Mother 3 walkthrough (April fools) review   austipokedude
Mother 3 is a outstanding game enjoyed by many people around the world. It is perhaps one of the best RPGs of all time as well. But what really stands out is the graphics, sound, addictiveness, depth, and the story. But lets get started on this review.
Graphics:Your not gonna be surprised on this. The graphics are outstanding perhaps this game has the best sprites I ever seen but what makes this game even better is it focuses not just on the sprites but the surroundings as well you can't ask for any better graphics for the graphics in this game are indeed perfected at the time so enjoy this game and make sure you take notice of this games graphics and enjoy them I'm sure you will.
Sound:Wow the music in this game is just great it has sad music during a sad moment and happy music at happy moments. The music can't get any better as well it's cleaned up music that sounds well orchestrated so if you like music this game is for you sense the music can't improve in any way it can't go up or down its that good to listen to.
Addictiveness:This game provides revenge in a way I will not spoil for you in anyway but that revenge is something that will drive you forward. It just doesn't provide revenge it also provides tons of weapons to collect and items by scavenging around and talking to various people in various places you will enjoy hours of gameplay by defeating obsticals that block your path so get ready for alot of fun.
Story:I promise I won't spoil nothing so just keep reading you and your brother live at a ranch in a place called tazmily village.your mother and grandfather do as well but your father is away and is actually a sheriff in a nearby town.but one day strange visitors visit a forest a little visit that's all I'm gonna say though rest you have to find out yourself by progressing through the game but the story is exciting and at times offers suspence to the players.
Depth:honestly the game only offers a great long story you probably will have at least twenty one hours of gameplay in total there are tons of items you can collect but isn't required to beat the game but helps you instead with battles and obstacles trust me you will enjoy this game and play it over and over again it is that fun so go have the fun.
Difficulty:now here's the bad part it does get pretty hard at times if your low leveled but I suggest you occasionally stop and level up every now and then. You will then find it easy if you level up enough which will add more hours on to your total gameplay time which will make the game alot longer of course which is what pretty much everybody wants.
Overall:The game is great and I recommend you playing it if you own a gba or have a little extra time to spend on vizzed you can play it of course.trust me this game offers everything except disappointment so go grab your gba or keyboard and get to playing this has been another review by me and is officially done right now.

Mother 3 review!   patar4097
Before I start, if people like Mother3fan5 see this, and see that I didn’t rate this 10/10, I’m sorry. I’m not trying to offend you. :P Well, anyways, on to the review.
Mother 3, the sequel to Mother 2, or better known as Earthbound in the States, was released on the GBA in 2006, but like the first in the series, it was only released in Japan. However, it was originally going to be called Earthbound 64, and, as the name would suggest, it was going to be released on the N64. But even BEFORE that, it was going to also be on the SNES, since production started in 1994, like Mother 2. But it was delayed, was scheduled for the failed N64DD, then for the normal N64, before it was finally moved to the GBA.
But luckily, a patch for the original Japanese ROM was released for an English translation, so we could enjoy this game. Just like Earthbound, it is a turn-by-turn RPG adventure game. Using your PSI powers, you will fight a bunch of wacky enemies, including snake-cow fusions, possessed guitars, and many others. But this improves some mechanics that were lacking in Earthbound. For instance, you can now run, making the world much easier to get around in.
Gameplay: 9 – The game plays really well. To get into a battle, you run around the world. When you see enemies, you must touch them to battle them. But you can get an advantage or disadvantage depending on how you touch them. If you run into them from behind, you will get a quick attack off. Conversely, if the enemy hits you from behind, they get the first strike. I really like how they do this, because it means trying to run away could cost you.
One of the best things about this game is that you get to take control of a total of six different people. Some are used throughout almost the whole game, like Lucas and Boney, and some are used very little, like Flint, Lucas’s father. All have different traits, like better HP, attack, speed, and some have PSI moves, which can either be attacks, defenses, or healing moves.
And occasionally some other assisting characters that play a very minor role, doing little in the battle besides making the player crack a smile with a witty little move. One example is when Fassad talks to a banana. It has no effect in battle, but it is funny to see it.
These same things can also happen against enemies. Like how the crow in Earthbound will only smile after stealing a cookie, the Navy Squeals can randomly go off on a paid vacation…..alright…...But it is this sort of charm that is spread out throughout the entire game. Useless enemies, item boxes that have no effects, and the non helpful characters make this one of the most unique games I’ve ever played.
Graphics: 9 – The graphics in Mother 3 are one of the best I’ve seen in a GBA game. The characters all have good personality shown through the graphics, which is hard to do with small sprites. They really blend in well with the lively world as well. They don’t seem to be living creatures among a flat world. All of the PSI moves that make the screen shake with weird colors and effects look great. They give you a feel for what those moves actually do.
Although I’m not too fond of the enemy designs, they are still done with good detail, and unlike some GBA games, a perfect balance of color. Most of them are lively and everything, but personally, I just think that some of them have bad design. :/ Now, here’s a picture of the tree enemy. This is the kind of thing I’m talking about.

The world design is done in a really nice way. The world blends together pretty with the surrounding areas as well. I felt that some places had a sudden change in terrain. The main place I’m talking about is by the desert area by the factory. It seemed to be a little out of place.
Now I’m going to talk a bit more about the in battle mode. First off, they still have those weird backgrounds that seem to have nothing to do with the terrain itself. To be honest, I don’t really like it. For boss battles, it’s kind of a cool feature to have, but I would like it as well if they made the backgrounds look like the area you are in. But the backgrounds that you do have look good, and don’t look pixilated like I was expecting them to be.
Sound: 8.5 – There is some absolutely some terrific music in Mother 3. From the battle music against the guitars, to New Pork City, to Saturn Valley, there are some great tunes. They get stuck in your head, and you sing along with them. I don’t normally do this, but I actually go onto YouTube just to listen to a Mother 3 track sometimes.
Well, that was the good of Mother 3’s music. But I think there are some that aren’t so good as well. First one is the music that plays in most of the caves. It isn’t really a song though. To me, it just sounds like some random eerie sounds that replay over and over again. Now, the first time it isn’t really bad, but its repetitiveness is too much.
The next two aren’t really bad songs, but they are used a lot. The menu music has a nice, soothing sound, but if you are like me, and open up the menu a lot to look at what’s going on, it might get on your nerves. The other is the Pigmask theme. It’s a great song, and goes perfectly with what is going on. The song represents mayhem, which is basically what the Pigmasks do. But like the menu, it seems to come up a lot. It would have been cool if they had a different track for when you see a higher up leveled Pigmask, like a captain.
Addictiveness: 9 / depth: 9 – There are so many things you can do in this game. The main story as it is will take you about a month with average gameplay every day. However, the fact that there isn’t an after game story is disappointing. But after you finish the final boss, you can still go back to an earlier point in the game to level up, collect the tons of Easter eggs there are in the game, etc. Really, there is so much to do in this game.
One of the Easter eggs is unlocked by seeing every enemy from the normal front position, and also the position from when you run into them from the back. I haven’t gotten this, and I don’t know what it is, but it is there for you to accomplish. And there are tons more out there for you to collect.
This game is also very addictive. I’ve gone almost four straight hours of playing it, without realizing I was even playing it for even one hour. While as with most RPGs, there are parts where you have to level grind, this game seems to have less of it than most, giving you more time progressing through the story instead of having to battle the same enemies over and over again to get to a good level.
Story: 9 – The story is probably one of the best I’ve seen in any game I’ve ever played. It could perfectly transition from a serious or sad moment, and instantly throw in a funny line. This game has sad moments, but it is so filled with humor, you will sometimes forget about how sad it is. The dialogue is amazing with how they did these transitions. And the fact that all the dialogue was written by one guy makes it seem even better.
Now, I don’t really want to have to repeat the story, because you can easily find it somewhere, or even better, find out by playing the game. But anyways, back to the story. Not only is it filled with humor and tragedy, but you also get to see the story from multiple perspectives. It has many twists you may have not known (unless you read Lucas’ Super Smash Bros. Brawl trophy. : P), and the plot is very interesting, and will keep you playing for more.
But there’s one last thing I need to say about the story in spoiler form:
although I loved the story, I have to say the ending in general was unfulfilling. First, the final boss is not like a normal battle. You just keep yourself alive practically. And the fact that in the end, your Claus was alive all this time, but at the end pretty much kills himself is pretty disappointing as well. Although it might be a good storyline, I personally didn’t like it. It had too much depression for me, especially for coming at the end of the game like that.

And one more quick thing; the “End?” screen, although it made me upset that it doesn’t tell you exactly what happened after the supposed apocalypse, I like that it lets you think for yourself what happened at the end. I’m guessing there’s some “official” ending to it, but you are free to think that the dragon destroyed the world, or think that a new world was created. Any way you want to think it is fine, which is a pretty cool I think.
Difficulty: 6.5 – As most RPGs like this, it isn’t really all that hard. Although it takes skill to get off the combo attacks, still, if you level up high enough, you can beat pretty much any enemy. In fact, I went through about half the game without even knowing about the combo moves.
There are some bosses that you will need to level up for though, or may take some 8-10 combo hits in order to beat. This does get annoying at times, but if you are using the speed up button, it’s much better. :D But the part where it can get difficult is with the puzzles you need to solve.
Now, I don’t know how others think about this, but I think it’s the worst where you are in an RPG, and you feel that you need to look up a walkthrough, but fortunately, it doesn’t really get to that level. I did have to figure out the map of the mole cricket cave though. :P It keeps it at a level where you might have to take a step back, and look at it again, but not to the point of needing a walkthrough.
Overall: 9.1 – Mother 3 is a truly unique game. With all its quirky dialogue, amazing story, and terrific gameplay, this is a must-play for RPG fans. Its interesting enemy designs, and great characters make it a charming game to play, but seeing all the tragedy and evil in the game, and the fact that it all balances out in a way few others can. If you have not tried this game, I’d definitely recommend it.
Thanks for reading my review! I really appreciate any feedback, good or bad, and don't forget to rate the review as well.

Mother 3, a review   17pacukb
OK, so this is off the bat one of the best games I have played, but it does have some flaws, thus the 9.7. First of all, the sound.
Sound.
The music and sounds in the game are some of the best I have seen, or heard. The combat system plays directly into the music, which is something new and exciting to most western gamers. With a sound index at the start of the game, you can listen to your favorite pieces from the game and remember those scenes.

   Graphics.
Despite the fact that this game is on an outdated console, the graphics truly stand the test of time. The cartoon-ish style but still somewhat realistic settings combine for a visually beautiful backdrop for a wonderful game. Although some of the sprites may seem strange at first sight, they most often play into the story in some way or another.

   Addictiveness.
This game is very immersive experience, containing countless amounts of tasks and Easter eggs to find and do. This game really gets better and better the more you play it, no matter how you play. Little bits of hidden stories are scattered throughout the world, and they keep you coming back to unravel the full story of Tazmily Village.
   Story.
While this game is impressive in almost every feature, it truly shines the most when it comes to the story. (I may accidentally say small spoilers, so if you don't want to find out anything that happens, skip down to the next session.) OK, so, now that I can feel  free to post mild spoilers, here I go. The story in this game is like something you would see in a book. You have the scrawny, sheltered main character, Lucas, who develops throughout the game to become a strong, confident main character. You have the thief who does not know what to steal, Duster, who becomes a powerful force for good as the story progresses. You have the non-feminine princess, Kumatora, whose magic is unmatched throughout the land, and then you have Boney, the lovable, loyal best friend / dog to Lucas. The enemies in this game range from the feeble mole cricket, to powerful chimeras, ( animals that were mixed with robotic parts to become more dangerous) to statues with near infinite health. The main enemies in this game, are the Pigmasks, people who have been persuaded by their leader to rebuild the world in their leaders image. If you have played Earthbound, there are many references back to the travels of Ness and co. The rich story to the game is one feature of the game that sets it apart from the more popular games of the time such as Pokémon, which has little to no story. Another thing that this game has is a rich history that goes back to before Earthbound, and encompasses ages that build up to a believable story with surprises at every turn. A part of the game that I believe makes it so enjoyable, is that it seems like it is a real history, but it also seems impossible. The game itself seems almost like an interactive history textbook for the world that you are playing in.
   Depth.
This game, while not being massive, still feels very open. Most of the world is accessible at any time, so you can always visit flint, or Reggie, no matter when you want to.  As you play, the world gets bigger and bigger, and stronger and stronger enemies arise. The game takes hours to beat and you may never fully finish it and learn the full story. (Helpful hint. at the credit scene, keep moving the d-pad.) This is one of the only games that ever made me emotional while playing, and it seems like everything changes, but at the same time, everything stays the same.

   Difficulty.
The controls in this game are standard on the Game Boy advanced. However, some parts of the controls can be a bit fumbly at first. One part of the game that will always be in my mind is the ingenious combat system, With a good knowledge of your team, and a strategic use of items, you can overcome huge disadvantages, but if not you can be easily defeated. This game keeps you on your toes until the very end, so keep your wits about you at all times.
   Overview.
As a game, this is an experience I believe everyone should have, the story is emotional, deep and immersive. The graphics are timeless, and the sound is stunning. The world is massive, and you will keep coming back to play it again and again. I may go so far as to call this game the Skyrim of the GameBoy.

best. game. evah!   clearpikmin
ahhh! mother 3, the best game in the series! but exactly why did i give it a near- perfect raiting?
sprites:
they're okay. they're better than earthbound. they are really the best for a GBA. kind of shocking, when critics say that earthbound had horiblle sprites. i say there avarage for the era, but okay. whatever.
sound:
if you want awsome songs, head no furthur!  most songs are awsome and in place, including battle songs! they also have neat sound effects! in battle, you can even do button presses to the beat to do more damage! cool! that is kind of out of place, but still! i mean, how I said a part of the gameplay in the sound part. but yeah. you get it, right? and yes, i'm going for red jersey. i need 700 words. in this reveiw. or maybe not.
depth:
mostly what makes this game adictive is is depth. and boy, it has a lot of it! i could go on and on and on and on and on! but i'll just stick with this:
1: frogs
frogs are the saving points. they are also atms, but they use DP as currency. and once you get over that, you find they're everywhere! they're in moutains, deserts(they even have a reason for that,) and atics! you could also find a old frog, ghost frog, frog in a car, fyrog in a snake, and even a green mole cricket! they even have a poem! (the frogs, not the mole crickets.)
i mostly have nothing to say.

Mother of all games   ender44
Lucas, the character most people saw on super smash bros brawl and went,"hey where's that guy from?" This game is the sequel from earthbound, a fantastic game that wowed us with its original storyline and great new game play. This game has most certainly earned its place with the games of the earthbound series. This game will introduce the characters that will defeat the evil forces of the pigmasks and fassad once and for all eternity.
GRAPHICS: this game took a huge step up from earthbound, making it look more eye appealing, and with less ridiculous looking characters (take that porky). The graphics of the gameboy advance allow you to get rid of that annoying menu that you always had to pull up in earthbound to do things. The gameboy advance graphics made this game a much better one than it actually would have been if they had released it as planned for the N64DD.
SOUND: The music in this game really puts you in a PK: FIRE! Kind of mood if you know what I mean. The sound brings you into the world of PSI, evil, and action. And sounds pretty awesome for lack of a better phrase.
Addictiveness: oh...yes. I had to look at the clock constantly because I feared I would get too drawn into this fantastic game. The story line will draw you in and keep you in, until you realize that after a while, you have to feed your pets, eat, and drink, even though that means taking a break from this game.
STORY: yep, the story of this game is better than what you will see anywhere else. The story of Lucas, duster, kumatora, and boney will keep you in that chair while you play, and you most certainly will not leave because whenever you think your at a boring part in the story, stay there another 5 seconds and you will be proved wrong.
Depth:unfortunately, there inst too much to do in this game that I have found besides following the storyline which is still awesome regardless.
Difficulty: Getting used to the new style of fighting, the new bosses and enemies, and keeping track of everyone on your team can be a lot of work... a LOT of work.
Thanks for reading,
Ender44

Mother 3 review   mario166
Hello, and welcome to my second review! Let's begin.
OVERALL- I love this game, yet it always brings nostalgia to me, and sometimes makes me cry. That alone though does not make it a good game.
GRAPHICS- I give the graphics a 9. For being a rather old game, these graphics amaze me to no end! I admire how detailed Nintendo and APE made some of the people and enemies!
SOUND- I love the music of the entire Mother series, so I give this sound an 8. That's a pretty good rating, yet I feel the sound is... Incomplete, so to say. I feel as though it needs a little more sad music in the end. Sure a kid did the impossible, and saved the world, but he- I'll just save this for the story.
ADDICTIVENESS- I give the addictiveness a 10. When I started playing, I got halfway through the game! Not due to skills, but because I couldn't stop playing! Not to eat, sleep, use the toilet, or to talk to friends.
STORY- The story is sad, yet it captures the audience with sorrow and joy at the right moment! Well, that's how I feel anyway.
I don't want to spoil too much, so I won't put everything into full detail, but here is the story!
In the Nowhere islands, in the mountains, a woman named Hinawa (or whatever you named her) is visiting her dad with her 2 twin kids, Lucas and Clause. Lucas is a small, frail, cry baby of a kid, while his brother Clause is the exact opposite! While Lucas is still sleeping, some animals known as Dragos, they are like dragons or something, bring over their new baby to play with Lucas and Claus. The dragos love it when Claus play fights with them, and runs into them. Lucas finally wakes up, gets dressed, and learns how to hold down an imaginary button called the "B" button. Everything seems fine, until some pig masked men show up and burn down the forest! Lucas dad, Flint, goes and saves a young boy named "Lighter" and it  starts to rain. Lucas and his family have not made it back yet, so Tazmilly Village sends out a search party containing all the villagers, They find Lucas and Claus in a river, and soon later find Hinawa dead. The cause of her death was the Dragos, who had been turned into Chimera due to Pokey/Porky. A few years later, Lucas goes on a quest to avenge his mother, and find Claus, his now missing brother. Claus went missing when he tried to avenge Hinawa. In the end, Lucas and his dog, Boney, and their two friends Duster and Kumatora go to New Pork City, meet Pokey/Porky, and fight him. You'd think he is the final boss, but just be patient. They continue up a path, and find "Masked Man." Lucas finally realizes who this man is!
SPOILER!!!-----
The Masked Man is Claus, Lucas lost brother! Claus thinks he is a robot, and fights Lucas. This is where the game gets tough, because sometimes Lucas will stop and just cry... It always makes me sad... Lucas finally wins, but at the cost of a life... Lucas has killed Claus to save the world.
SPOILER END!!!---
Lucas pulls the final magical needle, releasing the Black Dragon who will reset the world, and make it free of Pokeys' evil. The world is safe, but Lucas family has been torn apart because of the evil. In the end, Lucas grows to be a strong young man, and learns about his PSI powers. His quest is over, yet his friendship is not.
And that's the story!
DEPTH- If you didn't find that story to be sad, or interesting, I have no clue what you will look for in games. I give the depth a 10!
DIFFICULTY- Mother 3 was not at all too hard, only at the end there did it start to become a challange. Just do a lot of grinding on the Wild Bores, or at the Lightning Tower.
I, mario166, highly recommend this game to people who are looking for a good game!

The best in the series   Toadette990
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! i love all the characters especially Kumatora and Boney the Story is amazing and it has a lot of depth in it it made you fell sad and happy in a matter one 10 minutes between the story of Hinawa dieing and Claus going to kill the Drago and in the end we find that Claus is the masked man and unfortunately dies in the end makes you feel the depth in the game one of the best parts is when porky gets himself trapped in the absolutely safe capsule which in the end didn't matter because the world was saved going through all the chapters and playing as a ton of different characters all with amazing personalities and the funny parts like eating the magic mushrooms it really made me laugh when i found out i went into a dirty water with garbage all around it instead of a hot spring and when Ionia creepily goes up to Lucas' back really weird but funny none the less and when another magypsie I believe Mixolydia hits you with a log to snap you out of it she even hits boney though he didn't eat the mushrooms and they see it as a pretty lady then they find out it was her. It did have its sense of difficulty but they didn't make it too hard The  bosses were really fun to fight especially the giant porky statue which is a really easy boss if you have a new years eve bomb i would recommend this game to anyone who likes to have fun!!!

Mother 3 Review :D   claudevandog
I loved Earthbound. And Mother 3 is even better! Mother 3 is a turn based rpg only sold in Japan. In Mother 3 It's just a normal day for Lucas and his family, Claus and him go play with the dragos. Later after dinner Hinawa (Lucas and Claus's mom) writes a letter to Flint (Lucas and Claus's dad.) When the letter gets to Flint there is a forest fire! Flint and Thomas go to save Lighter and Fuel. After everyone gets saved from the fire Flint goes back in the forest where he meets Duster and sees a piece of Hinawa's dress in a branch. Later in chapter 1 Flint finds out that the pig masks turned the drago into a cimara and it turned evil and killed Hinawa. This makes flint go crazy and try to attack people with a log that's on fire. He ended up in jail but Claus got him out by giving him an apple with a nail file in it. After that Claus is missing for a long time.
GRAPHICS - 9: It doesn't have the best graphics on the Game boy Advanced, but they still look pretty good.
SOUND - 10: I would do 11 if it was possible. The music in this game is amazing. There are 250 songs in this game. 250!!!
Addictiveness - 10: I could probably play this game 5 times and it would not get old at all!
STORY - 10: Not only are there funny parts, but there are even sad parts that could easily bring tears.
DEPTH - 10: The game is really long, and you can also try getting all the front and back sprites, and 16 hit combos.
DIFFICULTY - 10: It's not too hard but there are some tough bosses and a secret hard mode.
OVERALL - 10: Along with Earthbound this is my favorite game.
***SPOILER ALERT*** ***DO NOT CONTINUE UNLESS YOU FINISHED MOTHER 3 BEFORE***
After beating Porky in chapter 8, Your final challenge is to defeat the masked man and pull the final needle. But Flint informed you that the masked man was Claus the whole time. So now you have to kill your brother. When you confront the Masked man he shoots a bolt of lightning that knocks out everyone but Lucas. Lucas cant attack in the fight so all you can really do is guard. Soon Lucas and Claus hear Hinawa talking saying things to Claus about him not being Porky's robot and to stop fighting, slowly Claus's attacks do less and less damage and the battle background fades brighter and brighter. Soon you see a cut scene of Lucas and Claus as babies with Hinawa and Flint in the background talking, saying how Lucas and Claus will probably accomplish things together that they couldn't do alone and may argue sometimes and that they will grow up to be kind. After that the music changes and Lucas isn't sure what to do anymore. Claus's attacks get really small. He shuts his eyes and plugs his ears. Then Hinawa talks to him one more time and he removes his mask, showing his face. Then he shoots an intense blot of lightning that reflects off of Lucas and hits him, making him DIE. And when Lucas pulls the final needle, it causes mass destruction. Lucky for him everyone is okay. After that the credits roll, and the game is over.

Mother 3 = Earthbound 2???   hyperflareman12
Great at Mother 1. Won at Earthbound. Are you ready for a........KICK IN THE PANTS!!!What??..Hey Hyperflareman12 is back more Earthbou-.. I mean Mother 3 ;_;. Why I'm sad you my ask. Well...it's a long story ,friends. I'm doing a review on one the more darker GBA games. It's name is.....Mother 3. Don't get me wrong , it's a fun game, but it is very sad indeed. The squeal to Earthbound is such a sad game. Strange, is it. I to do not know why it is so sad. The setting is on the Nowhere Islands, in the town of Tazmilay. The revolves around a small family. The father ,Flint,The mother,Hinawa, The hyper active son,Claus, The shy, quiet son,Lucas.(He reminds me of me when I was younger, except not blonde)and he is the main hero. One day , Hinawa,Claus, and Lucas went to visit Alec ,Hinawa father, past the sunshine forest. Flint wanted to stay to tend to the sheep. When Hinawa sent a carrier pigeon to Flint , a strange machine flew over and then.....CHAOS. Weird men in pig suits started setting fires, stealing animals and harming the Eco-system(OH-NO). Nah , just kidding guys but, they were make fire and taking animals. After that Hinawa dies trying to protect her children from a re-mechanized Draco, one a mother now a beast but it live after a battle of vengens with Flint and Claus was see at the Draco mountain. But no one could find him. As time past many strange thing hope about. A mysterious peddler shows up.A man (who is a thief) disappears. A princesses of the castle near the town. All leads up to the sad,yet amazing ending(and plot twists) in Mother 3. Thank You again for read this new review. Good-bye.

Mother 3 Review   Zircron Swift
As time went by, I learned that some games aren't just about getting from point A to B to complete the game. Some games are more than just slashing and hacking your way through hoards of enemies to rescue a damsel in distress. Some games will try and bring out the emotion of the player for a more in depth experience. I have also come to realise that the most important aspects of this are the story and the music. I can't work out which does the most, though. Does the music set in motion the story you are experiencing? Or does the story bring out the emotion that the music is holding? I often think it's a bit of both. I am always on the lookout for the perfect combination of music to set the mood perfectly, with a story that will bring up pure, raw emotion enough to make a hard-core gamer like me cry. Over the time I have found games that were sad, and games that make me almost cry from very select few games (cave story is one of them), but none have made me shed a tear. And then I came across this game.....Mother 3.
This is the third game chronologically in the Mother series (hence the "3" in Mother 3), the sequel to Mother 2 (EarthBound in the UK and US). This game was never released in the US or the UK for some odd reason, but thankfully some fans of the series decided to dedicate a few years into an accurate, fan-translated patch for the game. Then somehow someone was able to make this into a ROM of some sorts without the bother of getting the Japan ROM, downloading the patch, getting the right emulator, inserting the patch etc. into this easy to play English version. Thanks! But the reason why I'm here is because I heard there was a killer story to this game, and when there is an awesome story, there is often an epic final boss and a great ending. This is Mother 3.
The story starts off by.....Oh, I can name my family? Well, I like to keep things to the original. Lucas is the soft, fragile son of Flint - who is a respectable person of Tazmily Village - and Hinawa - a very loved person of tazmily Village -, who has a twin brother, named Claus, who is energetic and hasty, almost like the opposite of Lucas. What gets my attention at this screen is the music and the little animations in the top left-hand corner. Claus and Lucas look so cute together (Awwwwww....), and you can just tell they are really close. You don't need to be a genius to see that this family is very happy and they couldn't ask for more. Nothing could tear away the happiness that this family holds, and this is where the bonding with the gaming characters truly begins. Just two minutes on the character naming screen, even before I have even started playing this game, I feel a strong connection with this happy family.....that's a record in my field. You are also asked what is your favourite home made food, and what is you favourite thing. The home made food is obvious, but the favourite thing.....you'll be surprised when that comes round!
The story starts off with an over view of Nowheres Island starting from the Tazmily Village, going over the Sunshine Forest, and ending up at Alec's house (home to Hinawa's farther). You, Lucas, are sleeping on the bed. Claus tells you to wake up and play with the Draco's (must be an odd surname for someone), and says that they brought their baby along. You get up and you get to walk around. Already I am bombarded with so much instant charm. The music sets such a welcoming atmosphere, and you get to check the area. As you make it outside, you can talk to animals, which say quite amusing things. When your done fooling around, you make your way to the Drago's who, funnily enough, look a lot like small dragons/ t-rexs. They are incredibly friendly creatures, so much so they don't mind at all if you run head on into it. In fact they like it.
However, you don't know how to dash, so Alec comes along and tells you to imagine in your mind something like a B button, hold it for a second and then release. Perfect! Breaking the forth wall! I'm sure we'll see more of that in the future. After a while, a Mole Cricket appears and challenging you to fight. This bring you to your first fight. You have up to five options: Attack (your standard melee attack), goods (food and items to help you in battle), special moves (such as various PSI moves you will learn in the future), guard (lowers melee attacks), and run (....no explanation needed). After you crush him like, well, a bug, he swears that he will become tougher the next time they meet, and runs off. Hinawa comes along and tells you that lunch is ready. She even made your favourite. Alec takes this time to break the fourth wall again and tells you personally that you can save by talking to a frog, you know, in case you weren't exploring every nook and cranny and decided not to talk to animals. After which Hinawa sends a sweet letter to her husband Flint, saying they will make it back to Tazmilly Village this evening, and releases the dove, then a mysterious flying object with a menacing tune flies over head.
By now, the charm of the game has overwelmed me. I felt that connection with the gaming character when the letter was being sent. I felt a care for these characters I hardly know. Even though logically there wasn't much dialogue to make effective character development, I felt like I've know these guys all my life and that it wasn't going to end. This game has such power, such amazing grace that it can make me feel attached to the characters within mere minutes of game play. This is it, this is the game I've been looking for. How they do it, I have no idea. If you want to know what happens next, your going to have to play it yourself to avoid me posting spoilers. Now lets look at the other good points of this game.
The graphics are just amazing. I mean this when I say the graphics are the best of any GBA game I've ever played. They are bright, vivid and cute when they want to be, but as the game progresses, the game gets darker and darker.....and darker, and boy, does it get dark in terms of....well, everything. Although the graphics retain their bright and cheery appearance, the story that goes behind every sprite makes them seem different after every chapter. Every chapter I play the village seems different. Every different enemy I encounter captures me in both awe and terror. You can fight pretty much anything, from bats to mice, from slitherhens (a snake with the head of a chicken) to Mecha-Lions, and even trees and guitars. Yes, you can fight trees and guitars. There's even a bonus boss called "Negative Man", which was amusing to kill.
The music is simply beautiful. Believe me when I say the music is the best of any GBA game I've ever played. It sets the mood for every emotional scene perfectly, with no exaggeration. The music for Tazmily Village sets a welcoming tune as if you could live there, while when things get serious, the music picks up, which means that if this peaceful music had to change to suit the mood, then something big is going up. The battle music is various, and is really there to set a different "beat" to a particular enemy. There these things called "sound battles". Each enemy has a unique heart beat which you can hear if the opponent in put to sleep. If you press the A button in time with these beats, then you'll deal an additional attack (which the attack is quite a bit lower than a normal attack). You can do 16 of these additional attacks, which adds up over time.
The game play is much like that of your average RPG, only you can see the enemies that might attack you. If you can, you can sneak up from behind and deal an extra attack before they can turn around. However, if you are not careful, then the enemy might sneak up from and they can deal an extra attack. Sometimes, the enemy might leave a present. This can range from a nut, to a bomb, to some sort of charm. Sometimes, you'll get an NPC in your party, where they can't be selected to attack or stuff like that, but they can do stuff automatically (mostly useless stuff thrown in there for a laugh), which is a nice touch. On a side note, the sparrow that gives sparrow advice is just adorable! You can recover from battles by using hot springs. Yes, hot springs. That makes two game franchises from Nintendo that heal via hot springs. Sometimes, grinding for exp can be a bit of a drag (like many other RPG's), but thanks to the Vizzed Plugin, you can use the left shift to speed through some of the battles, which really helped when I was grinding for levels (providing you saved), but I would only recommend it for that purpose only.
The story is simply a work of art. It's amazing attached you get to the game as you go along the story. There is a perfect balance of funny parts and serious parts. Parts that will make you feel happy and say, and maybe even at the same time. The connection you make to every character is a work of beauty. It's incredible how the story plays out, the music setting the mood perfectly, menacing characters coming in and changing the settings, the build-up of many things. I remember how heavily I breathed and how nervous I felt when I cam across a certain character I was chasing, I remember how happy and relived I felt when I was certain I was going to die, when help came along the way. This is a perfect example of a game that makes you honestly and truly make you feel like you are the main character of the game. This game made me personally feel like I was Lucas, or Duster, or Salsa when I came to play as them.
Overall, I give this game a 9.7/10       Personally, I think this is the greatest GBA game to ever be released. The story, the music, the build-up, everything adds up to an amazing experience that I have never felt before when playing a game. The game is a work of elegant art that touches ones heart and pulls so tenderly at the heart strings that even I cried not one, but twice when playing the game. It's.....beauty in the form of a game. I nearly had trouble reading the text because the tears in my eyes were obscuring the view in my eyes. If you hate sad moments, then this game isn't for you. However, if you want a game that pulls at the heart stings, and one that does it so well that it brings up pure, raw emotion, enough to bring a tear to your eye, to experience happiness and sadness, to experience reUNION and lose, to experience an amazing world with both light and cheery and dark and chilling characters with the true meaning of friendship and support, than this is the game for you. To no exaggeration, this is probably the best story in a video game I have, has and will ever experience ever.

Mother 3 is an Amazing Game.   Popeye116
I tried writing a review for this about 30 days ago, but I accidentally hit a button that made it go to my last page, and everything got deleted with no way to get it all back (it had 800+ words :( ) I'm going to try writing it again, now. Here we go:
Mother 3 is an amazing game. Everything is in sync. The plot keeps you on your toes, The music flows beautifully, and the graphics keep your eyes glued to the screen. It's hard at sometimes, and easy sometimes. What I'm saying is that it is perfect!
Graphics: 9
These graphics are great! I love the cut scenes in this game because the special effects are awesome! The island looks amazing in cut scenes. The terrain and backgrounds are also great. I especially like the graphics on Drago Plateau and in New Pork City. You even look different when you have a side-affect, like nausea. The residents of Tazmily Village also are made good.  The paintings and furniture in the houses also look great. I love how Itoi took the time to customize the paintings, rather than making them look the same. The maps really could use some work, though. You can't really tell where some things are. There is one more thing that makes the graphics great: The battles. All enemies look different when they charge at you or when you charge at them. Rather than in Earthbound, where all of the machines just look like a little cube floating around, Itoi actually customized the looks of the enemies in this game, a huge upgrade from Earthbound! The enemies also look amazing in-battle. The backgrounds may not look as interesting as Earthbound's, but the enemies look better. Anyways , these graphics are great. I give the graphics a
Sound: 10
Who couldn't love the sounds in this game? There is not one song or sound in this game that has disappointed me. The sounds are simply perfect! Some of my personal favorites from this game are the Theme of Love, Serious,  Natural Killer Cyborg, and Porky's Pokies. You just can't beat the sound in this game. The sound at the beginning causes you to stare at the screen, waiting to see where the cut scene leads you. The sound always matches perfectly with what's going on. For example, when you wake up, the music is soothing. When something is happy, happy music plays. When something is sad, sad music plays. Also, the music matches up with the place you are in. In the forest, the music is fast and sort of scary. In Tazmily Village, the music is nice and soothing. In New Pork City, the music is loud and exciting. The music while battling is one of the best things about the music, though. It matches with the enemy. Some of the songs are "Piggy Guys",  "Hustle for Pride",  "intense guys", "troublesome guys", and "Serious" (most of the battle songs have "guys" at the end). There's also another thing with the battle music. You can combo, unlike in Earthbound. And do you know what is so cool about doing combos? Well, the only way to combo is to press A with the beat of the music. That is such a creative, fun, and challenging way to combo. I like it a lot more than random combos. Also, you combo with musical instruments. Your instrument plays three different melodies (doing a triple note combo plays three different melodies. Doing a six note combo plays three melodies twice, and so on. I think that there are nine melodies for each instrument, and they are put into groups of threes) along with the rhythm of the song, making an amazing harmony. All of the controllable characters have different instruments. For example, Lucas's is a keytar, Claus's is a sitar, Duster's is a Bass, Salsa's is a synthesizer, Flint's is a saxophone, and so on. The biggest combo you can get is a 16 note combo. It's challenging to master, and the combos help many times in the game. Anyway, I just LOVE the music. If you play the game, you would love it too. The music is amazing, and definitely deserving of a 10.
Addictiveness: 8
This game is pretty addicting. There are many easter eggs and things to find out. One of those easter eggs is if you battle every enemy, and attack every single enemy from behind and from the front at least once, something happens. I'm sorry, I haven't done it yet, so I don't know what happens XD. Anyways, this game is very addicting. I'm actually doing a walkthrough on it right now. You can find it on the game's page or on my youtube profile: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheeBigDerp/videos?view=0&flow=grid . You will be very likely to play this game again, and I give it's addictiveness an 8.
Depth: 9
Honestly, this game probably wouldn't take any longer than a month to complete (if you play about  an hour a day). But, it's a whole 'nother story if you want to find the easter eggs and do everything. Have you ever tried to talk to every single person in an RPG? Well, it takes a lot of time. You should try it, though. Itoi has a good sense of humor. Also, it takes a VERY long time to get the 1/128 items from enemies (though I once got one on my third try :P). There's also some more easter eggs, like the one I listed in "addictiveness" it would take a while to do that easter egg, because some enemies are hard to find. You could try to challenge yourself to do a goal, like getting flint to level, say, 30 before defeating the drago. Trying to master 16 hit combos is fun, but hard,  and you should try it.  In this game, you can press F2 to save your state anywhere in-game and F4 to load it, so if there's a Yes or No question, you could try both answers and see the responses  without having to take 20 minutes to go to your old save point and having to get all the way there. This game has a lot of stuff to do, pretty much! The Depth is a 9, without a doubt.
Difficulty: 7
This game's difficulty varies. It can be hard sometimes, and easy sometimes. Bosses can get very annoying. You may even have to just keep on beating up normal enemies just to gain levels!  It's mostly easy, though. You might get stuck at some parts. I admit, I had to use a walk-through at times. I'd like to see you try without using a walkthrough... The Jealous Bass is one of the hardest bosses, along with some others that I won't spoil. The last boss is also very hard. Many parts in this game are easy. some parts you just have to walk around and talk to people, and not battle anything! The enemies can be hard near the end. It's not the difficulty that makes the game fun, it's the story. I  would give the difficulty a 6 1/2, but it won't let me, so I give the difficulty a 6
Story: 10
Finally, we come to the story of this game. The story of this game is what made it my favorite, along with the music. The story is...amazing. It keeps you on your toes, it excites you, it makes you happy, and it makes you said. Itoi made Mother 3 very deep, unlike all of the other games in the "Mother" series. You really connect to the characters and their story in this game. I just love the story. The game is pretty much about the crybaby Lucas, The energetic Claus, who is Lucas's older twin, Princess Kumatora of Osohe Castle, Duster the Thief Of Justice, Boney, who is Lucas's dog, Flint, the respected cowboy of Tazmily Village and father to Lucas and Claus, Hinawa, who is the wife of Flint and loving mother of Lucas and Claus, and Salsa the Monkey. These characters all connect to each other somehow. In the beginning, you get to name Lucas, Claus, Hinawa, Boney,  and Flint! Oh, you can name your favorite thing and food, too! We go to a cut scene with epic music, taking a look at the Nowhere islands. The cut scene ends at Alec's House, where we find that Claus is knocking at Lucas's door, telling him that the Drago's are next door and that he has to wake up to play. Lucas tiredly wakes up and goes downstairs (you can ram Hinawa for some nut bread!). He tries to go outside, but Hinawa tells him to change out of his jammies. If you decline, she will tell you that you can just stay inside for the rest of your life, so you basically have to say yes. Once he changes, he goes outside to a sunny Tazmily Village, with happy, fun music playing. Lucas goes next door to the Dragos, and, WOAH! The dragos are actual dinosaurs!!! He talks to Claus, who excitedly tells him to try ramming a drago! Alec comes by to explain to Lucas that he needs to imagine a thing called a "b button" in his head. He needs to hold that "b button" and release it to ram. Here you can try ramming into every drago to get different reactions. You can also try ramming into Claus and Alec! Once you're done ramming, talk to Claus and a mole cricket will appear! The mole cricket challenges you to a fight. You whoop his butt, and he says that he will meet you at the mole cricket stadium...bro. Hinawa comes by saying that she stepped on a mole cricket, and hopes that it isn't hurt. She says that your favorite food is ready, and they rush inside to eat lunch. Alec explains that frogs are what you save with, and then goes inside to eat. Lucas, Claus, and Hinawa have a brief conversation. Hinawa goes outside to release a letter to her husband, Flint, saying that she hoped that he would've came with her and the kids. She releases the letter and walks down the porch when a mysterious flying object flies overhead playing a menacing tune...The rest you will have to play to find out yourself. Anyway, the story is great. Itoi has a great sense of humor, so he throws in many funny things that will have you laughing. The story is amazing. You really should play this game and see it for yourself. I definitely give this game's story a 10
Other Improved things
There are some more things improved from earthbound. You actually know the people's names in Tazmily Village, rather than it just saying "man" or "woman" or "guy".  Also, the new combo thing is cool. You can also dash now so you don't walk as slow. There are also new special skills, like duster's wall staples and flint's Power Smash. There are also new items like the new year eve's bomb that lowers an enemies HP down to 1. Also, a certain place and character returns from the other game! bOiNG! There are many easter eggs to find in this game. There is also a feature that allows you to practice against enemies, and a feature that allows you to listen to the music from the game! I like that feature. Though some stuff is downgraded, there are many upgraded things.
Wrap things up
Altogether, this game is my third favorite game (minecraft and need for speed most wanted are my second and first), but it is my favorite game for a handheld console. The story is amazing, the music is beautiful, The graphics are eye-popping, it is addicting, and has a lot of depth. The story is so deep. This game is a HUGE improvement from Earthbound and Mother 1, and I think that it is better than most GBA games ( I said most, not all.). I would recommend that anybody and everybody should play this game, and any other game in the "mother" series, as it is an amazing series. If you play it you will not be disappointed. Trust me.

My first time with Mother 3 and I loved it.   grantjking14
This game is incredible. I have never played it before Vizzed but I have played super smash bros. brawl. Ness is one of my favorite characters on the game and I was scared he would be replaced by Lucas. Now back to the actual game. Mother 3 was only released in Japan but was translated to English by some wonderful people. This games story is that Lucas and his brother's mother Hinawa is killed by a Drago. Drago's are normally very peaceful and enjoy playing with the humans. However, strange men begin creating hybrid robo-dragos and send them off to kill people. When Hinawa is killed her husband Flint goes off to hunt down the drago that killed her. This spins off into an adventure of many parts that includes two children with extraordinary powers and their loving father. Along the way you will discover friends as well as foes and secrets upon secrets.

Mother 3, the unsung hero of RPGs   Nomore06
Mother 3 was an amazing game in nearly all of its aspects, save the head ache of Fassad's healing, and proved that, even though the best games tend to be ruined through sequels ("We'll all meet again in Spaceballs Two: the Search For More Money"), an acceptable sequel could stay within the same range within the original, not overshadowing or turning completely awful. RPGs happen to be able to carry on a story easier than other genres, considering their power comes from the story, Earthbound was an incredibly closed game, and, let's face it: seeing the Earthbound gang reunite to fight the unoriginal enemy of the week sounds cool at first, but the more it's thought about, the worse it gets. So, they made a good move when they decided, for the second time in the series, to forget the previous characters, with the exception of theories surrounding the Gigue-Giygas relation and the creation of Porky's empire. and meet an entire new cast, but this is merely how they made the game, and it already sounds pretty good, right?
Music is another important part of the Mother series (the first two being about "melodies") and Mother 3 did this right. Admittedly, Earthbound will still beat out both its predecessor and its successor, but it's not uncommon to see a certain final boss's theme on a top X list.
The graphics were pretty good, as far as RPGs go, not much complaint, the surrealism of the game does impress someone compared to the sprite of a blob with a face (yes, I'm talking to you Pokémon). Of course, someone who expects to see the best graphics ever from a RPG will be disappointed.
The game play was incredibly similar to Earthbound, which is what one would accept, but come on, nothing new? Other than changed physic abilities and more specialties pertaining to certain characters, there wasn't much difference between this and its predecessor. Also, as I'm not someone who likes to go "Data Diving" the previous game's functions were most likely the same in this game (I know it was moved from the N64 to the gameboy, but the point remains the same).
While the game is pretty amazing throughout it, other than the above mentioned things, there is one more concept that I would be immoral not to warn about, Point of no return. This is filled withing the game, not being "level based" but have a timeline feature that prevents gaining certain things after a certain point. Other than that, amazing
Anyway, I honestly believe that everyone should at least watch this game at some point, it truly proves that video games can be art.

Mother 3   NGT241
Mother 3 is a great game to long term fans of the series. Not released outside of Japan this was a great surprise when I found it on the site.
Graphics:
The graphics were great. Other than the backgrounds in the battles I don't think I found one bad pixel in the game.
Sound:
An amazing soundtrack, no peice from the game made me want to turn the game off. It always immersed me into the surroundings of the game.
Addictiveness:
A game I always find myself coming back to. No part of the game made me feel bored. There was always more to do and no breaks inbetween.
Story:
Like the sound, the story was great. Never a dull moment. Wether I felt sad or happy the story always was a strong point in the game.
Depth:
Alot of detail was put into the game. Each enemy was different; each area was different and every character was distinct.
Difficulty:
The game can be hard if you try to breeze through it. If you keep your levels high and battle all the enemies the games' bosses will be the only big challenge.
Overall the game is great, a good balanced difficulty; alot of detail; an amazing story, addictive and a joy to look at and listen to. A great play to any RPG fan. The strongest point of the game however is the way it can make you convey all of your emotions, especially sorrow.

Mother 3   I812
Hi it's me I812 with another retro game review. This time I'm going to be reviewing Mother3 for the GBA. Mother 3 is the third installment to the mother series, and the sequel to earthbound. Unfortunately the game was only released in Japan. But I guess you guys already knew that. So before I get started with this review, I'm gonna tell you guys something some of you may not know. Did you know that before the game was released for the GBA they we're planning on making the game for the N64. And was going to be called earthbound 64. But it was scrapped because of software limitations. So with all of that stuff out of the way. Let's get started with the review.
Graphics: 10/10.
The graphics are Amazing. The bright colors and the effects are very good for the GBA. The colors also fit perfectly with the environment's.
Sound: 1010.
This...pretty much explains for itself. But I'll add one more thing. THAT MUSIC!!!
Addictiveness: 10/10.
This game is so addicting, That I once played it for 24 hours straight.
Story: 10/10
The story in this game is just epic. I'm not gonna say anything more because I'm scared that I might accidentally ruin it for you.
Depth: 5/10.
The game is decent in length. Roughly 60 hours to complete it.
Difficulty.5/10
The game itself isn't that hard if you know what you're doing. But some of the bosses can be pretty annoying and difficult.
Summary.
I absolutely recommend that you play this game. Seriously, Stop reading this review and PLAY IT ALREADY! And that concludes this review. Sorry it's so short. But I just got lazy. See ya!

Mother 3 Review   M4g1cW4rr10r
Hey, so it's Earthbound Tw--I mean Mother 3...? Let me explain. In the Japanese release of the games the game was called Mother. So the reason why this is only called Mother 3 is? Well, get this. It didn't get a US release, which is kind of a shame since this is a really good game. Thankfully, the Mother/Earthbound fans have created this English translation for everyone to play. So, let's dive right into Mother 3.
Graphics: 10
This game is very beautifully crafted with great looks and detail, similar to Earthbound. I can't say a whole lot about it, it's almost exactly like Earthbound's art style, which is also very beautiful.
Sound: 10
The music is once again very catchy and memorable, with sad, frantic, dark, or possibly foreshadowing a bossfight, along with some upbeat happy pieces that are very nice, like Saturn Valley.
Addictiveness: 10
The addictive nature of the game is back. You'll later figure out that you can get back and front sprites of enemies, which show up in the Battle Memory. (You get it later in the game.) Getting these is part of getting a 100% clearance, and some can be easily missed. But aside from that, Mother 3 is still an RPG that I continue playing along with Earthbound.
Story: 9
At first glance, the game seems to have no relevance to the past events of Mother 1 and 2. (Although some people look slightly similar, like Bateau, who looks like Picky.) You and your family live in Tazmily village, on Nowhere Islands, two islands with one mountain on each island surrounded by endless water. However, much later in the story, you'll see some pieces starting to come together from the ending of Earthbound.
Depth: 10
The story is very sad at some times, but the story continues to make you wonder what's going to happen next. The characters are very detailed, and I think that I fail with words to try to describe them. Now, I should explain some of the characters so you can understand how the story is so deep at times.
Lucas: Lucas is a gentle, kind boy. Though is kind of a crybaby, he is honest and loves his family. He is the younger twin of the family.
Claus: Claus is an energetic boy, who is very courageous. He is the older twin of the family.
Flint: Flint is the father of the twins Lucas and Claus and husband of Hinawa. Though you never really see his face behind his hat, this could be a foreshadow that Flint could possibly be...
Hinawa: The loving mother of the twins and wife of Flint. She acts a guardian to help Lucas and Claus when she can.
Duster: Duster is Wess' son. He has been trained to be a thief, and can use the Wall Staple, to make a path up scalable walls.
Kumatora: Kumatora is your only permanent female party member. Unlike Ana and Paula who were both stereotypical girls, Kumatora is a tomboy. (And one of my favorite Mother characters.) She can use PSI to fight her opponents.
Difficulty: 6
The game has easy and tough situations. There are some hidden optional bosses that can give good items, but prepare for a fight of your life, as they are hard. One boss, the Steel Mechorilla, be prepared, as it is no joke. Other than that, It's slightly hard but still maintaining the difficulty.
Overall: 9.5
Mother 3 is a very great game, but I just wish we could have an official US release, and as far as I know, it has been announced no more Mother games are going to be made. But, that's not entirely true, I suppose. There's a fanmade Mother 4 being made. So, will this final add-on to the Mother series go on to further generations of gaming greatness, or will it be the one that ends the franchise from further sequels? We can only pray from the bottom of our hearts.

Mother 3 review   Lucaria
THIS GAME IS BEAUTIFUL! It earned my overall ten.
Graphics:
They are okay. Still, this game has one of the best graphics for the game boy advance. The fact that the side view always shows Lucas smiling is a little weird , because if Boney died, Lucas would be smiling at a side view.
Sound:
TEN! The songs set just the right mood for the story line. Music is more important than people might think to a game. The sound player is pretty nice because you can listen to all the songs you've heard so far in MOTHER 3.
Addictiveness:
Well, this category is a little hard to judge. I think it is a six. Its not that addicting, but not completely non addictive either. The main reason this is addictive is the story makes you THINK, and not many games do that nowadays. While playing, you can compare the transformation of Tazmily to people in real life. Just like the Tazmily villagers, people have changed. Kindness is not top priority anymore, now it's money. The Earth went from many trees and beautiful places of nature to places like New Pork City.
Story:
BE CAREFUL, SPOILERS ARE NEXT!!!!!!!!!

The story is pretty sweet and nice, but exciting too. It starts out with a young boy, Lucas, at his grandpa's house. That day he goes home, with his mother,Hinawa, and his older twin, Claus. On the way home, they are attacked by a strange mechanical creature, the Mecha-Drago. Hinawa dies as she saves Claus and Lucas by pushing them into a river.
The twins are found later by the Tazmily villagers. Their father, Flint , meets them wrapped in blankets and is told Hinawa is dead. Flint is so full of grief, he lashes out and punches two people, having to be knocked unconscious.
The story goes on from there. In Chapter 2, a thief named Duster is sent on a mission to infiltrate Osohe  Castle. He comes back with a Noble Spittoon, only to be called a moron by his father, Wess.
Wess and Duster return to Osohe castle to find out that a mysterious pig like army is invading it. They call themselves "the Pigmask Army". Inside the castle is Kumatora, the princess of Osohe. She joins them on their mission to retrieve a special object. Kumatora has an ability called PSI, letting her send out fire, ice, and thunder.
Eventually, the trio reaches a  strange room, and inside is....... an egg. This was the real special item Wess wanted. Kumatora rashly grabs the egg, setting off  a trap. Kumatora, Duster, and Wess fall through the castle, finally splashing into a pit of water. They fight the Oh-So snake and afterwards are swept away by water.
When Kumatora and Wess wake up, they are inside a log cabin with Lighter and Fuel from Tazmily Village. Duster is missing, and stays that way for three years.
Chapter 3 is about a monkey named Salsa. He is at the mercy of a fat guy named Fassad, who is working for the pigmasks. Fassad also happens to be Locria, who is a creature called a Magypsy. The chapter shows what Salsa did to affect the story. This is admittedly my favorite chapter, despite all the animal cruelty Fassad does to Salsa.
Chapter 4 switches back to Lucas, who's house has been struck by lightning. Every house in the modernized Tazmily now has a "happy box" which is like a TV. It brainwashes you into thinking that the Pigmask Army is great. Boney comes along if you talk to him.
Wess tries to stop Fassad, who is talking is the middle of the now "Town". He is then sent back to an old folks home, which used to be his house. Lucas drops by and is asked to go to Club Titiboo by Wess. Rumors have been going around that one of the members of the band that plays there, the DCMC (Desperado Crash Mambo Combo), is Duster. Wess wants to know for sure. Lucas is given a pigeon to send back if Duster is found.
Lucas and Boney almost aren't let inside, but a waitress named "Violet" comes along and vouches for them. It turns out Violet is actually Kumatora (Like someone can't tell!).
After the DCMC concert, Kumatora leads Lucas and Boney through a secret passage that leads directly above Lucky's room. He is the bass player that looks like Duster. Lucky is actually an amnesic Duster. To decide if he goes or stays, Lucas plays "Stone, sheet, clippers" (rock, paper, scissors) against the other DCMC members. After Lucas wins (it's impossible to lose) Duster reveals that he hid the egg in Unknown Valley. Duster joins the group to recover the egg.
After the egg is found, Duster suddenly gets back all his memories .
Later, Lucas goes on a quest to pull the seven needles to stop the Pigmask Army. I could say more, but you get the idea.
END OF SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Depth:
The game is pretty deep.
Difficulty;
This game is not very difficult most  of the time. There are boss battles that have cheesed me off, but you just need the right tactics and preparation to beat them. Grinding can be annoying, but I haven't really done it too much. Some enemies can really frustrate you, for example Pigtunias. The can scatter seeds sometimes and make another Pigtunia, so it could be a long battle.
IN CONCLUSION, THIS GAME IS COMPLETELY, TOTALLY, AND UTTERLY AWESOME

Mother 3, A Glory Only Japan May Know.   naco26withcheese
Mother 3 is a game that's more than near and dear to my heart for an absolute multitude of reasons, all easily developed through the beauty of the game. Due to the fact that this game was never released outside of Japan, Western audiences have had the horrible misfortune of not being able to play this wonderful game. This is largely what hit the Mother series as a whole, leaving what could be called on one of the most beautiful games, out from the rest of the group. However, thanks to a well-dedicated fanbase, and translation team, this game is now in smooth, sweet English. To say almost anything about the story of this game would be to spoil it in SOME aspect, and this game is best enjoyed free of spoilers. I will reveal no major spoilers in this review, but if you haven't played Mother 3 by now, I would definitely recommend you get a decent amount into the story in order to get the full effect, but if not, there will only be slight spoilers that won't reveal or ruin anything major about the game.
Ordinarily, some people may know Lucas from the franchise of Super Smash Bros., but some don't bother to see his back story, why he is a mysterious boy who's always seemingly depressed with magic powers. There's way more to tell about Mother 3 than any other game other than the main series could ever explain. Mother 3 is a game about a young boy, Lucas, and his family who live in the Nowhere Islands (in the middle of nowhere, perhaps?) with his father, Flint, mother, Hinawa, brother Claus, and his loyal, somewhat bipedal dog, Boney. They all live in the sleepy village of Tazmilly, where charity blooms like sunflowers, and money is absent from the everyday life of the villagers. Everyone knows one another, and helps each other out on a daily basis, giving out food, items, and generally caring as one of the most tightly knit communities present in any gaming world. Lucas tends a farm with his father and brother. Lucas's mother lives up in the woods with her father, Alec. On visits to Hinawa's house, Claus and Lucas both play with the Dragos, which are giant, almost terrifying dinosaur creatures that are as docile and playful as the young Lucas himself. Lucas is somewhat coddled and a bit of a crybaby sort of hero, and Claus is the more rambunctious, eager youth that pushes Lucas to have more fun, but their brotherly connection is strong and almost normal. Everyday life seems to be as wonderful as can be, until a strange disturbance disrupts the flow of the world itself. The Pigmask army attempts to rig the animals into Chimeras, half animal, half robotic creatures, their free will tangled with cords, electricity, and harsh, cruel rule. As Lucas fights his way through, with the help of multiple heroes that he meets along the way, he makes his way to save the world from this threat. Family bonds are tested, horrifying disasters draw unlikely allies together in order to unite, and with plenty of action, secrets, wacky zany characters and PSI as well as the ability to speak with animals, Lucas and company attempt to save the world and uncover the mystery behind the Pigmask army, and his supernatural psychic powers that awaken deep from within his soul.
Graphics: 10
The graphical design of the game is absolutely wonderful, plentiful, and colorful all the way around! There are a plethora of items both essential and not to collect, which each have their own nifty sprites, animations, and beauty as a whole. From characters only a pixel tall, to the battle system's wonderfully, perfectly crafted characters, the graphics of this game match, if not surpass the generous extent that the Gameboy can offer. Even to some of the larger sprites in the game, they don't look stretched or sketchy in the slightest, and the attention to detail for the events, cut scenes, and even the animated backgrounds are breathtaking. The flashing, moving, different waving kinds of wavy animations paint each battle with its own special ambiance that isn't easily recreated.
Difficulty: 6
The difficulty of the story depends largely on whether you're used to RPG's that have only a slight need for grinding. The true difficulty depends on how much you're willing to grind for XP. However, there are difficult points in the game where you may be down a couple of party characters, or get separated at times where you have to make do without their special powers or skills. This can be problematic if you don't stock up on the proper amounts of items, or don't know exactly where to go. Thankfully, the game can be forgiving at certain points, where the opportunity for grinding and gaining XP is plentiful. A bit of the difficulty also depends on luck, but isn't that the same with any game? Some attacks may be stronger than others, or maybe you weren't able to heal your teammate JUST before they were about to die. The thing that prevents this game from being absurdly difficult, is the rolling health meter. Sometimes, the rolling health meter is absolutely essential. Basically, when your party member takes a certain amount of damage, their health meter roles down from their current HP. It can be either fast or slow based upon a couple of factors, such as whether you guard or put up shields. Luckily, the enemies don't get this advantage. Haha! However, when you have to spread healing around to each character in a panic if a group attack should emerge, the system strikes back at you. Overall, the system can give you just enough time to attack instead of healing, in a last ditch effort to outlive the meter. Also, most of the random encounters that you'll come across are visible, and give you the opportunity to set yourself up to sneak up on the enemy from behind to initiate the battle with a first strike, or if the enemy engages YOU from the back, them.
Story: 10
It's an absolute emotional rollarcoaster. The game starts out with a homely ambiance, as you slowly see the the transition of the game from a very cozy environment, to the eventual influence of the Pigmasks, as well as the points in the game where the characters interact with one another, the story, and push it forward in hilarious, heart rending, epic ways. The way that the story entrances you with the task of pulling needles, being in a constant race, and learning more about your psychic ability, there is more than just the storyline to be excited about. New items, powers, areas, and open world exploration that allows you pivot points to backtrack for secrets as well. The story drew tears from my eyes, wrenched my heart, and left me with more questions than the numerous amounts of NPCs could answer to me, and that's a small amount of ambiguity left over among the already beautiful story that leaves the player thinking and deducing. On Lucas's quest to pull all of the needles from the earth in order to save the world, the Pigmask army attempts to thwart all of his attempts, and they won't stop at mechanizing every living creature, oh no, they're more than willing to use bombs, tanks, and laser weapons to plow through anyone that dare opposes them.
Addictiveness: 9
The addictiveness of this game lies primarily, and ties in with the Story of the game. Because of the interest factor of the story, and the interesting small details that are brushed by that the ending of the game, opens up a full, interesting, refreshing play through of the game. The little unexplored areas and all the extra, somewhat hidden dialogue at points in the game makes it wonderfully replayable, and watching Lucas and company age all over again, and seeing characters that dissipated as the story makes the game all worthwhile to play again. You'll soon find yourself wanting to trek through areas or face that ONE boss just ONE more time, or maybe try monkeying around with the areas you can go to at different points in the game. Sometimes you'll find you have access to other weapons or hidden bosses you didn't even know where in the game!
Depth: 10
This game overall possesses many elements of surprise and well hidden items, which, a game unlike final fantasy, actually possesses really really useful items, considering how there isn't that many different variations of equipment that you can give to each given character. However, there are points in the story where you can take control of other characters, and use them for your own exploration needs, and at this point in time, there are very specific weapons, and other types of variations of things that you can use in order to gain an edge in each respective chapter. Shared inventory becomes a very interesting perspective, given as you can swap items from character to character, Each containing their own, but allowing swapping of items that one may not have gotten from a different chapter. Overall, the amount of things to do, the secrets to find, hidden routes and small patches of dialogue that are normally accessible make the game a big hunt for every little piece of information that you can squeeze out. Even the bizarre cut scenes that'll help you to associate with each character pepper beautiful amounts of depth to each character. Even the first areas in the game change, the dialogue, the NPC's, all of the rich, dialogue that thrives in each and every area changes and differs overtime, so sometimes when you are very far away from the sleepy village, the characters lives are ever-changing, and the secrets that you can find in areas that you have already explored open up lots of more exploration. The characters, over arching theme, and the grand conflict that brings it all together provides hours upon hours of beautiful gameplay that satisfy any RPG lover.
Sound: 10
The music, oh the beautifully composed, amazing amounts of tracks that thrive and spring to life in this game. Almost every single area has it's own catchy track that's composed with care, and properly fit snug in every situation. The Pigmask theme is foot tapping enjoyable, the home theme makes you feel right in the comfortable, warm embrace of being home, and so on. Not a single song feels out of place, and truly illuminates the game. However, the sounds that adorn the game could absolutely not be muted and obtain the same feel that it creates. Especially because of the intuitive music based battles that isn't apparent in any other game. Each enemy contains their own theme, and when you attack, you can hit the A button along with the beat in order to chain attacks and hit multiple times. Although the game is completely feesable without doing this, the sounds of synchronizing hits with the music strikes a note with the music, creating enjoyable combos that creates a sense of satisfaction when you hit the maximum combo, hearing the crowd cheer and the individual little musical sounds that is unique to each character. A small note that may go unnoticed through the game is the slight variety of monster noises and effects that sprinkle the game with the idea of the sounds of these poor, defenseless warped creatures. Their cries, the animal cruelty aspect of it is something that PETA would be all over, but happily so, Lucas and company are more than happy enough to wack some Pigmasks in order to help these poor creatures.
Overall: 10
Overall, Mother 3 creates a broad, story driven game that leaves amazing checkpoints along the way in your heart that will always make you remember them fondly. Tears will be shed, memories will be made, and you will never forget Lucas' story, or the way that all of the characters pushed together in order to save the entire world. The shattering amount of content and depth that Mother 3 offers in just a small Gameboy cartridge is enough to carry with one for an entire lifetime. Even addressing some current real world issues both directly and indirectly that may have been heavily censored if it WERE ported to the west. The heavy efforts of the translation team that worked on this brought us a story that's entirely special and unique in its entirety. Mother 3 creates a beautiful atmosphere that cannot be bested by almost any other RPG currently out there in terms of heart bending, funny joking, wacky and zany Mother 3, except maybe Earthbound… but that's another review for another time.

Mother of the Mother Series   videogamenerd2
What can I say about Mother 3? A ton of stuff! The Mother series is one of the greatest series of all time, and after Earthbound I would never think any other Mother game would/could top Earthbound. Then I met Mother 3. Mother 3 has great characters, amazing music, and has an outstanding story line.  As for difficulty wise, I believe it has a great easy to hard ratio. Sure, the game can get tricky at times, but it doesn't make you want to throw your laptop across the wall and tear your face off. The story line, oh the story line! What do I have to say to that? Hmm..., maybe, Mother 3 has the best story line of any game I have ever played. After the story line, the next best thing is the music. The music is great and even has to do with attacking. (You have to hit enemies with the beat.)   I'll try not to spoil too much but I'll sum up the beginning quickly.
It's a quiet afternoon here in Tazmily. Two brother, Lucas, and Claus are goofing around the wood cabin they live in. After the two brothers are done playing around, their mother, Hiwana, says they all need to back home. After an emotional goodbye letter to her husband, Flint, the trio heads off through the woods to head home. However, a fire breaks up in the woods! Flint heads off the help people stuck in the forest! Are Hiwana, Lucas, and Claus alright? It's up to you to find out!
Anyway, I would highly recommend you to try out this game! As for now it's a 9.9/10 for me.

Mother 3, a good, but overrated game   Desayuno
I'll try to keep this review spoiler free.
Mother 3 is a great game, definitely worth playing. With that being said, it doesn't quite live up to the glory of Mother 2/Earthbound. It kind of lost much of the quirky atmosphere, but it has improved on some other aspects.
Graphics
The graphics are beautiful. That's all I have to say.
Addictiveness
This is a game that you want to come back to. It's has a bit repetitive game play, but that just adds to the addictiveness.
Story
This is a story-heavy game. It's more serious than other retro games. Chapter 1 left me rather sad. However, the story gets increasingly more cheesy and unrealistic as it progresses, and the ending doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Depth
This is a long game. It's not exactly open world, though, so you might want to explore things thoroughly before moving on.
Difficulty
It is not very difficult. You may need to "grind" a bit, but you will rarely get lost not knowing what to do.

Greatest GBA game?   cooldragon1990
While my review of this game isn't unique by any means, it should still be contributed to your ending opinion of this game.
Mother 3 was never released in the United States. Nintendo just never decided to give us this amazing, yet underrated game. It is the third in the weirdly named Mother series and the sequel to Earthbound or Mother 2 (whichever you prefer) but unrelated other than a villain that appears. Sorry I won't spoil who, but meh, I am sure you can figure it out.
I won't lie, this game isn't for everyone. If it was released in these parts, it would probably get many censors. There are references to transgender people (best moments in the entire game ^_^)sexual innuendo, violence, death, all that happy stuff. The story is heavily mature but the ESRB doesn't rate on heavy emotional themes. It rates according to violence, language, sex, and drugs (you know the fun stuff)
It was thanks to a dedicated group of fans that those of us who don't understand Japanese can play it. These were amazing people in my humble opinion and I am hugely grateful for these people.
Now, unless you have super special powers or something, playing this game outside an emulator for the English version is downright impossible (as far as I am aware) and you will probably need emulators for it.
But I rambled enough about this game. The big question here that I want you to understand is should you consider this game? That is to be debatable. Did you adore Earthbound? If you haven't played Earthbound, I suggest you stop reading my review of it's sequel and play it. It is a great game that I consider essential gaming material.
If you loved Earthbound however, then you are going to like Mother 3. Especially this English translation (as if a person who can't read/understand Japanese can understand the original version) of what is perhaps one of the best GBA games you can possibly play.
But maybe you don't want me to just ramble on and on for eternity on how great this game is and want to hear my review. I am not the greatest reviewer by any means as I like everything I play that captures my attention. This is a game that does so.
But maybe you dear reviewer who decided to read my opinions (as if they mean a lot) on this game are a lot pickier than I am.
First off, this game came out in 2006 toward the end of the lifespan on the GBA. However, due to the already mentioned fact of a non-USA release, the fan reviewer decided to translate it around 2007 and it took about two or so years for it to be readable and all that stuff.
I am not here for all that info and I don't even know if I am being a million percent accurate about all that. You decided to click on me for a review not my little knowledge about this game.
For a GBA game, this has incredible graphics and boasts a fantastic soundtrack. It has the same amount of quirky sound effects that Earthbound had. Which, I think makes a ton of sense considering it is a sequel to Earthbound.
But, this game is extremely upsetting and contains a lot of tragic elements and situations. If you don't like tragicomedies, you probably won't like it too much. Well let me let you in on a little secret.... I don't like them either. Seriously I tear up easily. However, don't let that stop you. This is just as essential as Earthbound is.
The story starts off a little slow. It takes awhile for anything to get exciting or anything. I would say that the truly horrible stuff happens after the first chapter.... actually, that isn't very far into the game now that I think about it. However, this game isn't pure tragedy by any means. The same humor and quirky nature is still in this game. In fact, this game has made me laugh my butt off from the silly situations. Then five seconds later, I would cry that laughter out.
So if you like games with a stellar story, then that is a point for this game. So how is your opinion of this game now? Are you eager to start the game? I think you should take a bit to reflect on your likes and dislikes a minute. The game is an RPG, and you might be wondering how difficult this game is.
Like Earthbound, this game has it's enemies in real time so there are no random encounters. Did you like this about Mothers 1 and Earthbound? (Mother 1 as far as I am aware has also got a Japan only release. But that is a completely different review and situation altogether. I haven't played the full Mother game yet) so if you enjoyed seeing your enemies in real time, you might like this game too. Points?
I am unaware if the same little trick of using the screen to dwindle the enemies works in this game, but the game isn't that hard. Just use discretion on who or what you fight and things will work out for you.
The game is pretty long, boasting 8 chapters and however many long hours of gameplay. If you aren't the kind of gamer to take ages fighting and leveling up and nothing is too difficult for you, then it won't be a huge amount of time. Maybe we are talking 25-30 hours of gameplay give or take a little bit.
Like I said before, this is an essential game to play before you kick the ol' bucket. It is also the 2nd saddest game I have played and boasts an emotional story line. Even if you aren't the kind to cry tears of sadness, you might find your heart breaking a little. A little sadness and comedy in equal or fair amounts, never hurt anyone. If you are sensitive to emotional situations, then evaluate where you are and what you can handle.
I too am sensitive and I turned out alright.... mostly. My final recommendation for this game is 10/10! But I just like everything and consider what I want to play before playing it. I have had pretty good luck in this regard. I hope my review helped in your decision and it wasn't too lengthy or repetitive.

Itoi's Tour de Force.   Accarrio
I have never been a fan of JRPG's. Well besides Pok?mon, the turned base gameplay always bored me, but then I played this game. Mother 3 has an amazing depth in gameplay, sound, and even story. Itoi-- the creator of this game has really out done himself with it. As this story is one of the most emotional, gripping, and heartfelt stories I have ever experienced. You start off naming yourself and your family-- I'll stop right here and say this, if you name the family after your real family it can make this game ten times the more depressing. You name the things you like, favorite food, and even your dog.
Difficulty: 8/10
Unlike the games predecessor you have more variety in your attacks. In EarthBound/Mother 2 you mainly used items or pressed A to bash the enemy, but, in this game it isn't the case. Now each character has their own set of moves. While some may keep the enemy from attacking for a few turns, some may boost your stats for the battle, or even just attack the enemy. And just like the last game you still have your PSI, which is essentially magic in this game. Now all of these changes make the game easier than in Earthbound or Mother 1; but that doe not mean this game is easy. This game does have sudden difficulty spikes that makes you want to firmly embed your keyboard/controller into the screen. Overall difficulty in the game is pretty high, but just seems a bit unfair.
Story: 10/10
As I said earlier, this is one the most gripping stories I have came across in games, movies, and even books. And I'm a bit afraid to talk about it in the fear I may ruin it for those reading this review, so I'll try my best to keep it as spoiler free.?
The story takes place in what seems to be the old western days. One day a fleet of aliens invade their peaceful town, changing most of the animals into chimeras, animals mixed with other animals or even electronics. The Pig Army (the alien group) in the game takes over their town and modernizes it, adding cars, and anything we would see nowadays.
You play as Claus a young boy who lost his mother and brother due to the Pig Army invasion, you play as him as he desperately tries to pull the seven needles in the earth that keep the dragon that their world stands upon from destroying everything in its wake. It's a race against time as a mysterious man whom is simply referred to as "The Masked Man" compete to pull all the needles, if the masked man succeeds you and everything you know shall be destroyed.
Sound: 8/10
When it comes to this game music is really a hit or miss. While there are some songs that really stick out some of the enemy themes are quite forgettable. But when a song is good in this game, they're absolutely amazing, To this day whenever I'm bored I still find myself humming to the Pig Mask Army theme. Or humming Alec's log cabin on long car trips. Even if the songs aren't quite memorable-- I can say this; they are some of the most original and fitting songs for this game. Each enemy has it's own theme, that really fits it. Especially the Bat which play the 1920 Adam West BatMan theme song.?
? Not only are most songs really grand but the sound even plays a big part in the gameplay. Whenever you put an enemy to sleep you can hear its heartbeat, press the attack button to the rhythm correctly and you can get up to fourteen times damage!
Graphics: 10/10
This will be short and sweet. The art style is nice and colorful. it suits the game very well. At times the overworld sprites are nicely animated. And when it comes to the battles, well the sprites are clear and well designed. The backgrounds look like you just raided all of the Smurf's mushroom supplies as they are very psychedelic. Over all the graphics in this game are crisp, clean. All you could want from a GBA game.
Addictiveness:
Simply put. Very. You will find it hard to put this game down because you will just be so invested in the colorful cast of characters, gripping story and the amazing gameplay that I have stated before. There's a reason this game has a cult following ya'know.
Depth: 10/10
This is quite a lengthy game for sure. Even though the game is quite linear there is a lot of things to do. The story in ?this game is extremely long. It took me a good 25-30 hours to beat it. Coming from a simple GBA game that is quite a lot. With all of the training for your four party members and yourself you'll find yourself spending hours on end in this game. And I'm not going to lie, you'll probably inflate your playtime by conversing with all the colorful and witty NPC's this game has to offer. Again, overall this game is lengthy and well worth your time. Now. Stop reading and play this magnificent game! Go on! Garn wiv' yer!

Mother 3 (english translation)   Totts
Although Mother 3 was never officially released outside of Japan, in many ways it is almost a synonymous title with the system. Of course the Mother series has had a long history of elusiveness, the release of the third installment in 2006 had American fans holding their breath in anticipation of a stateside release. Of course within a year the GBA would see its demise for all intents. But that certainly didn’t — and hasn’t stopped fans from enjoying a game just as quirky and outstanding as the first two entries in the series.
Fan communities have gone out of their way to create merchandise such as unofficial strategy guides to help players make it through the Japanese release, while another has made an incredible translation of the Japanese ROM so that English-speakers can experience it on a variety of hardware. A half-decade later collector forums are still discussing English translated reproductions of the actual Game Boy Advance cartridges as Vizzed has reproduced here. Further proof that this is one of the handheld’s most important releases.

I love this game ALOT. Why it didn't come to my country?
Graphics:
I dont care what anyone says, i like these graphics. I think Porky looks MUCH more threatening than in Earthbound.
Sound:
Just search mother 3 ost and you understand why i give it 10 out of 10.
Addictiveness:
I will play it EVERY DAY.
Story:
Pretty funny actually.
It also manages to be dark.
For example, the absolutel safe capsule.
Porky is stuck for eternity, and he will never die. Thats just... Sad.
Depth:
This is TOTALLY not mario party.
Difficulty:
Not very hard. You learn all kinds of new moves along the way.
Overall, its a VERY good game, and you should play it.

My Mother 3 Review   tabookodak5
Graphics:The graphics are very "Colorful," There is a large variety of sprites, and there is even some unused ones if you add in some cheats!
Sound:The sound can be very dark of happy and cheery, depending on what scene your on, And the game introduces a new thing that allows you to deal more damage depending on how you do the beat, 16 hits is maximum. So if you encounter a enemy, There is a chance you will do 16 hits!
Addictiveness: This game is wonderful and it is worth playing again and again. For more info,
See "Depth"
Story:(The rules are no spoilers, so i will not say much about it then to say it is a very good story)
Depth:The game has a handful of bosses and time-killing, and you can practice your hit skills in a future item.
Difficulty:The difficulty is kinda between hard and easy, Because the future bosses are kinda hard,
and that is all im going to say about this for now.

This game, while not nearly as epic as Earthbound, still is my top 5 epic moments in gaming. This is also the third game to make me cry. The graphics are incredible and just makes the world stand out. Definitely worth the heart break it gave me.
