StarryNightMary 07-26-17 - 07:30 PM

One of the best Castlevania's I've played. So this is basically my favorite because of the whole soul stealing part in it. Without the RPG element I wouldn't even play Castlevania.

This, is one of the best Castlevania games I have ever played because of the RPG elements and how fun it is. Plus it isn't that hard when you get used to the controls.

Ryan play through the game cuz its complicated, Soma Cruz is the reincarnation of dracula and thats y he can use the powers of the monsters he kills, but there are different endings, a good one and a bad one, to get the good one u need the flame demon soul
ryanhalim 05-08-12 - 03:25 AM

MrNibbles461 05-06-12 - 10:10 PM
XFallenAngel I think ur talkin bout the clock tower and i would equip the lightning doll soul or flame demon soul if u have it, the tiny devil soul should work too, it might make it easier to hit the enemies in the clock tower than with a sword :P
XFallenAngel 05-06-12 - 11:54 AM
how do i get passed the room with all those yellow medusa heads and valkries?!?
Kelpie 05-06-12 - 06:24 AM
The door to final area is in the floating gardens and it's covered in black aura. To get there you must get three key souls: succubus, flame demon and giant bat and use them fighting Graham thank come back to floating gardens and the door will open.

Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow Review by: Marcmoney - 9/10

Castlevania Review
Overall - 9

Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow is a good GBA game to play, I really enjoyed playing it, except that there were a few seconds freezing, which got me killed in the first boss level.  I do not know if it was my computer or not so I just wanted to say that out.  This Castlevania game is very different from what people would play on the NES and Genesis consoles.  There are different characters and a different story, but the story is sort of related so give that one a chance.  I personally think that this game is a mix of Castlevania and Fire Emblem because it is not like the other games that were on the NES and Genesis.  This one is a whole new level of Castlevania.

Graphics - 10

The graphics are perfect.  Pretty good levels and cool characters.  The enemies were very similar like bats and skeletons.  There were no screw ups in this game and the battle style graphics look very impressive.

Sound - 10

The sound is awesome and great melodies for the castle.  Similar songs from the other Castlevania games and good sound effects from the characters and from the enemies.

Addictiveness - 8

This game is one of the games I would definitely play again.  It is just like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem. :D  I am a big fan of Fire Emblem so that is why I like playing this.

Story - 8

The story is wonderful.  It is very adventurous and interesting.  I actually read what they talk about.  I usually never read what they talk about because it really bored me, but this story was very interesting.  I wonder what it is in the end.

Depth - 8

This Castlevania game is again just like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem.  It has equipping items and stats changing.  you can also level up (I am pretty sure) and you can find items in the game that you can equip.  You do not go places to buy items and equip them, they are just scattered in the levels, which is pretty different, but difficult if you want to find an awesome weapon.

Difficulty - 6

The game is quite hard if it weren't for the freezing (again, I do not know if it was my computer or not).  Other than that, the game is fun.  Some enemies can be difficult, but they seem to not take away lots of health from you, which is cool cause I really like having a lot of health.  The only thing difficult is being able to understand the stats and the leveling up.  It takes time to do what you want to do like equipping and when the next level up will be, but that is just how it is in Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem, right? :P

Wrap Things Up...

Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow is a good game to play.  I recommend trying this game out for all you Castlevania fans.  It is a whole lot better and the fighting style is well-prepared. :)

Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow Game Description

Normally a solar eclipse isn't a dangerous event, but for Soma Cruz being sucked through a portal and into Dracula's castle during one will turn his day into a total nightmare. As Soma you must venture through the castle and find a way out. As you do so, you will discover the true meaning behind the event, and why Dracula has risen yet again.Although set in the future, all of the weapons and hazards are the same or similar to those seen in past Castlevania titles. Soma can find or buy weapons of all types such as swords, spears, and axes. Through his mysterious power of Dominance Soma can take the souls of his enemies and use their powers as his own, providing passive stat boosts, powerful magic, or even summoning them forth to fight on his behalf. Dracula's castle is a single continuous building, and as Soma's power of Dominance grows and he acquires more monster souls to power abilities he can bypass obstacles that were previously insurmountable. Players can link up with a friend's copy of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow to trade souls between them.
