For this, you should probably have PSNProfiles, which will tell you how rare a certain trophy is based on how many people have gotten it.

I have 4 trophies that are considered very rare with a obtainable percentage of less than 10% My rarest trophy is from the game Dragon Fin Soup ad is the only Ultra rare trophy that I have, and is at 3.71% unlocked.

Sadly, I have not unlocked a single rare trophy in all of 2016. The rarest trophy I got in 2016 is Uncommon and is from Minecraft at 30.04%

I have 4 trophies that are considered ultra rare right now which I'm guessing will soon be 5. Ironically enough, my rarest trophy is from a game where I actually wasn't going out of my way to earn it. It's from the "free to play" game Pinball Arcade. Which is more of application that lets you play various pinball tables based on real life ones. It gives you one for free called Arabian Nights kind of as an unlimited free trial, but all the other ones cost real money.

The trophy itself is called Tales Master, is a silver trophy and has a 2.90% completion rate. It's gained for completing all the standard goals for that table which basically consists of getting the ending, triggering multiball in various ways along with some other things. I got it after playing it quite a bit as a time waster more than anything else. I used to play an actual real life one when I was younger so in that sense I guess it's fitting that I have it. There's an ever harder trophy called Tales Wizard which is closer to 1% but I doubt I'll ever get that one.

After that it's my zombi platinum trophy which is at 4.61% completion which is my 3rd and last platinum that I've gotten so far. I beat the game some time ago but returned to beat it on the easy and survival difficulty modes about a month later (survival essentially means game over if you die) in the course of two or so days. It was still easier to get than my first platinum for Bloodborne which ironically isn't too rare. I'm guessing that's because it was free on PS+ so a lot of people own it that otherwise wouldn't, while a lot of people who buy Bloodborne do so for the challenge and set out to get the platinum from the start.

Zlinqx : Lol, you want to know what I think? I think when people see "free game" they just play it regardless and then give up long before they even reach many of the trophies. The ultra rare one I got for instance was pretty easy and I got it after playing for 30 minutes.

I currently have three Ultra Rare trophies, all for the same game: Trackmania Turbo.

All three revolve around clearing the fourth series of challenges, out of the five the game offers. Clearing the third chapter of that series is a bronze trophy with a 4.21% completion rate, clearing the fourth chapter is a bronze trophy with a 3.86% completion rate and clearing the whole series is a silver trophy that has a 3.68% completion rate.

Not sure why the numbers don't match for the last two, since technically you should win them at the same time. I recall that some episodes could be accessed without having to pass each one before it, but I doubt that's the case so deep into the game. Still, that's what my profile says, and I'll stick to that.

I have a shot at earning a couple trophies which are below those percentages, but they won't come home for a long time. Still, the difference isn't that high, so not like it would matter. I could also go insane and attempt one below 2.5%, but it requires 24 hours of continuous playtime and that could put a lot of strain on a console I want to have "intact" for a long time.

zanderlex : That or simply just not being interested in the game. The same is probably the case with the Dragon Fin Soup, I have that game as well from when it was part of the monthly PS+ lineup yet I've only ever played through the opening part. It never grabbed me and since I have bunch of other games I'd rather play It's just sort of sitting there in my backlog and I'll probably never play it again unless I become bored. Which is sort of hard to get when you have school and whatnot limiting your video game playing time. Same is the case with a lot of other PS+ games a lot of which I've never even launched. It's why "rarest trophies" can be a bit misleading in terms of how difficult or time consuming it actually is.

I have multiple trophies under the 5% tier according to PSN profiles.

My rarest is "Dunk Off" for beating a challenger in a dunk off in NBA 2k10. Only 1.21% of people have achieved it, according to that site.

Beyond that, it's my MLB 12 the Show platinum that I earned in 2 weeks and 2 days, which only 1.26% of people have earned.
