular trainers. I started this review with "there isn't much to say" but the truth is I could go on and on so instead just start a game yourself and if you love these games you'll have a party of level 80s and up and you'll be in it till the end!

You say this game is for kids but the complexity takes a mature mind to understand, The game isn't as simple as Type advantages if you compete with other players.
