The search box at the top of the left Navigation column has been a functional feature ever since I upgraded the site 2 years ago but it has always been limited to only allowing you to search in certain sections of the site, it has never allowed you to search the entire site... until now.

So here's how it works. Click the 'Site' option from the dropdown (it'll be the default option on some pages) and then type in whatever you want to search for and you'll be presented with pages matching your search phrase throughout almost all of the site.

You can also go directly to the search page and search from there as well. That page can be found here:
https://www.vizzed.com/search.php

Here's an example search result:
https://www.vizzed.com/search.php?search=Final+Fantasy

It'll group your results based on the page directory and also based on the type of page it is. Clicking the links on the left let you further filter the results and clicking the page link of course takes you right to the page you might be looking for.

If you select any option that isn't 'Site' from the Navigation column when searching, you'll be brought to the search results in the selected section just like before. In most cases it's probably best to search in the different sections of the site since the site search only does a search for content that have their own page and currently lacks features.

Here are the sections of the site that the search searches through:
-Retro Game Room
-Vizzed Board: Forums and Threads
-Video Game Room
-Video Game Music
-Various Pages and Features

Here's what it currently does not search for (but will at some point)
-Users
-Marketplace

I know it's currently lacking features and that's mainly because I've already invested a lot of time into it and I have to reserve time for other things that I'm working on. I'll eventually add more search options and the ability to view more than 50 results.

This will help users a lot with trying to find anything they wanted to look at or play, especially when it can display more results.

I hope to be using this and that it becomes a common feature!

Pacman+Mariofan : It actually is commonly used among newer people who don't know there way around. It's pretty simple to just type into the search box what you're looking for and to easily find it without having to look around. For example, if you were looking for a sonic soundtrack, type that in and you'll quickly find it: https://www.vizzed.com/search.php?search=sonic+soundtrack

It's really cool that this is finally working. I tested it out with a bunch of keywords and was able to find threads from years ago within seconds, so this is really cool for when trying to find something that was said a long time ago, trying to find stuff by specific users, and more.

I also really like the music searching, which is SOOO much easier than having to navigate through to the music pages as long as you already know what you want.
