So, today it is, the 18th February 2017.

10 years ago, the original Acmlm's Board closed down, probably one of the largest and best-remembered AcmlmBoards to this day, which was all about ROM Hacking, life and many other things.

I'd love to have been a part of this community, but was way too young, I would have been about 5 when it closed, so eh.

Most of the original community have moved on to other things, so there's practically no way to contact them now and the majority are now in their 20s-30s.

So er yeah, I was just want to say this...

Heyyyy that's what Vizzed was originally based on! I know a few other forums that still use Acmlm's format. That's actually pretty cool to know it's been closed for a whopping 10 years.

If I'm correct, David was inspired to create Vizzed Board by his time on Acmlm's Board, right? If so, that means that it's been a decade since an important part of Vizzed history vanished into the ether.

It would've been nice to try being part of the board. I probably would have ended up posting some really dumb things, though, and I would've been too young to join it before its closure.

Also, on a related note, there is a successor to Acmlm's board known as Board 2 owned by blackhole89, but it has been mostly inactive outside of the ROM hacking sections, and I'm banned there for repeatedly creating alternate accounts (the last time, I lost my password). You might want to check it out, it has some useful resources and the general hacking community there is decent enough if you're into retro hacking.
There are also other splits but Board 2 is probably the closest to the original Acmlm site.
