Congo!: The red jersey is pretty easy especially if you write a game review. The game review I made yesterday is the reason why I won the red and the yellow! I've been trying to make reviews every day so I can beat no 8120 in the overall red jersey. It's exhausting but worth the effort.

Today I'm just going for red jersey and blue jersey points. I never have to try earning points in the yellow jersey because my posts are naturally 50+ words in most cases.

Who is Pacman+Mariofan competing against?

Wow, yesterday was surely an impressive day for me. Scoring in all four jerseys isn't a common thing, specially Blue, but seeing how numbers are rather low things like this are prone to happen.

Looks like I managed to get into the top 10 yet again. The people behind me will rarely get points, except thing1 who can come out of the shadows at any given time, and who knows if someone might start scoring regularly, 36 points isn't too far away from anybody's reach.

I'm now very close to the 500 total points mark, so maybe I'll do something about it. My staff role can still net me points next week, but I don't think it could be enough. My wordy nature will have to do the rest, I guess. And well, it would be interesting to get 8th again, I was 8th in 2015 so looks like that's my position on Summer after getting two 9th last year's and this year's Spring.

I laughed at today's title XD And to answer that question, I'm not competing against anybody for rainbow. I barely ever was in the first place! I am competing against no 8120 for the red jersey though. I really hope I can keep up because I only have 2 stories left to post before I run out and have to rely entirely on game reviews for my CP. Those take serious time and focus to make.

Thanks to yesterday, I was able to get my 40th green jersey. Who knows, I could possibly have more green jerseys than blue by the time this TDV's over. Not likely though, since I plan to pick up my posting for the final part of the month.

And four more points for me thanks to my wordy nature. Yay, I guess.

At the rate I'm going, I might enter the top 5 for Yellow, and I wouldn't discard yet doing the same in Red. Green seems a bit harder due to the people in front being capable of scoring big, though it's not yet a given.

Now that competition has died out, at least during this last week, it would be a nice timing for a newbie to get points. Let's hope we can get at least one participant for White, it wouldn't be fair for this edition to have an empty spot in the HoF.

The new staff hiring and the adjustments to the overall classification have left us with 7 staff+ members in the top 10. It was nice having balanced numbers for most of the month, but now we're back to routine it seems. Still time for this to change, but doesn't look like it even if several different non-staff are placing daily.

Can we just change my username color to white and say that the new member won the whole thing?

EX Palen : At least this time there's a non-staff winner and I'm leading in 3 out of the 4 jerseys currently, which might be unusual for a non-staff. I didn't expect that to be possible.

Um... Wow at the results that just came in after the maintenance. I just placed in the top 5 for both yellow and blue with very low numbers. Today was wide open for somebody to scoop up lots of points. I've been spending my free time with video games, but I might have to start competing soon. Now that I've said that, I bet the competition will suddenly become hardcore today

Slow day.

Wow. There's hardly anyody particpating in the TdV anymore. This is a sad day. I would think that this would be the 1 event that would get people active. 

Wow, yesterday was surely dead, but like I noted before, Saturdays in this competition tend to be like this.

I'm now in the top 5 for Yellow, which is kind of amazing. Getting runner-up again could be possible thanks to my wordy nature and if there's still no competition, but we'll see what happens. The top 5 for Green is unreachable now and Red still holds chances, but it looks like I'll have a hard time maintaining 8th overall due to Yuna stepping up to the stage (for her history in the TdV, it seems to be merely accidental though).

Let's see if my staff role and my wordy nature allow me to keep going up through the ranks. Some three points per day should be enough to keep at least 8th, and if the competition is this dead surprises are sure to occur. 

thing1 : There's basically only 1 person competing. This has never happened, especially in a summer TdV.

Yeah, 3 of the overall jerseys and the rainbow banner this time around have been completely one sided this time around due to inactivity. I wasn't even planning on doing much competing this time around, but the lack of competition in green early on made me change my mind quickly.

Davideo7 : I'm wondering if it's because I've been so consistent. I'd understand if no one wanted to try because they knew I would be trying my best almost every day of the month. Well, trying my best led to a domination like every TdV has been for a long while, and it feels so wrong. I'm not saying it's my fault because this TdV would have been more inactive if a previous winner was winning again. I've been competing to help the site, otherwise I might have taken more breaks.

For the past 2 days, I was debating whether or not I should stop competing and move on. I thought that I should give other users a chance to have some fun grabbing jerseys. I felt like me grabbing 3 jerseys for 3 days in a row was a little excessive. But don't worry, I've decided I'll still compete.

At this point, I'm pretty sure I've secured the yellow and blue jerseys so I'll stop competing for those. I'm likely to still put up points in the yellow though because I use reviews to gain enough CP for the red. So now it's time for me to focus solely on red and gain a good lead in that jersey because it seems that after this Friday, I'll be out of town until August which means I should focus on quality time with my friend.

For those of you who wanted to see me reach 300 points, I don't think I will for the reasons listed above. It isn't about how many points I have. It's about fairness and fun, not domination.

I'll likely still place in the blue and yellow jersey since I don't want to get DQ'd for more than 25% of my posts being in the same forum/thread. Plus, posting gives me CP and that's what I need for the red. It's just that I won't try to win the jerseys themselves for the day. If I do, it's purely accidental.

How come we haven't had a title for the Tour de France ending? That's disrespectful for the Yellow holder, it's their day of glory

Pacman+Mariofan : Nah, it's not because of you. We've had consistent scorers in previous competitions, but this time around nobody really aimed for nothing. If you don't start by aiming for an overall jersey you have literally no chance at rainbow, so if nobody isn't competing for any jersey even less will they fight for the overall classification.

Should you stop competing? Well, if you're reached your goals, then sure. A goal can be as simple as a statistic in the HoF, so if you have nothing to pursue then simply be yourself around the board, placing by accident like the rest of us (or most, at least). If there's something you want to reach, like a certain number of total jerseys or a position in those charts in the HoF, then go for it and dominate as much as you want, because the reason nobody is fighting you is that they don't have such goals in mind and thus we cannot put the blame on the single person who genuinely pursued something.

If you're aiming for Red, keep in mind that you're fighting against a staff member with a role that mostly requires constant activity all month long. Staff like that are prone to earn lots of CP just by their role (I've had two Reds this month, after all), so to keep him at bay you'll have to be constant there as well. Posts don't give that much CP, you should try to search other things that offer a better payout in case you need them.

Well, looks like by sneaking in to take blue from thing costed me green yesterday. Oh well, I still managed to increase my lead in overall green. I'm hoping to officially win overall green before the month ends.
