I have a stupid question: is it really not working? I'm trying to earn Viz for this item and if I could spend all the Viz, all of my 15000 Viz would be wasted for literally nothing if this is currently not working. Also, please make it work once the progress is done. I'd be appreciated.

No. It doesn't work currently. Davideo may someday make it a thing again, but for now, everyone gets the same speed. It's been that way for a while, sadly. It does say that in the description, I believe.

I'm pretty sure the item no longer works because what used to be the "Boosted" download speed is just the norm for everyone now. Instead of limiting the bandwidth for those without the item, I think it was made so everyone could download them as fast as the server / their connection would allow. This would make sense if David had less capable servers when first adding the Retro Game Room, but has upgraded them multiple times since then. 

As far as I can tell the games already download just as quickly as anything else I've ever found online. Honestly, they might even be faster than a lot of services I've come across. I know for sure Vizzed downloads games faster than Steam in a straight comparison of even file sizes lol (and most of the files are much smaller since the games are retro ).
