Hockey season is starting! To all my hockey fans!

Well, I was looking at my Minnesota Wild app (Yes, I am a fan of that team.) And, I noticed that on the 26th they begin their season... This makes me really excited. I just began liking hockey due to my sister who has married into a hockey fan family... I guess hockey can rub off really quickly. Now I am going to be watching as much as I can. 
  
What about you guys, what hockey team is your favorite? What is the team you think will win?

Well, on the 26th they just begin their preseason. Their season opener will be on 13th of October @ St Louis. I'm rooting for their divisional rival, the Winnipeg Jets. With some luck they can make it to the play-offs. I do believe that the Montreal Canadiens will win the Stanley Cup. Price's injury destroyed them last year. If he can stay healthy for the majority of the season and the entire play-offs they can win it. They boosted their defense and offense. They will probably be the hardest team to score against.

Since the cubs won the world series then the blackhawks should become the Stanely cup champions with the Bears getting a surprise entry into the Super bowl with the bulls making it into the NBA playoffs. Hockey is an interesting sport but they could probably cut back the season as it starts maybe a month or two after football begins and doesn't end until June while Football officially ends in February. I think they do that so people have sports to watch year round as Basketball and Hockey overlap with Baseball and then Baseball is pretty much the lone sport until it overlaps with football for a bit.

I'm quite shocked by the rangers and what they have been doing this season so far. I think they are going to go really far this season, possibly as far as the eastern finals. Though I'll be rooting for the islanders a bit.
