DARKANINE :   Not bad. I think by that stage I had:

Pidgeotto
Servine
Lucario
Charmeleon
Dewott

Nothing special about them, just thought I'd try to beat the game with my favourites.

DARKANINE : Damn, that sucks. It takes ages to get that far in the hacks too. What was your team before you lost your save, if I might  ask?

rcarter2 : Admittedly they are pretty strange. Yamask is a good example, being the ghost of a human for some reason. For me stuff like that is part of the appeal of newer generations though. While still a kids game dark stuff like that is slipped in for older players to enjoy.

starwars293 : Strange that you would agree with someone else about a very specific and subjective point. Is that how you really feel about Gen V?

legacyme3 : Well, at least we can agree on Zebstrika being awesome. I must admit I'm tempted to change my display pic to an Oshawott, but that would be childish

Nah, you have your opinions and that's fine. But I do hope when the games are released you give them a chance.

legacyme3 : Is there not love enough in your heart for both squirrel turtle and otter? Are you so dead inside? And I fail to see how a squirrel/turtle hybrid is less ridiculous than an otter.

legacyme3 : How, exactly? Look back objectively on 1st gen Pokemon and tell me they aren't ridiculous. The same with all other generations. Every Pokemon game is the same. The only reason people say otherwise is due to nostalgia.

legacyme3 : I would disagree with you there. I found B&W to be enjoyable, and the must fun I've had playing Pokemon since Gen II came out. Admittedly some of the Pokemon were less than great (the Pan families get all of my rage), but come on dude; Oshawott.

OSHAWOTT.

As for direct sequels, I am a bit skeptical but I'm willing to give them a chance. But considering there is no information other than they exist right now, it's unfair to want them to fail just because it's never been done before. Wait for more information to become available before judging them. Or better yet; wait for the game to come out, beat it, and then complain about it.

EDIT: Bulbapedia says B&W2 will be released on DS, and be compatible with 3DS. Everybody wins.

I liked it when I used to play RPGs and a friend would come over, we would sit there and enjoy the story together. Naturally there was much coke and crisps involved. It was more like watching a film than playing a game.

Pokémon Sapphire, Super Mario Advance 2, Final Fantasy V, and Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland. I still enjoy most of these games today, though I find Pokémon Sapphire a bit boring. FFV is still king of the FFs to me though.

Davideo7 : *checks profile*

Haha, probably not. But who knows, the kid could have older siblings who speak of the SNES with reverence.

Usually only an hour or two a day. But then something like Skyrim will come out, and I won't see the sun for about a week.

Going with the standard 4.5 billion+ estimate. Scientists have pretty much figured out though, it's not that hard to date a giant rock moving through space.

Not especially, it depends on what situation someone swears in. If it's just me and my friends I don't notice it, because it's socially acceptable. But if someone went up to a priest after mass and went 'that was a f***ing great sermon' I'd definitely notice.
