Looney Tunes (Game Boy) Review
What's up, Doc?

If I talk you about Cartoons... The 1st. Thing that comes to your mind is your favorite cartoon shows, right? But, If I talk you about the Looney Tunes, I bet that the 1st. Thing you think it's on a Bunny, a Cat, a Pig, and such... Right? Well, Looney tunes are a legend of the cartoons... Who didn't laughed at some of their shorts? Or who didn't had a favorite character? Of course, because of his success, it had various merchadshing, between those, Video Games... The best one was, perhaps, this one... Looney Tunes for the GB. Wanna see how it was? Then. Just sit and read this review.

Story: There's not story... Yep, it doesn't had. Every stage has it's own story and character: On the 1st. Stage we must help Daffy Duck in his adventure to get a treasure under the sea... On the 2nd. Stage, we must help Tweety to escape from the Sylvester's claws. On the 3rd. We control Porky Pig. Who must clean the sky and get rid of various enemies (UFOs, Satellites, Flying bombs, etc.) Every stage offers a different story. (N/A)

Graphics: Graphics are okay, the characters are very well detailed... You can recognize them easily. However. Some characters lack of good animations. But, that's not a big problem... Backgrounds have good details too, but you don't notice them because of the major focus on the game's action. (8/10)

Sound: In one word: Excellent... Every stage has it's own music. Pretty catchy music, Mini-boss and Boss themes are examples, along the music of the Porky's and Daffy's stages. (8/10)

Addictiveness: Quite addictive game, his challenge level and variety shown through the stages are a good reason to play it again. Along with his gameplay and easy to learn controls. (7/10)

Depth: This title has really big depth, take a look at it: The game composes of 7 stages: 6 platform stages and 1 fly stage. On the 1st. And 7th. Stages, the main weapon is a flying disc. When throw, this disc will hit the enemy, and then it will return to you. If you jump or avoid the disc, it will try to follow you. (A pretty useful tactic to kill various enemies) on these stages you can find jewels to rise your score, and Bottles to rise your energy. Also, thought the same you find Mini-Bosses, every one with an unique look and attack. At the end of every stage (excepting the 2nd. And the 4th.) , you find a Boss... A very difficult boss, with more than one attack, and with different skills. Also, there's a fly stage (my personal favorite) and a Bonus stage... As you see, this game has a good amount of variety. (8/10)

Difficulty: Well, this game was made by Sunsoft... And this company destaques because of the quality of their games, but, it also destaques because of their difficulty. On this game, you have 3 Health points... These can be taken away fast, also, you can't get more than 3... If you lose a life, you start again from the start of the Level section you're currently. Enemies and bosses moves faster. To make it worse, some doesn't have a pattern of attack. So, you'll have to guess or react faster to beat those. As said before, practice is the key to beat them. (8/10)

Final Rating: 8.6

In conclusion, this is a really good game... Full of fun and variety. One of the best games of the Looney franchise. Pretty recommendable and entertaining. Just play it and you'll see.
