The police are the protectors of our society.... or so we think. At times, discipline may be our best bet, due to the severity of certain, racy situations. However, police brutality has recently come loose and has rose to absurd levels, for all types of reasons. My question: are the police justified or not? You decide. (Of course, I don't think so....)

I do not think all of the police should be lumped into the same pile as the morons that beat,taze,or shoot people with little provocation. There are many cops that try to do the right thing,that just gets overshadowed when you see a police brutality case splashed all over the place. I still would rather be armed and deal with an intruder myself than cower and call 911,playing the police get there in time.

I fully agree with Oldschool. Police brutality is a rather vague term. What police brutality is being covered is being extremely sensationalized and I'd argue that a lot of people's personal definition of the term are wrong.

If we're talking about playground bullies with a badge and a gun, they're a disgrace to law enforcement and everything it stands for and I think a fitting punishment would be an old-fashioned tar and feathering and they should literally be run out of town on a rail.
