Well, I did say it was sonic month ender44
Being incredibly busy this month means that I wasn't able to complete sonic unleashed, so that means I cant include it in sonic month. But if I don't finish a game, then I cant review it.
Sonic generations. Every series needs that one game that will kick up the nostalgia meter to a whole new level. Sonic generations was released in 2011 and was made in honor of Sonic's twentieth birthday. This game will have modern and classic sonic team up and go through stages from sonic's past. It features 3 eras from Sonic's past. The classic era, the dreamcast era, and the modern era.
Gameplay: The gameplay is great. There have been a few sonic game that suffered from bad controls, but the controls on this game are incredibly solid and there wasn't a single instance where it tripped me up. The problems with the camera that were present in games like sonic adventure 2 aren't present, though this isn't in a full 3D environment. All of sonic's special moves, such as the spin dash and homing attack work very well and are very solid. The gameplay, in my opinion, is never repetitive like some other sonic games and that keeps you entertained. There are two versions of gameplay that I will be covering.
Modern sonic: Modern sonic runs through stages from the classic games that have been rendered in 3D and in HD. The stages play similarly to the way they do in games like sonic unleashed. Sonic runs through a 3D environment at high speeds and fights enemies using the homing attack and spin dash.
Classic sonic: When playing as classic sonic, all of the stages have been put into 2D, to fit with the gameplay of classic sonic games. Sonic will run through beautiful looking environments, controlling in a similar way to the way sonic does in Sonic the hedgehog 4: Episode 2 (man, that's a mouthful) to give a modern 2D example. Though, the controls are more ironed out than they are in that game, they are solid and easy to control.
Graphics: This game looks breathtakingly awesome, I don't like using the word awesome, because it makes me sound like I'm 14 but it really does fit with this game. All of the sonic stages are brought into HD, and the game looks fantastic (I know, I say fantastic a lot.) Sonic animates well, and the enemies do also. The cutscenes weren't as impressive as I was expecting, but they are still very satisfying and they look great. The hub world wasn't very impressive, but it gets more lively as the game goes on, and that sort of makes up for it. Environments are entertaining and aren't repetitive.
Sound: The sound is amazing. It sets the mood for a sonic game incredibly well. If you aren't going to get the game, I would at least encourage you to listen to some of the music. Its pretty difficult to describe other than saying just that. The sound tends to be a dancing-rock arrangement, and its very easy on the ears. I listen to it away from the game now, and its great to listen to. I encourage you to look it up and see.
Addictiveness: I'm going to play this game often, and I mean often. I have beaten sonic adventure 2 about twenty times, and this game is about 3 times more addictive. This game keeps me hooked like few other game have before. The great environments, the fantastic gameplay, and the awesome music will keep your eyes glued to the screen and your hands glued to the controller. I would have kept my hands on the controller for longer if I didn't have to pay bills. There may be a small amount of levels, but the sheer addictiveness keeps this game from ever becoming boring.
Story: Some people give this game some flack for its story, and I don't really get why. First of all, its a sonic game, how deep of a story were you expecting? Secondly, its an anniversary game, the point is to take you back to the past, not to keep you involved in a story. Basically, the time eater has erased time while classic sonic is exploring green hill zone, and while modern sonic is celebrating his birthday. Sonic is taken to white space, where he finds the green hill zone, which has its color and life restored to it after he enters. Sonic finds tails, and the he meets classic sonic and classic tails. They find out that sonic and classic sonic can restore color and life to all of these places. Sonic and classic sonic do just that. Eventually, they find out the mastermind behind the time eater is in fact, doctor Robotnik. And, as you could guess, sonic saves the day.
Depth: There are 9 nine levels, for both classic and modern sonic. There are also over five bossed you can fight. There are many extras you can buy in the shop. And although this doesn't sound like much, the addictiveness of this game and the immense replay value make up for it all. This will take a few hours to complete, but again, your going to want to play it a few times.
Difficulty: This game really wasn't difficult, most sonic game aren't. Some enemies might surprise you, but more often than not you will get your rings back and be able to go on your merry way.
Overall, this is a truly wonderful game, not just for people who have sonic as a part of their childhood. Those who do remember sonic from the old days will get a refreshing blast from the past that really improves the gaming experience. Even those without much sonic experience can still enjoy the wonderful graphics, gameplay, and music. So, even if your not looking for the nostalgia, give it a try. This concludes "sonic month" I did want to review more game from the series, but things happen. I will review sonic unleashed soon enough and as more sonic games get added to the VGR I will review them, but until then,
see ya

Sonic Generations Review Biggestsonicfan..
Hello everyone. This is one of the best adventure games on the Xbox360. I have this game in real life for the Xbox360, but sadly.. It doesn't work anymore! That's why I'm here on vizzed.
Sonic Generations takes place in a world called "Hub".
One day, Sonic was having his birthday party. With Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Cream, Vector, Amy, Espio and Charmy.
They all had fun! Until.... A Black monster called Time eater sucked all of em up! Sonic tried to destroy Time Eater, and then sonic failed. He fainted. But when he woke up. He woke up in "Hub World". A Lobby with levels. So Sonic has to go through green hill, chemical plant and sky sanctuary. Sonic saw himself younger in the Mirror after sky sanctuary. BUT!!! It was another sonic!! Classic him!!!! Classic him Used his Circle-Feet to dash into the door! Modern sonic failed! BUT, Classic sonic entered and defeated Death egg robot. After, They met up with Each other. Classic Tails, Classic Sonic, Modern Tails and Modern Sonic. So after they adventured throughout Speed Highway, City Escape, Seaside Hill, Perfect Chaos, Crisis City, Rooftop Run, Planet Wisp and Egg Dragoon... They found a clock! You had to place all 7 chaos emeralds. Then, enter the clock. They did as well, and they saw Modern and Classic Eggman/Robotnik! They were in Time Eater! So sonic and classic sonic got emeralds and became super. They defeated Time eater. And they had a very good Party. (Note: Now Silver and Shadow is in the Party!) But The Classic's had to go, so they did. *that part made me cry =c* And they had an Happily Ever After.
THE END.

Sonic Generations Review - 2 SONICS!? Lexatom
Sonic Generations is Sonic's 20th aniverssary game. It was released on November 3, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS. It was met with critical claim upon release, and is regarded by many as one of the best Sonic games in the series. What do I think of it? Are the critics right? Is this a game that you should buy? If you're looking for answers to any of these questions, this review is for you.
Graphics - 10The graphics in Sonic Generations are, to put it simply, amazing. Every single model and texture in this game is clean to the max. Even when you're playing as Modern Sonic and you're boosting, you can still see your surroundings quite easily. I am not exaggerating when I say every single thing in this game is smooth and clean, and just simply looking at the graphics drives me crazy in a way that I cannot accurately put into words.
Sound - 10The music in this game is absolutely perfect. Not only are there a few new tracks in this game, but most of the soundtrack is remixes or remakes of older songs in the series, and they are all amazing. Each song fits the theme of the level perfectly, like always. The sound effects are always entertaining to hear, such as enemy sounds and drifting. Everything in this game is just pure joy to your ears.
Addictiveness - 10This game is around 5 years old, and I still find myself playing it. The combination of Classic and Modern styled gameplay was such a great idea and it never fails to entertain me. I think Sonic Generations gives me more of that "adrenaline rush" kind of feeling whenever you boost more than any other game in the series, and I absolutely love it to death. It's always fun, no matter what.
Story - 8Sure, the story in this game isn't as heavy as the Adventure series. Heck, it isn't even as heavy as the story in Colors. But, the story works for what it is, and that's what really counts. The premise of Sonic Generations was fun, exciting gameplay, and it delivered well. The basic story is this: It's Sonic's 20th birthday, and all of his friends have come over to celebrate. Out of nowhere, some dark, big, purple monster kidnaps all of his friends and sends them across time and space. Sonic eventually meets up with his past self and they travel through time to rescue their friends. There is a little surprise that I didn't really expect at the end, which I though was pretty cool.
Depth - 7Don't get me wrong, there's stuff to do in this game. I just wish there was more. I'm probably just being a little selfish because I love this game so much. Once you finish the main game, you can do a couple of different things. Each level contains 5 red star rings, and each red star ring unlocks something in the gallery. There are several challenges for each level, and each challenge will unlock something in the gallery as well. You can also buy multiple different kinds of skills and equip them to make a skill set for both Sonics. In addition to all of this, there's a secret trophy room in the game where you can input codes to unlock various trophies of various characters/objects throughout the Sonic franchise.
Difficulty - 6This game isn't that hard. Most of the levels are pretty easy, and I only really had trouble with the last few levels. The difficulty of this game comes from the challenges and the Hard Mode bosses. Each boss has a Hard Mode, which makes them significantly stronger and harder to defeat. A lot of the challenges are difficult, and it will take you several tries to beat them.
Overall - 9.2Sonic Generations definitely lands somewhere in my top 5 Sonic games. It might be somewhere around #4 or #5, but it's still an amazing game nonetheless. Sonic Generations showed how fun and exciting Sonic games can be if done right, and I'm glad Sonic Team decided to release the game the way it was. Project Sonic 2017 features both Classic and Modern Sonic as well, so it seems like gameplay will be similar to Sonic Generations in that game, which gets me really hyped up. If this review has gotten you somewhat interested in picking this game up, I highly recommend you do so. I promise you, you won't regret it.

3 Eras, 2 Sonics, 1 Review! Itachi9695
Greetings ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Sonic Month 2! (Even though this review is actually taking place after June, but whatever) Today we'll be looking at the newest addition to the console main series of Sonic games (In terms of when it takes place), Sonic Generations. Now, originally I had only played the PC version of the game, but I have recently acquired the 360 version, which is more or less the same game with the only differences being in the presentation. When I first heard about this game, I spent months on YouTube and other internet websites to collect as much information as possible. I was extremely pumped for this game and when it finally became available for me to install, (because I had pre ordered it on Steam) I immediately downloaded and played this game and had such a good time. So, does this game still hold up? Can I still go back to this game and say it's just as good now as it was then? Let's find out.
Graphics
The graphics here are simply amazing, definitely a step up from Unleashed. However, in the Xbox 360 version of the game, I did notice that the opening and closing cutscenes are a little pixelated and blurry. I know the problem doesn't exist in the PC version of the game and I've heard it doesn't happen in the PS3 version either, so I wonder what went wrong there. Aside from that, because all the levels you know and love are back, they have been given a graphical update and they all look better than before. The animations are once again extremely smooth and just make the game a little more complete in terms of looks. Overall, a great looking game.
Sound
While the vast majority of the music is simply remixed versions of old tunes with the only exception being the Time Eater's theme, the only original piece in the entire soundtrack. However, simply because this is an anniversary title I'll let it slide as the main point of the game was to bring Classic and Modern Sonic together. Each stage theme has a Classic and Modern remix and for the most part, both remixes for each track are simply brilliant...except for possibly Classic Planet Wisp. I missed that epic bass line...oh well, can't win them all I suppose. I also didn't like the Modern City Escape remix as much as everyone else did, maybe it's just the change in main vocalist that irritates me a little. It's a fine track, just not as good as the Classic remix or the original. Other than that, the soundtrack is fantastic and you can even unlock other Sonic tunes that you can play in any stage after unlocking them. I just love fighting a boss while listening to A New Venture (from Sonic Rush Adventure), it's so unfitting it's hilarious. Seriously, try it, and try to complete the boss while keeping a straight face the entire way through...good luck. Anyway, this game's soundtrack is great and definitely worth a listen.
Addictiveness
The replay value is almost through the roof, especially with the PC version. In addition to the missions, unlockable music, and fun levels, the PC version has the advantage of fan-made mods. Yes, I know that mods are not technically an official part of any game, but to be honest, I felt like the mods can really show off even more of what this game can do. While I haven't found myself using too many of the countless mods available, one I will point out is the Unleashed Project, a mod that ports all the day time levels from Unleashed and allows you to play them in Generations' engine. Like I said though, there are missions in each stage. 5 for Classic Sonic, and 5 for Modern Sonic in each stage. You technically only HAVE to complete one mission per stage in order to move along in the game, but I find myself going to these missions in order to get a little more play time out of the game.
Story
Sadly, even though the same writing team from Colors was back (and I loved Colors' story), I feel as if this plot was severely rushed and not as good. Let me explain. After Classic Sonic gets done taking his stroll through Green Hill Zone, some sort of monster appears. Cut to Modern Sonic's time and we see that Sonic's friends are throwing a surprise party for his birthday. After celebrating a little while, the monster that appeared in the previous scene appears and kidnaps all of Sonic's friends and sends Sonic into a white world, Sonic then runs to Green Hill to investigate. After clearing Green Hill, Sonic rescues Tails and from here is where I personally think there were missed opportunities. They took advantage of Sonic remembering Green Hill and not Tails, considering only Sonic was present in Sonic 1, then after Chemical Plant, they both vaguely remember being there as well. From this point forward they don't mention any memories about any other stage, which was disappointing in my opinion. For the rest of the story, please play the game yourself. Overall, a decent story, but I think the next two section make up for it.
Depth
Like I mentioned earlier, there are 10 missions per stage, 5 for Classic and 5 for Modern, making up 90 total missions in 9 stages. The stages in Sonic Generations are as follows; Green Hill (Sonic 1), Chemical Plant (Sonic 2), Sky Sanctuary (Sonic 3 & Knuckles), Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure), City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2), Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes), Crisis City (Sonic '06), Rooftop Run (Sonic Unleashed), and Planet Wisp (Sonic Colors). Each stage has been remade to fit both Classic and Modern styles of gameplay. There are also a total of 50 unlockable songs from most of Sonic's game library, even the spin-offs. There is also a concept art gallery and a secret trophy room that you unlock by going into the collection room and holding Select (On the 360 controller) for a few seconds. Unfortunately, you need codes that I guess were supposed to be given at certain events or in certain toys and merchandise, but thanks to the internet, I have all the codes.

This game definitely has quite a bit to offer, just adding to the replay value even further.
Gameplay/Controls
As you may have figured out by now, there are two styles of gameplay in this game, Classic and Modern Sonic. Classic Sonic's controls are, for the most part, the same as the Genesis game. Using the analog stick to move, the A button to jump, and the X button to spin dash. You can also spin dash the old-fashioned way, but for this game, I wouldn't recommend it. I also wouldn't recommend trying to roll, it doesn't work too well. That's my gripe with Classic Sonic in this game, for the previews and everything trying to tell me that Classic Sonic would feel just like the Genesis version, that's not how it felt to me. Granted, it IS better than Sonic 4 Episode 1, but still not quite "Genesis". Modern Sonic controls like he did in Unleashed and Colors. Using the analog stick to move, the A button to jump, pressing the A button in the air to perform either an air dash or a homing attack when locked on to something. Pressing the X button will allow Sonic to use his Boost ability, letting him plow through enemies and certain obstacles along the way. For the most part, the game controls great and has some of the best control in a 3D Sonic game so far, definitely worth a playthrough.
Overall, I find this game to be the best out of the Modern bunch thus far, and I really hope Sonic Lost World blows me away even more when it comes out, but for now, this game is the best of Modern Sonic. I would also recommend this game to people either looking to get into the Sonic series or to get back into it, it teaches you about both styles and allows you to experience it in some of Sonic's most iconic stages. With great control, great music, and tons of replay value, I give Sonic Generations a 9 out of 10. Well, that concludes Sonic Month 2. Join me next time as we begin Mega Man Month. Until then, PEACE OUT!
