So, it's been a while since I decided to make a FNAF thread. i had an enjoyable time doing it way back, so I decided to make some more, even though I know a lot of you who don't care about the series, there may be some who do. (Don't worry, I won't get triggered this time. You old-timers know what I'm referring to
Anyway, my last FNAF thread was about the upcoming release of FNAF 4, around a year and a half ago. A lot has happened since then in the series. We thought it was over, but it wasn't. Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location came out on October 7, 2016, and introduced a ton of new lore and more questions. Scott had another surprise for us, though. On December 2, 2016, Scott released free DLC for the game that added Custom Night to the game. The actual gameplay for Custom Night isn't canon, but the cutscenes that play when you beat certain modes in the Custom Night are.
One of the modes, named Golden Freddy mode, which is the hardest mode, was confirmed to be intentionally impossible to beat by Scott. Scott
updated the game one final time on December 3 (I think) and made it a teensy bit easier to beat it. Eventually, people beat it. And they got a BIG surprise. This is possibly the biggest thing to happen in the lore. Once you beat Golden Freddy mode on Very Hard, this cutscene plays:
https://youtu.be/DQLvP3QDoaEThis cutscene reveals a TON. Way more than we expected, and this came as a HUGE surprise to the community. At the very end of the cutscene, you can see Springtrap barely visible, coming out from the side of the camera's view for a split second. Also take note that this cutscene takes place after the end of FNAF 3, after Fazbear's Fright burned down. What does this all mean?
It means that Purple Guy "(AKA William Afton)" is not the murderer, nor is he William Afton like the community has thought all this time. The Purple Guy is Michael Afton, William Afton's son.
Think back to the minigames from FNAF 2. You know what, think about everything in the franchise as a whole. Have we ever ACTUALLY seen Purple Guy kill someone? No. We saw a different, sort of "Pink Guy" looking person. We all just thought this was still Purple Guy due to the minigames just being in 8 bit.
The only person we ever see killing any children on screen is that Pink Guy. Two minigames in FNAF 2 show this. William Afton, the true killer, is Pink Guy. Michael Afton, his son, and the one who is wrongly accused, is Purple Guy.
There's more. This also means that Michael Afton is inside Springtrap, not William. Michael Afton was wrongly convicted because they thought HE was the killer, due to their similarities. Because of this, he was presumably killed inside the Spring Bonnie suit.
This cutscene DOES bring many questions, but one thing is for sure: The FNAF lore has just been altered in a way that not many people can comprehend. I'm still having a hard time believing this, it's crazy.
This cutscene basically confirms that there will be a FNAF 6 of some sort, presumably having something to do with Michael looking for his father. I'm sure everything will be revealed, in time. I predict that a teaser of some sort will pop up sometime early 2017. What do you all think about this? Thanks for reading.
