SacredShadow managed to hold off no 8120 the entire Tour de Vizzed, even with no 8120 on his tail for almost the entire month. Congrats SacredShadow for winning the Autumn 2017 Tour de Vizzed.

Even though I messed things up for myself at the halfway point, I definitely think it made things more interesting during the second half of the competition. If I hadn't made a mistake, I estimate I would've hit the 340-350 point range if I was able to get continue getting points for yellow.

Although it wasn't challenging given the level of activity, it was still difficult for me to find places to post that I hadn't already replied to, or hadn't recently replied to. At the beginning of this competition I was not aiming for blue jersey, but I am glad I eventually seized the opportunity and take advantage of other ways to keep up with staff members in terms of earning points.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the results of this TDV and the fact that I was able to hold of no 8120 until the very end. While I would've liked to surpass the 300 point barrier, I did break many other personal milestones. Plus, there's always next time if I still wish to compete.

EX Palen :

Congratulations on holding 3rd place and on securing the yellow jersey! Similar to me, you also had competition following close behind, yet you managed to maintain your place all throughout. I must say though...I am baffled that despite not being able to earn points for yellow for over half a month, I still managed to tie with David for 2nd place in yellow jersey. I really expected to drop down the list much more as time passed...

no 8120 :

Congratulations on dominating the competition in red and green! The total points you earned in those categories are definitely within record-breaking range (especially green). If you hadn't been such a motivating force throughout the whole competition, I doubt I would've hung around as long as I did.

I don't know if this has happened in past TDVs, but I don't ever recall seeing the top 4 users all fall within the 200 point range.

Yesterday numbers were actually quite high, maybe the highest they've been overall all month. 1k words and 130 CP for top 4 in Yellow and Red are closer to what we're used to see in a TdV. Green was more or less average, but the great downfall was Blue where a single post could net you points.

I'm quite happy with my overall results. Bronze medal in the overall ranking, silver medal for Blue and gold medal in Yellow. I could have probably gotten Bronze in Red as well if I tried a bit more, just like I could have pushed up to 100 points in Yellow, but real life kept me busy both for the best and for the worst so I tried as hard as I could without losing track in either here or real life. I also accomplished other personal goals in the Hall of Fame, and I'm quite close to achieve a few more that could be a reality next year if I manage to compete enough.

I'm not sure if I'll compete next month in an attempt to get the top 10 I'm still missing in Winter, Not only do I have finals midway through that month, I'm also about to face two or three crucial months in real life that could cut off my time in here. I managed to participate this time because I saw an opportunity to shine, so only if I see a similar chance in January, and by extension the full 2018, will I be participating rather actively.

While it's been a dead competition overall, this allowed us to have open battles for anyone who actually wanted to walk away with something. Top 4 positions were separated by just 75 points, which clearly says how close this competition was. Rainbow was ultimately decided by some "intruders" getting in the way, but still we had another great performance with limited resources. We'd all love to see a more active competition, but if we at least are granted close battles instead of having dominators in all jerseys and banners it's not even half bad.

SacredShadow : Congratulations to you as well for your second win! It's been exactly four years since your first one, so it's impressive to see you're still active enough after all this time to claim Rainbow for a whole month (technically two, for you never lost it while the competition was going).

The battle was indeed fierce all along, but in the end regularity won the fight. Several users attempted to finish high but for one reason or another they eventually fell off the grid. Yuna was the only ever-present threat and I almost gave up seeing how I couldn't match her pace, but in the end she couldn't keep the pace either.

EX Palen : Congrats on winning the yellow jersey! It must have been much easier without my chatty self around as much XD

no 8120 : Congrats on winning the red and green jersey! You always put up an amazing performance in both and it shows how much you love contributing to the site!

SacredShadow : Congrats on your 2nd TdV win and the blue jersey! You pulled a Pac. We both held our rainbow banners the entire month and fought hard for them every day we could. However, mine was during the summer so I might have more room to brag
