POKEMON: Chaos Black (Hack) Review metroidhunter72
Years ago, before I knew that Vizzed existed, I saw a video on Youtube about a game called Chaos Black. I watched more of it and thought it was a cool looking game, but I didn't know how to play it. Years later, I discovered it on vizzed, and it was the second game I played on here (I played Red version first). Then I realized, it wasn't what I thought it would be.Graphics: 7This game is a hacked version of Fire Red, and features Pokemon that don't exist outside of this game. They are homemade, and they all have their own graphics. While I think this is cool, a lot of the graphics are messed up and glitchy, or not a correct scale. I feel the maker could have put more time into making them.Sound: 9All the music from the original game is featured, and some of the custom Pokemon have their own cries that the maker created themselves. I think that this deserves a high rating, as it must of taken a long time to create the noises.Addictiveness: 6This game isn't that bad, but it is obviously incomplete, which is shown by the fact that lots of the graphics are glitchy and the game ends at Mt Moon. Still, I think it is a fun game to demonstrate the ability to hack ROMS, and sets a standard for people who want to make their own hacks.
Story: 5
The maker created their own story for this game, which replaces the intro in the beginning right before Proffesor Oak appears on the screen. It seems interesting, but the story doesn't apply to the game at all. This probably was going to be changed, but the gaame was never fully completed.
Depth: 5
Like I have said multiple times, the game is nowhere near complete, so it doesn't offer much. Its more of a game that someone made when they were learning to hack pokemon games.
Overall: 7
I think whoever created the game is good at hacking them and adding new content, but the game definitely needs improvement. I think that somebody should take a rom of this game and complete it, with all the good map makers and spriters out there. If this game was completed, it could be a GREAT game.
EDIT: I accidently rated it an 8 instead of 7. It is meant to be a 7 for overall.

You call this a hack?! Its pokemon red with crap sprites that you can only play up to mt m WanderingHero
This hack is complete crap. Almost all of the "new" pokemon are old pokemon with a new sprite that looks like it was made in ms paint, the same stats and the same moves. The games areas and trainers are almost unchanged and you cant go past Mt Moon.
Hacks are supposed to offer new content and new gameplay, not the same old crap with ugly sprites.
Essentially its just Pokemon red with bad sprites, Viradin forest removed and you CANNOT PROCEED PAST MT MOON (!). Which implies that this is either a very early Beta, or the creator couldn't be bothered to play it. Or both.
I don't know how this has such a high score. If this is an 8/10 (haha no) then a hack like Fire Emblem the last promise would be 20/10.
The low scores are because.. well theirs nothing to mention. Theirs a vague story mentioned at the start, but then it turns out to just be Pokemon red with NO DIALOGUE CHANGED AT ALL.
I cant give the depth a good score because its just pokemon red with a few goofy mons, most of whom are useless. And of course, since you cant get past Mt Moon, their isn't much depth to this game

Ignite The Chaos With The Pokemon Black Before There Was A Real Black Version Postman3
Some differences between Pokémon Chaos Black and Pokémon Fire Red, you may notice right away.
Bulbasaur is now a Grass/Electric type Pokémon called Magid. His volt absorb ability will fully protect him from electricity damage while crediting him with one quarter the amount of his full HP.
Charmander is now a baby lion called Flaon. He has a mane so maybe he is not exactly a cub. He is cute though.
Caterpie is now an antennaed fat little green bug called Tase. He is part normal type. It will evolve into Podcoon. Podcoon is simply Bug type.
Pidgey is now a pokey appendaged red and yellow single horned reptile. Normal/Poison is its new type. It is now named Shizard and evolves into Shicoon. Shicoon is a Steel/Poison type.
Fearow seems to have changed in appearance and name only. It is now Minite and is shaped like a blue-eyed marshmallow with baby blue cotton candy attached.
Seel is now called Abel and looks like a cute little abominable snowman.
Cloyster is now called Graag and looks somewhat like a red/gold/brown Tyrannosaurus Rex. When you put it first in battle, it will not be visible. When switching to it in mid-battle, it will take the appearance of your previous Pokémon with the colour scheme of Graag.
Muk is now called Esplime. It looks more like a micro-organism than the pile of sludge it once was.
Any of the above plus Mankey, Rattata, Spearow and Weedle can be obtained before your second trainer battle.
The villages look about the same but the routes appear to be reformed as mazes. Cool!
The location indicator will activate for some of the routes, but will be blank for village names. It appears you need CUT to unlock all the secrets of route 2.
GRAPHICS
The new Pokémon images are not quite as high quality as Pokémon Fire Red images are, but they are spot-on as far as original creativity goes. They are all just simple drawings that are so basic and fundamental the "big brains" at Game Freak would pass on them instantly. For these reasons, the imagery retains a high rating by my standards.
SOUNDS
The Pokémon cries are the same even for the altered Pokémon. Apparently, no effort has been made make up new ones for the new Pokémon. The music is the same. I have nothing new to report.
DEPTH
I would not call this a quick game unless I had 30+ hours a week to devote to gaming, which I do not. To get from town to town takes extended periods because of maze-like routes patched with grass. Before you even beat the first Gym Leader, it is already time to make dinner. I would like to catch Esplime and Spearow before moving forward.
You may prefer to rush through the game catching very few Pokémon, training fewer powerhouses and taking on the Elite 4 with in 30 hours if you are one of those instant gratifiers who just wants to be the champion. I like to take my time, explore, train many strong fighters and generally go undefeated in my games. Even that does not matter much so long as I do not lose much unspent Yen.
DIFFICULTY
The main problem with this game is learning how to battle your Pokémon all over again. They look different, evolve into different types, and previous evolutions may not exist at all. A secondary irk presents itself in finding your way to the next town. Route 2 is like a Team Rocket hideout sans Team Rocket.
STORY
Catch Pokémon, battle trainers, win badges and defeat the Elite 4 and you will be the champion.
ADDICTIVE
Some games are only as good as their last play. If a game starts to bore you, start playing another game instead. The thing that keeps me playing this game is the new species discovery. Any creature you can imagine can be a Pokémon. We do not have to play only with the ones Nintendo minds thought up. I am finding new beasts on every route. I get a jolt of excitement when I see one I have not before.
In summary, if you look for what is new and exciting about Pokémon Chaos Black, you will probably find it. You would have to look for it though.

Pokemon Chaos Black - Game Review
Release Date - 2004
System - Game Boy Avanced
Publisher - MewThree
Developer - None
Genre - Role Playing Game ( RPG )
Hack of - Pokemon Fire Red
What I know about this game ?
So far what I know about this game is that Pokemon Chaos Black was released around the year of 2004 . It was made for the Game Boy Advanced ( obviously ) . The Developer of Pokemon Chaos Black is MewThree but this game has no publisher ( who would wants to publish this game ) . Pokemon Chaos Black is a Role Playing Game and a hack of Pokemon Fire Red . In many ways you would know that this is a hack of Fire Red . Now lets get to the category .
Overall - 5
Pokemon Black Chaos is particularly the worst Pokemon game made ever and it deserves to have bad ratings . Pokemon Chaos Black is completely non - original in many ways . This game has no different features , has no different cities or towns , has no different areas and it has mostly the same pokemon ( some are different but look bad )
. So overall bad game , has no originality so thats why it is rated a 5 / 10 .
Graphics - 6
Well the Graphics are good because it is exactly like Pokmon Fire Red and Pokemon Fire Red Graphics are excellent . Still this is not an original hack of Fire Red i would to give it a low rating .The Animation of the game is good as well , it gets better as years pass by . If you play Pokemon Black Version 2 the animation is excellent but if you play Pokemon Red the animation isn't so great .
Sounds - 5
Pokemon Chaos Black has no original sounds or music . Still since it was a Pokemon Fire Red Hack you would most likely think the sounds / music are great in many ways . The sounds are usually the same for every Pokemon game made for the Game Boy Advanced . The sounds don't change until they made Pokemon games for the DS , it gets better from there .
Addictiveness - 1
Oh , Pokemon Fire Red is really not addictive and when i mean its not addictive , its not addictive . I played this game once and when i stopped playing Pokemon Chaos Black i never returned to play this game AGAIN ! So when other people play this game either they might play it again or never return . That is why i rated this as a 1 / 10 .
Story - 3
The Story is the same as Pokemon Fire Red . You are Ash Ketchum or Trainer Red and you want to become a pokemon . You might run into some trouble during your adventure but thats won't stop . You would have to Battle Trainers , Catch Pokemon and Defeat Gym Leaders Before you become a pokemon master . You will under go a journey that you been waiting for , the journey of your dreams .
Depth - 7
Well the Depth to ever pokemon game is the same , but this game offers about the same . You have to Battle Trainers , Catch And Train Pokemon from the wild and Defeat the Gym leaders as well as the Pokemon League .
Difficulty - 3
The game is really not that hard at all . It is pretty easy that Pokemon Chaos Black is exactly like Pokemon Fire Red . If you already played Pokemon Fire Red this game is easy .
Well thats the end of another good review , I hope you all have a great time . :D

Amazing CheatFreak208
Very amazing new Pokémon that goes along with the Pokémon story. I love the new Pokémon and how they look even though this isn't official. Its basically the same story in all Pokémon games but it doesn't get old. Even though I have not finished it and haven't seen the new Pokémon. I like the and their looks. I chose the Flaon and its an amazing new form of Charmander. I really love the option to make the game go by fast. It takes the slowness of Pokémon to a new level of speed. I simply love this game in its hacked version.
