This was the first Blizzard game I ever played and I instantly fell in love with their games. This is a adventure game like Flashback or Out of this World. You play as Blackthorn, a shot gun wielding drifter. He grew up in our world but is from another dimension ruled by gun toting orcish brutes. Blackthorn returns to his dimension a man ready to free his people from the tyrannous orcs. One little inventive aspect of this game is that you can use cover while having shootouts with your enemies. You hit a button and Blackthorn hides against the back wall which your enemies can also do. This makes for some interesting fights. As you progress you gain new stronger shot guns and gain access to remote control bombs and other fun toys. Also as with Flashback and Out of this World you'll have to figure out some puzzles. You'll have to come up with strategies to break passed the orcs blockades. As with all Blizzard games the fun factor is paramount to the game design. The sound is great for a SNES game. The graphics are solid and sports some nice cut scenes. Its not an incredibly hard game to beat and is a little short but it packs a punch!
