After reading below, I forgot to mention that only works once, so get near the end of the level powered up, and die, then you start at a checkpoint powered up again, but then if you die, it's straight back to basic weapons/speed.

It is possible to 1LC this game, but on the very last level, if you die, you keep all your weapons, so to get the max score, you must die on the very last level, preferably at the end near the boss.
