Talking About YouTube Heroes To Get Views
Remember the time all you had to do to make a video go viral was by playing a well good RPG Maker game? Those were the times.

Title says all. Recently, YouTube has implemented the Heroes system, which allows people to become a volunteer for the YouTube community, and to earn points and level up on the Heroes program. How do you contribute? According to the website, you can contribute by reporting on videos that violate community guidelines, contributing subtitles, and answering a question on the YouTube help form, with your answer being featured as a Best Answer. However, this has angered many creators, such as Phillip Defranco, and are protesting against the new system. However, I find that way overblown. This is because, that I believe, that while it isn't broken, I blame the other people who contribute it to its negative reputation, such as SJWs and angry fanboys. To quote GradeAUnderA, "The internet !32@U!Y loves to complain about, I dunno why they like it, but the internet loves to have something to complain about. And we all know it's true! We all know that whenever there's a bandwagon forming on YouTube, everyone loves to jump on it. And we also know it, right? That YouTube is everyone's favorite scapegoat, and people are always looking to blame it for something." Hold it. Say that one more time. "YouTube is everyone's favorite scapegoat, and people are always looking to blame it for something." Huh. I guess why that literally EVERYTHING YouTube does will anger the community. However, I find a very good amount of potential in the Heroes system. For example, assuming I am a level 3 Hero, I find a very negative video under the assumed name of Keemstar, and everyone dislikes it. What is my response? To mass flag the video and take it down. While it does have its own negatives, it does have a huge amount of positives. You can report on well hated YouTubers (e.g. DSPgaming, Fine Brothers, #DramaAlert, Joey Salads, etc.) and also get to test out products for YouTube. In conclusion, to quote Gandhi, "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

vaderzlk11 :   There is NOTHING good about this, and there is a reason why people are complaining. Because people will abuse it. People like DSPGaming would be the same ass clown that would go after his "detractors" ranging from Sons of Kojima, DSPisms, and the DSP Tries It parodies, also he would definitely go after the ones that prove he's a scumbag loser and a terrible person.

This will also be used by the SJW crowd. If they find something offensive, they will report it. It's definitely a form of censorship, because a bunch of special snowflake idiots are so easily offended. They will find whatever they can out of a simple joke and blow it way out of proportion. Sure some channels are doing videos on it to get views, but there are a lot of Youtubers, smaller channels that are doing videos expressing how it's a bad thing for Youtube to do such a thing and putting the power in the wrong hands. It shows how lazy they are and can't deal with things in a equal manner.

You do realize that if someone doesn't like a Youtuber for their opinion, they will false flag the video, and get that video deleted and possibly shut down the channel right? I mean Youtube already has an issue with false flagging as is, this will be even worse. I myself am a very opiniated person, I've pissed many people off with my opinions, and on top of that some of my content is crude, I got a handful of people that constantly bash my work, if they became a "Youtube Hero" they could get my videos deleted. Why? Because they didn't like something I said or a opinion of a game I review, or a crude joke I said in a video. Hell the other day I did a review of Batman Forever, and I made a joke about playing co-op with Donald Trump, and I had people pissed about that. If they were Youtube Heroes that video would be gone.

The only people this could even be remotely good at shutting up is DramaAlert and maybe LeafyIsHere, but Keemstar is already banned from Youtube, his channel is being ran by someone else. He has no access to it, other then the $$$$ that comes in from revenue. Youtube is a broken mess because Google messed it up, and they try these idiotic ideas to think it will be better. As for GradeAUnderA going on about how the internet loves to complain. If I recall he complains about what others do, doesn't that make him a hypocrite? I mean the guy is an idiot in general for the most part. I never liked him. Should I become a Youtube Hero and shut him down for not liking his opinions? Nope, I wouldn't do that, I've never reported someone's video for their opinion or saying a crude joke, or having NSFW humor in their videos.
Still think this is a great idea? If you want to kill people expressing their thoughts, and kill off a lot of channels, then more power to everyone supporting it, then you can watch Youtube be full of complete crap.

Update: While I agree that he loves to complain at times and is a hypocrite, at least Grade's making some good points. Also, I actually am neutral at your Donald Trump joke, and it's just my opinion, along with this post.

I have to laugh at the dislike I got for my post. I guess people want a censored Youtube. I guess people want channels to be shut down, I guess people definitely want to see some of their favorite channels die off because false reporting. If you think people are "whining" now. Just you wait until the stuff gets in the wrong hands .

As for the Trump joke. It was there just for laughs. I don't vote, I hate politics, so I really don't support either, but I won't support a psychopath like Killary. lol.

HeavyMetalGamer : Sorry, that was me. I actually meant to press like on it, though I never realized that I actually pressed the dislike button. Btw, did you even read my post? I just said that it was just my opinion.

vaderzlk11 : Oh I don't care if you hit dislike, I just thought it was funny. I read your post, and I get you have that opinion, but I don't know how anyone with a brain can support this, not attacking you, but this reeks censorship and social justice warriors getting away with abusing it. This also allows morons like DSP to abuse it as well, because his "detractors" ruin his "business". Well when the guy lies, and screws over his fans and treats them like dog crap, there is a reason his Detractor's" speak the truth.

vaderzlk11 : I would hope he would be everyone's favorite, after all he uploads lots of high quality rips.

I should -probably- start a high quality rip thread but at the same time I don't really feel like it. Nevertheless I felt that this rip was incredibly fitting

YouTube heroes? More like YouTube villains. There is no way this can go further without kids and frauds abusing it to censor opinions. First YouTube forgets how copyright works, then it demonetizes thousands of videos because they are not ''advertiser-friendly'', and now they give up being moderators and let everyone in public abuse admin powers by censoring opinions, and censorship is almost always the worst thing ever besides mass surveilance. I think it's about time for people to move to either Hitbox, Dailymotion, or that Minds.com website I keep hearing about.
