I have a question, do Patreons get added to the list of donators?

As for if I'll do this, I'll probably stick with one of the other ways of donating.

Just out of curiosity, what are all the payment methods that Patreon accepts? If I can manage to scrape together $2 a month, I would love to send that your way. It's just that I have no bank account, no credit cards and no way to add money to my PayPal account.

Vanelan : I've got $30,000+ invested into the RGR Plugin so it's very unlikely that I'll be able to come up with the budget to have the RGR Plugin rebuilt from the ground up for a very long time.

If I ever was to have it rebuilt from the ground up though, I'd probably just have Mednafen implemented as a way to save money.

Just saw this and I highly approve! Not sure what the final result will be for all the levels but I'm sure with the suggestions here that you'll figure something good out.

I really wish I could contribute right now but I can't. However, I really hope that this turns into a secondary source of income that is consistent for you so that you can comfortably cover your bills and what not and still work on the site.

Yeah I would really love to incorporate incentivized ads if I could find a good provider of one. I love the idea of a user being able to earn Viz (with a chance at a greater prize) just by watching a few video ads.

Just a quick update. I'm pretty close to having this ready to go. The coding that was needed to make these privileges functioning is now complete. Now it's just a matter of putting together the Patreon page and making it look somewhat attractive. I'm taking a break for now but I'll get back to work on it in around 7 hours and will hopefully have it finished sometime Saturday.

In the mean time, you can see an example of a Patron in action (for testing purposes) by looking at Lieutenant Vicktz.

This is an interesting idea but since I already get 1.5X Viz and CP per action or whatever can I just donate $25 a month the normal way through the donation page in order to get Elite Status since I already have access to all the other perks? 

Divine Aurora : I think the 1.5 multiplier and the other Viz multiplier patron things are added on top of the multipler you get from how much CP you have. So if you get the 1.5 multiplier from the patron thing, you would get 2.0 multipler Viz all together, which you would normally only get if you have 100K CP.

Divine Aurora : The multiplier would be added on top of your current. I still plan to add another benefit to the $25 tier.

I've said this before, but I like your reward ideas, they're something that some people will feel is worth while, but won't eat up a huge portion of your time. I've seen a lot of Patreon campaigns that ultimately fail because creators promise much more than they are reliably capable of producing.

I would warn against trying to do this by the seat of your pants. Look into the Patreon API (If such a thing exists--I'd hope it does) and automate as much of this as possible. If you're manually editing users to give them special perks, you'll likely end up spending several hours per month just handling who's kept and hasn't kept their Patreon promises.


Also keep in mind that it's possible to game the system by pledging a certain amount of money, gaining all of those benefits, and then the day before your pledge is supposed to go through, cancelling your pledge. You'll need to keep track of this in some way to prevent users from doing this. (This is going off of complaints I heard a few years ago and may no longer hold true--look into it!)
