Hey, hey, hey guys. Today i will explain how to unlock several parts you can use for your own levels. But obviously, to get them, you will have to do something in return. What is that thing you need to do? To unlock everything, you need to complete the Super Mario Mission feature once and once you do it again, at 12-3 you'll receive secret levels. But i'll explain it all in here.

You have several of elements you already have, like a Warp Pipe, the Brick Blocks, the ?-Blocks, etc.. For short, elements you could use for one single overworld level, so it's not exactly what you call "a good amount of choices". And that's where Super Mario Mission is for... Well, sort of. You also can use Super Mario Mission to get away from boredom. But Super Mario Mission is also useful to unlock these things in these worlds:

Lakitu - Clear World 1
Bridge - Clear World 1
Cloud (one you can walk on) - Clear World 2
Rocky Wrench(*1) - Clear World 2
Vine Plant - Clear World 3
Thwomp - Clear World 3
Fire Piranha Plant - Clear World 4
Mushroom Platform - Clear World 4
Buzzy Beetle - Clear World 5
Lava Bubble(*2) - Clear World 5
Spike Top(*3) - Clear World 6
Note Block/Pink Note Block(S/S) - Clear World 6
Monty Mole - Clear World 6
Bob-Omb/Ignited Bob-Omb(S/S) - Clear World 7
Arrow Sign - Clear World 7
Spiny - Clear World 8
POW-block - Clear World 8
Sideways Trampoline - Clear World 9
Boo Buddies(*4) - Clear World 9
Ice Block - Clear World 10
Chain Chomp - Clear World 10
Muncher(*5) - Clear World 11
Grinder - Clear World 11
Wiggler - Clear World 12
P-Switch - Clear World 12
P-Switch Door - Clear World 12
Cannon - Clear World 13
Yoshi Egg/Goomba In Shoe(S/S) - Clear World 13
Koopa Clown Car(*6) - Clear World 14
One-Way Wall - Clear World 14
Buzzy Beetle's Shell - Clear World 15
Conveyor Belt - Clear World 15
Spiny's Shell - Clear World 16
Bumper(*7) - Clear World 16
Lava Lift - Clear World 16
Skewers(*8) - Clear World 17
Magikoopa(*9) - Clear World 17
Key - Clear World 18
Key Door - Clear World 18
Fire Koopa Clown Car - Clear World 18

The 12 secret levels that will appear in Levelbot can be unlocked at 40 medals and completing Super Mario Mission. And here is what you get once you complete the 12 secret levels:

Pink Coins(*10) - Clear the 12 secret levels
Bowser Jr. - Clear the 12 secret levels

Alright, that's all for now. If i missed some info, i would love to update this guide. For now, i will say: Have fun with building levels! And do not forget, the guides the pigeon and the woman in the game have are useful! Just follow all lessons and you'll know why!

Meanings of the (*) number symbols:

(*1) =  A Rocky Wrench is a mole that throws Wrenches on airships. They can be beaten by jumping on them when going out of their hiding spot, which is on the floor.
(*2) = A Lava Bubble isn't actually a bubble at all. It's a ball of fire that jumps out of lava non-stop. The higher you place it in the game, the higher it reaches.
(*3) = A Spike Top is like a Buzzy Beetle, but a Spike Top can walk on walls and ceilings and has one spike on its shell, making it immune for jumping and fire balls. Stars can beat them, though.
(*4) = Boo Buddies are a circle of a bunch of boos, and a gap is in the circle too. They float around the spot where you hold them and they are like normal Boos.
(*5) = A Muncher is a plant that is known as the hardest enemy in the Mario franchise. Why? Because only a POW-Block defeats them. And nothing else!
(*6) = A Koopa Clown Car is originally Bowser's vehicle, and can be used by anything to fly. Enemies and even items use it or the fire variant to attack Mario, and the player can use it to fly/attack with Y/X (hold to charge a bigger fireball)
(*7) = A Bumper is the oppositie of the Grinder (= a saw of 3x3 blocks), because a Bumper bumps Mario away. Only enemies and items just go through them, though. It's useful for a machine where Mario can't have access to!
(*8) = A Skewer is an invincible pillar with spikes. They hide somewhere, then pull back and extend to crush Mario. Enemies and items don't have any trouble with these things.
(*9) = Magikoopa is a Koopa with a magic wand and blue sorcerer clothes. They fire magic shapes at Mario and once it hits a block, it turns into an enemy or an item (yes, 1-UP Mushrooms included!) Then they teleport to somewhere else at the scene.
(*10) = Pink Coins are used to make a key. And the maximum pink coins in one level is 10. Just figure out yourself HOW you get them. But here's a hint: In the main area, only 5 coins can fit.

I mean, the unlock system in Super Mario Maker 3DS is way better then the one in the WiiU version. In fact, I honestly couldn't care less about the Wii U version unlocking system, as I would just get an 100% save online, and just force inject into CEMU.

Would you mind if I repost this on my board?

I personally hate the unlocking system of both versions. I want to build levels, not spend 8-10 hours speeding through the game with NTR on just to build what I want to build.

But anyway yeah I'm pretty sure you can put it on your forum, we don't copyright posts lol.

Well, I mean, I think its an improvement, because, uh, why should you have to wait an entire 2 weeks just to make it so that way you can place new objects and themes. I mean, you have a bunch of things unlocked right from the start in SMM3DS. Also, it engages players to learn better level design, and see what cool mechanics they can do without being filled with bad level design. Course World, I'm looking at you.

Also, its not that I'm scared of copyright. I'm just wanting permission from the original poster

NightYoshi370 :

You can.

Sorry for short post. I'll make it slightly longer by just apologizing, is that okay?
