Game and Watch Gallery review for the game Boy please read! G@mehe@d
INTRODUCTION: Game and Watch Gallery is a compilation of 4 Game and Watch games. It was released in 1997 for the original Game Boy. The game consists of 4 different Game and Watch games. Oil Panic, a game where you are preventing a fire at a gas station by simply catching the oil in your bucket. When it is full you must pour it in your partners bucket. If you either pour the oil on someone 3 times, ( which is quite humorous) or let the oil get on the building 3 times the game is over. Another one is simply called "Fire". It's is my favorite and your goal is to get the injured people into the ambulance, you do this by catching the falling injured people and making them land in the ambulance, if you don't catch them and let them fall to the ground 3 times. It's a game over. There is also one called Manhole. The objective is to keep the pedestrians from falling in the river. To do this you must move the platform you are holding to one of the gaps the pedestrian is near. If you let the pedestrians fall into the river 3 times. It's a game over. The worst one in my opinion, is the one called Octopus. You have to get the treasure under the water, there's one problem though an octopus is guarding that treasure and if he grabs you with his tentacles you die. If this happens 3 times then it's a game over. Each game has a classic and modern mode. Classic mode is the original Game and Watch game. The modern mode has a modern feel to the original Game and Watch game, with better controls, graphics, sound, and the added Mario characters this a major upgrade.GRAPHICS: The graphics for the original mode are choppy and poor like the original Game and Watches. That's early 80s technology for you. If you play this on the Super Game Boy adapter you get some added color that was in the original Game and Watches. The modern mode looks nice but that's because that mode was made with the compilation in 1997.SOUND: The sound is primitive too in the original mode, but that's what they had back in the early 1980s when Atari 2600s were ruling the gaming industry. The modern mode has some nice sound effects. However the music for the mode select screen is awful but everything else is goodADDICTIVENESS: The game is great for long car or airplane trips. It's great to take turns with friends to see how big of a score you can get. I don't own a Game Boy but it's the same on Vizzed. The is a great competition game. DEPTH: Throw in 4 classic Game and Watch games and modern versions for each of them all in one game pak! It even saves your scores! So you don't have to start over when you start the game. I pretty much explained what the games are so I don't need to explain again.DIFFICULTY: There are two difficulty modes for each game, easy and hard. Easy starts with one thing at a time, hard starts out with two at a time or something like that. The controls are solid and work well in modern mode but in the original mode it's hard to play because of the choppy game play and for the octopus one. Its bad controls. OVERALL RATING 8.5CONCLUSION: The game could improve but it has classic games in there and anything classic will give me a good time! No matter how bad it is. It's not that the Game and Watch games were bad, I was just never alive back in the day were those Game and Watches were out. oil panic
OctopusNote original versions on original systems are used for the photographs. They don't look chunky because there are drawings built in the Game and Watches Fire Manhole

Game & Watch Gallery- Lives Up to its Name mlb789
Game & Watch Gallery is a game that brings exactly what the title says. You game, and you watch. That is all you do when you play the game. In this game, there are four game modes you can choose from. These game modes have the ability to make you play for five minutes, then lose and have to restart again. One of these game modes is (in the Mario character version) where you bounce little baby toads and Donkey Kongs to the safety of the gigantic crib that happens to be there when you play the game. This would obviously be a safety hazard in the real world, which would cause many lawsuits and trouble for Nintendo. Luckily, this game is so annoyingly par that you will not care about all of this and you will just try to see if you can beat high scores that you have already set.
Graphics 6: The graphics in this game are not that bad. Even though I would have liked the motions to be more fluid and not jumpy, you have to note that this is on a relatively old platform that had no color incorporated at all.
Sound 7: The sounds in this game are not overwhelmingly good, but they are above par. I really like how catchy the songs are in the game, even though they are not as smooth as some other sounds for the game boy are.
Addictiveness 8: This game is relatively addictive. You have the ability to set your own score for you to beat over and over again, which is fun for a while, but you will- after a long time- get bored and put the game away for a while, only to take it out again when you need something to do.
Story : There is no story to a game that involves high scores with only four game modes.
Depth 4: This score reflects the number of game modes: 4. You get to do the four same game modes over and over again until you drive yourself bonkers and decide to either a) put the game away for a while or b) rage quit the game and throw your laptop against the wall repeatedly to make the game stop repeating itself, only until you realize it isn't your computers fault and you make a review about the game raging about how much you hated it.
Difficulty 8: This game is actually surprisingly hard. You wouldn't realize it, but it is hard to get a very high score on this game. I have never gotten above the recommended amount of 300 points in a game.
Overall 6.6: This game is not a horrible game, but it sure is the
best game average game you would expect to come out of the Game Boy console. You could have fun with this game I suppose, but only if you have a habit to constantly repeat what you do or say, which is very similar to how this game is programmed.
