Well since I last posted we had another tornado outbreak down here in the south.

On Jan 12 multiple rounds of thunderstorms moved over my area. The worst was the mid-day wave. The mid-day wave produced several tornadoes and lots of damaging winds. The winds in the thunderstorms were estimated to be between 70-80 mph.

Then it turned cool for the past few days. This coming week I have forecaste a warm up with more rain and storms. Then I have forecasted another cool down for my area.

This winter in my area is a roller coaster, which I forecasted. The main driving force is the La Nina that developed in 2020 is still active.

The last two days have been extremely windy during the mornings, though as the sun sets calm seems to reign again. It¡s not the worst wind I've ever seen, but it was still kind of noticeable and I wouldn't be surprised if we had gusts of 30 mph at some point during the day.

Other than that, it's basically chilly. The sun still heats up noticeably, but not as much as before, and nights do seem a bit colder now. Still nothing too extreme, though that climate is expected to come here by February and it's not that far away anymore.

It's gone from under 32 up to 54 today, so back to fall weather all of a sudden. I personally believe that around 50 is when it's neither hot nor cold so I'm completely okay with it getting up to 50.

Man I wish March would hurry up because next week the temps in Winnipeg are going to be normal like in the minus double digits range there's going to be at least two days next week where I'm not going to want to leave the house at all, and yet somehow it's a miracle we haven't seen -40 windchills so far in the calendar year

I'm not really in a hurry to dig out my reading material I'm just eager to get out of the house more often

Weather today was actually quite nice, lower 50s during the day and then mid 40s at night.

It went from actually nice out back down to the 30s with it currently being 37 though tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 50s for a bit before a storm so likely going back to winter weather here in the state famous for nature not being able to make up its mind what season it is.

It has become very cold in the last days, even when the sun is out you can't take off the jacket. The ice cold wind doesn't help at all, the smallest breeze already hits you hard.

Today has been cloudy and with light rain all day, so the sensation was much colder. We've gone from just jackets to coats, gloves and scarves in just a few days time.

Winter took its time to come, but it's finally here. Let's see how long it lasts, because I'm not really fond of low temperatures (and even less of leaden days like today).

The weather has been pretty nice for the last few days. The year started by having a lot of rain once or twice every three days but today is the fourth day in a row that it hasn't rained so it's been a blessing. It's been raining so much that I'm almost positive that if it was like 10 degrees colder, we would have had three separate blizzards this month.

Today's been raining all day and with powerful wind gusts. Definitely not a day to go outside, and it wouldn't be rare to see streets and roads packed with snow because temperatures have dropped significantly since the weekend.

I hope it can clear a bit for tomorrow, streaks like these absolutely kill me. I don't mind the cold, but at least give me some sunlight to bathe in during the morning or afternoon instead of the gray sky we've had these past 48 hours.

Since yesterday night it's also been extremely windy. Some of my neighbors have had a thing or two swept away by gusts, though luckily my terrace managed to mostly stand its ground.
