'Ryuuichi Past+Present Events'Ryuuichi Naruhodou (Phoenix Wright) is back and better than ever in Gyakuten Saiban 3 (Phoenix Wright Trials And Tribulations) In this game Ryuuichi is now on his 3rd year as a defense attorney and is now know all over the country for his high success in winning trials. However to understand the future events in this game we must first start in the past before Ryuuichi was a defense attorney, and when Mia Fey was still a beginner as a defense attorney under Marvin Grossberg. In the past Phoenix is just a college student and is also studying law as he was thinking of becoming a defense attorney to help his friend out, but on one unfortunate afternoon Ryuuichi was accused of Murdering a fellow class mate at the college he went to and after the case Is solved we then move back into the present time.
The gameplay is basically the same as in Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Phoenix Wright Justice For All) but this game also includes a whole new list of characters some you may know but have changed or are younger, and others that are completely new to the series. Not only do we get a new list of characters but we also get to have a certain prosecutor play as a defense attorney for part of an episode, Time to get to the ratings now.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are better than the previous 2 Gyakuten Saiban games but it suffers the same fate as the other 2 games as the graphics still aren't as great as the DS but for Game Boy Advance standards it's looks really good. Graphics are great 8 out of 10 is a fair rating for Game Boy Advance standards.
Sound: 8/10
The Music and voices in this game are very great and still have that powerful feeling behind them every time you hear them say "HOLD IT" "OBJECTION" "TAKE THAT". Any game inside the Gyakuten Saiban or other games in the series there will be at least one song you'll love hearing 8/10 is it's score for me.
Story: 10+/10
The story inside Gyakuten Saiban 3 is amazing and will always make you wanna see it over and over again. Like I said in the beginning you play as Mia Fey in the 1st case and Ryuuichi is a university/college student. Then you go back in to the present time and right around the 5th case of the game you meet someone that is very familiar looking however don't be deceived by their looks as it's not who you think it is the 1st time you play/watch it. As you go further and further into the final case you learn some much stuff about Ryuuichi and others including the identity of Ryuuichi's girlfriend in university/college. If you asked me which is better Gyakuten Saiban 2 or Gyakuten Saiban 3 story wise then I would definitely say Gyakuten Saiban 3 as it draws you into the story and you can't help but finish the game and learn all the secrets that were being hidden in the game. Amazing story if I could give a higher rating than 10 I would but I can't so I put 10 out of 10 but put 10+ in my review.
Addictiveness: 10/10
If you've seen the past 2 Gyakuten Saiban games then you already know how addicting these games are once you start playing them. The story, gameplay, sound, and all the funny humor found in the game just really puts this game series at the top. It's hard to say between Gyakuten Saiban and Gyakuten Saiban 3 which one is better as both games have interesting backgrounds to them as in the first game you learn about why Ryuuichi was drawn into being a lawyer and which people made him choose to be a defense attorney. But with Gyakuten Saiban 3 you learn more about what happened to phoenix when he was in his college/university years and about the identity of the person whom he was going out with in college/university. Either way this game will make you come back for some more action every time you quit the game. Fantastic Game Design 10 out of 10 is the only choice that can be made for the replay-ability level in this game.
Difficulty: 7/10
Once again if you've played the past 2 games you should have no trouble with the difficulty in this game, the only reason why the difficulty is high is cause you actually have to think in these games you can't just breeze through them which is a great game mechanic. Not much else to say so 7 out of 10 is what I think the difficulty level is in these games.
So that's Gyakuten Saiban 3 It wrapped up the Gyakuten Saiben (Phoenix Wright) trilogy perfectly and left a great feeling in your heart when you finally beat the game and think "Well my job as Ryuuichi Naruhodou is finally at an end". Yes your journey with Ryuuichi (Phoenix) is over maybe someday you'll end up playing in the courts with him again but for now your job is done and when you hear that OBJECTION for the final time you know you're gonna miss the time and memories you've spent/had with this game. I'll end this with some final words from the game....The one thing that you must always remember is that a lawyer is someone who smiles no matter how bad things get, you can't smile at the end if you haven't been smiling the whole way!
