Wouldn't it be cool if Capcom finally got their heads on straight and made a new one? Hell they could do 2 games and that would be awesome. Maybe do one of all the robots from Mega Man 1-10, and maybe introduce some new robots for a possible sequel. Then do one for the X series. I think that would be one way to get an interest back in Mega Man, because I am sure a lot of you know, many fans of the series have lost hope. Your thoughts?

That would be a huge game, literally. That is 78 stages, and that is for the classic series. That would be a headache to program and for the player to keep straight. I like the idea, though. Maybe add an upgrade system a la River City Ransom with bolts to collect. I think we have lost hope is because Inafune (Mega Man's creator) was either forced out or was unhappy with Capcom and he made a spiritual successor,Mighty Number 9 which was a hot mess.

Capcom has much to answer for and I think they are considering reviving their old IP's. They should do something to appease the fans, because we decide, with our wallets,if we are going to keep you afloat. They have no real margin for error. They are not huge like Nintendo, and can make mistake after mistake.

That would be sick. I've never played the game myself but I've seen gameplay and I think that the game really needs an updated version. It's a shame that Capcom ditched inafune so this'll never be a reality..

I personally have only ever played 1 mega man, and that on my friends GBA in Middle School. It had cards with the battle, so that steared me away.

But, I know Mega Man is good business. So yeah, let's have a sequel.

Oldschool777 : It would be a huge game, but if it done right and a reasonable price or even full price, and have some multiplayer thrown in on top of a huge story mode. I'd love it. It would put Mega Man back on the map, maybe we can see more Mega Man games, and I think it would be a contender with Marvel Vs Capcom, but the planets would have to align perfectly for that to happen at this point.

I have a ton of ideas, just wish I was a game developer and had billions of dollars. I'd love to start my own company, and get a hold of that Mega Man franchise and start making great games, sadly I don't have the smarts. It's funny how fans can make amazing fan games for the blue bomber, and when they are successful and gain popularity Capcom gets mad over it, or they promote it and try to take all the limelight.

HeavyMetalGamer : Nothing wrong with a huge game at all. The problem is that Capcom has basically ticked off a lot of fans with their past decisions and they are in the unenviable position of trying to win back the public's trust. Trust is like a house of cards,it takes time and patience to build, but it is very easy to knock down. Even Mega's creator (Inafune) released a sub-standard Mega Man knockoff. That is unfortunate, because in the beginning it looked promising.

It is true that there are many fan made games, and some of them are amazing. Capcom is just acting like a dirty diapered baby or bully when they want them shut down (Nintendo-esque) or they either buy it for a low price or take credit for a game like Mega Man vs. Street Fighter.

Oldschool777 : Yeah, Capcom has lost me as a fan, I won't pay full price for a game from them. I won't buy Resident Evil 7, I won't buy the new MvC. I think the Mega Man 1-6 release on mobile is stupid. I could go on and on and on. I miss the old Capcom, back when they kicked ass and made amazing games. At least I can go back and play those, but I want them to still be a great company. Obviously we know what happened there.

I mean I understand why a developer shuts a fan game down, but at the same time, I heavily support fan games, so I can't get mad at Capcom or Nintendo, but when Capcom took almost all credit for Mega Man X Street Fighter that ticked me off. The only credit they should get is it's their characters and they at least were nice enough to give it support, but all these media sites were saying Capcom this, Capcom that, Capcom did this, yet they barely mentioned the fan that did something really cool.

HeavyMetalGamer : I think Capcom lost a lot of fans. Many of whom were die hard fans. I would agree,I probably would never pay full price for a Capcom release. I miss those days too, when you saw Capcom, they delivered hit after hit. A mobile release would feel weird,as you have to tap the screen instead of a controller. Capcom is going to have to suffer for a long time and rebuild themselves.

Capcom is not the only ones that forgot what greatness was. EA has forgotten,Nintendo has definitely forgotten, and the newest to the roster is Konami. Back then,Konami and Capcom were hit making machines, they listened to the fans and knew how to make a great game. I think when Capcom's Inafune was dissatisfied there and were shelving proven games and killed off Clover Studios, makers of the Viewtiful Joe series, while Konami screwed over Kojima, the maker of Metal Gear, snubbing him at a event, and making the horrible Metal Gear Survive, that they are making the same mistakes that nearly killed the industry in the early 80's.

You do not treat people that came up with your best series like garbage. You do not bite the hand that feeds you, which is the public. You must evolve or die, unlike EA,who refused to try to make the CoD series better and just rehashes the same game, year after year.

Sorry for the rant.
