Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The famed, the most greatly reviewed and criticized game of the Legend of Zelda series, will be reviewed by yours truly, Snowdeath! Ocarina of Time is one of the most sought after game on the N64, and one of the most famous Legend of Zelda game overall. What makes it even better, is the fact it has a psychotic sequel, called Majora’s Mask. That’s a different story for a different time.
Well, as for information regarding to this famous game… It was released on November 21, 1998 as a N64 cartridge. Ocarina of Time was widely considered by gamers and reviewers alike to be the greatest game ever created. The question - is that true? Read on.
Graphics – 9
At the time when it was released, 3D was rare. Yet Nintendo made it smooth, and made the world breath-taking. It had full charm over the game, made people interested in the game just because of the graphics. The colors weren’t too dark, too bright, it was perfectly laid out. Sure, it may not look realistic, but it was in the flow of the game exactly. 9 is the score for the graphics.
Sound – BLANK
( I’m fully deaf in both ears, so I can’t review this section, otherwise it would be a bluntly obvious lie. )
Addictiveness – 10
A whooping 10! Why? Ocarina of Time is as addictive as it can be, ever. That’s in my opinion, though. For ten years, I’ve been playing this loveable and epic game, over and over again. Even if it is a full RPG story-line based, there is a certain enchantment that lulls you into playing it again, maybe after a week or a month, depending on your tastes. What I think is that you will DEFINITELY re-play it eventually.
Story – 10
10 again! The story-line of this Legend of Zelda is immersing, highly detailed and intricate. It is well written, and well thought, and it shows clearly in the game. A lot of gamers played this game just for the story-line, along with defeating the game. The story within the game is a huge part of the game-play, and since it is a perfect fit with the game, I give it a 10.
Depth – 8
The first dungeon, inside the Deku Tree, were extremely simplistic for those who did play a RPG before, but it got progressively harder, especially at Jabu Jabu’s Belly, which can be extremely confusing if it is your first time. The Water Temple is what made me give it a lower score. It is nearly impossible to pass that level unless you have hours and hours of free time and a bottle of Advil for your poor brain. However, the dungeons and the mini-dungeons, and even the quests in it are extremely fun and enjoyable for hours, which is why I give it an 8.
Difficulty – 7
The natural controls for the game are a N64 controller, and it’s hard to control Link in the game with a keyboard, since all of the buttons on the controller is used. I had to reconfigure my keyboard buttons several times to have satisfaction of the game, and even so, it’s annoying to have to double-click the screen to get smooth Y + X angles, so I can precisely shoot my bow / hookshot at whatever target. Nevertheless, still very nice!
Overall – 9.4
This is my first-ever played video game, so I might be biased, but this is one of my ultimate favourite games ever. If you haven’t played it, I tell you, play it NOW. Discard whatever you were doing before you read this review, play it now. It is a masterpiece of time. No, I am not overrating this. It is actually great, maybe not perfect, but that charms up the game too.
In all, I love this game. That’s all. It has a special place near my heart. When I was young, I laughed and cried out in fear while playing this game. Now, I repeatedly play this game and simply beat up Skullutas, check out the funny Mario pictures at Hyrule Castle, and just explore. It is legendary, that’s all.

Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time Box Description: As a young boy, Link is tricked by Ganondorf, the King of the Gerudo Thieves. The evil human uses Link to gain access to the Sacred Realm, where he places his tainted hands on Triforce and transforms the beautiful Hyrulean landscape into a barren wasteland. Link is determined to fix the problems he helped to create, so with the help of Rauru he travels through time gathering the powers of the Seven Sages.
Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time Description: For the first time, The Legend of Zelda makes its way to the N64, in fine fashion. Our hero Link is once again called for to save the Kingdom of Hyrule, and this time he has a time travel device called the Ocarina to help him in his quest. Ganon is once again up to his old tricks, and Princess Zelda, as well as the Great Deku Tree ask for Links help. To guide him, a young fairy called Navi shows him the tricks of the trade. You begin the adventure with the task of collecting your sword and shield, and then saving the Deku Tree from the evil that has attacked. From there, you travel to Hyrule, and the many worlds that stem from Hyrule Field.There are many, many new things in this Zelda compared to past versions, including the use of time travel and the two different Links on each side (young Link, who you start the adventure with, and teen Link, who you must turn into to complete certain areas of the game). Weapons are also a key feature, with bombs, swords and other nifty gadgets available to help you in your quest.

Free Masks At The Mask Shop
This won't work unless you've already sold the Keaton mask to the guard outside of Death Mountain. Once you've done so, before getting the Skull Mask you can ask to borrow the Keaton Mask again for free. Once you've done so, leave the shop, go back in and ask to trade masks. You can trade the Keaton mask for the Skull mask (he'll say you have to pay, but you won't) for free! It even makes the sound of you giving him the rupees, but you'll still have all your money. The same works for the Spooky mask and the Rabbit hood, you just have to trade the mask that you sold before it.

What can I say? This game defines the series. It set the bar for all future Adventure RPGs. This game is loaded with great weapons, fun songs, useful items, and an awesome storyline. As a gamer who has beaten the game before, the dungeons don't seem quite as challenging, but I love them nonetheless. The timed sidequests are loads of fun too. For the more dedicated players there are a lot of sidequests that can keep you busy for hours. For new players, this game should challenge you without being overly difficult. If you get stuck, stop and think and you should be able to progress. It's one of the best games there is, so it's worth your time and patience.

This is the first time I played Zelda Ocarina of Time IN MY COMPUTER, so many times i had some dificulties playing in the keyboard, but still...it was a pleasure to return to the sword battles like the old days, and to be honest, it was one of my first videogames i ever had and my favorite of them all.

The 1st time i played this is the 1st time i have ever played a Zelda in N64..
But my other Zelda game is in my SNES..
But I think This is my 1st Favorite game in N64..

Playing Legend of Zelda:OoT is like taking your favorite thing and then making a pathetic attempt to compare it to pure,mind bending awesomeness.A rare case that a gamer can finish,but a master to beat;OoT is a game that after you say "I am finished.Never starting over",you see the annoying Navi waking up Link.Even after leaving the candle behind,OoT is always coming back to light it again.No matter how many new ones you "played",you haven't tried LOZ until you try OoT.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was the first N64 game I ever played. I got it back when I was 7. It actually took me about a year to beat, but even still I love the game no matter what. It has the best game play of any other LoZ game (besides Twilight Princess). You play through it, and after you beat it, you want to do it again.

This is a great game. Many people thought that the change from 2D to 3D graphics were weird for a Zelda game. But once they played it, they knew it was awesome. Some people think this the greatest game on the Nintendo 64(I disagree. I think Super Mario 64 is the best game on the N64.)

equip you c's with the hookshot and hammer.
when you approach dark link, z-shoot him with the hookshot: he will roll towards you and you'll miss

You don't necessarily need a PC controller. Just double click the the game screen to bring up the controls menu, where you can configure the buttons to your satisfactory.
