Mega Man X: Hard Type is a re-balance and stage redesign hack which aims to enhance the difficulty to provide a fresh new experience to veterans of the platform genre. This mod has a simple, yet complex objective: to give players a renewed and fresh experience, to make them feel the challenge once again.

General list of changes:
• Every stage is redesigned entirely.
• Initial max HP decreased to 10.
• HP gained with each Heart Tank decreased to 1.
• Infinite lives.
• Invincible time after hit, buffed from initial 60 to 70.
• Initial Ammo reduced from 28 to 20. Each weapon's cost increased.
• Every one of the 8 stages can now be exited, without having beaten the stage.
• Every one of the 8 bosses can now be re-battled.
• Subtank's max capacity nerfed from 15 to 10 HP.
• After defeating a boss, X no longer walks to the center.
• Spark Mandrill's stage has always electricity.
• Flame Mammoth's stage has always lava.
• Dialogue changes in all sections of the game, including the Spec mode, and the Intro scene.
• Password System updated to Hard Type's HP.
• After Dying, X has full ammo with all weapons.
• Rebalanced damage done with every weapon, to regular enemies, bosses and mini-bosses.
• Rebalanced HP of each and one of the enemies throughout the game.
• Dash acquired after the Intro Stage!
• AI Enhancement on the final bosses of the game.
• Several ASM changes affecting gameplay, such as Sting Chameleon's charged shot duration, higher invisibility frames, some AI behavior changes, and others.
