Furret felt like getting on the board.

Getting into the top 5 might be a little difficult now, so I'll settle for trying to stay in the top 10. 
Oh look, I'm still in the top 10.

Yesterday was kind of a wordy day, lots of people making long posts and/or threads really helped numbers to get a bit higher. Sadly, this is not happening in the rest of jerseys, where we constantly see very low numbers not only for top 5 but for the winners as well.

There could be some battle for runner-up in Yellow, for there are 7 users within an 8 point gap. May not be the most interesting of battles, but still being runner-up for an overall jersey is kind of an achievement on itself and should be given some importance. Besides, all other jerseys present big differences within the top 10 places, which shows how many people is scoring points in Yellow all month long.

At this pace, I might not make it beyond 10th, which would be a first time for me as well. Overtaking Yuna for 7th doesn't seem plausible because once she starts she can't be stopped. Getting 9th for the second time in a row after last Spring could also be nice, but we'll see what happens. I still have my staff role as a hidden ace for tomorrow and slightly for Friday as well, so it could be enough.

EX Palen : Thank you for the motivation! I really needed it today since real life has been busy and that discourages me from trying to keep up.

You just made me realize something that made me smile. I get to try proving it's possible for a non-staff member to win the red jersey.

I keep having to fight off the obnoxious voice in my head that tells me I should just give up. But do you know how cool it would be if someone below staff won it for once? It takes serious effort and time, the latter I haven't had much of.

Yesterday was a hard day for me that has left me frustrated and emotional. I used the little energy I had to submit screenshots like crazy. After all, the way to battle with a screenshot adder is to add screenshots! (Also submitting reviews, but I haven't had time for those. Maybe I will today and tomorrow) I had to tell myself many times that it's OK, keep going.

That was the only day this month where I tried very hard but didn't place. I saw that this afternoon and my emotions seized me. I was fully convinced that it was my time to throw in the towel. Effort is one thing, but time is another. I was over 20 CP behind 5th place. Before I got offline, I was in 2nd.

But then I prayed about it. It was hard to concentrate when I just wanted to convince myself further that there are better things to do than help a website that I've been a part of for 4 and a half years. I was determined to calm down and get these emotions taken care of, though. God reminded me what it is that I said at the beginning. This isn't for me, and that's why I should do it. Sure, winning all 3 jerseys I could have ever wanted is great, but being able to do it to contribute highly to the site, that warms my heart.

I love you guys, and I love this competition. If I don't win the red jersey, don't think for a second that it will affect my contribution to the site, or how worth it all this work was. This is the first and last opportunity I will have to win it, and I want to use it.

My emotions are still all over the place, but I'll be able to find rest knowing that I fought so hard, even when I didn't want to, for you guys. Now, it's about time I make another game review, isn't it?

At this point, I'm betting we won't see anyone get the white banner. If that's the case, then that'll only be the 2nd time in the history of the TDV where nobody ends up getting it.

Very close battle in Overall Red Jersey competition.

The battle for runner-up in Yellow is tightening, four users in just three points. The battle for overall Red is even closer, both candidates fighting back to back with a difference of just one point.

Let's see how I fare today, since I have some staff duties to fulfill. My wordy nature should give me runner-up in Yellow by tomorrow, but there's still a lot of hours to compete and somebody can enter the fray at any given moment. I'd personally be happy collecting 8 points today, that would be enough for me to reach 500 total points.

gamerforlifeforever : That other time we didn't have a white banner winner we at least had users holding it before they exceeded their 90 days since registration, thus automatically losing it as the competition progressed. We had up to three users who actively participated, one even earning 9th overall, but the person who actually held White when the competition ended was a re-reg and thus immediately eliminated from the charts.

This would be the very first time no user has held the White banner at any given day of the competition if things go like this. Kind of a sad milestone, but in Spring we already had a sneak peek that this could happen until the very last days where the unexpected happened. Let's not lose hope until everything is really over.

EX Palen : Yesterday I was hoping to loosen that gap in red by a little bit more by earning a 7-pointer but I started too late in the day. I'm amazed that the battle for red has been so close and back-and-forth all month long. Even if I wasn't in it, I'd say it's the most entertaining part of this TdV. It even got mentioned in the thread title a few times, like today.

Well, it seems that I might be able to compete for the rest of the month after all, except for the 31st. I believe my friend Derek was talking about celebrating his birthday down here on the 31st and then taking me over to his house for a couple nights. That would be a huge relief for me. Not only does it give me the opportunity to secure the red jersey (if I have the time), it also ensures me that I can have a fun break from the internet afterwards! I didn't want to use all my 4G at his house anyway

Yesterday was a success for me, and I need to replicate that again and again until I'm far enough ahead to take the last day of the month off. If that doesn't work, there's nothing I can do but celebrate what I did win and the good times I had during this run.

Pacman+Mariofan mathematically wins the TdV.

Blah, I fell one point short to reach the fabled 500 total points. Well, here's to hoping I'll get that single point in the five days remaining, either because of my wordy nature or because of what's left of my role.

I managed to close the gap on Yuna, but I'm afraid I won't be scoring much more points besides Saturday so she has margin to pass muffin and secure at least 7th. It'll be hard for me to pass muffin as well, but the unexpected can happen at any given time this month.

Looks like Pac totally wants to wear three jerseys over his rainbow, and let's be honest, he totally deserves it. Putting up such a battle when slightly in disadvantage of ranks and probably a slight burnout from participating in the rest of jerseys as well is spectacular. The battle for Red promises to rage on until the very last day, and I fully know who I'll be cheering for.

EX Palen: Thank you for cheering me on! I'm actually not having burnout from my grind in the yellow and blue jerseys. I only got tired of it once in a while, which is why I'm near 100 points in the yellow alone. The red jersey, though, is another story. With the exception of yesterday, I can get burned out easily from the many actions I've done in order to gain enough CP.

Yesterday I had a ton of motivation and enthusiasm because it was double CP day in the action I've been doing to get the red: reviews. If I didn't make reviews almost every day for the past week and spend 1+ hours on each review, I never would have caught up. I even got another 7-pointer from yesterday. It's about time since I'll need all the points I can. I kept thinking the 31st would be my inactivity day for some reason, when in reality I'll be gone on the 30th and 31st if my friend Derek can have me both days.

In the worse case scenario, no 8120 could get 14 points in those 2 days and he would have the red for sure if I'm not already a good amount ahead of him. I hope I don't have to repeat yesterday's strategy again because what I did was create 2 reviews in one sitting and then submit screenshots and post! I had a burst of energy the whole time but I don't have that right now.

Basically, my plan from now until the 29th is to earn a 7-pointer in red every day. Now that drivers ed is complete, I can stay up until 1am my time (midnight server time) to fight if necessary, instead of having to let no 8120 pass me with an hour left. I'm willing to do different things to make that happen, maybe even picking up posting again which helped me reach 400 CP yesterday after the reviews.

I appreciate any support I get because it will motivate me farther to stay in this journey that I didn't think was possible: a chance for a non-staff to win the red jersey.

I had some issues with posting today with posts not showing up. I did however earn CP from those ghost posts. If you need to revoke some CP and Viz then I will not object to it since it was beyond my control. Neither my word count nor my post count were increased so those are safe.

Another change of plans just occurred. My friend Derek called and told me that he would be coming over tomorrow and I'd be going home on the 30th. I'm glad he didn't see me in real life because my jaw dropped for like 15 seconds. It shocked me and actually frustrated me.

I was like, bbbbbbbbbut the rrrrrrrrrred jerrrrrrrrrrseyyyyy-- until I realized... THIS IS BETTER! That way I can actually fight until the very end. And as I'm typing this post, I got the update that Derek's parents are OK with this, and my mom is too. So it's happening.

I've never been so involved in a competition and hyped about a finish in my entire life. YES!!

Pacman+Mariofan : Congrats on the win with over half a week left. I could get into the top 5 if I really wanted to. I might try, but it depends on the activity, and just how much work I would have to do to make it happen. 

Well, it's now official, we're now at day 28 and I've officially clinched overall green. Even if I were to do nothing the rest of the way and no 8120 were to get the 7 point bonus each day, I'd still beat him by 1 point.

At this point, the only thing left up for grabs is red.

For the first time ever, I have managed to grab a blue jersey. What an upset.
