AdVenture Capitalist Review by: zanderlex - 7/10

Free Money! Get Your Free Money Here!!!
You want to know what this game is like? Think of one of those clicker games, but instead of clicking over and over, you just click a couple of times to buy stuff and then you watch as $100 bills flood your account and soon after that, you’re making billions and trillions per minute. I saw someone I know playing this game and I was like “you know what? That seems like a fun game, maybe I’ll give it a try.” Now I haven’t played it a lot because it’s a computer game and I usually play these kinds of games on my phone, but once I gave it a try, I really liked it. It’s fun, but for the most part, you need to click a bunch of times and then you sit back even with the game off and you watch the money roll in.

GRAPHICS: 7/10

What is there really when it comes to the graphics? Yes, it’s clean and looks very organized and nice, as well as kinda colorful, but foe the most part, the game is just a lot of text, with a couple of images and some animations, but that’s all that there is when it comes to the graphics. But, it’s not a graphics based game, it’s all about clicking and making the money pile up, so honestly, these graphics go beyond what is required, so they are good.

SOUND: 8/10

The sounds are pretty swell actually. One of the very first things that I noticed when I started playing the game was the music, which is nice and happy sounding. In fact, when I listened to the music, it instantly made me think of the kind of music that would play at some sort of a carnival, that you would hear while you’re on a carousel or a Ferris wheel, or maybe even the kind of music that you would associate with decades ago, but it fits in with the feel of the game very nicely and I like it. As for normal sound effects, there are barely any of those. The only thing that you really hear aide for the music is tiny clicks that sound whenever you press something, so for the most part, it’s the music that makes this game.

ADDICTIVENESS: 6/10

The game is fun when you are checking up on it, however, this is most definitely not the kind of game where you will play for even half an hour in a row because there’s really nothing for you to do. It’s not like a regular clicker where you get some sort of a bonus for clicking. You just click a few times to buy some items and those items will earn you money over time. Eventually you will buy enough items that they are so expensive now, that you might have to wait 10 seconds to a minute just before you can buy another item, and I’m sure you won’t just stare at the screen until you get enough money. You’re going to let the game play in the background until you have enough, or you’re going to save up money while the game is off, and then once you turn it on again, you’ll have enough to frantically buy stuff for like 2 to 3 minutes and then let the whole process start over again. As a matter of fact, I had the game running while writing this, and the entire time it took to write this addictiveness section, I only saved up enough money to buy 16 copies of the cheapest item, not even enough for 1 of the more expensive ones, which is what I need to make real money this far in the game. Point is, it’s not fun if you just stare at the screen the entire time, but you’re going to have fun every now and then checking up on how much you have and buying things, but that’s really all there is.

STORY: N/A

I’m going to leave this little piece here alone because I’m not sure if there really is much of a real story, all you are doing is buying items so that those items can make you money, so that you can keep on buying even more money and the whole process just keeps repeating over and over until you just get tired of the game. I’m not even sure what’s the most amount of money you can hold at one time, and I’m almost positive there’s no real backstory or anything, just the making money, so no grade for story that I know of.

DEPTH: 7/10

If this was a regular clicker game, and you could just click all over the screen and get even more money, then this would have probably been one of the biggest clicker games of all time, because there is a lot going on. Part of what I’m saying about the depth though is in relation to the price as well. That’s because the game is free and there seems to be stuff being added to the game as well every now and then. First of all, you have the number of different items that you can buy, which I believe is about a dozen, and you can buy as many of those items as you want and upgrade them in all different ways. You have things like other kinds of upgrades, as well as managers, and investors that you can all pay for once you get enough money and guess that they do? You’re right! They get you even more money. It’s not a lot of things, but it’s definitely a lot for a free game that could essentially pass as a plain clicker game.

DIFFICULTY: 1

This has to be one of the easiest games in the world. I was once playing, and I got like all the way up to 5 like 5 million dollars and I bought a ton of items, like 50 to 100 each of the first 5 items, and a few of the more expensive ones. Then I forgot about the game, I come back on after like 2 months and I have almost 200 TRILLION dollars saved up in the account, and I was able to not only unlock like 5 different items that were all more expensive than the ones I bought before, but I was also able to buy like 30 to 50 of those as well. The game is just so incredibly easy! All you need to do is click to buy JUST ONE item, and then you sit back and watch the money pile in. Heck, you could just click once, turn the game off and then play once a week and come on to see 10 to 20 times as much money and then you just spend all of that money and you turn the game off again and the process will just keep repeating itself over and over. There’s literally no challenge to the game, it’s just one of those games to GET AWAY from the challenges and to have a few nice and relaxing moments. It’s really that easy, if you don’t believe me, just play the game for 10 minutes and then you will.

OVERALL: 7/10

The game is not overwhelmingly fun to play, but it’s fun and decent. It’s definitely worth the free price tag and can easily give you a 20 minute fun break from reality once a week. Or if you are really into these kinds of Clicker/Tycoon games, you could do the same 5 to 20 minutes but every day and you’d probably get even more money at a faster pace. Point is, it’s a fun game it really is, but most of the time you will be staring at the screen waiting for something to happen, and my overall grade for AdVenture Capitalist is going to be a decent 7 out of 10.
