Family.....a word most of us knows about and of. There are times we fight with that one person in the family or it could be a few. Let me share mine for instance. The most person who I would butt heads in my family is my mother. Most or some of you will know why for those who don't its basically when I don't really get listened too, I tend to butt head with my mother. Its not easy I know families in a way are supposed to help, and support you. Sadly not all people are born in one for those that have one, its always good to be grateful for what you have. Anyways back to the topic. Who do you normally but heads with? Your mother? Father? Sister or brother? It could be anyone. I would like to know why if that is possible too. If not then I can respect as of why you can't really explain. Since it would be a personal feeling not to be able to share to people. Not everyone would be able to have the courage to speak about it.

I used to butt heads with everyone in my family. Let me explain something first, a lot of it was probably my fault.

When I was growing up, I refused to accept my step-father as my dad, so we clashed. This also made me clash with my mother, who married him. The two siblings who lived with me were the opposite and f***ing worshipped him.

As such, I was the black sheep, and my teenage years were the worst. Now, the step-douche is out of my life, and my mom has divorced him. Now with him out of the picture, my mom and I have a very mature relationship where we accept each other for who each other is. My brother and I have never been closer. The only person I still don't get along with is my sister, who is just a spoiled b****.

legacyme3 : Wow....thats uh....thats a lot to take in. I'm honesty surprised leggy considering I didn't really know about that side. I know you explain things about you life either some or most so seeing this has made me to think in a whole different direction, a lot of things to do with family. Glad to hear you and your mother get along now. I try and do the same for my mother, but its not that easy because of how her personality is really. So my relationship with her is rocky in a way its ok, but not the best thing ever sadly.

Just about everyone. I'm mature now and after 5 years, I've made contact with my oldest sister and nieces and met my two gorgeous new nieces. After 3 years, I can actually Facebook my oldest brother and somewhat talk civilized once in a blue moon. None of it was my fault just got caught in a hateful sibling battle for half a decade. I try to talk to them as much as I am able to remember they exist. I forget to reach out a lot since I've become quite solitary. My oldest brother is quite a pain. Beyond selfish, arrogant, and likes to belittle me as a human so, I stay away. Sadly, I have no male in my family to go to for comfort or help but, my mother and my sister are great friends to me now. 

Pretty much all of them. My dad and my sister to a much lesser degree, but there are still moments. I pretty much hate everything about how my mother and my brother conduct themselves. I generally respect everyone until they've earned my disrespect, and my mom in particular has earned it 100 times over. She thinks I owe her something just because I came out of her, but it's not like either of us got to pick, is it?

Eniitan : I used to butt heads with my younger brothers quite a bit in the past, but now we've reached an understanding. No matter how often you fight with family, in times of need, they will always be there for you. My moral: families are full of love. Life is about love. Love life. jlove92 : Wow....thats really emotional and quite a story too. I'm happy at least some things in a way turned out great for you. Its not always easy to deal with family members especially if one is extremely a jerk, and being selfish for no apparent reason.....thank you for taking the time to post here in this thread. I didn't think it would be so emotional.....

Ultrajeff : I see, that's really good that you were able to fix something with your brothers. Its always good to do that. And yes I know no matter how we fight families will be there for you regardless of why the fighting is there in the first place. Also thank you, for saying you like my profile. I like it too it fits what I needed to change about my layout, and profile.

I don't see the majority of my family that often with the exception of my close family (parents and brother) and my uncle Kenneth (I go to soccer matches with him) but when I do see my wider family it is mainly for big events/holidays such as weddings,funerals,Hogmany etc. My close family I don't butt heads with as we all think alike. Outside of that I don't really talk to my cousins,uncles,aunties that much when the family meets up so I don't really pay attention to what is being discussed which is fine by me as the arguments that ensue tend to happens for silly reasons. So yeah I don't butt heads with anyone in my family.

I butt heads with everyone in my (immediate) family. The way it is with us is, when my mom is cool, my dad is pissed at me, and vice versa. They can never both be sane at the same time . To make matters worse, my brother is pretty annoying and gets under my skin quite a bit, leading me to get in trouble even more. I tend to "butt heads" with my mom and dad a lot. We disagree on many political things and many ethical and social things as well. I'm usually pretty respectful towards them and talk to them in a calm, peaceful, and I would appreciate it if I got the same courtesy from them a little bit more. They use their authority to talk to me in a condescending and more "ordering" manner. 

DylanMcKaig : That's very good to hear its not often I see that with most people really. So in a way when I read your post it was good to see you don't butt heads with anyone in your family.

RDay13 : Yeah I know....we talk often a lot about it hang in there rday. Its unfair what your brother does to you to get you more into trouble. And I do respect my mother too its just her controlling which is annoying, and what you said how your parents talk to you is what she does to me as well. Sometimes I like it when she is calm and quiet not complaining, and making load noises for no reason. :/
