A few minutes ago, while doing research on ancient music, I accidentally visited a link to Yahoo, which I heard has become a Root kit by the request of some high-up group, probably law enforcement. Anyway, since I visited Yahoo for a few seconds, I'm afraid that my PC has been infected with Yahoo's Root kit. I deactivated my Yahoo account months ago after I learned about what Yahoo did not too long ago. In case my computer has been infected with a Root kit, how do I remove its effect from my computer? I don't want foreign corporations deleting important files while I'm sleeping.

TouchMaster97 : You should first run a few scans to see if you do indeed have a rootkit.
Spybot, Malwarebytes, and Avast should let you know if you've been infected.
