As the title says I can now record my 3DS screen now, this means I can record 3DS games for the site which is pretty much very needed. The way I do this is with a console softmod called A9LH as well as a homebrew app known as NTR CFW. It's cheaper than investing almost $250 in a capture card. There is going to be lag though as NTR CFW uses Internet to stream to a application on the computer. So the framerate changes from 36-41 FPS frequently. But it's not too bad as it gets the job done. To show you I have this I posted a gameplay video of Pokémon Sun which you can find below.

That's awesome man. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous lol

One of these days I'm going to figure out a way to do the same thing with my PS3 (or probably PS4 by the time I could afford what I'd need), and add a ton of videos for that. Retro games are all well and good, but more modern ones will definitely help bring more exposure to the site's YouTube channel, and hopefully Vizzed in general.

Cheaper than $250? So is it like $230? If it's cheap enough than I might get something like this, I always wanted to record some of the games that I play because if I could record those, it wouldn't be so much easier to record than PC games.

I was really tempted to get a New 3DS just for that. If I had been able to snag one of those $99 New 3DS's from Black Friday without having to go out into the crowds, I would've just for this streaming/recording ability.

Linkums : Keep in mind the Black Friday ones are on 11.0. It is very hard to soft mod N3DS's on the version. Your options will be either to get a hardware modification or to have someone do a very complicated exploit.

18mlivingston : Yeah, I was seeing that. I hear that there's a new, easier exploit coming in December which uses the vulnerable DSiWare (I have Four Swords already, so could probably do something). I'll just wait and see what happens with that I guess. I wasn't able to get the Black Friday New 3DS anyway (and didn't really try either).
