Ok guys so I figured to make this thread. Because I was born with as some or most of you know with one of my leg longer than the other I can't balance too well. So what happens? Sometimes I can fall up the stairs or down. To be honest I fall down the stairs more than falling up. Its quite annoying so I make sure that doesn't always happen. I mean I don't do it on purpose it just happens on its own. And no, I don't want any pity because of that. I would just like to know if this tends to happen to you.

I fall up more than down, actually. Maybe it's because I'm lazy enough to not lift my legs more than necessary to barely pass each slope

While the above is more tripping than falling, the only time I remember falling down the stairs was after a party. With a few drinks, my clumsiness magnifies and gave myself a hard hit. However, alcohol also gave me immunity, as I didn't feel the pain until I woke up the day after with a few bruises in my body.

I have tended to fall up the stairs a few times myself.
A product of being in a hurry I find myself going forward faster than my legs go up. Usually the step has a little overhang and my foot catches it. Both legs find themselves in the air and soon enough both knees find themselves crashing onto the next step.
At home its not too bad since the steps have a little carpeting but when I was at university the stairs had no such cushion and the knees felt it.

I don't fall often. I trip a lot but never enough to fall, the last time was robably many years ago, I remember I hurt my head when that happened but nothing was wrong lol.

I have fallen up and down the stairs on a few occasions, it spooks me for a second, and I usually have hurt shins for a little while afterwards. But I've never been seriously hurt doing so.

I usually don't fall. But when i do, it's only for a few steps. I hurt my ankle when it happens sometimes. You said you don't wan't pity, but I cannot help but empathize with your struggle. Oh have I? I swear I don't have feet, I have bubble wrappers or something. One of the most epic stair fails was in our old house, I stumbled on my own feet while standing motionless (see bubble wrapper legs) on a flat surface at the very top of a 20+ steps wooden staircase with no rails so nothing stopped me... well I got down the steps very quickly with quite the momentum. I wasn't hurt but, merely dizzy from all that spinning. So I started climbing the front porch as a "safer" way up and down the second  story lol

I think I've fallen DOWN stairs more than UP stairs, mainly because the one time I fell up the stairs, I was in the middle of a crowded staircase, so I started doing push-ups, being all like, "Don't lookit me, I'm just doin' pushups on the stairs, I didn't trip up them."

I've done it many times yes. I had little slips and I've had full on tumbles. It usually happens because I'm trying to go down the stairs way too fast. Thankfully I haven't fallen down the stairs at my new place yet because they are fairly steep.

I don't do good with steep stairs at all...with those ones I have to go up like very slowly. I don't tend to take it because my mother will make sure, that I take the lift instead so then I wouldn't end up having a terrible accident.
