DOUKUTSU PROFILER v0.1b| by Devin Acker | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=' IMPORTANT NOTICES: - Make sure doukutsu.exe is NOT read-only before running, otherwise you will get an error! - Also, you are not able to name save files with less than two letters at this point. To avoid messing things up, only name your files with exactly 3 characters. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=, 1. What is it? | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-' Doukutsu Profiler is a small utility that changes the name of the save game file used by Cave Story: Doukutsu Monogatari. This allows you to have more than one save file for the same copy of the game. Since this utility directly edits doukutsu.exe, you might want to backup your copy before running, in case anything goes wrong and things get screwed up. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-, 2. Instructions | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-' Unzip profiler.exe into the same directory as your copy of Cave Story: Doukutsu Monogatari. After you start up Profiler, you are presented with a list of all the save game files. Double click on the save file you want to use, then click the "Run Doukutsu" button to play. You can use the Profile menu to create or delete profiles. Create a profile (Profile>New, Ctrl-Ins) When you create a new profile, you are prompted for a three letter name for the save file. Type anything you want for the name (NB - must be exactly 3 characters, will be fixed soon.) You can also select whether or not to automatically make the new profile "Active". Delete a profile (Profile>Delete, Del) If you decide to get rid of a saved game, use the Delete option. You will be asked to confirm whether or not you really want to delete the profile. =-=-=-=-=-=, 3.
