The Video Game Music Radio has had 2 new features added to it. For those who don't know, the stream can be found here:

Song Veto
If enough users veto a song, the song gets skipped. A song has to get to a veto weight of 5 in order to be skipped. Here's how much weight a user can add to the veto:
Users: Weight = 1
Trusted: Weight = 2
Elite: Weight = 3
Staff : Weight = 5

Staff Reload
If the stream freezes up, any staff member has the ability to go in and reload the stream so that the stream's page refreshes. It might not always fix the problem of the stream freezing up but it should work some of the time.

Staff : Letting you all know since this applies to all of you. Along with the current Video Game Music Radio Items I have planned, I might also at some point make an item that gives a regular user more weight to their veto.

I like this new Veto system. And... I'm guessing there's now a bot or something which deals with Vetoing?

I already see this system causing there to be no music being played.

What is really going to happen here is that trolls and the overly easily annoyed are going to have the first set of music that they don't want anybody to listen to ban without the slightest good explanation.  Than people are going to counter with having stuff the first group wants heard ban out of reflex as well as anything the staff likes since there votes are weighted so much out of reflex.  This reflex action will continue until there is no music able to be played anymore as 100% will be ban.

The only way to avoid this is if there is a requirement to explain why the song should be vetoed/banned for even the staff where the explanation is showed but whom made the explanation is never shown with bad explanations and no explanation votes for banning/vetoing counting as if they weren't made at all.

And than there are the people whom would think the ban/veto button is the skip button so that they can go to the next song either because they simply need a break from the song or want to get through the voting as quick as possible since they go right to the radio to listen to music without coming to threads like this to see the purpose of the new features.

The only way to deal with that group is to have the differences between the skip option and the ban/veto option explain right on the radio.

I think the idea is so there aren't a bunch of troll songs queued up.
Typically, the staff wouldn't risk their positions to troll either...

invinible : If it becomes an issue then I'll make adjustments but I wanted to get that system implemented sooner rather than later to prevent trolls from making a ton of crap requests.

AuroVee : I like the idea of a daily veto limit for users. I'll implement that eventually.
