I don't keep track of hours on anything, but Smash 4 definitely has to be getting up there on hours, especially 'cause it's been two years and I'm still to get bored of it. I don't expect to get bored of that as long as there's still local tournys to attend for it. I expect to end up playing few thousand hours or more of it in my life. I'd have to be at least about 1000 hours already on it. Other games I've wasted my life on and don't regret would be Cave Story (just getting Iron Bond and Booster v2.0 isn't enough, gotta do the whole game 3 HP Basic Weapons! There just isn't a shortage of things to do in Cave Story, and I'm still playing the FOSS release.), Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (great gameplay and story. Not much room for challenges like Cave Story, but it's great for another playthrough when bored), Minecraft (no explanation needed), Digimon Rumble Arena (pure nostalgia, I only recommend the music), and Sonic 2/the Sonic franchise as a whole.

bigger0gamer : I see. Yeah every now and then some people or most get bored of the same game. But, it depends what games have to offer since all of them have different kind of grind to complete in that game. Or if you just really enjoy playing the game that much. Its different for everyone so I can get what you are saying. I mean every once in a while I change games at times to get some more hours onto whatever game, that I am playing.

Eniitan : The way I see it, single player can only last as long as there is something you haven't done 20 times yet, but multiplayer lasts as long as you have good and/or fun opponents to play against (or with), and considering the amount of people there are to play against (or with) in any multiplayer game, a game can easily last forever if it has good multiplayer. A good example is Mynamescox44: 's post. He has a total of 1700 hours between 4 single player games, and 1250 at least for a single game purely because of multiplayer, plus all the hours from other installments from the same franchise, which would nearly double that number. Smash 4 will last me, just look at all the people still playing Melee, despite there having been two installments since and there being another active scene for the current installment. I don't even want to know how many hours M2K has put into Melee alone.

EDIT: As an afterthought, this is likely why so many people here have 1000+ hours clocked on Minecraft.

I have 677 hours of Garry's Mod. Multiplayer games tend to take up a great amount of time for me since there's so much to do with multiplayer. I don't think I have quite as much time with anything else

I also have a Kingdom hearts 2 file with around 250 hours on it, though a lot of it is probably just idle time.

I think my most played game on Steam is Town of Salem with 65 hours. I'm not sure what my most played game on XBOX is. I'm not sure that there is a way to organize that on TrueAchievment... I should suggest that. 

bigger0gamer : That's pretty much true thanks for reminding me about that. Yeah I can see why most who are big fan of minecraft that get 1000 hours into it. Since I see they create many things in the game.

Eniitan : Oh, I definitely have higher. Take Skyrim: Special Edition on XBOX and Rocket League on XBOX. I have 67 hours and 45 minutes on Rocket League right now and another 106 Hours and 11 minutes in Skyrim Special Edition. 
The highest on my Steam is probably Town of Salem though, because I don't know how to organize my games by time played.

thing1 : Ah I see thanks for posting back to show me. I wondered since I know you have other games that you played. Which was the reason why I asked in the first place.

On Steam, Dota 2 is my most played at nearly 1200 hours, with Binding of Isaac at 350, TF2 at 250, and GM at 150. Overwatch I'm currently around 200 hours with I think.... But easily my most played would be Transformice on the web, even though I don't play it anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if my playtime on Transformice was somewhere within 2000 hours.... Gosh Transformice was a ride. Realm of The Mad God was also extremely similar playtime to Transformice for me, especially counting my dabbling with private servers, but ROTMG is the sort of game where you put it down out of frustration and then come skulking back later. 

Super Smash Bros. Brawl ate up a lot of my time, although I don't have the stat at this moment. I played every single mode, completed many, many matches against both AI and human players, and had a huge amount of fun with the game, even though I wasn't particularly good at it.

Swordrown : Oh I see are you into steam games more than console games? Since that looks like a lot of them you play.

NovemberJoy : That's cool. A lot of people love playing that game, and are big fans of it too. For me don't really play that game.

Eniitan : I was hooked to the GameCube for a while with titles like Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Mario Party 7, but I don't think they quite compare in playtime

NovemberJoy: I did that stuff more with Melee than with Brawl, but Brawl is definitely an underrated game in the series that I love the heck out of.

I think my most played game ever is Pokemon Omega Ruby. I have clocked in around 134 hours on that game. It's a great game, but Pokemon Moon is the best in the series.

Lexatom : I heard the game is really good, but as you said pokemon moon no doubt is the best. I would expect the game to be. XD

Swordrown : Oh, I don't think I have ever heard of those games on the gamecube....they all seem fun to play.

When I find a great game. I buy some red bulls and make a weekend out of it.

My longest time playing a game on Steam is 630 hours, but it's an idle game, so IDK if it counts. 
Other than that one, Skyrim has 130 hours. 

Outside of Steam, I have 266 hours on Pokémon Diamond. Along with 130 hours on Pokémon Platinum. 

So, they're the games I have the longest time on. However, this week alone, I have 56 hours on CS:GO.
