I love Chrono Trigger, this game is one of the best RPGs ever made, if not the best RPG ever made. This game is what inspired my love of music because yes the music is really that good. You may recognize the styles from Xenogears and Final Fantasy has both composers worked on the music for Chrono Trigger. I used to just let my characters sit on the world map so I could listen to the music. This was the first game I ever saw where the characters got "bored" and moved when the player was not playing.
The storyline is fantastic and the game as a featured call Play+ where you can you play the game from the beginning with all the items, experience and spells that you have learned throughout the game.

You spelled Final Fantasy 8 wrong.

Chrono Trigger is a nice game, but I'm not sure I could call it the best RPG ever. It was certainly good for its time, and I've more than put in enough hours into the game to see everything (I hope?), but I felt like I didn't really identify with the world or characters all that much (although I did tear up during Robo's arc).

The thing I liked most about the game was that you could go straight to the final boss. It's a tactic not many games are willing to take the risk on.
