A suprisingly good sequel. RedHotToddy
If you thought crash bandicoot huge adventure was the only time you would see crash on the gba, then you're wrong! A few months after the release of huge adventure, a sequel was made, This sequel is called Crash bandicoot n-tranced. This title offers alot more then crash's last adventure, but let's just see, will this be a good sequel?
Story 8/10
The story of this game is that N trance, an evil egg like robot, and an evil time master dude named N tropy have kidnapped all of crash's friends and family. I like the story here, it's basically your typical "Save this person" kind of plot. I actually have a thing for those kind of plots. And plus, n trance and tropy steal an evil clone of crash named fake crash, whats crazy is that they think this is the real crash, but no, it's just an evil clone of our hero. So anyways let's get onto the game itself.
Gameplay-9/10
The game uses the exact same sprites, HUD, and everything as our hero's last GBA entry, not that it's a bad thing. Crash will adventure through 4 big worlds. Each based on a certain time period. In my opinion the game is pretty short, I managed to get through it in 3 hours, granted I got as much stuff as I can. So the gameplay itself is just the same as our hero's last entry, you run through a bunch of big Point A to Point B levels. In addition are the new water skiing levels, the new ball rolling levels, (which use the THP4 GBA engine) and last but not least, the coco space levels. In my honest opinion, the coco levels are very difficult, especially when it comes to getting all crates. But however, I did manage to get all crates on all coco levels! Anyways, that's it for the gameplay!
Graphics-7/10
Ehh, the graphics are pretty slick for a GBA game. Yet one thing I should let you know, crash's sprite is used for Huge adventure, N tranced, and the next crash game for GBA. Yet besides all that, all the levels are still bursting with color and atmosphere, Like some levels take place in Arabia, A tropical island, A Pharaoh's temple, and a whole lot of others. Well, the game is about time travel! so...what to expect?
The cutscenes are pretty neat too.
Sound-8/10
Ah....the sound, for GBA, this is really good! All the songs fit the levels! For example, the Arabia levels have a nice desertish feel to them. The water skiing levels have a neat Hawaiian sounding song to them, and so on. Crash bandicoot titles always have awesome catchy music that the levels! You see? that my friend....is one thing I love about these games....
Addictiveness-8/10
This game can really grow on you after a while! I still remember my first time playing this game! I was amazed by it all! I mean, theres so stuff to do, it seems like forever! I'm close to getting 100% on the whole game, but once I'm done, I'll still be playing this, even if it kills me.
Depth-10/10
Man! I feel like everytime I review a crash title, I'm always going to give it a 10 on depth! Just like every crash title, there is a ton of stuff to do and collect! In this case, there are colored gem shards to collect, Theres red, blue, green, and I think a yellow one. Once you collect all of them, you will get to fight the secret final boss, N tropy, that other guy I mentioned earlier in the story. In my opinion, getting 100% on crash bandicoot titles feels like a really big thing, but once you actually get it done, you feel all rewarded....
Difficulty-7/10
I like a challenge, and this is no exception. This game is really challenging, like those coco levels I mentioned earlier. But you could get used to it after a while. Wait! what am I saying? Crash bandicoot games are supposed to challenge the player! Or else the game would be too easy and boring!
Overall-8.8/10
Overall! This game was surprisingly better then crash's last title! But if I had to pick between these 2 games, I would pick both. The reason why I rated this game as it is was because....well, how much there is to offer! this is the kind of game that lasts with me for over months and months! Anyways, later I'm going to have a surprise review later after this one, so just wait!

Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced review dennyjr22
Graphics: 8- Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced's graphics are not the best graphics you have ever seen, but are better than some other game's graphics. Some games have graphics that want to make people throw up just looking at them.Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced's graphics do not have that type of graphics, so do not worry about throwing up because of the graphics in this game. The graphics are not black and white, they are color. The colors in this game are nice and vibrant compared to some other games that have color graphics.Other game can sometimes have color graphics, but the colors are all hazy looking, and that is what throws the whole purpose of color graphics off.You have to have graphics that have nice, vibrant colors, not color graphics that are hazy.If the color graphics are hazy, you might as well have black and white graphics, because people want color graphics that are in vibrant colors, not hazy colors. Sound: 7- The music is not bad for a game boy advance game. The music is not the best sounding music you have ever herd, but it is better than some other game's music. This game does not stick to one single type of music, it changes for the different types of levels in the game. Some other games stick to only one type of music, while this game's music changes for the different types of levels. Addictiveness: 9- This game is not the most addicting game of all time, but it does have addiction to it in its own unique way. This game has levels that can be easy, hard, or downright annoying to some users, but Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced is a fun game to play.It has three different types of levels.I do not know which category those three types of levels would be classified in, but there are three different types of levels, I can tell you that for sure. So, in general this game is addicting in its own type of unique way.
Story: 8- The story of Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced starts somewhere in Hyperspace(The game does not specify where exactly in Hyperspace).Evil doctor Nefarious Tropy has developed a plan to finally defeat their long time rivals, the Bandicoots. His plan is to capture them, and have N.Trance, the master of hypnotism, use his hypnosis to get them on the evil side. However, Crash was not captured, instead a fake crash was captured, and N.Tropy and N.Trance both thought it was crash himself. In a fight to get his friends on the good side once again, crash must go on an adventure to save his friends, Coco and Crunch, and defeat N.trance to restore freedom back to the universe from the wrath of evil.
Depth: 9- This game offers a lot.Not only do you have to collect all twenty-five of the crystals, but you also have to get all of the gem shards, and the red, blue, and green gems.Do not forget about the all the gems you get for breaking all of the boxes in a level, those must be collected too, before you have completed the game one hundred percent. There are also relics, there are three different relics types, Sapphire, Gold, and Platinum.I will go into more detail in the "Tips" section of this review. Difficulty: 5- This game is not so difficult if you know the controls really well.As you go on, the levels will progressively get harder, as most games do.There are parts where I have lost control on, but if that happens to you, calm yourself down, be cool and you will be just fine(Trust me). Tips: On the relics races, get the lowest time you can, by rushing to get to the end of the level, and breaking yellow time crates. Each time crate you break, will either freeze the clock by one, two, or three seconds. The box tells you how long the clock will be frozen if broken. If you achieve a low enough time, you will be awarded a Sapphire, Gold, or Platinum relic based on your time. The gem shards will not be the easiest thing to find in the game. You have to take time to search for them, you cannot expect to find them easily. That is what adds to the difficulty of this game, finding all of the items. To get the all the silver gems, you must break all of the crates in a level, if you miss one, try to go back through the level, you might have forgotten to beak one of the boxes and you did not know it.If you have broken all of the boxes, the gem will appear at the end of the level.Be aware that if you cannot get a platinum relic in one of the levels, do not stress out about it.You do not want to quit, but you cannot get in the moment where you are not leaving unless you get the platinum relic. Some levels are very long, and some levels are very short compared to some of the other levels in this game, the length of the levels can vary. Wrapping things up: So those are the main things you will need to know about in Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced.I hope all of the tips and descriptions that I have given you will help you in the game.I try to make good reviews on games that I know a lot about. One thing you should know about posting reviews, try to make them descriptive.People do not want to read reviews that are not very descriptive.Second, always try to keep your reviews neat and organized.People do not want to read sloppy review that mean nothing. And finally, make sure you do a spell check when you post reviews.Do not ever post a review with spelling errors.People do not want to read reviews that have words that are spelled wrong. If you do those three things when you write or type a review, you should get good replies from other people about your reviews, and that is all that matters.
