Pac-Mania A game worth playing Patrick Star
Pac-Mania is a game that was released on many consoles such as, NES, Arcade,and the Sega Master System.The one I will be reviewing today is the one on the Sega Master System which is considered the best to most people. Pac-Mania is like Pac
Man game only with better graphics and you cannot see the whole area at one time which can get very confusing in some
areas such as the Sandbox. So now I will be reviewing Pac-Mania.
Graphics:
The graphics for Pac-Mania are good but there are a few problems with them. One problem is in some rounds the pattern can
kind of be aggravating on eyes such as in first stage. This may just be me I really do not know. A second problem is with
the ghosts. This problem is when you pick up a big pac dot they turn a more lightish blue instead of the classic blue that
resembles the arcade version, this is a small problem but it just bugs me for some reason.
There are also some new good things about the graphics like when pacman eats a pac dot you can actually see it go in to
his mouth unlike before. Not a big new thing but I think it is pretty cool. Another new good thing about the graphics is it
is not kind of 3dish when I say 3dish I mean like instead of just going straight up in the game you kind of go in a
realistic way so you can kind of see him going up in the background. A final good thing worth mentioning is this one has
the best graphics in my opinion of all of the other system's Pac-Mania games. I give the graphics an 8/10 for being good
with a few minor problems.
Sound:
The sound in this game is very addicting to listen to and the noises everything makes are better than before with Pac
Man actually having a less arcade like sound of chomping down on ghosts and pac dots. I think it is like a metal sound.The
sound is also being better in this game by the game having some actual good to listen to music instead of none like the
original Pac Man games. Another thing I like is when you chomp on pac dots you can also hear sort of like the original Pac
Man chomping noise.
There is also one bad thing about the sound and that is it does not change when you eat a big pac dot but the good part is
the music changes some each stage so I guess that is good enough. I give the sound a 9/10.
Addictiveness:
This game is very addictive if you do not already have a copy of the original Pac Man at your house or even if you do this
is a game worth buying because it is more addicting than the original which is pretty addicting.. The music is really easy to listen to for hours on end and the gameplay is just so
fun. One of the downsides though is it only has a few rounds you can start from and I am not sure what round is the final
round because I have not made past round 5 but round 6 is in the level screen but you cannot choose it so I think it is
the final round. So that makes a very limited amount to play making it not as fun as before but the stages you have are
still really fun. One thing that makes this game even more addictive is it actually has a round
select screen just incase
you died unlike the original which just made you start over. This made me rage quit far less times:P. I give the
addictiveness an 8/10 for not having enough stages to really have a ton of fun but offering fun other stages.
Story:
There really is no story except for short little story clips in between the levels saying stuff like lets go to block town
and do something. One of them does not even relate to the story saying avoid the jumping ghosts. I really wish they could
have added some more story in to this Pac Man game making it better than all of the rest but they didn't. I would really
like to know why Pac Man is going to Block Town. The only thing it says as for the actual story it seems is Pac Man has to
escape some new ghosts to continue eating which is a huge disapointment for this game. I give the story a 4/10 for not
giving very much story at all that you could not already assume.
Depth:
Like I said earlier there seems to be not much depth to this game with the rounds looking so limited but I might be wrong
considering it says there are secret levels to find and a lot of new worlds to discover. Other than the game of regular
old Pac Man it seems there is not much to find or do. I know this was an old game console but it would have been fun to
maybe have some mini games featuring Pac Man. I do not know what they what they would be but it would be a cool feature in my opinion. I give the depth a 6/10 for offering some levels to play but not enough variety of stuff to do really.
Difficulty:
Well the difficulty is decent. Not overly hard but not overly easy. It all just depends on how the ghosts are feeling
really like sometimes you have been running from a ghost for like 20 seconds (Which is a long time in game) and it almost
has you when you make one last turn and it turns the other way. I find this kind of relieving for you but kind of stupid
for the ghost to do when it is like less than a centimeter away from you. Though this game can be pretty hard with
more than 4 ghosts out at a time, I think there are at least. One thing that also makes this game hard is all the places
where the ghosts can trap you and make it so there is no place to run. I give the difficulty a 6/10 for being hard when it
wants to be.
Overall:
I think you should really try this game out and play it. It is a good way to pass the time when you are bored and you can
get addicted to it pretty easily. That is why I give Pac-Mania a 7.6/10.

Pac-Mania: Pac Man's Isometric Adventure Sephirothxxxxxx..
Pac-Mania is definitely a game that any Pac- Junkie should play. The game features an early form of Isometric graphics as pacman navigates his way through mazes, while avoiding those annoying ghosts. The game has nice sounds, and does great at demonstrating the Master System's graphical capabilities.This is the first Pac-Man game that allowed the player to jump with the press of a button, making it easier for younger kids to enjoy but still keeping a challenge. If you aren't careful with your jumps, you can jump right onto a ghost. The camera following pac man also makes it harder to tell if the ghosts are coming for you, providing a challenge but also some frustrating moments that all games love to give the player. This camera is also convenient, and makes it easy to make sure pacman is were you need him to be.
I've never played all the way through, but I will eventually, as this game is quite a lot of fun to play. It features something like a story, but it's just random cut scenes in between levels that tell you what world you are getting ready to go to and such.
In short, the game is a lot of fun! Check it out!

Pac-MAN this game stinks! Pacman+Mariofan
Review PreviewHey, vizzed members! The title says everything I have to say about this game so you can click away from the review now. Just kidding, this game is so bad that I have a ton to say about it. Read it all if you dare.
Today I am reviewing Pac-Mania for the Sega Master System, one of the worst Pac-Man games I have ever played. But obviously, I’m still willing to play it because I’m sitting here typing my fingers off to tell you about it. Alright, it’s time I get started!
SOUND EFFECTS
2/10I rated this a 2 because there are sound effects, but none of them sound good! Some of them are pretty strange too, such as the dot-chomping sound. It’s low and annoying. Pac-Man chomps a ghosteater pellet and you get a sudden change of pitch, low to high! That sound is actually pretty funny, but that does not mean it’s good.
Pac-Man chomps a fruit and… wait, did you hear that? Me neither. I reset the game and leaned my ear towards my speaker. That noise was doing the limbo, seeing how low it could go. If you eat a dot right before eating a ghost, you would hear another sudden change of pitch!
Pac-Man’s dying sound is another low one with a dramatic high pitch at the end for whatever reason. It goes along with the animation, but that’s the only good thing about it.
The only sound effect that I wouldn’t want to
replace is Pac-Man’s jump. It isn’t good, but it isn’t too bad either. That sound saved this category from being a 1!
Finally, there’s the pause sound effect. Oh yeah, there isn’t one. When you pause, it just freezes the screen like your browser froze or the emulator crashed. It doesn’t even say, “PAUSE”. Oh my goodness.
MUSIC
Cring3y/10I rated this a 3 because this game might as well have no music; all of it is weird-sounding. The cutscene theme makes me think “Eh”, but the other songs make me think, “BLEH”. I danced like crazy in my seat while listening to level 1’s theme just now because it’s the only thing that makes it enjoyable, besides how wacky it is. Just like with the sound effects, the music has some sudden pitch changes that add to the weirdness of the notes.
I bobbed my head up and down in order to enjoy the Pac-Man’s Park theme. Most of it sounds better than level 1’s theme, but not the end part before it starts over. Throughout the song, there’s a loud beat that overpowers the actual notes. It ruins the song even more than everything else.
GRAPHICS
7/10I rated this a 7 because I love most of the graphics this version of Pac-Mania has. The mazes look simple despite being 3D and the colors are well-chosen for them and for Pac-Man. I have a problem with the ghosts, though. For one thing, they gained height but really lost some weight. Second, they have some shiny bald spots on “their heads”. So does Pac-Man but it looks better on him. Third, if you stare into their eyes you might think they feel sad. This is supposed to be a fun game where you don’t feel bad for the ghosts!
Lastly, Blinky, Pinky, and all of them are gone. You get to deal with green and orange ghosts now, so have fun. By
the way, the ghosts in the cutscene before level 2 actually look good. How come they couldn’t look like that in the actual levels??
ANIMATIONS
Lam3/10I rated this a 3 because the cutscenes are lazily made and inconsistent with the original game. The first one does OK with consistency aside from how fast it is. The 2nd one, though, is just a bunch of ghosts following each other in a chase, but there is no Pac-Man. What are the ghosts chasing, and again, why do they look better than the ghosts in the mazes?
As for the animations you see in the mazes, they’re a little better. However, just like with the cutscenes everything is too fast, which I’ll talk about more in the difficulty section. Pac-Man does well executing his animations and as a little bonus, if you pause the game at the right time you’ll notice some hilarious faces. In a screenshot I’ll upload after this, I show that he looks very tired. The ghosts do well with their animations too, except one. They blink too soon before returning to normal, so you have barely any time to react before you run into one.
ADDICTIVENESS
M3h/10I rated this a 3 because the only reason I come back to this game is to use my determination to make more progress. Also, it’s entertaining to hear that wacky music once in a while, since it isn’t too irritating.
STORY
N0pe/10Even the cutscenes don’t tell a story, they just warn you about what is next, so I would say there isn’t a story in this game. Maybe you’d think that with a title like Pac-Mania, it has to be good. I mean…uh… Pac-Mania might sound like it would have an interesting plot. But no, it doesn’t have one, so sorry.
DEPTH
10/10I rated this a 10 because this game has more than enough levels with how difficult it is. Also, it has all the maze types of the original game.
DIFFICULTY
10/10I rated this a 10 because it is ridiculous, and not in a good way. Earlier, I mentioned that everything is too fast. Well, it is! You don’t have much time to react when you turn a corner and a ghost is coming your way. Also, the controls don’t respond as quickly as I want them to. If that doesn’t sound crazy enough, the amount of ghosts is quite excessive. That alone might be why I struggle not to lose a life in the first level.
Usually, I’m quite fortunate to make it past level 3.
OVERALL (not counting story)
5.4/10Ouch. Yeah, this version of Pac-Mania really isn’t that great unless you use a cheat to go through the ghosts, and try to rack up a good amount of points that way. I would recommend it to anyone who is too good at the original Pac-Mania and wants a much harder version.
